The characterizing parameters of the absorber are its relative acoustic resistance γ, the diameter d of the perforations and the resonance frequency fo. The later two form the perforate constaot k = , which, together with γ, decides the structure and characteristics of the microperforated-panel absorber. The maximum value of the absorption band width △f/f0 is (4/π)tan-1(1+γ), as k approaches zero, and it does not change much as far as k is less than 1, the cavity depth is nearly a quarter wavelength of the resonance frequency For large values of k, the absorption band narrows down significalltly and the cavity depth required becomes a small fraction of the wavelength. | 4 | Quantitative trait loci for Fusarium head blight resistance in wheat cultivars Yangmai 158 and Zhengmai 9023显示文摘Fusarium head blight(FHB)is one of the prevalent fungal diseases of wheat worldwide.Exploring new FHB resistance quantitative trait loci(QTL)in adapted wheat cultivars is a critical step for breeding new FHB-resistant cultivars.In this study,we developed a population of 236 F5:7 recombinant inbred lines(RILs)using two popular Chinese wheat cultivars,Yangmai 158 and Zhengmai 9023,with moderate FHB resistance to identify the QTL for FHB type II resistance.This population was evaluated for percentage of symptomatic spikelets per spike(PSS)using single floret injection in repeated greenhouse experiments.Mean PSSs were 33.2%for Yangmai 158 and 30.3%for Zhengmai 9023.A genetic linkage map of 1002 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)generated by genotyping-by-sequencing(GBS)was constructed for the RIL population.Six QTL were identified for FHB resistance,and three of them were repeatable in the both experiments.Zhengmai 9023 contributed the resistance allele at one repeatable QTL,designated as Qfhb.7D,whereas Yangmai 158 contributed the resistance alleles at the other two repeatable QTL,Qfhb.3AL and Qfhb.2DS.The additional QTL,Qfhb.4AS was significant in the mean PSS,and Qfhb.2DL and Qfhb.7AS were significant in only one experiment.Replacement of each allele individually at the three repeatable QTL significantly changed PSSs.Qfhb.3AL,Qfhb.2DS,and Qfhb.7D explained 8.35%to 9.89%,5.13%to 7.43%,and 6.15%to 9.32%of the phenotypic variations,respectively.The three repeatable QTL contributed by the two parents were additive and stacking the resistance alleles from all the three repeatable QTL showed the highest level of resistance in the current RIL population.Ten SNPs in the QTL regions of Qfhb.3AL,Qfhb.2DS,and Qfhb.7D were converted into KBioscience competitive allele-specific PCR(KASP)assays.One KASP marker for Qfhb.3AL was validated in a panel of wheat cultivars from China.Some of these KASP markers could be useful for marker-assisted selection to stack these QTL. | Pingping Zhang Chenjin Guo Zhao Liu Amy Bernardo Hongxiang Maa Hongxiang Ma Peng Jiang Guicheng Song Guihua Bai | 2021 | The Crop Journal2021,9,1: | 8 |

| 9 | High performance liquid chromatographic separation of thirteen drugs collected in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010(Ch.P2010) on cellulose ramification chiral stationary phase显示文摘The enantiomers separation of thirteen drugs collected in Ch.P2010 was performed on chiral stationary phase of cellulose ramification (chiralpak OD and chiralpak OJ) by high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) methods, which included ibuprofen (C1), ketoprofen (C2), nitrendipine (C3), nimodipine (C4), felodipine (C5), omeprazole (C6), praziquantel (C7), propranolol hydrochloride (C8), atenolol (C9), sulpiride (C10), clenbuterol hydrochloride (C11), verapamil hydrochloride (C12), and chlorphenamine maleate (C13). The mobile phase consisted of isopropanol and n-hexane. The detection wavelength was set at 254 nm and the fiow rate was 0.7 mL/min. The enantiomers separation of these thirteen racemates on chiralpak OD column and chiralpak OJ column was studied, while the effects of proportion of organic additives, alcohol displacer and temperature on the separation were studied. And the mechanism of some of racemates was discussed. The results indicated that thirteen chiral drugs could be separated onchiral stationary phase of cellulose ramification in normal phase chromatographic system. The chromatographic retention and resolution of enantiomers could be adjusted by factors including column temperature and the concentration of alcohol displacer and organic alkaline modifier in mobile phase. It was shown that the resolution was improved with reducing concentration of alcohol displacer. When concentration of organic alkaline modifier was 0.2% (v/v), the resolution and the peak shape were fairly good. Most racemates mentioned above had better resolution at column temperature of 25 1C. The particle size and shape influence the process performance and product quality, and in turn they are influenced by the flow behavior of the particles during production. Monitoring and controlling such characteristics in multiphase systems to obtain sufficient qualities will greatly facilitate the achievement of reproducible and defined distributions. So far, obtaining this information inline has been challenging, because existing instruments lack measurement precision, being unable to process overlapping signals from different particle phases