1Combined bone marrow stromal cells and oxiracetam treatments ameliorates acute cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury through TRPC6显示文摘Ischemic stroke has become one of the leading causes of deaths and disabilities all over the world.In this study,we investigated the therapeutic effects of combined bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs)and oxiracetam treatments on acute cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(I/R)injury.A rat model of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)followed by complete reperfusion,as well as a cortex neuron oxygen-glucose deprivation(OGD)model was established.When compared with BMSCs or oxiracetam monotherapy,combination therapy significantly improved functional restoration with decreased infarct volume in observed ischemic brain.We propose that it may occur through the transient receptor potential canonical(TRPC)6 neuron survival pathway.The increased expression of TRPC6 along with the reduction of neuronal cell death in the OGD cortex neurons and combination therapy group indicated that the TRPC6 neuron survival pathway plays an important role in the combined BMSCs and oxiracetam treatments.We further tested the activity of the calpain proteolytic system,and the results suggested that oxiracetam could protect the integrity of TRPC6 neuron survival pathway by inhibiting TRPC6 degradation.The protein levels of phospho-cAMP response element binding protein(p-CREB)were tested.It was found that BMSCs play a role in the activation of the TRPC6 pathway.Our study suggests that the TRPC6 neuron survival pathway plays a significant role in the protective effect of combined BMSCs and oxiracetam treatments on acute cerebral I/R injury.Combined therapy could inhibit the abnormal degradation of TRPC6 via decreasing the activity of calpain and increasing the activation of TRPC6 neuron survival pathway.Jing Wang Ruohan Sun Zhenzhu Li Yujun Pan 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,8:17

4Sedimentary Characteristics and Formation Mechanisms of Lacustrine Beach-Bars in the Fourth Member of the Shahejie Formation in the Shubei Area, Western Depression of the Liaohe Oilfield, China显示文摘Beach-bars are well developed in the fourth member of the Shahejie Formation in the Shubei area, western depression of the Liaohe oilfield. The fourth member is composed of two three-order sequences, including a lower Sequence 1(SQ1) and an upper Sequence 2(SQ2). SQ2, which is the focus of this study, comprises a lowstand systems tract(LST) and a transgressive system tract(TST). Three types of beach-bars have been recognized: shallow-littoral lacustrine sandy beach-bars, semi-deep lacustrine storm-related sandy beach-bars and shallow-littoral lacustrine carbonate beach-bars. Paleo-environments during the deposition of SQ2, including the paleo-geomorphology, paleo-water depth and paleo-source have been reconstructed to determine the formation mechanisms of the different types of beach-bars. The shallow-littoral lacustrine sandy beach-bars formed mainly by waves and currents and were mostly deposited in the LST, where water depths ranged from 3 to 9 m and the terrestrial clast supply is sufficient. The storm-related sandy beach-bars developed in the TST in the southern part of the study area near previously massively deposited sand bodies where there was sufficient water depth to preserve them. 5Tunable Ru-Ru2P heterostructures with charge redistribution for efficient pH-universal hydrogen evolution显示文摘Designing synergistic heterogeneous catalytic interfaces is the key to developing highly compatible pH-universal electrocatalysts for complex chemical environments.Our theoretical calculation results demonstrate that the Ru-Ru2P heterointerface can not only promote the redistribution of charges,but also reduce the d-band center,and then enhances the adsorption capacity of the key intermediate.However,in situ and facile synthesis of Ru-Ru2P heterostructures is severely limited by thermodynamic obstacles.Herein,we propose a molten salt-assisted catalytic synthesis scheme,and successfully build a series of homologous metallic Ru-Ru2P heterostructure catalysts with different molar ratios of Ru to P under atmospheric pressure and low-temperature(400C).The resultant Ru-Ru2P with rich heterostructures show the Pt-like HER performance in different pH media.Particularly,it is prominent under alkaline conditions(18 mV@10 mA cm^(2)),which outperforms the Pt catalyst(37 mV@10 mA cm^(2)).Furthermore,Ru-Ru2P heterostructures also show certain potential in the electrolysis of seawater to produce hydrogen.This work represents a significant supplement of high-efficiency pH-universal HER catalysts,and provides a new light on interface engineering in energy technology fields and beyond.Ding Chen Ruohan Yu Ruihu Lu Zonghua Pu Pengyan Wang Jiawei Zhu Pengxia Ji Dulan Wu Jinsong Wu Yan Zhao Zongkui Kou Jun Yu Shichun Mu 2022InfoMat2022,4,5:2
