| 1 | Medical expenditures for colorectal cancer diagnosis and treatment: A 10-year high-level-hospital-based multicenter retrospective survey in China, 2002-2011显示文摘Objective: Colorectal cancer(CRC) causes a substantial burden of disease in China and the evidence of economic burden triggered is fundamental for priority setting. The aim of this survey was to quantify medical expenditures and the time trends for CRC diagnosis and treatment in China.Methods: From 2012 to 2014, a hospital-based multicenter retrospective survey was conducted in 13 provinces across China. For each eligible CRC patient diagnosed from 2002 to 2011, clinical information and expenditure data were extracted using a uniform questionnaire. All expenditure data were reported in Chinese Yuan(CNY)using 2011 values.Results: Of the 14,536 CRC patients included, the average age at diagnosis was 58.2 years and 15.8% were stageI cases. The average medical expenditure per patient was estimated at 37,902 CNY [95 % confidence interval(95%CI): 37,282-38,522], and the annual average increase rate was 9.2% from 2002 to 2011(P for trend <0.001), with a cumulative increase of 2.4 times(from 23,275 CNY to 56,010 CNY). The expenditure per patient in stages Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ were 31,698 CNY, 37,067 CNY, 38,918 CNY and 42,614 CNY, respectively(P<0.001). Expenditure significantly differed within various subgroups. Expenses for drugs contributed the largest proportion(52.6%).Conclusions: These conservative estimates illustrated that medical expenditures for CRC diagnosis and treatment in tertiary hospitals in China were substantial and increased rapidly over the 10 years, with drugs continually being the main expense by 2011. Relatively, medical expenditures are lower for CRC in the earlier stages. | 3 | 晚期转移性膀胱癌患者血清CA125检测的临床意义(英文)显示文摘Objective: To explore the clinical significance of the examination of serum CA125 level of patients with metastatic bladder carcinoma. Methods: Electrochemiluminescence technique was used to examine the serum CA125 concentration of 58 cases with metastatic bladder cancer. 30 cases of superficial bladder cancer and 8 cases of other urological diseases were collected as the control group. Results: Serum CA125 level in 39 (67.2%) out of 58 cases ranged from 36.7 U/mL to 1485.6 U/mL (mean 498.3 U/mL), being higher than normal (< 35 U/mL). Serum CA125 level of metastatic bladder cancer patients was 324.5 U/mL, significantly higher than that in control group (P < 0.001). Serum CA125 level of 10 patients after transure- thral resection operation was significantly lower than that before operation (P < 0.05). Serum CA125 level of 16 patients who refused further treatment significantly increased from 450.4 U/mL, to 505.8 U/mL (P = 0.041) 3 months after discharge from the hospital. Serum CA125 level of 17 patients significantly decreased from 475.8 U/L to 237.9 U/mL (P < 0.001) after bilateral iliac-arterial embolism treatment. | 4 | Prognostic and incremental value of computed tomography-based radiomics from tumor and nodal regions in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of preoperative radiomics and establish an integrated model for esophageal squamous cell cancer(ESCC).Methods:A total of 931 patients were retrospectively enrolled in this study(training cohort,n=624;validation cohort,n=307).Radiomics features were obtained by contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CT)before esophagectomy.A radiomics index was set based on features of tumor and reginal lymph nodes by using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)Cox regression.Prognostic nomogram was built based on radiomics index and other independent risk factors.The prognostic value was assessed by using Harrell’s concordance index,time-dependent receiver operating characteristics and Kaplan-Meier curves.Results:Twelve radiomic features from tumor and lymph node regions were identified to build a radiomics index,which was significantly associated with overall survival(OS)in both training cohort and validation cohort.The radiomics index was highly correlated with clinical tumor-node-metastasis(cTNM)and pathologic TNM(pTNM)stages,but it demonstrated a better prognostic value compared with cTNM stage and was almost comparable with pTNM stage.Multivariable Cox regression showed that the radiomics index was an independent prognostic factor.An integrated