1Effect of composite supports on the methanation activity of Co-Mo-based sulphur-resistant catalysts显示文摘The effects of composite supports of CeO2-Al2O3,MgO-Al2O3,TiO2-Al2O3 or ZrO2-Al2O3 on the methanation activity of supported Co-Mo-based sulphur-resistant catalysts were investigated.The catalysts were further characterized by nitrogen adsorption measurement,X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.The catalyst of 5%CoO-15%MoO3 supported on CeO2-Al2O3,MgO-Al2O3,TiO2-Al2O3 or ZrO2-Al2O3 composite oxides,respectively,showed different catalytic performances of syngas methanation in the presence of hydrogen sulphide as compared with that of the 5%CoO-15%MoO3/Al2O3 catalyst.The Co-Mo/CeO2-Al2O3 catalyst shows the highest methanation activity among the tested catalysts.The enhanced methanation activity may be attributed to the improvement of the dispersion of active metal species and the inhibition of the formation of S6+.Haiyang Wang Zhenhua Li Erdong Wang Can Lin Yuguang Shang Guozhong Ding Xinbin Ma Shaodong Qin Qi Sun 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,6:15
2Combination of ribavirin and reduning protects mice against severe pneumonia induced by H1N1 influenza a virus显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of ribavirin administration combined with Reduning in a mouse model of influenza A(H1N1)-induced severe pneumonia.METHODS:Influenza A/Beijing/501/2009(H1N1)-infected C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into four experimental groups treated with either a mock injection of phosphate-buffered saline(PBS),ribavirin(66.6 mg/kg daily)or Reduning(86.6 mg/kg daily),or a combination of both,for 7 days.Mice were monitored for clinical signs and survival,and body weight was measured daily for 14 days.Virus titer,lung wet-to-dry ratios,pathology and cytokines including interleukin(IL)-6,IL-10,and interferon(IFN)-γwere assayed on different days.RESULTS:In the untreated group injected with phosphate buffer saline,all the mice died of the infection.The survival rate of mice treated with Reduning was only 10%,whereas 100%of the ribavirin-and the combination-treated mice survived.Low lung viral loads indicated that ribavirin significantly inhibited virus replication,whereas Reduning did not.Lung wet-to-dry ratios demonstrated that both ribavirin and Reduning,administered together or separately,reduced acute lung edema compared with results in the untreated group.Pathology analyses also showed that treatment with a combination of both drugs relieved pathological lesions,whereas the single drug treatment did not.Levels of IL-6,IL-10 and IFN-γin mice treated with ribavirin or the combination of both ribavirin and Reduning were all significantly lower than in the untreated group,especially in the combination-treated group.In addition,Reduning administration significantly decreased both IL-6 and IL-10production but had no effect on IFN-γ.CONCLUSION:Due to the synergistic effect of antiviral and antiinflammation,the combination of ribavirin and Reduning could be an effective treatment for severe H1N1 which was considered to be significant to delayed antiviral and drug resistant.Ma Yuexia Zhang Wei Zhao Zhongpeng Li Min Liu Jian Wang Yuguang 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,2:13
3Progress in next-generation organic electroluminescent materials:material design beyond exciton statistics显示文摘Exciton(or spin)statistics is a physical principle based on the statistics of spin multiplicity.In electroluminescence,injected electrons and holes have randomized spin states,and usually form singlet or triplet excitons in the ratio of 1:3.Exciton statistics determines that the upper limit of internal quantum efficiency is 25%in fluorescent devices,since only singlet exciton can decay radiatively.However,both experimental and theoretical evidence indicate that the actual efficiency can exceed the exciton statistics limit of 25%by utilizing materials with special electronic structure and optimized device structures.These results bring light to break through the exciton statistics limit and develop new-generation fluorescent materials with low cost and high efficiency.Recently,the exciton statistics,which has attracted great attention in the past decade,is being rejuvenated due to the discovery of some fluorescent materials with abnormally high efficiencies.In view of their significance in theoretical research of organic semiconductors and developing new-generation OLED materials,such materials are widely investigated in both academic institutions and industry.Several key issues still require further clarification for this kind of materials,such as the molecular design concepts.Herein,we review the progress of the materials with efficiency exceeding the exciton statistics limit,and the routes to improve exciton utilization efficiency.In the end,we present an innovative pathway to fully harvest the excitons in fluorescent devices,namely,'hot exciton'model and relevant fluorescence material with hybridized local and charge-transfer(HLCT)excited state.YAO Liang YANG Bing MA YuGuang 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,3:11