6Unraveling the reaction mechanisms of electrode materials for sodiumion and potassium‐ion batteries by in situ transmission electron microscopy显示文摘Sodium ion batteries(SIBs)and potassium ion batteries(PIBs)have caught numerous attention due to the low cost and abundant availability of sodium and potassium.However,their power density,cycling stability and safety need further improvement for practical applications.Investigations on the reaction mechanisms and structural degradation when cycling are of great importance.In situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)is one of the most significant techniques to understand and monitor electrochemical processes at an atomic scale with real-time imaging.In this review,the current progress in unraveling reaction mechanisms of electrode materials for SIBs and PIBs via in situ TEM is summarized.First,the importance of in situ TEM is highlighted.Then,based on the three types of electrochemical reaction,i.e.,intercalation reac-tion,conversion reaction and alloying reaction,the structural evolution and reaction kinetics at atomic resolution,and their relation to the electrochemical performance of electrode materials are reviewed and described in detail.Fi-nally,future directions of in situ TEM for SIBs and PIBs are proposed.Therefore,the in‐depth understanding revealed by in situ TEM will give an instructive guide in rational design of electrode materials for high performance electrode materials of SIBs and PIBs.Hong Wang Fang Liu Ruohan Yu Jinsong Wu 2022Interdisciplinary Materials2022,1,2:2

8Diagnosis of sewer pipe defects on image recognition of multi-features and support vector machine in a southern Chinese city显示文摘Closed circuit television(CCTV)systems are widely used to inspect sewer pipe conditions.During the diagnosis process,the manual diagnosis of defects is time consuming,labor intensive and error prone.To assist inspectors in diagnosing sewer pipe defects on CCTV inspection images,this paper presents an image recognition algorithm that applies features extraction and machine learning approaches.An algorithm of image recognition techniques,including Hu invariant moment,texture features,lateral Fourier transform and Daubechies(DBn)wavelet transform,was used to describe the features of defects,and support vector machines were used to classify sewer pipe defects.According to the inspection results,seven defects were defined;the diagnostic system was applied to a sewer pipe system in a southern city of China,and 28,760 m of sewer pipes were inspected.The results revealed that the classification accuracies of the different defects ranged from 51.6% to 99.3%.The overall accuracy reached 84.1%.The diagnosing accuracy depended on the number of the training samples,and four fitting curves were applied to fit the data.According to this paper,the logarithmic fitting curve presents the highest coefficient of determination of 0.882,and more than 200 images need to be used for training samples to guarantee the accuracy higher than 85%.Xiangyang Ye Jian’e Zuo Ruohan Li Yajiao Wang Lili Gan Zhonghan Yu Xiaoqing Hu 2019Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2019,13,2:1
9A multicenter randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of rhubarb in treating acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease of the syndrome type phlegm-heat obstructing the lungs显示文摘Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of oral administration of the traditional Chinese herb rhubarb to treat acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Method:This was a multicenter randomized double-blinded placebo controlled study that took place in 7 provinces of China that enrolled 244 patients(aged 18e80 years)who had acute exacerbation of COPD with the traditional Chinese syndrome pattern of phlegm-heat obstructing lung.Participants were divided into experimental and control groups.The experimental group received 4.5 g of rhubarb granules twice daily and the control group received placebo granules.Both groups also