1Optimized Bio-inspired Micro-pillar Dry Adhesive and Its Application for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Adhering on and Detaching from a Ceiling显示文摘Various bio-inspired dry adhesive materials have been investigated.In this work,lithography and silicon deep etching method were used to fabricate bio-inspired micro-pillar dry adhesive materials of which the parameters,such as side length,Height to Side length Aspect Ratio(HSAR),and inter-pillar Distance to Side length Aspect Ratio(DSAR)were comprehensively studied to obtain a dry adhesive with high adhesion.An orthogonal array method was designed and a series of fabrication experiments were conducted to identify optimum parameters,which resulted in a high normal adhesion of 2.98 N·cm^-2 and a shear adhesion of 9.59 N·cm^-2.An adhesion and desorption device was further designed on basis of the optimum dry adhesive,which enables an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)to successfully adhere on and detach from a ceiling.This would allow an UAV to stay aloft for prolonged time,which could be invaluable to many applications,such as energy conservation and aerial detection.Qingsong He Xianrui Xu Zhiwei Yu Kai Huo Zhaoyang Wang Nuo Chen Xuean Sun Gui Yin Peile Du Yang Li Zhendong Dai 2020Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,1:2

9Immune‑Ageing Evaluation of Peripheral T and NK Lymphocyte Subsets in Chinese Healthy Adults显示文摘Ageing is often accompanied with a decline in immune system function,resulting in immune ageing.Numerous studies have focussed on the changes in different lymphocyte subsets in diseases and immunosenescence.The change in immune phenotype is a key indication of the diseased or healthy status.However,the changes in lymphocyte number and phenotype brought about by ageing have not been comprehensively analysed.Here,we analysed T and natural killer(NK)cell subsets,the phenotype and cell differentiation states in 43,096 healthy individuals,aged 20–88 years,without known diseases.Thirty-six immune parameters were analysed and the reference ranges of these subsets were established in different age groups divided into 5-year intervals.The data were subjected to random forest machine learning for immune-ageing modelling and confirmed using the neural network analysis.Our initial analysis and machine modelling prediction showed that na.ve T cells decreased with ageing,whereas central memory T cells(Tcm)and effector memory T cells(Tem)increased cluster of differentiation(CD)28-associated T cells.This is the largest study to investigate the correlation between age and immune cell function in a Chinese population,and provides insightful differences,suggesting that healthy adults might be considerably influenced by age and sex.The age of a person's immune system might be different from their chronological age.Our immune-ageing modelling study is one of the largest studies to provide insights into‘immune-age’rather than‘biological-age’.Through machine learning,we identified immune factors influencing the most through ageing and built a model for immune-ageing prediction.Our research not only reveals the impact of age on immune parameter differences within the Chinese population,but also provides new insights for monitoring and preventing some diseases in clinical practice.Zhenghu Jia Zhiyao Ren Dongmei Ye Jiawei Li Yan Xu Hui Liu Ziyu Meng Chengmao Yang Xiaqi Chen Xinru Mao Xueli Luo Zhe Yang Lina Ma Anyi Deng Yafang Li Bingyu Han Junping Wei Chongcheng Huang Zheng Xiang Guobing Chen Peiling Li Juan Ouyang Peisong Chen Oscar Junhong Luo Yifang Gao Zhinan Yin 2023Phenomics2023,3,4:1

