| 1 | Toward Intelligent Machine Tool显示文摘With the development of modern information technology-and particularly of the new generation of artificial intelligence(AI)technology-new opportunities are available for the development of the intelligent machine tool(IMT).Based on the three classical paradigms of intelligent manufacturing as defined by the Chinese Academy of Engineering,the concept,characteristics,and systemic structure of the IMT are presented in this paper.Three stages of machine tool evolution-from the manually operated machine tool(MOMT)to the IMT-are discussed,including the numerical control machine tool(NCMT),the smart machine tool(SMT),and the IMT.Furthermore,the four intelligent control principles of the IMT-namely,autonomous sensing and connection,autonomous learning and modeling,autonomous optimization and decision-making,and autonomous control and execution-are presented in detail.This paper then points out that the essential characteristic of the IMT is to acquire and accumulate knowledge through learning,and presents original key enabling technologies,including the instruction-domain-based analytical approach,theoretical and big-data-based hybrid modeling technology,and the double-code control method.Based on this research,an intelligent numerical control(INC)system and industrial prototypes of IMTs are developed.Three intelligent practices are conducted,demonstrating that the integration of the new generation of AI technology with advanced manufacturing technology is a feasible and convenient way to advance machine tools toward the IMT. | Jihong Chen Pengcheng Hu Huicheng Zhou Jianzhong Yang Jiejun Xie Yakun Jiang Zhiqiang Gao Chenglei Zhang | 2019 | Engineering2019,5,4: | 12 |

| 3 | Identification of a senescence-related protease in coriander leaves显示文摘Senescence-related protease may play an important role in leaf senescence. By improved SDS-Gela-tin-PAGE assay, a 63 ku senescence-related protease (63 SRP) in coriander leaves was identified. Activity of 63 SRP was increased in parallel to the advance of coriander leaf senescence, and inhibited by treating the leaf with gibberellic acid, and enhanced by ethylene treatment. The 63 SRP was suggested to be a serine protease based on the fact that its activity was inhibited by the protease inhibitor PMSF. The optimal temperature for the activity of the 70 ku protease was 50°C. The maximal activity was observed at pH 6-9, some activity could be observed on the gel slices incubated at pH 5 or 11. | 5 | Platelet-rich plasma accelerates skin wound healing by promoting re-epithelialization显示文摘Background:Autologous platelet-rich plasma(PRP)has been suggested to be effective for wound healing.However,evidence for its use in patients with acute and chronic wounds remains insufficient.The aims of this study were to comprehensively examine the effectiveness,synergy and possible mechanism of PRP-mediated improvement of acute skin wound repair.Methods:Full-thickness wounds were made on the back of C57/BL6 mice.PRP or saline solution as a control was administered to the wound area.Wound healing rate,local inflammation,angiogenesis,re-epithelialization and collagen deposition were measured at days 3,5,7 and 14 after skin injury.The biological character of epidermal stem cells(ESCs),which reflect the potential for re-epithelialization,was further evaluated in vitro and in vivo.Results:PRP strongly improved skin wound healing,which was associated with regulation of local inflammation,enhancement of angiogenesis and re-epithelialization.PRP treatment significantly reduced the production of inflammatory cytokines interleukin-17A and interleukin-1β.An increase in the local vessel intensity and enhancement of re-epithelialization were also observed in animals with PRP administration and were associated with enhanced secretion of growth factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor and insulin-like growth factor-1.Moreover,PRP treatment ameliorated the survival and activated the migration and proliferation of primary cultured ESCs,and these effects were accompanied by the differentiation of ESCs into adult cells following the changes of CD49f and keratin 10 and keratin 14.Conclusion:PRP improved skin wound healing by modulating inflammation and increasing angiogenesis and re-epithelialization.However,the underlying regulatory mechanism needs to be investigated in the future.Our data provide a preliminary theoretical foundation for the clinical administration of PRP in wound healing and skin regeneration. | Pengcheng Xu Yaguang Wu Lina Zhou Zengjun Yang Xiaorong Zhang Xiaohong Hu Jiacai Yang Mingying Wang Binjie Wang Gaoxing Luo Weifeng He Biao Cheng | 2020 | Burns & Trauma2020,8,1: | 8 |