received conventional Western therapy consisting of oxygen therapy,an antibiotic,expectorant,and a bronchodilator.Treatment lasted 10 days.Symptom scores for cough,sputum volume and color,wheezing and chest tightness before treatment and on days 3,5,7,and 10 during the treatment were recorded.Lung function,arterial blood gas and levels of serum inflammatory factors,interleukin-4(IL-4),interleukin-8(IL-8),and interleukin-10(IL-10)and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-a),before and after treatment were measured.Results:The sample size of the full analysis set(FAS)was 244 participants,and the sample size of per protocol set(PPS)was 235.Following 10 days’treatment,symptom scores of the experimental group were markedly lower than those of the placebo group(FAS:mean difference1.67,95%CI:e2.66 to0.69,P Z 0.001;PPS:mean difference1.55,95%CI:2.56 to0.54,P Z 0.003).Lung function in the experimental group was significantly higher than in the placebo group(FEV1,FAS:mean difference 0.12,95%CI:0.06 to 0.18;P<0.001;PPS:mean difference 0.12,95%CI 0.05 to 0.18;P<0.001.FVC:FAS:mean difference 0.16,95%CI:0.06 to 0.26;P Z 0.002;PPS:mean difference 0.16,95%CI 0.05 to 0.26;P Z 0.003.FEV1%,FAS:mean difference 5.95,95%CI:3.36 to 8.53;P<0.001;PPS:mean difference 5.92,95%CI 3.28 to 8.56;P<0.001.).PaO2,PaCO2,as well as serum inflammatory factors were also improved when compared to the placebo group.There were no significant differences in the incidence rate of adverse reaction between the two groups.Conclusions:Compared with placebo,rhubarb granules significantly reduced symptom scores,improved blood oxygen level,controlled systemic inflammatory response,without significant adverse effects.Thus,rhubarb may be a beneficial adjuvant method for treating the phlegm-heat obstructing the lung syndrome pattern of AECOPD.Fengjie Zheng Yan Sun Xianggen Zhong Yueqi Wang Ruohan Wu Miao Liu Yuchao Liu Kuo Gao Yuhang Li 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2016,3,2:1

12Donor-Acceptor Typed AIE Luminogens with Near-infrared Emission for Super-resolution Imaging显示文摘Aggregation-induced emission(AIE)luminogens(AIEgens)with high brightness in aggregates exhibit great potentials in biological imaging,but these AIEgens are seldom applied in super-resolution biological imaging,especially in the imaging by using the structural illumination microscope(SIM).Based on this consideration,we synthesized the donor-acceptor typed AIEgen of DTPA-BTN,which not only owns high brightness in the near-infrared(NIR)emission region from 600 nm to 1000 nm(photoluminescence quantum yield,PLQYs=11.35%),but also displays excellent photo-stability.In addition,AIE nanoparticles based on 4,7-ditriphenylamine-[1,2,5]-thiadiazolo[3,4-c]pyridine(DTPA-BTN)were also prepared with highly emissive features and excellent biocompatibility.Finally,the developed DTPA-BTN-based AIE nanoparticles were applied in the super-resolution cellular imaging via SIM,where much smaller full width at half-maximum values and high signal to noise ratios were obtained,indicating the superior imaging resolution.The results here imply that highly emissive AIEgens or AIE nanoparticles can be promising imaging agents for super-resolution imaging via SIM.SHEN Qifei XU Ruohan WANG Zhi ZHAO Tianyu ZHOU Yu XU Yanzi YANG Zhiwei LEI Ming MENG Lingjie DANG Dongfeng 2021Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,1:0

14Health benefits from the rapid reduction in ambient exposure to air pollutants after China’s clean air actions:progress in efficacy and geographic equality显示文摘Clean air actions(CAAs)in China have been linked to considerable benefits in public health.However,whether the beneficial effects of CAAs are equally distributed geographically is unknown.Using high-resolution maps of the distributions of major air pollutants(fine particulate matter[PM_(2.5)]and ozone[O_(3)])and population,we aimed to track spatiotemporal changes in health impacts from,and geographic inequality embedded in,the reduced exposures to PM_(2.5)and O_(3)from 2013 to 2020.We used a method established by the Global Burden of Diseases Study.By analyzing the changes in loss of life expectancy(LLE)attributable to PM_(2.5)and O_(3),we calculated the gain of life expectancy(GLE)to quantify the health benefits of the air-quality improvement.Finally,we assessed the geographic inequality embedded in the GLE using the Gini index(GI).Based on risk assessments of PM_(2.5)and O_(3),during the first stage of CAAs(2013 to 2017),the