| 1 | Monocular depth estimation based on deep learning: An overview显示文摘Depth information is important for autonomous systems to perceive environments and estimate their own state. Traditional depth estimation methods, like structure from motion and stereo vision matching, are built on feature correspondences of multiple viewpoints. Meanwhile, the predicted depth maps are sparse. Inferring depth information from a single image(monocular depth estimation) is an ill-posed problem. With the rapid development of deep neural networks, monocular depth estimation based on deep learning has been widely studied recently and achieved promising performance in accuracy. Meanwhile, dense depth maps are estimated from single images by deep neural networks in an end-to-end manner. In order to improve the accuracy of depth estimation, different kinds of network frameworks, loss functions and training strategies are proposed subsequently. Therefore, we survey the current monocular depth estimation methods based on deep learning in this review. Initially, we conclude several widely used datasets and evaluation indicators in deep learning-based depth estimation. Furthermore, we review some representative existing methods according to different training manners: supervised, unsupervised and semi-supervised. | 3 | Stable Isotopes in Precipitation in Xilin River Basin,Northern China and Their Implications显示文摘Under the increasing pressure of water shortage and steppe degradation,information on the hydrological cycle in steppe region in Inner Mongolia,China is urgently needed.An intensive investigation of the temporal variations ofδD andδ1 8O in precipitation was conducted in 2007-2008 in the Xilin River Basin,Inner Mongolia in the northern China.TheδD andδ1 8O values for 54 precipitation samples range from+1.1‰to-34.7‰and-3.0‰to -269‰,respectively.This wide range indicates that stable isotopes in precipitation are primarily controlled by different condensation mechanisms as a function of air temperature and varying sources of vapor.The relationship between δD andδ1 8 O defined a well constrained line given by δD =7.89 δ18O+9.5,which is nearly identical to the Meteoric Water Line in the northern China.The temperature effect is clearly displayed in this area.The results of backward tra- jectory of each precipitation day show that the vapor of the precipitation in cold season(October to March)mainly originates from the west while the moisture source is more complicated in warm season(April to September).A light precipitation amount effect existes at the precipitation event scale in this area.The vapor source of precipitation with higher d-excesses are mainly from the west wind or neighboring inland area and precipitation with lower d-excesses from a monsoon source from the southeastern China. | WU Jinkui DING Yongjian YE Baisheng YANG Qiyue HOU Dianjiong XUE Liyang | 2012 | Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,5: | 9 |
| 4 | High-Q resonances governed by the quasi-bound states in the continuum in all-dielectric metasurfaces显示文摘The realization of high-Q resonances in a silicon metasurface with various broken-symmetry blocks is reported. Theoretical analysis reveals that the sharp resonances in the metasurfaces originate from symmetry-protected bound in the continuum(BIC) and the magnetic dipole dominates these peculiar states. A smaller size of the defect in the broken-symmetry block gives rise to the resonance with a larger Q factor. Importantly, this relationship can be tuned by changing the structural parameter, resulting from the modulation of the topological configuration of BICs. Consequently, a Q factor of more than 3,000 can be easily achieved by optimizing dimensions of the nanostructure. At this sharp resonance, the intensity of the third harmonic generation signal in the patterned structure can be 368 times larger than that of the flat silicon film. | 5 | Effects of protein sources for milk replacers on growth performance and serum biochemical indexes of suckling calves显示文摘This study investigated the effects of protein sources for milk replacers on growth performance and serum biochemical indexes of suckling calves. Fifty Chinese Holstein bull calves with similar BW and age were randomly allocated to 5 groups(1 control and 4 treatments) of 10 calves in each group. Five types of milk replacers were designed to have the same level of energy and protein. The protein source for milk replacers of the control group was full milk protein(MP). The protein source of milk replacers of the 4 treatment groups was composed of MP and one vegetable protein(VP)(30 and 70% of total protein). The4 types of VP were soybean protein concentrate(SP), hydrolyzed wheat protein(WP), peanut protein concentrate(PP), and rice protein isolate(RP). Results of the experiment showed: 1) there was no significant difference on average daily gain(ADG) and feed:gain ratio(F:G) among the MP, SP and RP groups(P > 0.05), whereas the ADG and F:G of the WP and PP groups were significantly lower compared with the MP group(P < 0.05); 2) there was not a significant difference in withers height, body length and heart girth among treatment groups compared with the MP group(P > 0.05). Thereby the 4 VP milk replacers had no adverse effects on body size of calves; 3) all groups showed no significant difference in the