1A semi-physical sediment yield model for estimation of suspended sediment in loess region显示文摘Sediment yield is a complex function of many environmental factors including climate,hydrology,vegetation,basin topography,soil types,and land cover.We present a new semi-physical watershed sediment yield model for the estimation of suspended sediment in loess region.This model is composed by three modules in slope,gully,and stream phases.For slope sediment yield,a balance equation is established based on the concept of hydraulic erosion capacity and soil erosion resistance capacity.According to the statistical analysis of watershed characteristics,we use an exponential curve to approximately describe the spatial variability of watershed soil erosion resistance capacity.In gully phase,the relationship between gully sediment concentration and flow velocity is established based on the Bagnold' stream power function.In the stream phase,we assume a linear dependence of the sediment volume in the reach on the weighted sediment input and output.The proposed sediment yield model is operated in conjunction with a conceptual hydrologic model,and is tested over 16 regions including testing grounds,and small,medium and large watersheds in the loess plateau region in the mid-reach of Yellow River.Our results indicate that the model is reasonable in structure and is able to provide a good simulation of sediment generation and transportation processes at both flood event scale and inter-annual time scale.The proposed model is generally applicable to the watersheds with soil texture similar to that of the loess plateau region in the Yellow River basin in China.Wei Si Weimin Bao Peng Jiang Liping Zhao Simin Qu 2017International Journal of Sediment Research2017,32,1:7

3Multi-3D hierarchical biomass-based carbon particles absorber for solar desalination and thermoelectric power generator显示文摘To meet challenges of the global energy crisis and the freshwater resources shortage,the interfacial solarto-steam conversion(ISSC)system was developed quickly in recent years.The photothermal materials play an important role in the ISSC system.We are devoted to developing a unique photothermal material integrating multiple 3 D design philosophy both at macroscopic and microscopic levels by employing the cost-effective and widespread resources like straw,rose and coffee grounds,for carbonization as solar absorbers.The biomass-based carbonized particles(CPs)possess three major advantages:(1)wide sizedistribution is accessible to form 3 D porous rough surface of absorber layer to enhance ability of light absorption;(2)the pristine hierarchical microstructure could absorb nearly all the incident light;(3)the intrinsic vascular bundles with pores on their lumen walls provide a rapid and omnidirectional transport for water and steam escape.A high-efficient solar steam device was fabricated based on the absorber material with its internal 3 D micro textures and external 3 D architectures.Under the illumination of 1 sun,the photothermal conversion efficiency of straw,rose and coffee CPs can reach 93.4%,92.8% and 76%,respectively.Simultaneously,a high-efficient solar thermoelectric generator(STEG)is made by coating CPs on a commercial thermoelectric generator and the maximum power of STEG can reach 538.0μW.Such scalable biomass-based photothermal materials and high-grade thermoelectric conversion capability could be applied to the water purification and the electricity production.Hao Jiang Xuemin Geng Simin Li Hongyu Tu Jiliang Wang Lixia Bao Peng Yang Yanfen Wan 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,59,24:1
4A continuous simulation of Holocene effective moisture change represented by variability of virtual lake level in East and Central Asia显示文摘The fluctuation of a single lake level is a comprehensive reflection of water balance within the basin, while the regional consistent fluctuations of lake level can indicate the change of regional effective moisture. Previous researches were mainly focused on reconstructing effective moisture by multiproxy analyses of lake sediments. We carried out a series of experiments, including a transient climate evolution model, a lake energy balance model and a lake water balance model to simulate continuous Holocene effective moisture change represented by variability of virtual lake level in East and Central Asia.The virtual lake level, area, water depth and salinity are not equivalent to actual values, but we estimated relative changes of the regional effective moisture. We also explored the driving mechanisms of effective moisture change in different geographical regions. Our results indicated that gradually falling effective moisture during the Holocene in northern China was due to the combined effects of high lake evaporation caused by longwave and shortwave radiation, and low precipitation caused by reductions of summer solar insolation. A decline in effective moisture through the Holocene in the Tibetan Plateau and southern Central Asia resulted from decreased precipitation because of the weakening of the Asian summer monsoon. 6Factors Associated with SARS-CoV-2 Repeat Positivity—Beijing,China,June–September 2020显示文摘Introduction:Repeat positive severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)following COVID-19 initial viral clearance(repositivity)poses a public health management challenge.The objective was to determine factors associated with neutralizing antibody(Nab)level and re-positivity among patients infected with a single strain SARS-CoV-2.Methods:During a single strain SARS-CoV-2 cluster in Beijing,China,longitudinal individual clinical,virological,and immunological data were collected from 368 infections from June 13 to September 22,2020.Factors associated with Nab level and re-positivity were analyzed using generalized estimating equations.Results:A total of 353(96%)SARS-CoV-2 infections had demographic,clinical,and laboratory data available.Among the 353 infections,55(15.5%)were re-positive,and blood draws were taken from 346 individuals(98.0%)during hospitalization and/or during the follow-up period.Symptoms were milder for the second-time admission for the re-positives,although 36.4%of re-positives presented with radiographic appearance of pneumonia manifestation.Compared to non-re-positive patients,NAb titers were lower among re-positives;NAb