2The interaction between polyphyllin I and SQLE protein induces hepatotoxicity through SREBP-2/HMGCR/SQLE/LSS pathway显示文摘Polyphyllin I(PPI)and polyphyllin II(PII)are the main active substances in the Paris polyphylla.However,liver toxicity of these compounds has impeded their clinical application and the potential hepatotoxicity mechanisms remain to be elucidated.In this work,we found that PPI and PII exposure could induce significant hepatotoxicity in human liver cell line L-02 and zebrafish in a dose-dependent manner.The results of the proteomic analysis in L-02 cells and transcriptome in zebrafish indicated that the hepatotoxicity of PPI and PII was associated with the cholesterol biosynthetic pathway disorders,which were alleviated by the cholesterol biosynthesis inhibitor lovastatin.Additionally,3-hydroxy-3-methy-lglutaryl CoA reductase(HMGCR)and squalene epoxidase(SQLE),the two rate-limiting enzymes in the cholesterol synthesis,selected as the potential targets,were confirmed by the molecular docking,the overexpression,and knockdown of HMGCR or SQLE with siRNA.Finally,the pull-down and surface plasmon resonance technology revealed that PPI could directly bind with SQLE but not with HMGCR.Collectively,these data demonstrated that PPI-induced hepatotoxicity resulted from the direct binding with SQLE protein and impaired the sterol-regulatory element binding protein 2/HMGCR/SQLE/lanosterol synthase pathways,thus disturbing the cholesterol biosynthesis pathway.The findings of this research can contribute to a better understanding of the key role of SQLE as a potential target in drug-induced hepatotoxicity and provide a therapeutic strategy for the prevention of drug toxic effects with similar structures in the future.Zhiqi Li Qiqi Fan Meilin Chen Ying Dong Farong Li Mingshuang Wang Yulin Gu Simin Guo Xianwen Ye Jiarui Wu Shengyun Dai Ruichao Lin Chongjun Zhao 2023Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,1:2
3A continuous simulation of Holocene effective moisture change represented by variability of virtual lake level in East and Central Asia显示文摘The fluctuation of a single lake level is a comprehensive reflection of water balance within the basin, while the regional consistent fluctuations of lake level can indicate the change of regional effective moisture. Previous researches were mainly focused on reconstructing effective moisture by multiproxy analyses of lake sediments. We carried out a series of experiments, including a transient climate evolution model, a lake energy balance model and a lake water balance model to simulate continuous Holocene effective moisture change represented by variability of virtual lake level in East and Central Asia.The virtual lake level, area, water depth and salinity are not equivalent to actual values, but we estimated relative changes of the regional effective moisture. We also explored the driving mechanisms of effective moisture change in different geographical regions. Our results indicated that gradually falling effective moisture during the Holocene in northern China was due to the combined effects of high lake evaporation caused by longwave and shortwave radiation, and low precipitation caused by reductions of summer solar insolation. A decline in effective moisture through the Holocene in the Tibetan Plateau and southern Central Asia resulted from decreased precipitation because of the weakening of the Asian summer monsoon. 5Constructed TiO_(2)/WO_(3)heterojunction with strengthened nano-trees structure for highly stable electrochromic energy storage device显示文摘Tungsten trioxide(WO_(3))has been widely regarded as a prospective bifunctional material due to its electrochromic and pseudocapacitive properties,while still facing the dilemma of inadequate cycle stability and trapping-induced degradation.Here,inspired by the trees-strengthening approach,a unique titanium dioxide(TiO_(2))nanorod arrays strengthened WO_(3)nano-trees(TWNTs)heterojunction was rationally designed and constructed.In sharp contrast to the transmittance modulation(ΔT)attenuation of primary WO_(3)nano-trees during cycling,the TWNTs film showed not only excellent electrochromic performance but also fascinating cycle stability(77.35%retention of the initialΔT after 10,000 cycles).Besides,the trapping-induced degradation could be easily rejuvenated by a potentiostatic de-trapping process.An electrochromic energy storage device(EESD)was further assembled based on the TWNTs film to deliver excellentΔT(up to 79.5%at 633 nm),fast switching speed(tc/tb=1.9 s/14.8 s),extremely high coloration efficiency value(443.4 cm^(2)·C^(−1)),and long-term cycle stability(over 10,000 charge/discharge cycles).This innovative study provided in-depth insights into the electrochromism nature and a significant step in the realization of stable electrochromic-energy storage application,paving the way for multifunctional smart windows as well as next-generation optoelectronic devices.Lili Zhao Zhuoan Cai Xiaoyang Wang Wenbo Liao Simin Huang Lingyun Ye Jilie Fang Chunxing Wu Hao Qiu Lei Miao 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,3:1