serum contents of urea nitrogen, total protein, albumin, globulin, β-hydroxybutyrate, growth hormone, insulin-like growth factor-1, and the ratio of albumin to globulin(A:G)(P> 0.05). | 6 | Controlled-release neurotensin-loaded silk fibroin dressings improve wound healing in diabetic rat model显示文摘Diabetic foot ulcers(DFU),which may lead to lower extremity amputation,is one of the severe and chronic complications of diabetic mellitus.This study aims to develop,and use dressings based on Silk fibroin(SF)as the scaffold material,gelatin microspheres(GMs)as the carrier for the neurotensin(NT),a neuropeptide that acts as an inflammatory modulator in wound healing and NT as accelerate wound healing drug to treat DFU.We evaluated the wound healing processes and neo-tissue formation in rat diabetic model by macroscopic observation,histological observation(H&E staining and Masson's trichrome staining)and immunofluorescence analysis at 3,7,14,21 and 28 post-operation days.Our results show that the NT/GMs/SF group performance the best not only in macroscopic healing and less scars in 28 post-operation days,but also in fibroblast accumulation in tissue granulation,collagen expression and deposition at the wound site.From release profiles,we can know the GMs are a good carrier for control release drugs.The SEM results shows that the NT/GMs/SF dressings have an average pore size are 40–80μm and a porosity of∼85%,this pore size is suit for wound healing regeneration.These results suggest that the NT/GMs/SF dressings may work as an effective support for control release NT to promote DFU wound healing. | Jianghui Liu Liwei Yan Wei Yang Yong Lan Qiyu Zhu ongjie Xu Canbin Zheng Rui Guo | 2019 | Bioactive Materials2019,4,1: | 5 |
| 7 | Important progress on the use of isotope techniques and methods in catchment hydrology显示文摘The use of isotope techniques and methods in catchment hydrology in the last 50 years has generated two major types of progress: (1) Assessment of the temporal variations of the major stocks and flows of water in catchments, from which the estimation of wa-ter residence times is introduced in this paper. (2) Assessment of catchment hydrologic processes, in which the interactions be-tween different waters, hydrographical separation, and bio-geochemical process are described by using isotopes tracers. Future progress on isotope techniques and methods in hydrology is toward the understanding of the hydrological process in large river basins. | 10 | Effect of the hyaluronic acid-poloxamer hydrogel on skin-wound healing: in vitro and in vivo studies显示文摘Background: Recent research into skin injury and wound healing has focused mainly on post‐trauma hemostasis, infection prevention, dermal regeneration and angiogenesis. However, less attention has been paid to air permeability and moisture loss prevention which also play important roles in injury healing. Methods: In the present work, we prepared a hyaluronic acid‐poloxamer (HA‐POL) hydrogel and tested the therapeutic effect of the hydrogel on skin‐wound healing. Results: The HA‐POL hydrogel transformed from sol to gel at 30°C, close to body temperature, and had stable moisturizing properties. HA‐POL hydrogel promoted skin‐wound healing and increased protein accumulation in the wound area. HA‐POL hydrogel allowed greater air permeability than Band‐aid, a typical wound covering. Results from transwell assays showed that the HA‐POL hydrogel effectively isolated skin‐wounds from bacterial invasion. | 12 | Growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and slaughter traits of male fattening lambs under different feeding standards显示文摘This study compared the growth performance, nutrient utilization, and slaughter traits of Dorper crossbred male lambs fed as per the established nutrition recommendations for sheep, with an aim to verify the efficacy of different feeding standards. A total of 576 lambs(4 months of age, 28.3 ± 0.86 kg BW) were randomly allotted to 3 treatments with 12 replicates per treatment(16 lambs per replicate).The lambs were fed diets formulated according to the following 3 nutritional systems: the nutrient requirements of Dorper crossbred lambs established by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences(CAAS),NRC(National Research Council),(2007), and AFRC(Agricultural and Food Research Council)(1993). The experiment lasted for 81 d. Feed intake was recorded every 3 days, and lambs were weighed every 20 days. Digestibility trials were conducted with 6 lambs each group from d 42 to 53 and d 70 to 81. At the end of the experiment, 10 lambs randomly chosen from each group were sacrificed to determine the carcass traits and meat quality. The results indicated that the lambs in the NRC group had the highest dry matter intake(DMI), followed by those in the AFRC and CAAS groups(P < 0.05). The average daily gain,carcass weight, and dressing percentage were higher for lambs in the CAAS group than those in the NRC group(P < 0.05). The lambs in the CAAS group had the lowest feed conversion ratio, followed by those in the AFRC and NRC groups(P < 0.05). The apparent digestibility of DM was higher for the lambs in the CAAS group than those in the NRC group(P < 0.05). Water losing rate, as well as the lightness(L*),redness(a*), and yellowness(b*) values of the longissimus thoracis were not different