in highly concentrated multiphase systems. However, recent advances in photo-optics made it possible to monitor such features(particle size distribution(PSD), aspect ratio and particle concentration) with advanced image analysis(IA) in real-time. New analysis workflows as well as single feature extractions from the images using multiple image analysis algorithms allowed the precise real-time measurements of size, shape and concentration of particle collectives even separated from each other in three phase systems. Improved outcomes for patients with severe traumat- ic brain injury could result from progress in pharmacological and other treatments,neural repair and regeneration,optimisation of surgical indications and techniques,and combination and individually targeted treatments. Expanded classification of traumatic brain injury and in- novations in research design will underpin these advances. | 18 | Microbiological screenings for infection control in unaccompanied minor refugees: the German Armed Forces Medical Service's experience显示文摘Background:The German Military Medical Service contributed to the medical screening of unaccompanied minor refugees(UMRs)coming to Germany in 2014 and 2015.In this study,a broad range of diagnostic procedures was applied to identify microorganisms with clinical or public health significance.Previously,those tests had only been used to screen soldiers returning from tropical deployments.This instance is the first time the approach has been studied in a humanitarian context.Methods:The offered screenings included blood cell counts,hepatitis B serology and microscopy of the stool to look for protozoa and worm eggs as well as PCR from stool samples targeting pathogenic bacteria,protozoa and helminths.If individuals refused certain assessments,their decision to do so was accepted.A total of 219 apparently healthy male UMRs coming from Afghanistan,Egypt,Somalia,Eritrea,Syria,Ghana,Guinea,Iran,Algeria,Iraq,Benin,Gambia,Libya,Morocco,Pakistan,and Palestine were assessed.All UMRs who were examined at the study department were included in the assessment.Results:We detected decreasing frequencies of pathogens that included diarrhoea-associated bacteria[Campylobacter(C.)jejuni,enteropathogenic Escherichia(E.)coli(EPEC),enterotoxic E.coli(ETEC),enteroaggregative E.coli(EAEC),enteroinvasive E.coli(EIEC)/Shigella spp.),Giardia(G.)duodenalis,helminths(comprising Schistosoma spp.,Hymenolepis(H.)nana,Strongyloides(S.)stercoralis]as well as hepatitis B virus.Pathogenic microorganisms dominated the samples by far.While G.duodenalis was detected in 11.4%of the assessed UMRs,the incidence of newly identified cases in the German population was 4.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.Conclusion:We conclude that the applied in-house PCR screening systems,which have proven to be useful for screening military returnees from tropical deployments,can also be used for health assessment of immigrants from the respective sites.Apparently healthy UMRs may be enterically colonized with a broad variety of pathogenic and apathogenic microorganisms.Increased colonization rates,as shown for G.duodenalis,can pose a hygiene problem in centralized homes for asylum seekers. | Winfried Maaβen Dorothea Wiemer Claudia Frey Christina Kreuzberg Egbert Tannich Rebecca Hinz Andreas Wille Andreas Fritsch Ralf Matthias Hagen Hagen Frickmann | 2018 | Military Medical Research2018,5,1: | 2 |
| 19 | A Cambrian micro-lobopodian and the evolution of arthropod locomotion and reproduction显示文摘The evolutionary success of arthropods, the most abundant and diverse animal group, is mainly based on their segmented body and jointed appendages, features that had evolved most likely already before the Cambrian. The first arthropod-like animals, the lobopodians from the Early Cambrian, were unsclerotized and worm-like, and they had unjointed tubular legs. Here we describe the first three-dimensionally preserved Cambrian lobopodian. The material presented of Orstenotubulus evamuellerae gen. et sp. nov. is the smallest and youngest of a lobopodian known. O. evamuellerae shows strikingly detailed similarities to Recent tardigrades and/or onychophorans in its cellular-structured cuticle and the telescopic spines. It also shows similarities to other, longer known lobopodians, but which are ten times as large as the new form. These similarities include the finely annulated body and legs, which is characteristic also for Recent onychophorans, and paired humps continuing into spines situated dorsally to the leg insertions, a feature lacking in the extant forms. The morphology of O. evamuellerae not only elucidates our knowledge about lobopodians, but also aids in a clearer picture of the early evolution of arthropods. An example is the single ventral gonopore between a limb pair of O. evamuellerae, which indicates that a single gonopore, as developed in onychophorans, tardigrades, pentastomids, myriapods and insects, might represent the plesiomorphic state for Arthropoda, while the paired state in chelicerates and crustaceans was convergently achieved. Concerning life habits, the lateral orientation of the limbs and their anchoring spines of the new lobopodian imply that early arthropods were crawlers rather than walkers. | Andreas Maas Georg Mayer Reinhardt M.