5Differential water use strategies among selected rare and endangered species in West Ordos Desert of China显示文摘Aims West Ordos Desert(WOD)in Inner Mongolia of China is charac-terized by unique geographical and ecological features to avoid the direct invasion of Quaternary Continental Glaciation,so it hosts many endangered relic species such as Tetraena mongol-ica,Ammopiptanthus mongolicus and Potaninia mongolica from Tertiary.However,how these plants utilize available water sources remains unknown.The objective of this study was to investigate the water utilization strategies of selected rare and endangered plant species in WOD by comparing hydrogen isotope ratios between their xylem water and possible water sources following four rainfall events of varying-intensities.Methods We measured the hydrogen isotope ratios of xylem water from T.mongolica,A.mongolicus and P.mongolica and an accom-panying species Sarcozygium xanthoxylum and potential water sources(including precipitation and soil water in different soil layers from 0 to 150 cm)over 9 days following each of four varying-intensity rainfall events during the summer of 2012.And then calculated the percentage utilization of potential water sources by each species after each rainfall events using the linear mixing model.We also made the measurements of soil moisture and root biomass in favor of interpretation of plant water use strategies.Important Findings Tetraena mongolica,A.mongolicus and S.xanthoxylum primarily relied on deep soil water,whereas P.mongolica depended predomi-nantly on rainwater.These rare and endangered desert plants had differential utilizations of available water sources,so some com-petition for limited water existed among some species.Tetraena mongolica had a competitive relationship in absorption of soil moisture with the same family species S.xanthoxylum,suggesting that T.mongolica and S.xanthoxylum should be restored separately at different areas in the WOD.Overall,this study provides a better understanding of water use strategies of these four plants and scien-tific evidence for protecting rare and endangered plants,maintain-ing regional species diversity,and developing effective vegetation restoration plans in the WOD.Jie Chen Qing Xu Deqiang Gao Aiyun Song Yuguang Hao Yingbin Ma 2017Journal of Plant Ecology2017,10,4:9
6Chemical comparison of dried rehmannia root and prepared rehmannia root by UPLC-TOF MS and HPLC-ELSD with multivariate statistical analysis显示文摘To identify the chemical differences which lead to the different therapeutic effects of dried rehmannia root(DRR)and prepared rehmannia root(PRR),we compared the chemical composition of decoctions of randomly purchased DRR and PRR using ultra performance liquid chromatography(UPLC)coupled with time-of-fight mass spectrometry and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)coupled with evaporative light scattering detection(ELSD)with the aid of multivariate statistical analysis.Both approaches clearly revealed compositional and quantitative differences between DRR and PRR.UPLC-MS data indicated stachyose,rehmaiono-side A(or rehmaionoside B),acteoside(or forsythiaside,or isoacteoside),6-O-coumaroylajugol(or 6-O-E-feruloylajugol,or 6-O-Z-feruloylajugol)as important discriminators between DRR and PRR decoctions.HPLC-ELSD analysis showed that the content of fructose in the decoctions of PRR was about four times greater than that of DRR(P<10^(-5)),while sucrose content in the decoctions of PRR was only about one seventh of that in DRR(P<0.01).Our results suggest that some compounds,such as fructose,stachyose and rehmaionoside,may be responsible for the differing therapeutic effects of DRR and PRR.Furthermore,improvements in quality control for PRR,which is currently lacking in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia,are recommended.Qiande Liang Jing Ma Zengchun Ma Yuguang Wang Hongling Tan Chengrong Xiao Ming Liu Beibei Lu Boli Zhang Yue Gao 2013Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2013,3,1:8
