| 3 | Effect of intermetallic compounds on the fracture behavior of dissimilar friction stir welding joints of Mg and Al alloys显示文摘Joining Mg to Al is challenging because of the deterioration of mechanical properties caused by the formation of intermetallic compounds(IMCs) at the Mg/Al interface. This study aims to improve the mechanical properties of welded samples by preventing the fracture location at the Mg/Al interface. Friction stir welding was performed to join Mg to Al at different rotational and travel speeds. The microstructure of the welded samples showed the IMCs layers containing Al12Mg17(γ) and Al3Mg2(β) at the welding zone with a thickness(< 3.5 μm). Mechanical properties were mainly affected by the thickness of the IMCs, which was governed by welding parameters. The highest tensile strength was obtained at 600 r/min and 40 mm/min with a welding efficiency of 80%. | 4 | Life prognosis of sentinel node navigation surgery for early-stage gastric cancer:Outcome of lymphatic basin dissection显示文摘BACKGROUND Lymphatic basin dissection is a sentinel node biopsy method that is specific for gastric cancer.In this method,the dyed lymphatic system is dissected en bloc,and sentinel nodes are identified at the back table(ex vivo).Even with lymphatic basin dissection,blood flow to the residual stomach can be preserved,and functionpreserving curative gastrectomy can be performed.The oncological safety of function-preserving curative gastrectomy combined with lymphatic basin dissection has not yet been fully investigated.We hypothesized that the oncological safety of sentinel node navigation surgery(SNNS)is not inferior to that of the guidelines.AIM To investigate the life prognosis of SNNS for gastric cancer in comparison with guidelines surgery.METHODS This was a retrospective cohort study.Patients were selected from gastric cancer patients who underwent sentinel node biopsy from April 1999 to March 2016.Patients from April 1999 to August 2008 were from the Department of Surgery II,Kanazawa University Hospital,and patients from August 2009 to March 2016 were from the Department of Surgical Oncology,Kanazawa Medical University Hospital.Patients who were diagnosed with gastric cancer,which was preoperatively diagnosed as superficial type(type 0),5 cm or less in length,clinical T1-2 and node negative,and underwent various gastrectomies guided by sentinel node navigation were retrospectively collected.The overall survival(OS)and relapsefree survival(RFS)of these patients(SNNS group)were investigated.Patients with gastric cancer of the same stage and who underwent guidelines gastrectomy with standard nodal dissection were also selected as the control group.RESULTS A total of 239 patients in the SNNS group and 423 patients in the control group were included.Pathological nodal metastasis was observed in 10.5%and 10.4%of the SNNS and control groups,respectively.The diagnostic abilities of sentinel node biopsy were 84%and 98.6%for sensitivity and accuracy,respectively.In the SNNS group,81.6%of patients underwent modified gastrectomy or functionpreserving curative gastrectomy with lymphatic basin dissection,in which the extent of nodal dissection was further reduced compared to the guidelines.The OS rate in the SNNS group was 96.8%at 5 years and was significantly better than 91.3%in the control group(P=0.0014).The RFS rates were equal in both groups.After propensity score matching,there were 231 patients in both groups,and the cumulative recurrence rate was 0.43%at 5 years in the SNNS group and 1.30%in the control group,which was not statistically different.CONCLUSION The oncological safety of patients who undergo gastrectomy guided by sentinel node navigation is not inferior to that of the guidelines surgery. | Shinichi Kinami Naohiko Nakamura Tomoharu Miyashita Hidekazu Kitakata Sachio Fushida Takashi Fujimura Yasuo Iida Noriyuki Inaki Toru Ito Hiroyuki Takamura | 2021 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2021，27，46： | 5 |
| 5 | Risk factors for the recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma after radiofrequency ablation of hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with hepatitis C显示文摘AIM: To analyze the risk factors of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) recurrence after radiofrequency ablation (RFA) treatment with HCV-associated hepatitis. METHODS: Twenty-six patients with HCV-associated HCC who were followed-up for more than 12 mo were selected for this study. Risk factors for distant intrahepatic recurrences of HCC were evaluated for patients in whom complete coagulation was achieved without recurrence in the same subsegment as the primary nodule. Twelve clinical and tumoral factors were examined: Age, gender, nodule diameter, number of primary HCC nodule, Child-Pugh classification, serum platelet, serum albumin, serum AST, post RFA AST, serum ALT, post RFA ALT, post RFA treatment.RESULTS: Distant recurrences of HCC in remnant liver after RFA were observed in 14 cases and in the number of primary HCC nodules (P = 0.047), and the serum platelets (P = 0.030), the clear difference came out by the recurrence group and the non-recurrence group. The cumulative recurrence rates after 1 and 2 years were30.8% and 86.8%, respectively for primary multinodular HCC, and 15.4% and 29.5% respectively, for primary uninodular HCC. In addition the 1-year recurrence rates for patients with serum albumin more than 3.4 g/dL and less than 3.4 g/dL were 23.1% for both, but the 2-years recurrence rates were 89.0% and 23.1%, respectively. | 7 | Augmentation of tumor necrosis factor family-induced apoptosis by E3330 in human hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines via inhibition of NFκB显示文摘AIM: To investigate the reduction of cell viability in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell lines induced by inhibition of nuclear factor κB (NFκB). METHODS: HLE, SKHep1, and HepG2 were incubated and E3330 was used to compare the stimulation of some chemotherapeutic drugs with that of TNF family, Fas ligand, TNFα and TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) at the point of the reduction of cell viability by inhibiting NFκB. RESULTS: E3330 decreased NFκB levels in HLE cells stimulated by TNF and TRAIL. The cytotoxicity of the combination of TRAIL, TNFα, Fas ligand, and E3330 increased synergistically in a dose-dependent manner compared to either E3330 alone in all HCC cell lines by MTT assay. However, the combination of some chemotherapeutic drugs and E3330 did not decrease the cell viability.
