9Growth of 12-inch uniform monolayer graphene film on molten glass and its application in PbI2-based photodetector显示文摘Direct growth of large area uniform graphene on functional insulating materials is essential for engineering versatile applications of graphene. However, the existing synthesis approaches can hardly avoid the generation of non-uniform multilayer graphene along the gas flow direction, affording huge challenges for further scaling up. Herein, by exploiting the molten state of soda-lime glass, we have accomplished the direct growth of large area uniform (up to 30 cm × 6 cm) graphene via a facile chemical vapor deposition route on low cost soda-lime glass. The use of molten glass eliminates the chemically active sites (surface corrugations, scratches, defects), and improves the mobility of carbon precursors, affording uniform nucleation and growth of monolayer graphene. Intriguingly, thus-obtained graphene acts as an ideal coating layer for the surface crystallographic modification of soda-lime glass, making it epitaxy substrates for synthesizing high-quality PbI2 nanoplates and continues films. Accordingly, a prototype photodetector was fabricated to present excellent photoelectrical properties of high responsivity (~ 600 on/off current ratio) and fast response speed (18 μs). 18Thickness-dependent and strain-tunable magnetism in twodimensional van der Waals VSe_(2)显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)van der Waals(vdW)magnetic materials with reduced dimensionality often exhibit unexpected properties compared to their bulk counterparts.In particular,the mechanical flexibility of 2D structure,enhanced ferromagnetism at reduced layer thickness,as well as robust perpendicular magnetic anisotropy are quite appealing for constructing novel spintronic devices.The vdW vanadium diselenide(VSe_(2))is an attractive material whose bulk is paramagnetic while monolayer is ferromagnetic with a Curie temperature(Tc)above room temperature.To explore its possible device applications,a detailed investigation on the thickness-dependent magnetism and strain modulation behavior of VSe_(2)is highly demanded.In this article,the VSe_(2)nanoflakes were controllably prepared via chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method.The few-layer single VSe_(2)nanoflakes were found to exhibit magnetic domain structures at room temperature.Ambient magnetic force microscopy(MFM)phase images reveal a clear thickness-dependent magnetism and the MFM phase contrast is traceable for the nanoflakes of layer thickness below~6 nm.Moreover,applying strain is found efficient in modulating the magnetic moment and coercive field of 2D VSe_(2)at room temperature.These results are helpful for understanding the ferromagnetism of high temperature 2D magnets and for constructing novel straintronic devices or flexible spintronic devices.Wenjuan Ci Huali Yang Wuhong Xue Ruilong Yang Baohua Lv Peng Wang Run-Wei Li Xiao-Hong Xu 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:0

20Endothelial extracellular vesicles induce acute lung injury via follistatin-like protein 1显示文摘Cardiopulmonary bypass has been speculated to elicit systemic inflammation to initiate acute lung injury(ALI), including acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS), in patients after cardiac surgery. We previously found that post-operative patients showed an increase in endothelial cell-derived extracellular vesicles(eEVs) with components of coagulation and acute inflammatory responses. However, the mechanism underlying the onset of ALI owing to the release of e EVs after cardiopulmonary bypass, remains unclear. Plasma plasminogenactivated inhibitor-1(PAI-1) and eEV levels were measured in patients with cardiopulmonary bypass. Endothelial cells and mice(C57BL/6,Toll-like receptor 4 knockout(TLR4^(-/-))) and inducible nitric oxide synthase knockout(iNOS^(-/-)) were challenged with eEVs isolated from PAI-1-stimulated endothelial cells. Plasma PAI-1 and eEVs were remarkably enhanced after cardiopulmonary bypass. Plasma PAI-1 elevation was positively correlated with the increase in eEVs. The increase in plasma PAI-1 and eEV levels was associated with post-operative ARDS. The eEVs derived from PAI-1-stimulated endothelial cells could recognize TLR4 to stimulate a downstream signaling cascade identified as the Janus kinase 2/3(JAK2/3)-signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)-interferon regulatory factor 1(IRF-1)pathway, along with i NOS induction, and cytokine/chemokine production in vascular endothelial cells and C57BL/6 mice, ultimately contributing to ALI. ALI could be attenuated by JAK2/3 or STAT3 inhibitors(AG490 or S3I-201, respectively), and was relieved in TLR4-/-and iNOS-/-mice. eEVs activate the TLR4/JAK3/STAT3/IRF-1 signaling pathway to induce ALI/ARDS by delivering follistatin-like protein 1(FSTL1), and FSTL1 knockdown in eEVs alleviates eEV-induced ALI/ARDS. Our data thus demonstrate that cardiopulmonary bypass may increase plasma PAI-1 levels to induce FSTL1-enriched eEVs, which target the TLR4-mediated JAK2/3/STAT3/IRF-1 signaling cascade and form a positive feedback loop, leading to ALI/ARDS after cardiac surgery.