8An ensemble learning classifier to discover arsenene catalysts with implanted heteroatoms for hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Accurate regulation of two-dimensional materials has become an effective strategy to develop a wide range of catalytic applications.The introduction of heterogeneous components has a significant impact on the performance of materials,which makes it difficult to discover and understand the structure-property relationships at the atomic level.Here,we developed a novel and efficient ensemble learning classifier with synthetic minority oversampling technique(SMOTE) to discover all possible arsenene catalysts with implanted heteroatoms for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).A total of 850 doped arsenenes were collected as a database and 140 modified arsenene materials with different doping atoms and doping sites were identified as promising candidate catalysts for HER,with a machine learning prediction accuracy of 81%.Based on the results of machine learning,we proposed 13 low-cost and easily synthesized two-dimensional Fe-doped arsenene catalytic materials that are expected to contribute to high-efficient HER.The proposed ensemble method achieved high prediction accuracy,but millions of times faster to predict Gibbs free energies and only required a small amount of data.This study indicates that the presented ensemble learning classifier is capable of screening high-efficient catalysts,and can be further extended to predict other two-dimensional catalysts with delicate regulation.An Chen Junfei Cai Zhilong Wang Yanqiang Han Simin Ye Jinjin Li 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,3:0
9Changing profile of lung cancer clinical characteristics in China:Over 8-year population-based study显示文摘Background:Although examinations and therapies for bronchial lung cancer,also called lung cancer(LC),have become more effective and precise,the morbidity and mortality of LC remain high worldwide.Describing the changing profile of LC characteristics over time is indispensable.This study aimed to understand the changes in real-world settings of LC and its characteristics in China.Methods:In this study,119,785 patients were enrolled from 2012 to 2020 in the Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital.The patients’medical records were extracted from the hospital’s database.Demographic characteristics,general clinicopathological information,and blood coagulation indices at the initial diagnoses were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis,Nemenyi,chi-squared,and Bonferroni tests.Changes in demographic characteristics during the 8-year study period,namely dynamic changes among different stages and different pathological types,were evaluated.Results:The percentages of female(from 38.50%[323/839]in 2012 to 48.29%[5112/10,585]in 2020)and non-smoking LC(from 69.34%[475/685]to 80.48%[8055/10,009])patients increased significantly during the study period,with a trend toward a younger age at diagnosis(from 3.58%[30/839]to 8.99%[952/10,585]).Over the study period,the proportion and absolute number of lung adenocarcinoma cases increased(from 67.97%[433/637]to 76.31%[6606/8657])while the proportion of lung squamous cell carcinoma decreased(from 21.19%[135/637]to 12.08%[1046/8657]).Comprehensive driver gene mutation examination became more common,and epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)mutation occurred more frequently in female vs.male(62.03%[12793/20625]vs.29.90%[8207/27,447])and non-smoking vs.smoking(53.54%[17,203/32,134]vs.23.73%[3322/13,997])patients(both P<0.001).The distribution of the common driver genes differed among different stages of LC.EGFR mutation was detected most frequently at each stage,and other driver gene alterations were more common in advanced stages(P<0.001).The combination of chemotherapy,targeted ther-apy,and immunotherapy,as a comprehensive management regimen,gradually became predominant over the study period(P<0.001).A hypercoagulable state was shown in advanced-stage LC patients and patients with the anaplastic lymphoma kinase fusion,indicated by significantly elevated levels of d-dimer,fibrinogen,and fibrinogen degradation products.Conclusions:This study comprehensively depicted the changing characteristics of Chinese LC patients over an 8-year period to provide preliminary insights into LC treatment.Trial registration:ClinicalTrials.gov,NCT05423236.Kandi Xu Hao Wang Simin Li Lishu Zhao Xinyue Liu Yujin Liu Li Ye Xiaogang Liu Linfeng Li Yayi He 2023Chinese Medical Journal Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine2023,1,3:0
