1Correlation between lower gastrointestinal tract symptoms and quality of life in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore correlations between the symptoms of constipation and abdominal distention and severity of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)in patients with stable disease.METHODS:We studied 191 patients with stable COPD(according to defined criteria)in this cross-sectional study from four three-level class A Chinese medicine hospitals in China.We built an Epidata 3.0 database and performed statistical analysis with SPSS,version 17.0.We analyzed correlations between the frequency of lower gastrointestinal tract symptoms(constipation and abdominal distention)and scores for major pulmonary symptoms(cough,sputum and wheezing)based on the St.George's Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ),6-minute walking distance(6MWD)and frequency of acute exacerbations of COPD(AECOPD).RESULTS:In addition to their pulmonary symptoms,39.79%and 40.31%of study patients withstable COPD reported constipation and abdominal distention,respectively.Scores for major pulmonary symptoms(cough,sputum and wheezing),AECOPD and SGRQ values in patients with constipation and abdominal distention were significantly greater,and the 6MWD markedly shorter,than in those without them.According to Pearson's correlation analysis,there were strong correlations between these lower gastrointestinal tract symptoms and scores for pulmonary symptoms,SGRQ,6MWD and AECOPD.CONCLUSION:Lower gastrointestinal tract symptoms such as constipation and abdominal distention can adversely affect pulmonary symptoms,frequency of acute exacerbations and quality of life in patients with stable COPD.Yan Sun Fengjie Zheng Yuhang Li Ruohan Wu Yuchao Liu Miao Liu Jinchao Zhang Kuo Gao 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5:10
2Sugarcane bagasse dietary fiber as an adjuvant therapy for stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease:a four-center,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled study显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of sugarcane bagasse dietary fiber as an adjuvant therapy for improving quality of life in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).METHODS:This was a multicenter,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled trial.A total of196 participants were randomized into a trial group(treated with 6 g/day sugarcane bagasse plus conventional treatment,n = 98) and a control group(treated with placebo plus conventional treatment,n = 98).All efficacy analyses were performed according to the intention-to-treat(ITT) principle.A per-protocol analysis set(PPS) was used to analyze the cases that completed the clinical trial with good compliance.The trial period was 30 days,with a 6-month follow-up.Pre-and post-treatmentpulmonary symptom scores(cough,sputum,wheezing,and dyspnea) were recorded for both groups.The St.George's Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ) and the modified Medical Research Council(m MRC) dyspnea scale were assessed before treatment and at the end of the 6-month follow-up.RESULTS:The ITT population was 178 and the PPS population was 166.Post-treatment pulmonary clinical symptoms and severity of dyspnea(m MRC and SGRQ evaluation) were significantly improved in both the trial group and the control group(ITT and PPS:P < 0.05).However,there was no statistical difference between the two groups in post-treatment pulmonary symptoms and m MRC.There was a greater reduction in the SGRQ subscales of activity,effect and total score in the trial group compared with the control group(ITT and PPS:P < 0.01).There was no statistical difference in pre-and post-treatment safety variables in either group.CONCLUSION:Sugarcane bagasse combined with conventional treatment improved quality of life in patients with stable COPD.Sugarcane bagasse appears to be a safe herbal medicine with potential for treating patients with stable COPD when taken orally as an adjuvant therapy.Liu Miao Zheng Fengjie Ni Lei Sun Yan Wu Ruohan Zhang Tianyu Zhang Jinchao Zhong Xianggen Li Yuhang 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4:2
