| 1 | 42,573 cases of hepatectomy in China: a multicenter retrospective investigation显示文摘Hepatectomy is currently routinely performed in most hospitals in China. China owns the largest population of liver diseases and the biggest number of liver resection cases. A nationwide multicenter retrospective investigation involving 112 hospitals was performed, and focused on liver resection for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). 42,573 cases of hepatectomy were enrolled, and 18,275 valid cases of liver resection for HCC patients were selected for statistical analysis. The epidemiology of HCC, distribution of hepatectomy, postoperative complications and prognosis were finally analyzed. In the 18,275 HCC patients,81% had hepatitis B virus infection and 10% had hepatitis C virus infection. 38% of the HCC patients had normal Alphafetoprotein(AFP) level, and other 35% had an AFP level lower than 400 ng mL^(-1). In the study period, 97% of the hepatectomy for HCC were treated with open surgery, and 23.81% had vascular exclusion techniques. The operation time was(191.7±105.6) min,the blood loss was(546.0±562.8) m L, and blood transfusion was(543.0±1,035.2) m L. The median survival for HCC patients was 631 days, with 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival of 73.2%, 28.8% and 19.6%, respectively. | 8 | Convergence analysis of the formal energies of symplectic methods for Hamiltonian systems显示文摘Based on Feng's theory of formal vector fields and formal flows, we study the convergence problem of the formal energies of symplectic methods for Hamiltonian systems and give the clear growth of the coefficients in the formal energies. With the help of B-series and Bernoulli functions, we prove that in the formal energy of the mid-point rule, the coefficient sequence of the merging products of an arbitrarily given rooted tree and the bushy trees of height 1(whose subtrees are vertices), approaches 0 as the number of branches goes to ∞; in the opposite direction, the coefficient sequence of the bushy trees of height m(m ≥ 2), whose subtrees are all tall trees, approaches ∞ at large speed as the number of branches goes to +∞. The conclusion extends successfully to the modified differential equations of other Runge-Kutta methods. | 9 | Incorporating topographic factors in nonlinear mixed-effects models for aboveground biomass of natural Simao pine in Yunnan,China显示文摘A total of 128 Simao pine trees(Pinus kesiya var. langbianensis) from three regions of Pu'er City,Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China, were destructively sampled to obtain tree aboveground biomass(AGB). Tree variables such as diameter at breast height and total height, and topographical factors such as altitude,aspect of slope, and degree of slope were recorded. We considered the region and site quality classes as the random-effects, and the topographic variables as the fixedeffects. We fitted a total of eight models as follows: leastsquares nonlinear models(BM), least-squares nonlinear models with the topographic factors(BMT), nonlinear mixed-effects models with region as single random-effects(NLME-RE), nonlinear mixed-effects models with site as single random-effects(NLME-SE), nonlinear mixed-effects models with the two-level nested region and site random-effects(TLNLME), NLME-RE with the fixed-effects of topographic factors(NLMET-RE), NLME-SE with the fixed-effects of topographic factors(NLMET-SE), and TLNLME with the fixed-effects of topographic factors(TLNLMET). The eight models were compared by modelfitting and prediction statistics. The results showed: model fitting was improved by considering random-effects of region or site, or both. The models with the fixed-effects of topographic factors had better model fitting. According to AIC and BIC, the model fitting was ranked as TLNLME[ NLMET-RE [ NLME-RE [ NLMET-SE [ TLNLMET[ NLME-SE [ BMT [ BM. The differences among these models for model prediction were small. The model prediction was ranked as TLNLME [ NLME-RE [ NLMES E [ N L M E T- R E [ N L M E T- S E [ T L N L M E T [BMT [ BM. However, all eight models had relatively high prediction precision([90 %). | 20 | In-situ TiC_P/Al Composites Prepared by TE/QP Method显示文摘An in-situ TiCP/Al composite was prepared by a thermal explosion/quick pressure method (TE/QP). The effect of Al content on the reaction temperature as well as the reaction rate has been studied. Phase constituents and the microstructure of the composites and the particle size of the reinforcement were analysed using X-ray diffraction (XRD)and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results have shown that TiCP/Al composite with 40~70 vol. pct TiC particle reinforcement and high relative density can be directly obtained by TE/QP. TiC is the only reaction product when Al content in Al-Ti-C system is no more than 60 vol. pct, but Al3Ti phase will also form when Al content is more than 60 vol. pct. Increasing Al content prolongs the initial reaction time, reduces the highest reaction temperature and the reaction rate, and decreases the size of TiC particles. In addition, the microstructure of TiCP/Al composite and the structure of interface between TiCP and Al are studied using SEM and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that the in-situ synthesized TiC particle has fcc cubic structure. The orientation between TiC particles and Al matrix can be described as (220)Al∥(022)TiC and [112]Al∥[011]TiC. Results of the mechanical property tests reveal that the ultimate strength (σ) and modulus (E) are 687 MPa and 142 GPa respectively when the Al content is 40 vol. pct.