| 6 | Oxymatrine reduces neuroinflammation in rat brain A signaling pathway显示文摘Cerebral neuroinflammation models were established by injecting 10 μg lipopolysaccharide into the hippocampus of male Sprague-Dawley rats. The rats were treated with an intraperitoneal injection of 120, 90, or 60 mg/kg oxymatrine daily for three days prior to the lipopolysaccharide injection. Twenty-four hours after model induction, the hippocampus was analyzed by real-time quantitative PCR, and the cerebral cortex was analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and western blot assay. The results of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and the real-time quantitative PCR showed that the secretion and mRNA expression of the pro-inflammatory cytokines interleukin-1β and tumor necrosis factor-α were significantly decreased in the hippocampus and cerebral cortex of model rats treated with oxymatrine. Western blot assay and real-time quantitative PCR analysis indicated that toll-like receptor 4 mRNA and protein expression were significantly decreased in the groups receiving different doses of oxymatrine. Additionally, 120 and 90 mg/kg oxymatrine were shown to reduce protein levels of nuclear factor-κB p65 in the nucleus and of phosphorylated IκBα in the cytoplasm of brain cells, as detected by western blot assay. | 7 | Genome-wide variants of Eurasian facial shape differentiation and a prospective model of DNA based face prediction显示文摘It is a long-standing question as to which genes define the characteristic facial features among different ethnic groups. In this study, we use Uyghurs, an ancient admixed population to query the genetic bases why Europeans and Han Chinese look different. Facial traits were analyzed based on high-dense 3D facial images; numerous biometric spaces were examined for divergent facial features between European and Han Chinese, ranging from inter-landmark distances to dense shape geometrics. Genome-wide association studies(GWAS) were conducted on a discovery panel of Uyghurs. Six significant loci were identified, four of which, rs1868752, rs118078182, rs60159418 at or near UBASH3B, COL23A1, PCDH7 and rs17868256 were replicated in independent cohorts of Uyghurs or Southern Han Chinese. | 9 | Meso-Cenozoic Evolution of Earth Surface System under the East Asian Tectonic Superconvergence显示文摘The East Asian geological setting has a long duration related to the superconvergence of the Paleo-Asian, Tethyan and Paleo-Pacific tectonic domains. The Triassic Indosinian Movement contributed to an unified passive continental margin in East Asia. The later ophiolites and I-type granites associated with subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate in the Late Triassic, suggest a transition from passive to active continental margins. With the presence of the ongoing westward migration of the Paleo-Pacific Subduction Zone, the sinistral transpressional stress field could play an important role in the intraplate deformation in East Asia during the Late Triassic to Middle Jurassic, being characterized by the transition from the E-W-trending structural system controlled by the Tethys and Paleo-Asian oceans to the NE-trending structural system caused by the Paleo-Pacific Ocean subduction. The continuously westward migration of the subduction zones resulted in the transpressional stress field in East Asia marked by the emergence of the Eastern North China Plateau and the formation of the Andean-type active continental margin from late Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous(160-135 Ma), accompanied by the development of a small amount of adakites. In the Late Cretaceous(135-90 Ma), due to the eastward retreat of the Paleo-Pacific Subduction Zone, the regional stress field was replaced from sinistral transpression to transtension. Since a large amount of late-stage adakites and metamorphic core complexes developed, the Andean-type active continental margin was destroyed and the Eastern North China Plateau started to collapse. In the Late Cretaceous, the extension in East Asia gradually decreased the eastward retreat of the Paleo-Pacific subduction zones. Futhermore, a significant topographic inversion had taken place during the Cenozoic that resulted from a rapid uplift of the Tibet Plateau resulting from the India-Eurasian collision and the formation of the Bohai Bay Basin and other basins in the East Asian continental margin. The inversion caused a remarkable eastward migration of deformation, basin formation and magmatism. Meanwhile, the basins that mainly developed in the Paleogene resulted in a three-step topography which typically appears to drop eastward in altitude. In the Neogene, the basins underwent a rapid subsidence in some depressions after basin-controlled faulting, as well as the intracontinental