| 1 | Enhanced activation of peroxydisulfate by strontium modified BiFeO3 perovskite for ciprofloxacin degradation显示文摘A series of Sr-doped BiFeO3 perovskites(Bi1-xSrxFeO3,BSFO)fabricated via sol-gel method was applied as peroxydisulfate(PDS)activator for ciprofloxacin(CIP)degradation.Various technologies were used to characterize the morphology and physicochemical features of prepared BSFO samples and the results indicated that Sr was successfully inserted into the perovskites lattice.The catalytic performance of BiFeO3 was significantly boosted by strontium doping.Specifically,Bi0.9Sr0.1FeO3(0.1 BSFO)exhibited the highest catalytic performance for PDS activation to remove CIP,where 95%of CIP(10 mg/L)could be degraded with the addition of 1 g/L 0.1 BSFO and 1 mmol/L PDS within 60 min.Moreover,0.1 BSFO displayed high reusability and stability with lower metal leaching.Weak acidic condition was preferred to neutral and alkaline conditions in 0.1 BSFO/PDS system.The boosted catalytic performance can be interpreted as the lower oxidation state of Fe and the existence of affluent oxygen vacancies generated by Sr doping,that induced the formation of singlet oxygen(^1O_(2))which was confirmed as the dominant reactive species by radical scavenging studies and electron spin resonance(ESR)tests.The catalytic oxidation mechanism related to major ^1O_(2) and minor free radicals was proposed.Current study opens a new avenue to develop effective A-site modified perovskite and expands their application for PDS activation in wastewater remediation. | Caicai Wang Shengwang Gao Jianchao Zhu Xunfeng Xia Mingxin Wang Yanna Xiong | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,1: | 4 |
| 2 | A Survey on Injury Incidence in School Children in Shantou City, China显示文摘To study incidence characteristics and causes of injury, and its medical consequences in school children of China. Methods A total of 2 553 school children aged 7-16 years were recruited from Shantou City in Gunagdong by cluster sampling method, and were investigated with questionnaires on cases of injuries occurred among them from October 1, 1996 to September 30, 1997. Results Injuries tended to increase with children抯 age, with an overall incidence rate of 37.96%, higher in boys than in girls (P<0.05); and 38.1% of children had more than two episodes of injury during this period. Falls took leading place of injury incidence both in boys and girls and in all age groups. Most injuries occurred when they were playing, sporting, riding and walking at home or in school. Self-inflicted injury ranked the first place of all injuries, followed by hurt caused by others (classmates, sibling or others). Moderate and serious injuries accounted for 8% of the total with a disability rate of 121.4/100 000. Conclusions Currently, injury has become one of the serious public health problems in China. | 5 | Molecular Characterization of a New Lectin from the Marine Alga Ulva pertusa显示文摘A new lectin, named UPL1, was purified from a green alga Ulvapertusa by an affinitychromatography on the bovine-thyroglobulin-Sepharose 4B column. The molecular mass of the algal lectinwas about 23 kD by SDS-PAGE, and it specifically agglutinated rabbit erythrocytes. The hemagglutinatingactivity for rabbit erythrocytes could be inhibited by bovine thyroglobulin and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. Thelectin UPL1 required divalent cations for maintenance of its biological activity, and was heat-stable, and hadhigher activity within pH 6-8. The N-terminal amino acid sequence of the purified lectin was determined(P83209) and a set of degenerate primers were designed. The full-length cDNA of the lectin was cloned byrapid amplification ofcDNA ends (RACE) method (AY433960). Sequence analysis of upll indicated it was! 084 bp long, and encoded a premature protein of 203 amino acids. The N-terminal sequence of the matureUPL1 polypeptide started at amino acid 54 of the deduced sequence from the cDNA, indicating 53 aminoacids lost due to posttranslational modification. The primary structure of the Ulva pertusa lectin did not showamino acid sequence similarity with known plant and animal lectins. | 14 | Wear and Corrosion Properties of Mo Surface-modified Layer in TiNi Alloy Prepared by Plasma Surface Alloying显示文摘In order to improve the wear resistance and restrain nickel release of TiNi alloys,the Mo modified layers on TiNi substrates were obtained using the double glow plasma surface alloying technique.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy(GDOES) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) were employed to investigate the morphology,composition and structure.Microhardness test and scratch test were performed to analyze the microhardness and coating/substrate adhesion.Tribological and electrochemical behaviors of the Mo modified layers on TiNi were tested by the reciprocating wear instrument and electrochemical measurement system.The Ni concentrations in Hanks' solution where surface electrochemical tests took place were measured by mass spectrometry.The surface-modified layer contained a Mo deposition layer and a Mo diffusion layer.The X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the modified layers were composed of Mo,MoTi,Mo Ni,and Ti_2Ni.The microhardnesses of the Mo modified layers treated at 900 ℃ and 950 ℃ were 832.8 HV and 762.4 HV,respectively,which was about 3 times the microhardness of the TiNi substrate.Scratch tests indicated that the modified layers possessed good adhesion with the substrate.Compared with as-received TiNi alloy,the modified alloys exhibited significant improvement of wear resistance against Si_3N_4 with low normal loads during the sliding tests.Mass spectrometry displayed that the Mo alloy layers had successfully inhibited the Ni release into the body. | 张红前 WANG Zhenxia YANG Hongyu SHAN Xiaolin LIU Xiaoping YU Shengwang 贺志勇 | 2016 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,4: | 1 |