3Tunable Ru-Ru2P heterostructures with charge redistribution for efficient pH-universal hydrogen evolution显示文摘Designing synergistic heterogeneous catalytic interfaces is the key to developing highly compatible pH-universal electrocatalysts for complex chemical environments.Our theoretical calculation results demonstrate that the Ru-Ru2P heterointerface can not only promote the redistribution of charges,but also reduce the d-band center,and then enhances the adsorption capacity of the key intermediate.However,in situ and facile synthesis of Ru-Ru2P heterostructures is severely limited by thermodynamic obstacles.Herein,we propose a molten salt-assisted catalytic synthesis scheme,and successfully build a series of homologous metallic Ru-Ru2P heterostructure catalysts with different molar ratios of Ru to P under atmospheric pressure and low-temperature(400C).The resultant Ru-Ru2P with rich heterostructures show the Pt-like HER performance in different pH media.Particularly,it is prominent under alkaline conditions(18 mV@10 mA cm^(2)),which outperforms the Pt catalyst(37 mV@10 mA cm^(2)).Furthermore,Ru-Ru2P heterostructures also show certain potential in the electrolysis of seawater to produce hydrogen.This work represents a significant supplement of high-efficiency pH-universal HER catalysts,and provides a new light on interface engineering in energy technology fields and beyond.Ding Chen Ruohan Yu Ruihu Lu Zonghua Pu Pengyan Wang Jiawei Zhu Pengxia Ji Dulan Wu Jinsong Wu Yan Zhao Zongkui Kou Jun Yu Shichun Mu 2022InfoMat2022,4,5:2
4Unraveling the reaction mechanisms of electrode materials for sodiumion and potassium‐ion batteries by in situ transmission electron microscopy显示文摘Sodium ion batteries(SIBs)and potassium ion batteries(PIBs)have caught numerous attention due to the low cost and abundant availability of sodium and potassium.However,their power density,cycling stability and safety need further improvement for practical applications.Investigations on the reaction mechanisms and structural degradation when cycling are of great importance.In situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)is one of the most significant techniques to understand and monitor electrochemical processes at an atomic scale with real-time imaging.In this review,the current progress in unraveling reaction mechanisms of electrode materials for SIBs and PIBs via in situ TEM is summarized.First,the importance of in situ TEM is highlighted.Then,based on the three types of electrochemical reaction,i.e.,intercalation reac-tion,conversion reaction and alloying reaction,the structural evolution and reaction kinetics at atomic resolution,and their relation to the electrochemical performance of electrode materials are reviewed and described in detail.Fi-nally,future directions of in situ TEM for SIBs and PIBs are proposed.Therefore,the in‐depth understanding revealed by in situ TEM will give an instructive guide in rational design of electrode materials for high performance electrode materials of SIBs and PIBs.Hong Wang Fang Liu Ruohan Yu Jinsong Wu 2022Interdisciplinary Materials2022,1,2:2
5A multicenter randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of rhubarb in treating acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease of the syndrome type phlegm-heat obstructing the lungs显示文摘Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of oral administration of the traditional Chinese herb rhubarb to treat acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Method:This was a multicenter randomized double-blinded placebo controlled study that took place in 7 provinces of China that enrolled 244 patients(aged 18e80 years)who had acute exacerbation of COPD with the traditional Chinese syndrome pattern of phlegm-heat obstructing lung.Participants were divided into experimental and control groups.The experimental group received 4.5 g of rhubarb granules twice daily and the control group received placebo granules.Both groups also received conventional Western therapy consisting of oxygen therapy,an antibiotic,expectorant,and a bronchodilator.Treatment lasted 10 days.Symptom scores for cough,sputum volume and color,wheezing and chest tightness before treatment and on days 3,5,7,and 10 during the treatment were recorded.Lung function,arterial blood gas and levels of serum inflammatory factors,interleukin-4(IL-4),interleukin-8(IL-8),and interleukin-10(IL-10)and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-a),before and after treatment were measured.Results:The sample size of the full analysis set(FAS)was 244 participants,and the sample size of per protocol set(PPS)was 235.Following 10 days’treatment,symptom scores of the experimental group were markedly lower than those of the placebo group(FAS:mean difference1.67,95%CI:e2.66 to0.69,P Z 0.001;PPS:mean difference1.55,95%CI:2.56 to0.54,P Z 0.003).Lung function in the experimental group was significantly higher than in the placebo group(FEV1,FAS:mean difference 0.12,95%CI:0.06 to 0.18;P<0.001;PPS:mean difference 0.12,95%CI 0.05 to 0.18;P<0.001.FVC:FAS:mean difference 0.16,95%CI:0.06 