7Progress in small-molecule luminescent materials for organic light-emitting diodes显示文摘Organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs) have been extensively studied since the first efficient device based on small molecular luminescent materials was reported by Tang. Organic electroluminescent material, one of the centerpieces of OLEDs, has been the focus of studies by many material scientists. To obtain high luminosity and to keep material costs low, a few remarkable design concepts have been developed. Aggregation-induced emission(AIE) materials were invented to overcome the common fluorescence-quenching problem, and cross-dipole stacking of fluorescent molecules was shown to be an effective method to get high solid-state luminescence. To exceed the limit of internal quantum efficiency of conventional fluorescent materials, phosphorescent materials were successfully applied in highly efficient electroluminescent devices. Most recently, delayed fluorescent materials via reverse-intersystem crossing(RISC) from triplet to singlet and the 'hot exciton' materials based on hybridized local and charge-transfer(HLCT) states were developed to be a new generation of low-cost luminescent materials as efficient as phosphorescent materials. In terms of the device-fabrication process, solution-processible small molecular luminescent materials possess the advantages of high purity(vs. polymers) and low procession cost(vs. vacuum deposition), which are garnering them increasing attention. 8Expert Recommendations for Tracheal Intubation in Critically Ill Patients with Noval Coronavirus Disease 2019显示文摘Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by a novel coronavirus(SARS-Co V-2),is a highly contagious disease.It firstly appeared in Wuhan,Hubei province of China in December 2019.During the next two months,it moved rapidly throughout China.Most of the infected patients have mild symptoms including fever,fatigue and cough,but in severe cases,patients can progress rapidly and develop into acute respiratory distress syndrome,septic shock,metabolic acidosis and coagulopathy.The new coronavirus was reported to spread via droplets,contact and natural aerosols from human to human.Therefore,aerosol-producing procedures such as endotracheal intubation may put the anesthesiologists at high risk of nosocomial infections.In fact,SARSCo V-2 infection of anesthesiologists after endotracheal intubation for confirmed COVID-19 patients have been reported in hospitals in Wuhan.The expert panel of airway management in Chinese Society of Anaesthesiology has deliberated and drafted this recommendation,by which we hope to guide the performance of endotracheal intubation by frontline anesthesiologists and critical care physicians.During the airway management,enhanced droplet/airborne personal protective equitment(PPE)should be applied to the health care providers.A good airway assessment before airway intervention is of vital importance.For patients with normal airway,awake intubation should be avoided,and modified rapid sequence induction is strongly recommended.Sufficient muscle relaxant should be assured before intubation.For patients with difficult airway,good preparation of airway devices and detailed intubation plans should be made.Mingzhang Zuo Yuguang Huang Wuhua Ma Zhanggang Xue Jiaqiang Zhang Yahong Gong Lu Che 2020Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2020,35,2:7
9Progress on the optoelectronic functional organic crystals显示文摘Organic crystals constructed by pi-conjugated molecules have been paid great attention to in the field of organic optoelectronic materials. The superiorities of these organic crystal materials, such as high thermal stability, highly ordered structure, and high carrier mobility over the amorphous thin film ma-terials, make them attractive candidates for optoelectronic devices. Single crystal with definite struc-ture provides a model to investigate the basic interactions between the molecules (supramolecular interaction), and the relationship between molecular stacking modes and optoelectronic performance (luminescence and carrier mobility). Through modulating molecular arrangement in organic crystal, the luminescence efficiency of organic crystal has exceeded 80% and carrier mobility has been up to the level of 10 cm2·V?1·s?1. 10Mixture prepared with Chinese medicines in terms of releasing exterior cold and clearing interior heat: its efficacy and safety in patients with seasonal influenza-a randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To assess the efficacy and safety in 105 patients with seasonal Influenza in Beijing, the mixture prepared with Chinese medicines follows the treatment regimen of releasing exterior cold andclearing interior heat.METHODS: Total 330 patients with seasonal influenza were enrolled and randomly and averagely divided into the Chinese herbal medicine, the western medicine and the Chinese patent medicine group. They were treated with Chinese medicine Oseltamivir Phosphate Capsules and the Scattering Wind and Resolving Toxins Capsules. The