| 1 | Genetic and biological characteristics of the globally circulating H5N8 avian influenza viruses and the protective efficacy offered by the poultry vaccine currently used in China显示文摘The H5N8 avian influenza viruses have been widely circulating in wild birds and are responsible for the loss of over 33 million domestic poultry in Europe, Russia, Middle East, and Asia since January 2020. To monitor the invasion and spread of the H5N8 virus in China, we performed active surveillance by analyzing 317 wild bird samples and swab samples collected from 41,172 poultry all over the country. We isolated 22 H5N8 viruses from wild birds and 14 H5N8 viruses from waterfowls. Genetic analysis indicated that the 36 viruses formed two different genotypes: one genotype viruses were widely detected from different wild birds and domestic waterfowls;the other genotype was isolated from a whopper swan. We further revealed the origin and spatiotemporal spread of these two distinct H5N8 virus genotypes in 2020 and 2021. Animal studies indicated that the H5N8 isolates are highly pathogenic to chickens, mildly pathogenic in ducks, but have distinct pathotypes in mice. Moreover, we found that vaccinated poultry in China could be completely protected against H5N8 virus challenge. | 2 | Distribution and drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria isolated from cancer hospital in 2013显示文摘Objective: To understand distribution and drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria from a specialized cancer hospital in 2013 in order to provide a basis for rational clinical antimicrobial agents. Methods: Pathogenic bacteria identification and drug sensitivity tests were performed with a VITEK 2 compact automatic identification system and data were analyzed using WHONET5.6 software.Results: Of the 1,378 strains tested, 980 were Gram-negative bacilli, accounting for 71.1%, in which Klebsiella pneumonia, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were the dominant strains. We found 328 Gram-positive coccus, accounting for 23.8%, in which the amount of Staphylococcus aureus was the highest. We identified 46 fungi, accounting for 4.1%. According to the departmental distribution within the hospital, the surgical departments isolated the major strains, accounting for 49.7%. According to disease types, lung cancer, intestinal cancer and esophagus cancer were the top three, accounting for 20.9%, 17.3% and 14.2%, respectively. | 3 | Recent Changes in Precipitation Extremes in the Heihe River Basin,Northwest China显示文摘Changes in rainfall extremes pose a serious and additional threat to water resources planning and management,natural and artificial oasis stability,and sustainable development in the fragile ecosystems of arid inland river basins. In this study,the trend and temporal variation of extreme precipitation are analyzed using daily precipitation datasets at 11 stations over the arid inland Heihe River basin in Northwest China from 1960 to 2011. Eight indices of extreme precipitation are studied.The results show statistically significant and large-magnitude increasing and decreasing trends for most indices,primarily in the Qilian Mountains and eastern Hexi Corridor. More frequent and intense rainfall extremes have occurred in the southern part of the desert area than in the northern portion. In general,the temporal variation in precipitation extremes has changed throughout the basin. Wet day precipitation and heavy precipitation days show statistically significant linear increasing trends and step changes in the Qilian Mountains and Hexi Corridor. Consecutive dry days have decreased obviously in the region in most years after approximately the late 1980 s,but meanwhile very long dry spells have increased,especially in the Hexi Corridor. The probability density function indicates that very long wet spells have increased in the Qilian Mountains. The East Asian summer monsoon index and western Pacific subtropical high intensity index possess strong and significant negative and positive correlations with rainfall extremes,respectively. | 4 | Molecular cloning and expression patterns of the cholesterol side chain cleavage enzyme(CYP11A1) gene during the reproductive cycle in goose(Anas cygnoides)显示文摘Background: CYP11A1, a gene belonging to the family 11 of cytochrome P450, encodes a crucial steroidogenic enzyme that catalyzes the initial step in the production of all classes of steroids. Many studies show that CYP11A1 plays a role in ovary function. However, the role of CYP11A1 in goose reproductive cycle remains largely unknown.Results: In this study, full-length CYP11A1 c DNA of Zhedong goose was obtained using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) and rapid amplification of c DNA ends(RACE). The c DNA consisted of a 96-base pair(bp) 5′untranslated region(UTR), a 179-bp 3′UTR and a 1509-bp open reading frame. The open reading frame encodes a putative 503 amino acid protein that shares high homology with CYP11A1 of other birds. The amino acid sequence possesses conserved domains of the P450 superfamily, which include the steroid-binding domain and the heme-binding region. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(q PCR) analysis revealed CYP11A1 mR NA was expressed ubiquitously in every Zhedong goose tissue analyzed, including the heart, liver, glandular stomach,lung, spleen, kidney, intestinum tenue, intestinum crassum, cerebrum, cerebellum, muscle, oviduct, pituitary,hypothalamus and ovary.. The relatively low levels of CYP11A1 m RNA were detected in pituitary, ovary and oviduct tissues at ovulation when compared with levels at oviposition. Interestingly, higher expression was observed in ovary and oviduct tissues during brooding. | 7 | Gas accumulation conditions and key technologies for exploration & development of Sinian and Cambrian gas reservoirs in Anyue gasfield显示文摘Exploration of the Sinian-Lower Paleozoic formations in the Sichuan Basin starts from the 1950s,and is tortuous and complex.To summarize the exploration experiences is of great significance of reference for exploration of oil and gas in deep carbonate rocks of the Sichuan Basin.Gas accumulation in the Anyue oversize gasfield is chiefly controlled by the Deyang-Anyue intra-platform rift and central Sichuan paleouplift.The intra-platform rift controls the scale hydrocarbon generation center and effective hydrocarbon plays.The Anyue gasfield is characterized by near-source hydrocarbon accumulation.The marginal zone of intra-platform rift and high part of the paleouplift control the scale distribution of favorable facies belts of reservoir development,and overlapped by paleokarstic reformation,the reservoirs are widely distributed.The intra-platform rift and paleouplift jointly control formation of the scale traps and hydrocarbon enrichment.Gas reservoir features and major controlling factors for hydrocarbon accumulation have some differences in the main play strata,such as Longwangmiao Formation,and Member 4 and Member 2 of Dengying Formation.The gas reservoir in the Longwangmiao Formation is a lithologic gas reservoir under the tectonic setting,and the inherited paleouplift is a key for reservoir formation and hydrocarbon accumulation.The gas reservoir in the Member 4 of Dengying Formation is mainly controlled by large structural-stratigraphic composite traps,and the gas reservoir in the Member 2 of Dengying Formation is the structural trap.Distribution of the large gasfields in the Dengying Formation is controlled by the intra-platform rift,near-source hydrocarbon-reservoir configuration controlled by the ancient erosion plane and stratigraphic sealing in the updip direction.For exploration and development of the Anyue gasfield,four series of technologies are developed,namely,reservoir seismic fine description technology,well logging fine evaluation technology of gas layers,fast drilling technology of complex strata,and stimulation technology for high temperature and high pressure gas layers.Technical progresses provide powerful guarantee for efficient exploration and development of the oversize gasfields. | Yueming Yang Yu Yang Guang Yang Jiarong Song LongWen Chuanguang Deng Maolong Xia Qi Ran Guobin Duan Bing Luo Bing Xie | 2018 | Petroleum Research2018,3,3: | 1 |

| 9 | Quantitative research on higher order harmonics in metrology beamline显示文摘The synchrotron radiation spectra of the spherical grating monochromator(SGM)working in the soft X-ray and VUV region are often contaminated by significant amounts of higher order harmonics.They cannot be suppressed completely by suitable filters.Higher order contributions in the spectral radiation standard and metrology beamline were researched using transmission grating(made in-house)and IRD AXUV100G(USA)photodiode detector.The exit beam was dispersed with the transmission grating behind the exit slit of the monochromator,and the contributions of the different orders were analyzed.The higher order distributions were quantitatively determined for three gratings with line densities of 1800,600 and 200 l/mm.Experiment results show that in wavelengths between 5 nm and 15 nm the contributions of the higher orders to the detector signal are restricted to less than 7%even without the use of filters.In wavelength regions between 5 nm and 34 nm,the contributions of the higher orders to the detector signal are less than 14%with proper Al,Si_(3)N_(4) and Zr filters,and after being modified by quantum efficiency of the detector,the higher order contributions are restricted to less than 6.5%.The study also shows that higher orders are almost totally suppressed by MgF_(2) filter when the wavelength ranges between 115–140 nm. | Hongjun ZHOU Jinjin ZHENG Tonglin HUO Guobin ZHANG Zeming QI Pengfei ZHONG | 2008 | Frontiers of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in China2008,3,1: | 0 |