to 0.26;P Z 0.002;PPS:mean difference 0.16,95%CI 0.05 to 0.26;P Z 0.003.FEV1%,FAS:mean difference 5.95,95%CI:3.36 to 8.53;P<0.001;PPS:mean difference 5.92,95%CI 3.28 to 8.56;P<0.001.).PaO2,PaCO2,as well as serum inflammatory factors were also improved when compared to the placebo group.There were no significant differences in the incidence rate of adverse reaction between the two groups.Conclusions:Compared with placebo,rhubarb granules significantly reduced symptom scores,improved blood oxygen level,controlled systemic inflammatory response,without significant adverse effects.Thus,rhubarb may be a beneficial adjuvant method for treating the phlegm-heat obstructing the lung syndrome pattern of AECOPD.Fengjie Zheng Yan Sun Xianggen Zhong Yueqi Wang Ruohan Wu Miao Liu Yuchao Liu Kuo Gao Yuhang Li 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2016,3,2:1
6Research on neck dissection for oral squamous-cell carcinoma:a bibliometric analysis显示文摘Neck dissection for oral squamous-cell carcinoma(OSCC)is a clinically controversial issue and has therefore been the subject of abundant research.However,no one has performed a bibliometric study on this topic to date.The aim of this study was to assess the development of research on neck dissection for OSCC in terms of the historical evolution,current hotspots and future directions,particularly including research trends and frontiers from 2010 to 2019.Literature records related to research on neck dissection for OSCC were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection(WoSCC).CiteSpace was used as a tool to perform a bibliometric analysis of this topic.The survey included 2096 papers.“Otorhinolaryngology”was the most popular research area.The most active institutions and countries were Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the USA,respectively.Shah J.P.was the most cited author.Among the six identified“core journals”,Head&Neck ranked first.The top three trending keywords were‘invasion’,‘upper aerodigestive’and‘negative neck’.‘D’Cruz AK(2015)’was the most cited and the strongest burst reference in the last decade.The study evaluated the effect on survival of elective versus therapeutic neck dissection in patients with lateralized early-stage OSCC.The depth of invasion and the management of N0 OSCC were research frontiers in this field.The present study provides a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of research on neck dissection for OSCC,which will assist investigators in exploring potential research directions.Zhou Jiang Chenzhou Wu Shoushan Hu Nailin Liao Yingzhao Huang Haoran Ding Ruohan Li Yi Li 2021International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,2:1

8Tuning Active Metal Atomic Spacing by Filling of Light Atoms and Resulting Reversed Hydrogen Adsorption-Distance Relationship for Efficient Catalysis显示文摘Precisely tuning the spacing of the active centers on the atomic scale is of great significance to improve the catalytic activity and deepen the understanding of the catalytic mechanism,but still remains a challenge.Here,we develop a strategy to dilute catalytically active metal interatomic spacing(d_(M-M))with light atoms and discover the unusual adsorption patterns.For example,by elevating the content of boron as interstitial atoms,the atomic spacing of osmium(d_(Os-Os))gradually increases from 2.73 to 2.96?.More importantly,we find that,with the increase in dOs-Os,the hydrogen adsorption-distance relationship is reversed via downshifting d-band states,which breaks the traditional cognition,thereby optimizing the H adsorption and H_2O dissociation on the electrode surface during the catalytic process;this finally leads to a nearly linear increase in hydrogen evolution reaction activity.Namely,the maximum dOs-Os of 2.96?presents the optimal HER activity(8 mV@10 mA cm^(-2))in alkaline media as well as suppressed O adsorption and thus promoted stability.It is believed that this novel atomic-level distance modulation strategy of catalytic sites and the reversed hydrogen adsorption-distance relationship can shew new insights for optimal design of highly efficient catalysts.Ding Chen Ruihu Lu Ruohan Yu Hongyu Zhao Dulan Wu Youtao Yao Kesong Yu Jiawei Zhu Pengxia Ji Zonghua Pu Zongkui Kou Jun Yu Jinsong Wu Shichun Mu 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,10:0