extensional events in East Asia, and are likely to be a contribution to the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau. | DMITRIENKO Liudmila V. | 12 | Effects of climate,land use and land cover changes on soil loss in the Three Gorges Reservoir area,China显示文摘Climate,land use and land cover(LULC)changes are among the primary driving forces of soil loss.Decoupling their effects can help in understanding the magnitude and trend of soil loss in response to human activities and ecosystem management.Here,the RUSLE model was applied to estimate the spatial-temporal variations of soil loss rate in the Three Gorges Reservoir(TGR)area during 2001-2015,followed by a scenario design to decouple the effects of climate and LULC changes.The results showed that increasing rainfall generated as much as 2.90×10^(7)t soil loss in the TGR area.However,such effect was offset by changes in LULC particularly afforestation,which retained about 1.10×10^(7)t soil annually.Other human activities such as dam development and urbanization aggravated soil loss by as much as 1.40×10^(6)t annually.Because of land use policies that favor economic development,distinct spatial variances of soil loss were observed in TGR area.Soil loss in some counties located downstream of the TGR area(i.e.,close to the dam)was more influenced by dam development,but soil loss in the other counties was more influenced by urbanization.As climate change(i.e.,increasing rainfall)did not affect plant performance in TGR area,our findings suggested that ecological restoration was more beneficial to curb the amount of soil loss caused by urbanization and dam construction. | Chunbo Huang Zhixiang Zhou Mingjun Teng Changguang Wu Pengcheng Wang | 2020 | Geography and Sustainability2020,1,3: | 3 |
| 13 | Task-Aware Flow Scheduling with Heterogeneous Utility Characteristics for Data Center Networks显示文摘With the continuous enrichment of cloud services, an increasing number of applications are being deployed in data centers. These emerging applications are often communication-intensive and data-parallel, and their performance is closely related to the underlying network. With their distributed nature, the applications consist of tasks that involve a collection of parallel flows. Traditional techniques to optimize flow-level metrics are agnostic to task-level requirements, leading to poor application-level performance. In this paper, we address the heterogeneous task-level requirements of applications and propose task-aware flow scheduling. First, we model tasks' sensitivity to their completion time by utilities. Second, on the basis of Nash bargaining theory, we establish a flow scheduling model with heterogeneous utility characteristics, and analyze it using Lagrange multiplier method and KKT condition. Third, we propose two utility-aware bandwidth allocation algorithms with different practical constraints. Finally, we present Tasch, a system that enables tasks to maintain high utilities and guarantees the fairness of utilities. To demonstrate the feasibility of our system, we conduct comprehensive evaluations with realworld traffic trace. Therefore,investigation of effects of spherical aggregates addition on properties of refractories becomes very meaningful. Using A70 mullite traditional aggregates and A70 mullite spherical aggregates, bauxite homogenization powder,microsilica,and calcium aluminate cement as raw materials,different Al_2O_3-SiO_2system low cement castables were prepared by replacing conventional aggregates with spherical aggregates. The effect of spherical aggregates addition on workability and mechanical properties of castables after heated at different temperatures was researched,and microstructure of the specimen was analyzed by SEM. Compared with traditional irregularly shaped aggregates,spherical aggregates endow castables with better flowability and easy pump ability. By introduction of spherical aggregates into the castables,flowability and pumpability are significantly improved,and water addition and ball completely sunk time are reduced. The introduction of spherical aggregates is favorable to density and cold crushing strength of castables,but unfavorable to CMOR. The effect of spherical aggregates addition on HMOR at1 400 ℃ can be negligible. SPV is the dot product of vorticity and the potential vorticity(PV) gradient, and is proven conservative for a compressible, adiabatic and frictionless atmosphere. Research shows that the new invariant may be used to indicate the evolution of PV, because SPV includes all the information that determines PV evolution: the wind field, and the PV gradient. Furthermore, SPV is capable of diagnosing heavy precipitation because of the strong signals it presents in areas of heavy rainfall.