13Financial market model based on self-organized percolation显示文摘Starting with the self-organized evolution of the trader group’s structure, a parsimonious percolation model for stock market is established, which can be considered as a kind of betterment of the Cont-Bouchaud model. The return distribution of the present model obeys Lévy form in the center and displays fat-tail property, in accord with the styl-ized facts observed in real-life financial time series. 14The chemical reprogramming of unipotent adult germ cells towards authentic pluripotency and de novo establishment of imprinting显示文摘Although somatic cells can be reprogrammed to pluripotent stem cells(PsCs)with pure chemicals,authentic pluripotency of chemically induced pluripotent stem celis(CipsCs)has never been achieved through tetraploid complementation assay.Spontaneous reprogramming of spermatogonial stem cells(ssCs)was another non-transgenic way to obtain PsCs,but this process lacks mechanistic explanation.Here,we reconstructed the trajectory of mouse SsC reprogramming and developed a five-chemical combination,boosting the reprogramming effciency by nearly 80-to 100-folds.More importantly,chemical induced germline-derived PsCs(5C-gPSCs),but not gpsCs and chemical induced pluripotent stem cells,had authentic pluripotency,as determined by tetraploid complementation.Mechanistically,ssCs traversed through an inverted pathway of in vivo germ ceil development,exhibiting the expression signatures and DNA methylation dynamics from spermatogonia to primordial germ cells and further to epiblasts.Besides,ssC-specific imprinting control regions switched from biallelic methylated states to monoallelic methylated states by imprinting demethylation and then re-methylation on one of the two alleles in 5c-gPsCs,which was apparently distinct with the imprinting reprogramming in vivo as DNA methylation simultaneously occurred on both alleles.Our work sheds ight on the unique regulatory network underpinning SsC reprogramming,providing insights to understand generic mechanisms for cell-fate decision and epigenetic-relateddisorders in regenerative medicine.Yuhan Chen Jiansen Lu Yanwen Xu Yaping Huang Dazhuang Wang Peiling Liang Shaofang Ren Xuesong Hu Yewen Qin Wei Ke Ralf Jauch Andrew Paul Hutchins Mei Wang Fuchou Tang Xiao-Yang Zhao 2023Protein & Cell2023,14,7:0

17Genome-Wide Identification and Expression Analysis of the Phytocyanin Gene Family in Nicotiana tabacum显示文摘Phytocyanin(PC)is a class of plant-specific blue copper proteins involved in electron transport,plant growth,development,and stress resistance.However,PC proteins have not been systematically evaluated in tobacco plants.We determined the whole-genome sequences of the PC family in the tobacco cultivar‘K326.’The transcriptome data were used to analyze the expression of the NtPC family at different development stages and tissue-specific genes.Real-time fluorescence quantitative analysis was used to analyze the expression of the NtPC gene family under low temperature and methyl jasmonate stress.The tobacco NtPC family contained 110 members and was divided into four subfamilies:early nodulin-like protein(NtENODL),uclacyanin-like protein,stellacyanin1-like protein,and plantacyanin-like protein.According to phylogenetic and structural analyses,the NtPC family could be divided into eight structural types.Fifty-three NtPCs were randomly distributed on 22 of 24 tobacco chromosomes.Collinearity analysis revealed 33 pairs of genes belonging to the NtPC family.Gene ontology analysis showed that the PC genes are components of the plasma membrane and may participate in plasma membrane-related functions.The NtPC family contained numerous elements related to hormonal and abiotic stress responses and was specifically expressed in the tobacco prosperous,maturation,and budding periods.Tissue-specific expression analysis showed that some genes were tissue specific.The expression of NtENODL58 and other genes was significantly induced by low-temperature and methyl jasmonate stress.Thus,the NtPC gene family plays an important role in plant stress response.Peiling Wang Xiaohong Xu Yong Li Hecui Zhang Xuejie Zhang Siru Zhou Yimei Liu Yunyan Feng Tonghong Zuo Liquan Zhu 2023Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,5:0
18Dispersion management for a 100 PW level laser using a mismatched-grating compressor显示文摘We report dispersion management based on a mismatched-grating compressor for a 100 PW level laser,which utilizes optical parametric chirped pulse amplification and also features large chirped pulse duration and an ultra-broadband spectrum.The numerical calculation indicates that amplified pulses with 4 ns chirped pulse duration and 210 nm spectral bandwidth can be directly compressed to sub-13 fs,which is close to the Fourier-transform limit(FTL).More importantly,the tolerances of the mismatched-grating compressor to the misalignment of the stretcher,the error of the desired grating groove density and the variation of material dispersion are comprehensively analyzed,which is crucially important for its practical application.The results demonstrate that good tolerances and near-FTL compressed pulses can be achieved simultaneously,just by keeping a balance between the residual second-,third-and fourth-order dispersions in the laser system.This work can offer a meaningful guideline for the design and construction of 100 PW level lasers.Fenxiang Wu Jiabing Hu Xingyan Liu Zongxin Zhang Peile Bai Xinliang Wang Yang Zhao Xiaojun Yang Yi Xu Cheng Wang Yuxin Leng Ruxin Li 2022High Power Laser Science and Engineering2022,10,6:0
