| 1 | Generation of Cenozoic intraplate basalts in the big mantle wedge under eastern Asia显示文摘The roles of subduction of the Pacific plate and the big mantle wedge(BMW) in the evolution of east Asian continental margin have attracted lots of attention in past years. This paper reviews recent progresses regarding the composition and chemical heterogeneity of the BMW beneath eastern Asia and geochemistry of Cenozoic basalts in the region, with attempts to put forward a general model accounting for the generation of intraplate magma in a BMW system. Some key points of this review are summarized in the following.(1) Cenozoic basalts from eastern China are interpreted as a mixture of high-Si melts and low-Si melts. Wherever they are from, northeast, north or south China, Cenozoic basalts share a common low-Si basalt endmember, which is characterized by high alkali, Fe_2O_3~T and TiO_2 contents, HIMU-like trace element composition and relatively low ^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb compared to classic HIMU basalts. Their Nd-Hf isotopic compositions resemble that of Pacific Mantle domain and their source is composed of carbonated eclogites and peridotites. The high-Si basalt endmember is characterized by low alkali, Fe_2O_3~T and TiO_2 contents, Indian Mantle-type Pb-Nd-Hf isotopic compositions, and a predominant garnet pyroxenitic source. High-Si basalts show isotopic provinciality, with those from North China and South China displaying EM1-type and EM2-type components, respectively, while basalts from Northeast China containing both EM1-and EM2-type components.(2) The source of Cenozoic basalts from eastern China contains abundant recycled materials, including oceanic crust and lithospheric mantle components as well as carbonate sediments and water. According to their spatial distribution and deep seismic tomography, it is inferred that the recycled components are mostly from stagnant slabs in the mantle transition zone,whereas EM1 and EM2 components are from the shallow mantle.(3) Comparison of solidi of garnet pyroxenite, carbonated eclogite and peridotite with regional geotherm constrains the initial melting depth of high-Si and low-Si basalts at <100 km and^300 km, respectively. It is suggested that the BMW under eastern Asia is vertically heterogeneous, with the upper part containing EM1 and EM2 components and isotopically resembling the Indian mantle domain, whereas the lower part containing components derived from the Pacific mantle domain. | 2 | A synchronous nucleation and passivation strategy for controllable synthesis of Au36(PA)24: unveiling the formation process and the role of Au22(PA)18 intermediate显示文摘Despite the recent progress on controllable synthesis of alkynyl-protected Au nanoclusters,the effective synthetic means are very limited and the cluster formation process still remains puzzling.Here,we develop a novel synchronous nucleation and passivation strategy to fabricate Au36(PA)24(PA=phenylacetylenyl) nanoclusters with high yield.In Au36(PA)24formation process,Au22(PA)18as key intermediate was identified.Meanwhile,Au22(PA)18can be synthesized under a low amount of reductant,and by employing more reductants,Au22(PA)18can turn into Au36(PA)24eventually.Moreover,the structure evolution from Au22(PA)18to Au36(PA)24is proposed,where four Au13cuboctahedra can yield one Au28kernel.Finally,the ratiocination is verified by the good accordance between the predicted intermediate/product ratio and the experimental value.This study not only offers a novel synthetic strategy,but also sheds light on understanding the structural evolution process of alkynyl-protected Au nanoclusters at atomic level. | Xiaoshuang Ma Guanyu Ma Lubing Qin Guangxu Chen Shaowei Chen Zhenghua Tang | 2020 | Science China Chemistry2020,63,12: | 4 |

| 4 | Simulation of the Flow Conditions in Different Types of Bar Structures of Disc Refiner显示文摘Disc refiner is a critical equipment in the pulping and papermaking industry, pulp is refined in the refining zone, and different bar structures of refining disc constitute the different refining zones. With the use of the 3D modeling software SOLIDWORKS, five different refining discs that are commonly used in low consistency pulping, were built. The five refining discs were simulated and analyzed using the Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)software. The distribution of pulp velocity and surface shear stress, which is displayed between the bar and groove structures, can indirectly show the stress conditions on the refining discs. | 5 | Unveiling the Effects of Interchain Hydrogen Bonds on Solution Gelation and Mechanical Properties of Diarylfluorene-Based Semiconductor Polymers显示文摘The intrinsically rigid and limited strain of most conjugated polymers has encouraged us to optimize the extensible properties of conjugated polymers.Herein,learning from the hydrogen bonds in glucose,which were facilitated to the toughness enhancement of cellulose,we introduced interchain hydrogen bonds to polydiarylfluorene by amide-containing side chains.Through tuning the copolymerization ratio,we systematically investigated their influence on the hierarchical condensed structures,rheology behavior,tensile performances,and optoelectronic properties of conjugated polymers.Compared to the reference copolymers with a low ratio of amide units,copolymers with 30%and 40%amide units present a feature of the shearthinning process that resembled the non-Newtonian fluid,which was enabled by the interchain dynamic hydrogen bonds.Besides,we developed a practical and universal method for measuring the intrinsic mechanical properties of conjugated polymers.We demonstrated the significant impact of hydrogen bonds in solution gelation,material crystallization,and thin film stretchability.Impressively,the breaking elongation for P4 was even up to~30%,which confirmed the partially enhanced film ductility and toughness due to the increased amide groups.Furthermore,polymer light-emitting devices(PLEDs)based on these copolymers presented comparable performances and stable electroluminescence(EL).Thin films of these copolymers also exhibited random laser emission with the threshold as low as 0.52μJ/cm^(2),suggesting the wide prospective application in the field of flexible optoelectronic devices. | Lubing Bai Yamin Han Chen Sun Xiang An Chuanxin Wei Wei Liu Man Xu Lili Sun Ning Sun Mengna Yu He Zhang Qi Wei Chunxiang Xu Yingguo Yang Tianshi Qin Linghai Xie Jinyi Lin Wei Huang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 2 |

| 17 | Novel Lightweight and Protective Battery System Based on Mechanical Metamaterials显示文摘The challenges facing electric vehicles with respect to driving range and safety make the design of a lightweight and safe battery pack a critical issue.This study proposes a multifunctional structural battery system comprising cylindrical battery cells and a surrounding lightweight lattice metamaterial.The lattice density distribution was optimized via topological optimization to minimize stress on the battery during compression.Surrounding a single 18650 cylindrical battery cell,non-uniform lattices were designed featuring areas of increased density in an X-shaped pattern and then fabricated by additive manufacturing using stainless steel powders.Compression testing of the assembled structural battery system revealed that the stronger lattice units in the X-shaped lattice pattern resisted deformation and helped delay the emergence of a battery short circuit.Specifically,the short circuit of the structural battery based on a variable-density patterned lattice was∼166%later than that with a uniform-density lattice.Finite element simulation results for structural battery systems comprising nine battery cells indicate that superior battery protection is achieved in specially packed batteries via non-uniform lattices with an interconnected network of stronger lattices.The proposed structural battery systems featuring non-uniform lattices will shed light on the next generation of lightweight and impact-resistant electric vehicle designs. | Yao Huang Weihua Guo Jiao Jia Lubing Wang Sha Yin | 2021 | Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2021,34,6: | 1 |