10Tunable phase transition, band gap and SHG properties by halogen replacement of hybrid perovskites [(thiomorpholinium)PbX_(3), X = Cl,Br,I]显示文摘By the replacement of halogen anion,three new multifunctional organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites(thiomorpholinium)PbX_(3)(X=Cl,Br,I)were successfully synthesized and underwent reversible struc-tural transformation above room temperature,accompanied by the anomalous change of dielectric con-stant.With the adjustment of the halogen anion from Cl to I in the inorganic skeleton,the space group is transformed from centrosymmetric space group P2_(1)/c((thiomorpholinium)PbCl_(3))to chiral one P2_(1)2_(1)2_(1)((thiomorpholinium)PbBr3,(thiomorpholinium)PbI_(3))at room temperature.The ordered-disordered tran-sition of organic cations and the change of hydrogen bonds with the increase of temperature lead to above-room-temperature phase transitions.Ultraviolet absorption and second-harmonic generation(SHG)measurements confirmed that both the band gap and SHG activity of(thiomorpholinium)PbX_(3)(X=Cl,Br,I)crystals were tunable.The band gaps reveal a broadening trend with 3.532 e V,3.410 e V and 3.175 e V along the Cl→Br→I series.This work provides an effective molecular design for multifunctional organic-inorganic perovskites.Simin Liu Lei He Yuzhen Wang Pingping Shi Qiong Ye 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,2:0
11Distribution Line Longitudinal ProtectionMethod Based on Virtual Measurement Current Restraint显示文摘As an effective approach to achieve the“dual-carbon”goal,the grid-connected capacity of renewable energy increases constantly.Photovoltaics are the most widely used renewable energy sources and have been applied on various occasions.However,the inherent randomness,intermittency,and weak support of grid-connected equipment not only cause changes in the original flow characteristics of the grid but also result in complex fault characteristics.Traditional overcurrent and differential protection methods cannot respond accurately due to the effects of unknown renewable energy sources.Therefore,a longitudinal protection method based on virtual measurement of current restraint is proposed in this paper.The positive sequence current data and the network parameters are used to calculate the virtual measurement current which compensates for the output current of photovoltaic(PV).The waveform difference between the virtual measured current and the terminal current for internal and external faults is used to construct the protection method.An improved edit distance algorithm is proposed to measure the similarity between virtual measurement current and terminal measurement current.Finally,the feasibility of the protection method is verified through PSCAD simulation.WeiWang Yang Yu Simin Luo Wenlin Liu Wei Tang Yuanbo Ye 2024Energy Engineering2024,121,2:0
12AlphaMat: a material informatics hub connecting data, features, models and applications显示文摘The development of modern civil industry,energy and information technology is inseparable from the rapid explorations of new materials.However,only a small fraction of materials being experimentally/computationally studied in a vast chemical space.Artificial intelligence(AI)is promising to address this gap,but faces many challenges,such as data scarcity and inaccurate material descriptors.Here,we develop an AI platform,AlphaMat,that can complete data preprocessing and downstream AI models.With high efficiency and accuracy,AlphaMat exhibits strong powers to model typical 12 material attributes(formation energy,band gap,ionic conductivity,magnetism,bulk modulus,etc.).AlphaMat’s capabilities are further demonstrated to discover thousands of new materials for use in specific domains.AlphaMat does not require users to have strong programming experience,and its effective use will facilitate the development of materials informatics,which is of great significance for the implementation of AI for Science(AI4S).Zhilong Wang An Chen Kehao Tao Junfei Cai Yanqiang Han Jing Gao Simin Ye Shiwei Wang Imran Ali Jinjin Li 2023npj Computational Materials2023,,1:0
