A k-partition Π = {S 1 , S 2 , . . . , S k } of V (G) is called a resolving partition if for every two distinct vertices u, v ∈ V (G) there is a set S i in Π such that d(u, Si )≠ d(v, Si ). The minimum k for which there is a resolving k-partition of V (G) is called the partition dimension of G, denoted by pd(G). The circulant graph is a graph with vertex set Zn , an additive group of integers modulo n, and two vertices labeled i and j adjacent if and only if i-j (mod n) ∈ C , where CZn has the property that C =-C and 0 ■ C. | 10 | Brain Tumor Segmentation in Multimodal MRI Using U-Net Layered Structure显示文摘The brain tumour is the mass where some tissues become old or damaged,but they do not die or not leave their space.Mainly brain tumour masses occur due to malignant masses.These tissues must die so that new tissues are allowed to be born and take their place.Tumour segmentation is a complex and time-taking problem due to the tumour’s size,shape,and appearance variation.Manually finding such masses in the brain by analyzing Magnetic Resonance Images(MRI)is a crucial task for experts and radiologists.Radiologists could not work for large volume images simultaneously,and many errors occurred due to overwhelming image analysis.The main objective of this research study is the segmentation of tumors in brain MRI images with the help of digital image processing and deep learning approaches.This research study proposed an automatic model for tumor segmentation in MRI images.The proposed model has a few significant steps,which first apply the pre-processing method for the whole dataset to convert Neuroimaging Informatics Technology Initiative(NIFTI)volumes into the 3D NumPy array.In the second step,the proposed model adopts U-Net deep learning segmentation algorithm with an improved layered structure and sets the updated parameters.In the third step,the proposed model uses state-of-the-art Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention(MICCAI)BRATS 2018 dataset withMRI modalities such as T1,T1Gd,T2,and Fluidattenuated inversion recovery(FLAIR).Tumour types in MRI images are classified according to the tumour masses.Labelling of these masses carried by state-of-the-art approaches such that the first is enhancing tumour(label 4),edema(label 2),necrotic and non-enhancing tumour core(label 1),and the remaining region is label 0 such that edema(whole tumour),necrosis and active.The proposed model is evaluated and gets the Dice Coefficient(DSC)value for High-grade glioma(HGG)volumes for their test set-a,test set-b,and test set-c 0.9795, 0.9855 and 0.9793, respectively. DSC value for the Low-gradeglioma (LGG) volumes for the test set is 0.9950, which shows the proposedmodel has achieved significant results in segmenting the tumour in MRI usingdeep learning approaches. The proposed model is fully automatic that canimplement in clinics where human experts consumemaximumtime to identifythe tumorous region of the brain MRI. | 13 | Heat Transfer Enhancement of an Automobile Engine Radiator using ZnO Water Base Nanofluids显示文摘In this research paper, the forced convective heat transfer enhancement of a Suzuki Mehran(VXR) 2016 radiator(heat exchanger) along with pressure drop and friction factor by utilizing Zinc oxide(Zn O) water based nanofluids has been experimentally studied. Three types of nanofluids with different volumetric concentrations of Zn O nanoparticles(0–0.3%) were employed in order to understand its effect on heat transfer enhancement. The experimental setup was completely designed as closely as possible to the car cooling system. The experimentation has been done under laminar flow conditions(186≤Re≤1127) at different fluid volume flow rates(2–12 L/min) and constant fluid inlet temperature(70°C) to the automobile radiator. A maximum enhancement in heat transfer rate, overall heat transfer coefficient and Nusselt number was obtained up to 41%, 50% and 31% by using nanofluid with 0.2% volumetric concentration of nanoparticles respectively. On the other hand, the mean enhancement in pressure drop and friction factor was obtained up to 47% and 46% by using nanofluid with the same volumetric concentration of nanoparticles i.e. 0.2% respectively. The experimental results also revealed that the heat transfer rate, overall heat transfer coefficient and Nusselt number of nanofluids increases by increasing the volume flow rates and volumetric concentration of nanoparticles. However, these thermal performance parameters of nanofluids started to decline when the volumetric concentration of nanoparticles was increased from 0.2% to 0.3%. Furthermore, pressure drop and friction factor of nanofluids increase by increasing the volumetric concentration of nanoparticles, while pressure drop increases and friction factor decreases by increasing the volume flow rate of nanofluids respectively. | 15 | The charge state distribution of B, C, Si, Ni, Cu and Au ions on 5 MV pelletron accelerator显示文摘Stripper gas and terminal potential play a key role for the charge state distribution in a tandem pelletron accelerator. The knowledge of this distribution is important for experiments performed on tandem accelerators. The charge state distribution of B, C, Si, Ni, Cu and Au beams is measured by using Ar as stripper gas, and terminal potential is varied from 0.3 to 3.0 MV on 5UDH-2 tandem pelletron accelerator installed at the National Centre for Physics, Islamabad. The individual charge state is measured after the switching magnet at 15° in high-energy portion. It is observed that the higher charge states are stable in the range of lower and middle atomic masses of periodic table, whereas higher atomic mass(Au) shows beam current instability in higher charge states. | 19 | Estimation of erosion induced nutrients loss under different land uses: A case study in Miandam Valley, Swat Pakistan显示文摘In order to design Sustainable Land Management(SLM)plans or interventions it is important to understand the land use change and subsequent impacts.The basic aim of this study was to assess the impact of land use land cover(LULC)change on soil physico-chemical properties and nutrients loss under different land use/land cover changes within Miandam watershed of Swat valley,Pakistan.The study area was divided into three major types on the basis LULC type(Dense forest,Moderate forest and Agriculture land).A total of 81 soil samples were collected from the study area(27 from each land use)through stratified random sampling and were transferred to the laboratory.The prepared soil samples were then tested for various physico-chemical properties such as pH,electrical conductivity,contents of organic matter,organic carbon,sand,silt,clay,nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium,iron,copper and zinc.Results showed that LULC significantly affected all soil parameters except electrical conductivity and potassium.For all the nutrients assessed,the enrichment ratio was greater than 1 which showed that the most fertile layer of the soil in the cropped areas was transported through soil erosion.In this study,time-series satellite images were used to determine the spatiotemporal changes in the LULC of Miandam valley of Swat,Pakistan,and the possible effect of LULC on soil properties was reported.The information generated on the soil properties as indicators of soil health could be used to inform the stakeholders about the effect of LULC change in the study area.Multi-temporal image acquired by Landsat sensors for the year 2018 was used for quantifying changes in the study area.The Landsat images for the year 2018 were classified into six land cover/land use classes.The increase in agricultural activities caused an increase in the land farming areas which led to an increase in the rate of deforestation in the valley.Thus,the present study results reveal that the use of the soil for agriculture instead of keeping them naturally or in other words changes in the land use land cover affects the soil physico-chemical properties and the overall nutrients availability. | Nowsher Yousaf Bushra Khan Dennis C.Flanagan Ishaq Ahmad Mian Javaid Iqbal Irfan Rashid Salma Khalid Nasreen Ghaffar Sadaf Manzoor Muhammad Bilal | 2021 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,2: | 0 |
