| 1 | Ultrathin monolithic 3D printed optical coherence tomography endoscopy for preclinical and clinical use显示文摘Preclinical and clinical diagnostics increasingly rely on techniques to visualize internal organs at high resolution via endoscopes.Miniaturized endoscopic probes are necessary for imaging small luminal or delicate organs without causing trauma to tissue.However,current fabrication methods limit the imaging performance of highly miniaturized probes,restricting their widespread application.To overcome this limitation,we developed a novel ultrathin probe fabrication technique that utilizes 3D microprinting to reliably create side-facing freeform micro-optics(<130μm diameter)on single-mode fibers.Using this technique,we built a fully functional ultrathin aberration-corrected optical coherence tomography probe.This is the smallest freeform 3D imaging probe yet reported,with a diameter of 0.457 mm,including the catheter sheath.We demonstrated image quality and mechanical flexibility by imaging atherosclerotic human and mouse arteries.The ability to provide microstructural information with the smallest optical coherence tomography catheter opens a gateway for novel minimally invasive applications in disease. | Jiawen Li Simon Thiele Bryden C.Quirk Rodney W.Kirk Johan W.Verjans Emma Akers Christina A.Bursill Stephen J.Nicholls Alois M.Herkommer Harald Giessen Robert A.McLaughlin | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020，9，1： | 6 |

| 3 | Neuromuscular electrical stimulation and testosterone did not influence heterotopic ossification size after spinal cor injury: A case series显示文摘Neuromuscular electrical stimulation(NMES) and testosterone replacement therapy(TRT) are effective rehabilitation strategies to attenuate muscle atrophy and evoke hypertrophy in persons with spinal cord injury(SCI). However both interventions might increase heterotopic ossification(HO) size in SCI patients. We present the results of two men with chronic traumatic motor complete SCI who also had pre-existing HO and participated in a study investigating the effects of TRT or TRT plus NMES resistance training(RT) on body composition. The 49-year-old male, Subject A, has unilateral HO in his right thigh. The 31-year-old male, Subject B, has bilateral HO in both thighs. Both participants wore transdermal testosterone patches(4-6 mg/d) daily for 16 wk. Subject A also underwent progressive NMES-RT twice weekly for 16 wk. Magnetic resonance imaging scans were acquired prior to and post intervention. Cross-sectional areas(CSA) of thewhole thigh and knee extensor skeletal muscles, femoral bone, and HO were measured. In Subject A(NMES-RT + TRT), the whole thigh skeletal muscle CSA increased by 10%, the knee extensor CSA increased by 17%, and the HO + femoral bone CSA did not change. In Subject B(TRT), the whole thigh skeletal muscle CSA increased by 13% in the right thigh and 6% in the left thigh. The knee extensor CSA increased by 7% in the right thigh and did not change in the left thigh. The femoral bone and HO CSAs in both thighs did not change. | 4 | ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT发现肿瘤患者意外病灶的临床价值显示文摘目的评价^(18)F-脱氧葡萄糖(FDG)PET/CT 全身显像探测肿瘤患者意外病灶的临床价值。方法回顾性分析澳大利亚 Peter MacCallum 肿瘤医院 PET/CT 中心2002年8月~2003年7月1727例肿瘤患者^(18)F-FDG PET/CT 全身显像报告,男980例,女747例,中位年龄63岁,随访37个月(中位时间为27.5个月)。意外病灶指新发现的与原发肿瘤无关的良性病灶或第2原发肿瘤。通过分析病历记录、病理结果、其他影像学检查结果及临床随访,确定病灶最终结果。结果 1727例患者共发现238例(13.8%)有意外病灶,其中213例220个意外病灶具有完整的随访资料。60个病灶怀疑为意外第2原发肿瘤,其中21.7%(13/60)证实为真阳性,70.0%(42/60)为假阳性,8.3%(5/60)至研究结束时未得到证实。38个甲状腺意外良性病灶,其中9个被证实为临床前恶性或恶性病灶,26个良性,3个未能证实。38个纵隔意外良性病灶,其中86.8%(33/38)证实为良性,7.9%(3/38)为原发肿瘤淋巴结侵犯,5.3%(2/38)未能证实其性质。其他部位84个意外良性病灶,94.0%(79/84)证实为真阴性,6.0%(5/84)未能证实。共22例患者被证实存在第2原发肿瘤病灶,占本研究总人群的1.3%。结论 ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT 全身显像是目前探测肿瘤患者意外病灶较好的无创方法,为制定临床治疗方案提供及时准确的依据。 | 王国慧 Eddie W.F.