among groups(P > 0.05). | 14 | Quantitative examination of the inhibitory activation of molecular targeting agents in hepatocellular carcinoma patient-derived cell invasion via a novel in vivo tumor model显示文摘Background: The outcomes for patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) receiving sorafenib are far from satisfactory because of treatment resistance to sorafenib. However, the exact mechanism of resistance to sorafenib remains unclear and it is valuable to establish a novel mouse model to quantitatively analyze the inhibition rates of sorafenib on the invasive growth of HCC cells in the liver.Methods: HCC tissue microblocks derived from patients were cultured and mixed with hydrogel drops. Then, hydrogel drops containing microblocks of HCC tissue were attached onto the surface of the livers of nude mice to form lesions or nodules of HCC. The mice received molecular targeting agents through oral administration. Livers with tumor nodules were harvested for H&E staining(hematoxylin-eosin staining) analysis and H&E staining images were quantitatively analyzed using image J software. The invasive growth of HCC cells into the liver was calculated using the depth of the lesions compared with the total thickness of the liver.Results: Microblocks containing cells derived from HCC patients can form lesions in the liver of nude mice. | 18 | Mycorrhizal Networks Interacting with Litter Improves Nutrients and Growth for One Plant through the Vary of N/P Ratio under Karst Soil显示文摘Arbuscular mycorrhizae(AM)fungi affect nutrient uptake for host plants,while it is unclear how AM fungi interacting with soil litter affect plant growth and nutrient utilization through mycorrhizal networks in karst soil of deficient nutrients beyond the rhizosphere.An experiment was conducted in a microcosm composed of a planting compartment for Cinnamomum camphora seedlings with or without Glomus mosseae fungus(M+vs.M−)and an adjacent litter compartment containing or not containing additional litter material of Arthraxon hispidus(L+vs.L−),where the compartments are connected either by nylon mesh of 20μm or 0.45μm which either allow available mycorrhizal networks within the litter compartment or prevent mycelium entering into the litter compartment(N+vs.N−).Plant biomass and nutrients were measured.The results showed that the addition of litter changed the symbiotic process in mycorrhizal colonization,spore,and hyphal density,which when in association with the host plant then affected the biomass,and accumulations of N(nitrogen)and P(phosphorus)in the individual plant as well as root,stem,and leaf respectively.AM fungi increased N and P accumulations and N/P ratio in individual plants and plant tissues.A decrease of the N/P ratio of the individual plant was observed when AM fungus interacted significantly with litter through mycorrhizal networks in the litter compartment.The results indicate that the C.camphora seedlings benefited from litter in nutrient utilization of N and P through the vary of N/P ratio when accessing mycorrhizal networks.These findings suggest that mycorrhizal networks interacting with litter improve growth and nutrients of N and P for plants through the vary of N/P ratio in order to alleviate nutrient limitation under karst soil. | Liling Kang Yuejun He Lipeng Zang Jianpeng Si Ying Yang Kaiping Shen Tingting Xia Qiyu Tan Bangli Wu Yun Guo Wei Wang Qin Liang | 2021 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,3: | 0 |

| 20 | Three-dimensional porous In_(2)O_(3) arrays for self-powered transparent solar-blind photodetectors with high responsivity and excellent spectral selectivity显示文摘Transparent solar-blind ultraviolet photodetectors(SBUV PDs)have extensive applications in versatile scenarios,such as optical communication.However,it is still challenging to simultaneously achieve high responsivity,high transparency,and satisfying self-powered capability.Here,we demonstrated high-performance,transparent,and self-powered photoelectrochemical-type(PEC)SBUV PDs based on vertically grown ultrathin In_(2)O_(3) nanosheet arrays(NAs)with a three-dimensional(3D)porous structure.The 3D porous structure simultaneously improves the transmittance in the visible light region,accelerates interfacial reaction kinetics,and promotes photogenerated carrier transport.The performance of In_(2)O_(3) NAs photoanodes exceeds most reported self-powered PEC SBUV PDs,exhibiting a high transmittance of approximately 80%in the visible light region,a high responsivity of 86.15 mA/W for 254 nm light irradiation,a fast response speed of 15/18 ms,and good multicycle stability.The In_(2)O_(3) NAs also show excellent spectral selectivity with an ultrahigh solar-blind rejection ratio of 1319.30,attributed to the quantum confinement effect induced by the ultrathin feature(2-3 nm).Furthermore,In_(2)O_(3) NAs photoanodes show good capability in underwater optical communication.Our work demonstrated that a 3D porous structure is a powerful strategy to synchronously achieve high responsivity and transparency and provides a new perspective for designing high-performance,transparent,and self-powered PEC SBUV PDs. | Nana Zhang Xinyu Gao Haoran Guan Simin Sun Jiaming Liu Zhitao Shao Qiyue Gao Yuan Zhang Ruyu Sun Guang Yang Feng Gao Wei Feng | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,5: | 0 |