model was constructed based on gender,preoperative serum sodium concentration,pTNM and the radiomics index for clinical usefulness.The integrated model demonstrated discriminatory ability better compared with the traditional clinical-pathologic model and pTNM alone,indicating incremental value for prognosis.Conclusions:CT-based radiomics for primary tumor and reginal lymph nodes was sufficient in predicting OS for patients with ESCC.The integrated model demonstrated incremental value for prognosis and was robust for clinical applications. | Bangrong Cao Kun Mi Wei Dai Tong Liu Tianpeng Xie Qiang Li Jinyi Lang Yongtao Han Lin Peng Qifeng Wang | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2022,34,2: | 3 |
| 5 | Unveiling the Effects of Interchain Hydrogen Bonds on Solution Gelation and Mechanical Properties of Diarylfluorene-Based Semiconductor Polymers显示文摘The intrinsically rigid and limited strain of most conjugated polymers has encouraged us to optimize the extensible properties of conjugated polymers.Herein,learning from the hydrogen bonds in glucose,which were facilitated to the toughness enhancement of cellulose,we introduced interchain hydrogen bonds to polydiarylfluorene by amide-containing side chains.Through tuning the copolymerization ratio,we systematically investigated their influence on the hierarchical condensed structures,rheology behavior,tensile performances,and optoelectronic properties of conjugated polymers.Compared to the reference copolymers with a low ratio of amide units,copolymers with 30%and 40%amide units present a feature of the shearthinning process that resembled the non-Newtonian fluid,which was enabled by the interchain dynamic hydrogen bonds.Besides,we developed a practical and universal method for measuring the intrinsic mechanical properties of conjugated polymers.We demonstrated the significant impact of hydrogen bonds in solution gelation,material crystallization,and thin film stretchability.Impressively,the breaking elongation for P4 was even up to~30%,which confirmed the partially enhanced film ductility and toughness due to the increased amide groups.Furthermore,polymer light-emitting devices(PLEDs)based on these copolymers presented comparable performances and stable electroluminescence(EL).Thin films of these copolymers also exhibited random laser emission with the threshold as low as 0.52μJ/cm^(2),suggesting the wide prospective application in the field of flexible optoelectronic devices. | Lubing Bai Yamin Han Chen Sun Xiang An Chuanxin Wei Wei Liu Man Xu Lili Sun Ning Sun Mengna Yu He Zhang Qi Wei Chunxiang Xu Yingguo Yang Tianshi Qin Linghai Xie Jinyi Lin Wei Huang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 2 |

| 9 | Stretchable organic electrochemical transistors via threedimensional porous elastic semiconducting films for artificial synaptic applications显示文摘Neuromorphic computing targets realizing biomimetic or intelligence systems capable of processing abundant tasks in parallel analogously to our brain,and organic electrochemical transistors(OECTs)that rely on the mixed ionic-electronic synergistic couple possess significant similarity to biological systems for implementing synaptic functions.However,the lack of reliable stretchability for synaptic OECTs,where mechanical deformation occurs,leads to consequent degradation of electrical performance.Herein,we demonstrate stretchable synaptic OECTs by adopting a three-dimensional poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT)/styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene(SEBS)blend porous elastic film for neuromorphic computing.Such architecture shows the full capability to emulate biological synaptic behaviors.Adjusting the accumulated layer numbers of porous film enables tunable OECT output and hysteresis,resulting in transition in plasticity.Especially,with a trilayer porous film,large-scale conductance and hysteresis are endorsed for efficient mimicking of memory-dependent synapse behavior.Benefitted from the interconnected three-dimensional porous structures,corresponding stretchable synaptic OECTs exhibit excellent mechanical robustness when stretched at a 30%strain,and maintain reliable electrical characteristics after 500 stretching cycles.Furthermore,near-ideal weight updates with near-zero nonlinearities,symmetricity in long-term potentiation(LTP)and depression,and applications for image simulation are validated.This work paves a universal design strategy toward highperformance stretchable neuromorphic computing architecture and could be extended to other flexible/stretchable electronics. | Yujie Peng Lin Gao Changjian Liu Jinyi Deng Miao Xie Libing Bai Gang Wang Yuhua Cheng Wei Huang Junsheng Yu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 1 |