was positively associated with clinical severity.Samples from the lower respiratory tract manifested higher viral load than that from the upper respiratory tract.Multivariable analysis showed re-positivity was positively associated with being female[odd ratio(OR)=1.7,95%confidence interval(CI)1.1–2.8]and being aged<18 years(OR=5.2,95%CI 1.5–18.1);having initially asymptomatic infection(OR=13.7,95%CI 1.6–116.3);and negatively associated with a higher NAb level(OR=0.9,95%CI 0.5–1.7).Conclusions:NAb may be important for sustained viral clearance.Lower respiratory tract infection was associated with higher viral load among all infections when compared to upper respiratory tract infection.Continuous lower respiratory and intermittent upper respiratory viral shedding among COVID-19 infections may occur.Siqi Li Xiaoli Wang Li Li Yang Pan Siyuan Yang Dawei Tan Ying Shen Peng Yang Naor Bar-Zeev Yaling Hu Jacky MJennings Simin Li Linghang Wang Quanyi Wang 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,5:1

9Self-oriented central-tumor delivery of legumain-cleavable vehicles governed by circulating monocyte/macrophage for precise tumor enrichment and immune activation显示文摘Compressed blood and intratumoral lymphatic vessels induced by proliferated tumor cells and elevated interstitial fluid pressure produce regional hypoxic and necrotic region within tumors,which severely reduced the accessibility of immunogenic cell death(ICD)related drugs and immune-related cells.Herein,the strategy of self-oriented deep tumor delivery by circulating monocyte/macrophage was proposed.Briefly,CS-AI including an indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase(IDO)inhibitor indoximod(IND)and hydrophilic chitosan(CSO)linked with alanine-alanine-asparagine(AAN)was prepared,which could be selectively cleaved by legumain overexpressed in macrophages and promote the collapse in structure.Then,CS-AI was modified with mannose on the surface and further encapsulated the ICD inducer doxorubicin(DOX)to obtain M-CS-AI/DOX.Upon intravenous injection,MCS-AI/DOX was specially recognized and internalized by circulating monocyte in vivo.The formed drugs/monocyte tend to distribute in hypoxia/necrosis region guided by the homing signals released by tumor.Accumulated monocytes then further differentiated into macrophages,up-regulating the expression of legumain and promoting the sensitive-release of chemo-drug DOX,IND,and the mannose-modified CSO(M-CSO).The released IND would specifically regulate immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment,and synergistically inhibit tumor growth with immune activation elements,ICD-induced DOX,and the favorable adjuvant M-CSO.In summary,the self-oriented deep tumor delivery of legumain-cleavable nanovesicles through circulating monocyte makes it possible for reaching tumor regions inaccessible for nanoparticles and provides a novel insight for precise tumor enrichment and immune activation.Fangying Yu Xuwei Shang Yun Zhu Lijun Peng Simin Chen Tingting Meng Hong Yuan Fuqiang Hu 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:0
10DT-Net:Joint Dual-Input Transformer and CNN for Retinal Vessel Segmentation显示文摘Retinal vessel segmentation in fundus images plays an essential role in the screening,diagnosis,and treatment of many diseases.The acquired fundus images generally have the following problems:uneven illumination,high noise,and complex structure.It makes vessel segmentation very challenging.Previous methods of retinal vascular segmentation mainly use convolutional neural networks on U Network(U-Net)models,and they have many limitations and shortcomings,such as the loss of microvascular details at the end of the vessels.We address the limitations of convolution by introducing the transformer into retinal vessel segmentation.Therefore,we propose a hybrid method for retinal vessel segmentation based on modulated deformable convolution and the transformer,named DT-Net.Firstly,multi-scale image features are extracted by deformable convolution and multi-head selfattention(MHSA).Secondly,image information is recovered,and vessel morphology is refined by the proposed transformer decoder block.Finally,the local prediction results are obtained by the side output layer.The accuracy of the vessel segmentation is improved by the hybrid loss function.Experimental results show that our method obtains good segmentation performance on Specificity(SP),Sensitivity(SE),Accuracy(ACC),Curve(AUC),and F1-score on three publicly available fundus datasets such as DRIVE,STARE,and CHASE_DB1.Wenran Jia Simin Ma Peng Geng Yan Sun 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,76,9:0
11TC-Fuse: A Transformers Fusing CNNs Network for Medical Image Segmentation显示文摘In medical image segmentation task,convolutional neural networks(CNNs)are difficult to capture long-range dependencies,but transformers can model the long-range dependencies effectively.However,transformers have a flexible structure and seldom assume the structural bias of input data,so it is difficult for transformers to learn positional encoding of the medical images when using fewer images for training.To solve these problems,a dual branch structure is proposed.In one branch,Mix-Feed-Forward Network(Mix-FFN)and axial attention are adopted to capture long-range dependencies and keep the translation invariance of the model.Mix-FFN whose depth-wise convolutions can provide position information is better than ordinary positional encoding.In the other branch,traditional convolutional neural networks(CNNs)are used to extract different features of fewer medical images.In addition,the attention fusion module BiFusion is used to effectively integrate the information from the CNN branch and Transformer branch,and the fused features can effectively capture the global and local context of the current spatial resolution.On the public standard datasets Gland Segmentation(GlaS),Colorectal adenocarcinoma gland(CRAG)and COVID-19 CT Images Segmentation,the F1-score,Intersection over Union(IoU)and parameters of the proposed TC-Fuse are superior to those by Axial Attention U-Net,U-Net,Medical Transformer and other methods.And F1-score increased respectively by 2.99%,3.42%and 3.95%compared with Medical Transformer.Peng Geng Ji Lu Ying Zhang Simin Ma Zhanzhong Tang Jianhua Liu 2023Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,11:0
