4Detecting mislabeling and identifying unique progeny in Acacia mapping population using SNP markers显示文摘Acacia hybrids offer a great potential for paper industry in Southeast Asia due to their fast growth and ability to grow on abandoned or marginal lands. Breeding Acacia hybrids with desirable traits can be achieved through marker assisted selection(MAS) breeding. To develop a MAS program requires development of linkage maps and QTL analysis. Two mapping populations were developed through interspecific hybridization for linkage mapping and QTL analysis. All seeds per pod were cultured initially to improve hybrid yield as quality and density of linkage mapping is affected by the size of the mapping population. Progenies from two mapping populations were field planted for phenotypic and genotypic evaluation at three locations in Malaysia,(1) Forest Research Institute Malaysia field station at Segamat, Johor,(2) Borneo Tree Seeds and Seedlings Supplies Sdn, Bhd.(BTS) field trial site at Bintulu, Sarawak, and(3) Asiaprima RCF field trial site at Lancang, Pahang. During field planting, mislabeling was reported at Segamat, Johor, and a similar problem was suspected for Bintulu, Sarawak. Early screening with two isozymes effectively selected hybrid progenies, and these hybrids were subsequently further confirmed by using species-specific SNPs. During field planting, clonal mislabeling was reported and later confirmed by using a small set of STMS markers. A large set of SNPs were also used to screen all ramets in both populations. A total of 65.36% mislabeled ramets were encountered in the wood density population and 60.34% in the fibre length mapping population. No interpopulation pollen contamination was detected because all ramets found their match within the same population in question. However, mislabeling was detected among ramets of the same population. Mislabeled individuals were identified and grouped as they originated from 93 pods for wood density and 53 pods for fibre length mapping populations. On average 2 meiotically unique seeds per pod(179 seeds/93 pods) for wood density and 3 meiotically unique seeds per pod(174 seeds/53 pods) for fibre length mapping population were found. A single step statistical method was used to evaluate the most informative set of SNPs that could subsequently be used for routine checks for mislabeling in multi-location field trials and for labelling superior clones to protect breeder's rights. A preliminary set of SNPs with a high degree of informativeness was selected for the mislabeling analysis in conjunction with an assignment test. Two subsets were successfully identified,i.e., 51 SNPs for wood density and 64 SNPs for fibre length mapping populations to identify all mislabeled ramets which had been previously identified. Mislabeling seems to be a common problem due to the complexity involved in the production of mapping populations. Therefore, checking for mislabeling is imperative for breeding activities and for analyses such as linkage mapping in which a correlation between genotypic and phenotypic data is determined.Asif Javed Muhammad Mohd Zaki Abdullah Norwati Muhammad Wickneswari Ratnam 2017Journal of Forestry Research2017,28,6:1
5A Novel Auto-Annotation Technique for Aspect Level Sentiment Analysis显示文摘In machine learning, sentiment analysis is a technique to find and analyze the sentiments hidden in the text. For sentiment analysis, annotated data is a basic requirement.Generally, this data is manually annotated.Manual annotation is time consuming, costly and laborious process. To overcome these resource constraints this research has proposed a fully automated annotation technique for aspect level sentiment analysis.Dataset is created from the reviews of ten most popular songs on YouTube.Reviews of five aspects—voice, video, music, lyrics and song, are extracted. An N-Gram based technique is proposed.Complete dataset consists of 369436 reviews that took 173.53 s to annotate using the proposed technique while this dataset might have taken approximately 2.07 million seconds(575 h)if it was annotated manually. For the validation of the proposed technique,a sub-dataset—Voice,is annotated manually as well as with the proposed technique.Cohen’s Kappa statistics is used to evaluate the degree of agreement between the two annotations. The high Kappa value(i.e.,0.9571%)shows the high level of agreement between the two. This validates that the quality of annotation of the proposed technique is as good as manual annotation even with far less computational cost. This research also contributes in consolidating the guidelines for the manual annotation process.Muhammad Aasim Qureshi Muhammad Asif Mohd Fadzil Hassan Ghulam Mustafa Muhammad Khurram Ehsan Aasim Ali Unaza Sajid 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,3:0

7New insights on the utilization of ultrasonicated mustard seed cake:chemical composition and antagonistic potential for root-knot nematode,Meloidogyne javanica显示文摘This study focused, for the first time,on the effect of ultrasonic features on the extraction efficiency of secondary metabolites in mustard seed cake(MSC).The nematostatic potential of sonicated seed cake was examined against the second-stage juveniles(J2s)of root-knot nematode,Meloidogyne javanica. The results show that a 35 ppm(parts per million)concentration of a sonicated extract(SE)sample of MSC caused 65%J2s mortality at 18 h exposure period in vitro. It also significantly suppressed the root-knot index(RKI=0.94)in tomato roots. The lethal concentration values for SE were 51.76,29.79,and 13.34 ppm, respectively,at 6,12,and 18 h of the exposure period, and the lethal concentration values for the non-sonicated extract(NSE)sample were 116.95,76.38,and 55.59 ppm, respectively,at similar exposure time.Sinapine and gluconapin were identified as the major compounds in ultrasonic-assisted MSC.Because of the high extraction efficiency of metabolites in the SE,all treat‐ments of SE were shown to be antagonistic to J2s.Thus,this study of ultrasonication activity-based profiling of MSC may help generate target-based compounds at a scale relevant to the control of disease caused by nematodes in economic crops.Hera NADEEM Pieter MALAN Amir KHAN Mohd ASIF Mansoor AHMAD SIDDIQUI Simon TUHAFENI ANGOMBE Faheem AHMAD 2021Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,7:0
8A Novel Krill Herd Based Random Forest Algorithm for Monitoring Patient Health显示文摘Artificial Intelligence(AI)is finding increasing application in healthcare monitoring.Machine learning systems are utilized for monitoring patient health through the use of IoT sensor, which keep track of the physiological state by way of various health data. Thus, early detection of any disease or derangement can aid doctors in saving patients’lives. However, there are some challenges associated with predicting health status using the common algorithms, such as time requirements, chances of errors, and improper classification. We propose an Artificial Krill Herd based on the Random Forest(AKHRF)technique for monitoring patients’health and eliciting an optimal prescription based on their health status. To begin with, various patient datasets were collected and trained into the system using IoT sensors. As a result, the framework developed includes four processes:preprocessing, feature extraction, classification, and result visibility.Additionally, preprocessing removes errors, noise, and missing values from the dataset, whereas feature extraction extracts the relevant information. Then,in the classification layer,we updated the fitness function of the krill herd to classify the patient’s health status and also generate a prescription. We found that the results fromthe proposed framework are comparable to the results from other state-of-the-art techniques in terms of sensitivity, specificity,Area under the Curve(AUC),accuracy, precision, recall, and F-measure.Md.Moddassir Alam Md Mottahir Alam Muhammad Moinuddin Mohammad Tauheed Ahmad Jabir Hakami Anis Ahmad Chaudhary Asif Irshad Khan Tauheed Khan Mohd 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,5:0