main efficacy indicators were the antifebrile onset time and recovery time of body temperature. The efficacy and safety of the mixture was scientifically evaluated. Comparisons of several variables were analyzed.RESULTS: Median antifebrile onset time of the Chinese herbal medicine group was significantly shorter than the western medicine group(P < 0.05) and the Chinese patent medicine group(P < 0.05). The median antifebrile recovery time of the Chinese herbal medicine group was significantly shorter than the Chinese patent medicine group(P <0.05). The groups evaluated by TCM symptom pattern effect, both the Chinese herbal medicine group and Western Medicine group were better than the Chinese patent medicine group(P <0.05). 11P-T stability conditions of methane hydrate in sediment from South China Sea显示文摘For reasonable assessment and safe exploitation of marine gas hydrate resource, it is important to determine the stability conditions of gas hydrates in marine sediment. In this paper, the seafloor water sample and sediment sample (saturated with pore water) from Shenhu Area of South China Sea were used to synthesize methane hydrates, and the stability conditions of methane hydrates were investigated by multi-step heating dissociation method. Preliminary experimental results show that the dissociation temperature of methane hydrate both in seafloor water and marine sediment, under any given pressure, is depressed by approximately -1.4 K relative to the pure water system. 13Uniform composition film of hydrophilic colloidal gold nanoparticles and hydrophobic carbazole functionalized fluorene trimers for enhanced fluorescence and stability显示文摘Compositing gold nanoparticles into conjugated molecules have been developed to be one of the most important approaches to increase stability, since degradation of conjugated materials is now one of the biggest bottle-necks to be conquered before industrialization application. Big-size colloidal gold nanoparticles with strong surface plasma resonance are designed to composite with conjugated molecules, in order to realize effective fluorescence enhancement and stabilization. The uniform composition film of hydrophilic colloidal gold nanoparticles (particle diameter of 30 nm) and hydrophobic carbazole functionalized fluorene trimers has been obtained by direct mixing of their aqueous and THF solutions, which is determined by AFM. By the comparison of composition based on fluorene trimers with similar structures, we have found that peripheral carbazole group and molecular size of fluorene trimers play an important role in the balance of incompatible solubility, which is regarded as increasing solubility of fluorene trimers in mixed solvent, connecting AuNP and peripheral carbazole groups, and restraining aggregate of gold nanoparticle. This allows facile hydrophilic gold nanoparticle to disperse uniformly in hydrophobic-conjugated host. Our investigations show that fluorescence intensity of composition film is enhanced by 4 folds, and heat treatment (200°C for 4h) for the composition film does not induce the degradation of conjugated backbone without the appearance of low-energy emission band, demonstrating the prominent potency of gold nanoparticles in enhanced fluorescence and stability of conjugated molecules and polymers.LIU LinLin XIE ZengQi MA YuGuang 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,22:1
14Utilizing morpholine for purely organic room temperature phosphors显示文摘In this article,morpholine,a non-conjugated heterocycle,is embedded intoπsystem to construct single-component organic room temperature phosphorescence(RTP)luminogens.The effect of morpholine on intermolecular interaction,crystal packing modes,and RTP performance is investigated systematically.The experimental and theoretical calculation results illustrate the versatility of morpholine in promoting the n-π*transition and intensifying the intermolecular interactions,which not only enhances the generation of triplet excitons,but also suppresses the nonradiative decay of triplet excitons.Impressively,TMPh containing three morpholine units shows an ultralong lifetime of 1.03 s and a visible afterglow up to 10 s.The unique dual delayed emission and long afterglow property allow potential application of morpholine derivatives in data encryption,and the time-dependent color change of afterglow emission is realized after removing the excitation source,providing a high-level data security.This article provides a new perspective for the design of purely organic RTP system without utilization of metal,or even any heavy atoms.Dongyan Jiang Tong Lu Chunya Du Futong Liu Zhenyu Yan Dehua Hu Anqi Shang Lei Gao Ping Lu Yuguang Ma 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,4:1