9Photoexcitation-induced passivation of SnO_(2) thin film for efficient perovskite solar cells显示文摘A high-quality tin oxide electron transport layer(ETL)is a key common factor to achieve high-performance perovskite solar cells(PSCs).However,the conventional annealing technique to prepare high-quality ETLs by continuous heating under near-equilibrium conditions requires high temperatures and a long fabrication time.Alternatively,we present a non-equilibrium,photoexcitation-induced passivation technique that uses multiple ultrashort laser pulses.The ultrafast photoexcitation and following electron–electron and electron–phonon scattering processes induce ultrafast annealing to efficiently passivate surface and bulk defects,and improve the crystallinity of SnO_(2),resulting in suppressing the carrier recombination and facilitating the charge transport between the ETL and perovskite interface.By rapidly scanning the laser beam,the annealing time is reduced to several minutes,which is much more efficient compared with conventional thermal annealing.To demonstrate the university and scalability of this technique,typical antisolvent and antisolvent-free processed hybrid organic–inorganic metal halide PSCs have been fabricated and achieved the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 24.14%and 22.75%respectively,and a 12-square-centimeter module antisolvent-free processed perovskite solar module achieves a PCE of 20.26%,with significantly enhanced performance both in PCE and stability.This study establishes a new approach towards the commercialization of efficient low-temperature manufacturing of PSCs.Nianyao Chai Xiangyu Chen Zhongle Zeng Ruohan Yu Yunfan Yue Bo Mai Jinsong Wu Liqiang Mai Yi-Bing Cheng Xuewen Wang 2023National Science Review2023,10,11:0
10ZIF-Mediated Anchoring of Co species on N-doped Carbon Nanorods as an Efficient Cathode Catalyst for Zn-Air Batteries显示文摘Developing efficient oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)catalyst is essential for the practical application of Zn-air batteries(ZABs).In this contribution,we develop a novel zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)-mediated strategy to anchor Co species on N-doped carbon nanorods for efficient ORR.Featuring ultrahigh N-doping(10.29 at.%),monodisperse Co nanocrystal decoration,and well-dispersed Co-N_(x)functionalization,the obtained Co-decorated N-doped carbon nanorods(Co@NCNR)exhibit a decent ORR performance comparable to commercial Pt/C in alkaline media.Aqueous ZABs have been assembled using Co@NCNR as the cathode catalyst.The assembled ZABs manifest high initial open-circuit voltage as well as high energy density.In addition,the Co@NCNR also demonstrates ideal ORR performance in quasi-solid-state ZABs.Qiang Yu Jianshuai Lv Jiantao Li Ruohan Yu Jinsong Wu Shibo Xi Xinyuan Li Nuo Xu Liang Zhou Liqiang Ma 2023Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,3:0
11Reservoir Characteristics and Controlling Factors of Silurian Lower Kepingtage Formation in Tahe Area, Tarim Basin, NW China显示文摘With the breakthrough of exploration in Well TP16-1, the lower Kepingtage Formation becomes a key target for petroleum exploration of deep clastic reservoir in Tahe area. In this paper we focused on the research of the reservoir characteristics and its controlling factors in two sub-member formations(S_1k_1~1 and S_1k_1~3). Based on X-ray diffraction, conventional physical properties data(porosity and permeability) and reservoir storage space data(casting thin section and scanning electron microscope), we determined that the S_1k_1 Formation belongs to extra-low porosity and permeability reservoir, although the upper S_1k_1~3 Formation shows relative better physical characteristic than the lower S_1k_1~1 Formation. The development of storage space in the study area is controlled by sedimentary microfacies, diagenesis process. Reservoirs in S_1k_1 Formation are mainly located in channel(S_1k_1~1 sandstones) and sand flat(S_1k_1~3 sandstones). The sand flat sediments with a more coarse grain size compared with the channel. In diagenesis, compaction is the major controlling factor for reducing the porosity, followed by cementation. Dissolution of diagenesis is the major controlling factor in enhancing the reservoir porosities. Compared with channel(S_1k_1~1) sandstones, sand flat sandstones(S_1k_1~3) have better reservoir quality for its weaker compaction, cementation and stronger dissolution. On the basis of sedimentary characteristics(grain size and subfacies), physical property(porosity and permeability) and reservoir storage space, we divide the S_1k_1 reservoir into three categories(I, II and III). Type I reservoir is high quality reservoir. It is mainly distributed in the south area of S_1k_1~1 and S_1k_1~3 reservoir. Type II is moderate reservoir. It is located in the middle of S_1k_1~1 reservoir and in the north of S_1k_1~3 reservoir. Type III is the poor reservoir.
