| 1 | Classification of seamount morphology and its evaluating significance of ferromanganese crust in the central Pacific Ocean显示文摘Using the SeaBeam technology, the morphology of seamount and its relation to the formation of cobalt-rich crust in the central Pacific Ocean were surveyed during the cruise in 2003 for marine mineral resources. The result shows that seamounts can be divided morphologically into the spire seamount and the flat topped seamount. These two types of seamount bear great differences in their landform, lithology and cobalt-rich crust. On the upper portion of the flat topped seamount, the flat top and the sharp escarpments are unfavorable to the growth of crust, and, consequently, the crusts here are mostly laminar or gravelly, their thicknesses generally show great variations, and the consecutive ore body often develops in its deep water region. On the spire topped seamount, however, the flat area is small, and its gradient is constant without large variation from the top to the bottom. This favors the growth of cobalt-rich crust and often leads to consecutive tabular ore body of medium thickness, occurring on the spire topped seamount from the shallow water region to the deep water region. The cobalt-rich crust on the spire topped seamount is much better than that on the flat topped seamount for the crust abundance, crust coverage and number of ore-occurrences within unit area. Furthermore, the crust on the spire topped seamount is rich in cobalt, nickel, manganese elements of high economic value. | 2 | Abnormal Metabolic Connectivity in Rats at the Acute Stage of Ischemic Stroke显示文摘Stroke at the acute stage is a major cause of disability in adults, and is associated with dysfunction of brain networks. However, the mechanisms underlying changes in brain connectivity in stroke are far from fully elucidated. In the present study, we investigated brain metabolism and metabolic connectivity in a rat ischemic stroke model of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)at the acute stage using18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography. Voxel-wise analysis showed decreased metabolism mainly in the ipsilesional hemisphere, and increased metabolism mainly in the contralesional cerebellum. We used further metabolic connectivity analysis to explore the brain metabolic network in MCAO.Compared to sham controls, rats with MCAO showed most significantly reduced nodal and local efficiency in the ipsilesional striatum. In addition, the MCAO group showed decreased metabolic central connection of the ipsilesional striatum with the ipsilesional cerebellum, ipsilesional hippocampus, and bilateral hypothalamus. | 5 | Exosomal PD-L1 induces osteogenic differentiation and promotes fracture healing by acting as an immunosuppressant显示文摘A moderate inflammatory response at the early stages of fracture healing is necessary for callus formation.Over-active and continuous inflammation,however,impairs fracture healing and leads to excessive tissue damage.Adequate fracture healing could be promoted through suppression of local over-active immune cells in the fracture site.In the present study,we achieved an enriched concentration of PD-L1 from exosomes(Exos)of a genetically engineered Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cell(HUVECs),and demonstrated that exosomes overexpressing PD-L1 specifically bind to PD-1 on the T cell surface,suppressing the activation of T cells.Furthermore,exosomal PD-L1 induced Mesenchymal Stem Cells(MSCs)towards osteogenic differentiation when pre-cultured with T cells.Moreover,embedding of Exos into an injectable hydrogel allowed Exos delivery to the surrounding microenvironment in a time-released manner.Additionally,exosomal PD-L1,embedded in a hydrogel,markedly promoted callus formation and fracture healing in a murine model at the early over-active inflammation phase.Importantly,our results suggested that activation of T cells in the peripheral lymphatic tissues was inhibited after local administration of PD-L1-enriched Exos to the fracture sites,while T cells in distant immune organs such as the spleen were not affected.In summary,this study provides the first example of using PD-L1-enriched Exos for bone fracture repair,and highlights the potential of Hydrogel@Exos systems for bone fracture therapy through immune inhibitory effects. | Ze Lin Yuan Xiong Weilin Meng Yiqiang Hu Lili Chen Lang Chen Hang Xue Adriana CPanayi Wu Zhou Yun Sun Faqi Cao Guodong Liu Liangcong Hu Chenchen Yan Xudong Xie Chuanchuan Lin Kaiyong Cai Qian Feng Bobin Mi Guohui Liu | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,7: | 4 |
| 6 | A novel hyperbranched aromatic polyamide containing bithiazole: Synthesis,metal complexation and magnetic properties显示文摘Based on the polycondensation of bifunctional 2,2′-diamino-4,4′-bithiazole(DABT) and trifunctional 1,3,5-benzenetricarbonyl trichloride (BTC),a novel hyperbranched aromatic polyamide PBD was synthesized with excellent solubility and good thermal stability.The structure of the polymer was confirmed by FT-IR and 1H NMR spectrum.The calculated degree of branching of our product was 52%.By exploring the influence of several different solvent systems,the yield of the polymer increased in the solvent system of DMAc/LiCl.Two kinds of metal complexes were obtained by chelation of the polyamide with Cu2+ and Ni2+,and the metal contents of the complexes were determined by complexometric titration.The magnetic behaviors of the complexes were examined as a function of magnetic field strength at 5 K,and as a function of temperature (5–300 K) at a magnetic field strength of 2.4 × 106 A/m.The results indicated that the complexes were soft ferromagnetic materials with Curie-Weiss temperature at 102 K and 53 K,respectively. | DING NengWen LIN WeiHong SUN WeiLin SHEN ZhiQuan | 2011 | Science China Chemistry2011,54,2: | 3 |
| 7 | Heterogeneous electrolyte membranes enabling double-side stable interfaces for solid lithium batteries显示文摘The solid polymer electrolyte(SPE) is one of the most promising candidates for building solid lithium batteries with high energy density and safety due to its advantages of flexibility and light-weight.However,the conventional monolayered electrolytes usually exhibit unstable contacts with either high-voltage cathodes or Li-metal anodes during cell operation.Herein,heterogeneous dual-layered electrolyte membranes(HDEMs) consisting of the specific functional polymer matrixes united with the designed solid ceramic fillers are constructed to address the crucial issues of interfacial instability.The electrolyte layers composed of the high-conductivity and oxidation-resistance polyacrylonitrile(PAN) combined with Li_(0.33)La_(0.557)TiO_(3) nanofibers are in contact with the high-voltage cathodes,achieving the compatible interface between the cathodes and the electrolytes.Meanwhile,the electrolyte layers composed of the highstability and dendrite-resistance polyethylene oxide(PEO) with Li_(6.4)La_(3) Zr_(1.4)Ta_(0.6)O_(12) nanoparticles are in contact with the Li-metal anodes,aiming to suppress the dendrite growth,as well as avoid the passivation between the PAN and the Li-metal.Consequently,the solid LiNi_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O2‖Li full cells based on the designed HDEMs show the good rate and cycling performance,i.e.the discharge capacity of 170.1 mAh g^(-1) with a capacity retention of 78.2% after 100 cycles at 0.1 C and 30℃.The results provide an effective strategy to construct the heterogeneous electrolyte membranes with double-side stable electrode/-electrolyte interfaces for the high-voltage and dendrite-free solid lithium batteries. | Shuang Mu Weilin Huang Wuhui Sun Ning Zhao Mengyang Jia Zhijie Bi Xiangxin Guo | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,9: | 2 |

The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and FT-IR, and the bonding model of these compounds was confirmed by X-ray single crystal diffraction for complex 1. It was found that four O atoms in two biphenol ligands as well as two O atoms in one ethylene glycol dimethyl ether (DME) molecule connect to the center rare earth metal atom, while sodium exists as counterpart cation to balance the charge.