mean GLE was 1.87 months.Half of the sum of the GLE was disproportionally distributed in about one quarter of the population exposed(GI 0.44).During the second stage of CAAs(2017 to 2020),the mean GLE increased to 3.94 months and geographic inequality decreased(GI 0.18).According to our assessments,CAAs were enhanced,from the first to second stages,in terms of not only preventing premature mortality but also ameliorating health inequalities.The enhancements were related to increased sensitivity to the health effects of air pollution and synergic control of PM_(2.5)and O_(3)levels.Our findings will contribute to optimizing future CAAs.Tao Xue Ruohan Wang Meng Wang Yanying Wang Dan Tong Xia Meng Conghong Huang Siqi Ai Fangzhou Li Jingyuan Cao Mingkun Tong Xueqiu Ni Hengyi Liu Jianyu Deng Hong Lu Wei Wan Jicheng Gong Shiqiu Zhang Tong Zhu 2024National Science Review2024,11,2:0

18Characteristics and Cause Analysis of Variations in Light Precipitation Events in the Central and Eastern Tibetan Plateau,China,During 1961–2019显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau(TP)is one of the most sensitive areas and is more susceptible to climate change than other regions in China.The TP also experiences extremely frequent light precipitation events compared to precipitation of other intensities.However,the definition,influencing factors,and characteristics of light precipitation in the TP have not been accurately explained.This study investigated the variation characteristics of light precipitation with intensities(Pre)of 0.1-10.0 mm/d based on climate data from 53 meteorological stations over the central and eastern TP from 1961 to 2019.For detailed analysis,light precipitation events were classified into five grades:G1[0.1-2.0 mm/d),G2[2.0-4.0 mm/d),G3[4.0-6.0 mm/d),G4[6.0-8.0 mm/d),and G5[8.0-10.0 mm/d).The results showed that both the amount of precipitation and number of precipitation days had increased significantly at rates of 4.0-6.0 mm/10 yr and 2.0-4.0 d/10 yr,respectively,and most precipitation events were of low intensity(0.1≤Pre<2.0 mm/d).Light precipitation events mainly occurred in the southeast of the study area,and it showed an increasing trend from the northwest to the southeast.Abrupt changes in light precipitation primarily occurred in the 1980 s.A comprehensive time series analysis using the Mann-Kendall test and Morlet wavelet was performed to characterize the abrupt changes and cycles of light precipitation.During the study period,the main periods of light precipitation corresponded to the 6 yr cycle,with obvious periodic oscillation characteristics,and this cycle coexisted with cycles of other scales.Significant correlations were observed between the amount of light precipitation and temperature over the study area.The findings will enhance our understanding of changes in light precipitation in the TP and provide Scientific basis for the definition of light precipitation in the future.LI Kaifang CAO Liguo ZHOU Zhengchao JIAO Lei WANG Ning LIU Ruohan 2022Chinese Geographical Science2022,32,1:0
19Chemical cross-linking and mechanically reinforced carbon network constructed by graphene boosts potassium ion storage显示文摘Carbon-based electrodes of potassium-ion batteries are of great research interest ascribed to their low cost and environmentally friendly distinctions.However,traditional carbon materials usually exhibit weak mechanical properties and incomplete crosslinking,resulting in poor stability and electrochemical performance.Herein,we report a new strategy for modifying reduced graphene oxide into a uniform few-layer structure through a sol–gel method combined with acid etching treatment.The obtained chemical cross-linking and mechanically reinforced carbon network constructed by graphene(CNCG)demonstrates excellent electrochemical and mechanical properties.Adopted as a free-standing anode(~7 mg·cm^(−2))for potassium ion battery,the asachieved CNCG delivers a high reversible specific capacity of 317.7 mAh·g^(−1) at a current density of 50 mA·g^(−1) and admirable cycle stability(208.4 mAh·g^(−1) at 50 mA·g^(−1) after 500 cycles).The highly reversible structural stability and fully cross-linked properties during potassiation are revealed by ex-situ characterization.This work provides new ideas for the synthesis of new carbon materials and the development of high-performance electrodes.Chenxu Wang Ruohan Yu Wen Luo Wencong Feng Yuanhao Shen Nuo Xu Liqiang Mai 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:0