| 16 | Enhancement of morphological and emission stability of deep-blue small molecular emitter via a universal side-chain coupling strategy for optoelectronic device显示文摘Film morphology of emissive layers is crucial to the performance and stability of solution-processable organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs). Compared to the interpenetration of conjugated polymer chain,small molecular emitter with a flexible side chain always presents easily aggregation upon external treatment, and caused π-electronic coupling, which is undesirable for the efficiency and stability of deep-blue OLEDs. Herein, we proposed a side-chain coupling strategy to enhance the film morphological an emission stability of solution-processable small molecular deep-blue emitter. In contrary to “parent” MC8 TPA,the crosslinkable styryl and vinyl units were introduced as ended unit at the side-chain of Cm TPA and OEYTPA. Interestingly, Cm TPA and OEYTPA films present a relatively stable morphology and uniform deep-blue emission after thermal annealing(160 ℃) in the atmosphere, different to the discontinuous MC8 TPA annealed film. Besides, compared to the Cm TPA and OEYTPA ones, serious polaron formation in the MC8 TPA annealed film also negative to the deep-blue emission, according to transient absorption analysis. Therefore, both Cm TPA and OEYTPA annealed film obtained at 140 ℃ present an excellent deep-blue ASE behavior with a 445 nm, but absence for MC8 TPA ones, associated with the disruption of annealed films. Finally, enhancement of device performance based on Cm TPA and OEYTPA film(~40%)after thermal annealing with a similar performance curves also confirmed the assumption above. | 20 | Inhibition of MYC suppresses programmed cell death ligand-1 expression and enhances immunotherapy in triple-negative breast cancer显示文摘Background:Cancer immunotherapy has emerged as a promising strategy against triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC).One of the immunosuppressive pathways involves programmed cell death-1(PD-1)and programmed cell death ligand-1(PD-L1),but many patients derived little benefit from PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint blockades treatment.Prior research has shown that MYC,a master transcription amplifier highly expressed in TNBC cells,can regulate the tumor immune microenvironment and constrain the efficacy of immunotherapy.This study aims to investigate the regulatory relationship between MYC and PD-L1,and whether a cyclin-dependent kinase(CDK)inhibitor that inhibits MYC expression in combination with anti-PD-L1 antibodies can enhance the response to immunotherapy.Methods:Public databases and TNBC tissue microarrays were used to study the correlation between MYC and PD-L1.The expression of MYC and PD-L1 in TNBCs was examined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting.A patient-derived tumor xenograft(PDTX)model was used to evaluate the influence of a CDK7 inhibitor THZ1 on PD-L1 expression.Cell proliferation and migration were detected by 5-ethynyl-2′-deoxyuridine(EdU)cell proliferation and cell migration assays.Tumor xenograft models were established for in vivo verification.Results:A high MYC expression level was associated with a poor prognosis and could alter the proportion of tumor-infiltrating immune cells(TIICs).The positive correlation between MYC and PD-L1 was confirmed by immunostaining samples from 165 TNBC patients.Suppression of MYC in TNBC caused a reduction in the levels of both PD-L1 messenger RNA and protein.In addition,antitumor immune response was enhanced in the TNBC cancer xenograft mouse model with suppression of MYC by CDK7 inhibitor THZ1.Conclusions:The combined therapy of CDK7 inhibitor THZ1 and anti-PD-L1 antibody appeared to have a synergistic effect,which might offer new insight for enhancing immunotherapy in TNBC. | Xintong Li Lin Tang Qin Chen Xumin Cheng Yiqiu Liu Cenzhu Wang Chengjun Zhu Kun Xu Fangyan Gao Jinyi Huang Runtian Wang Xiaoxiang Guan | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,20: | 0 |
