| 1 | Famitinib in combination with concurrent chemoradiotherapy in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma: a phase 1, open-label, dose-escalation Study显示文摘Background:Famitinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor against multiple targets,including vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2/3,platelet-derived growth factor receptor,and stem cell factor receptor(c-kit).Previous studies have demonstrated anti-tumour activities of famitinib against a wide variety of advanced-stage solid cancers.We aimed to determine the safety and efficacy of famitinib with concurrent chemoradiotherapy(CCRT)in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).We also evaluated the feasibility of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(D-CEUS)as a predictor of early tumour response to famitinib and to correlate functional parameters with clinical efficacy.Methods:The trial was conducted in subjects with stage III or IVa-b NPC using a 3+3 design of escalating fami-tinib doses.Briefly,subjects received 2 weeks of famitinib monotherapy followed by 7 weeks of famitinib plus CCRT.D-CEUS of the neck lymph nodes was performed at day 0,8 and 15 after famitinib was administered before starting concurrent chemoradiotherapy.End points included safety,tolerability and anti-tumour activity.Results:Twenty patients were enrolled(six each for 12.5,16.5 and 20 mg and two for 25 mg).Two patients in the 25 mg cohort developed dose-limiting toxicities,including grade 4 thrombocytopenia and grade 3 hypertension.The most common grade 3/4 adverse events were leukopenia,neutropenia and radiation mucositis.D-CEUS tests showed that more than 60%of patients achieved a perfusion parameter response after 2 weeks taking famitinib alone,and the parameter response was associated with disease improvement.In the famitinib monotherapy stage,three patients(15%)showed partial responses.The complete response rate was 65%at the completion of treatment and 95%3 months after the treatment ended.After a median follow-up of 44 months,the 3-year progression-free survival(PFS)and distant metastasis-free survival were 70%and 75%,respectively.Subjects with a decrease of perfusion parameter response,such as peak intensity decreased at least 30%after 1 week of famitinib treatment,had higher 3-year PFS(90.9%vs.44.4%,95%CI 73.7%-100%vs.11.9%-76.9%,P<0.001)than those with an increase or a reduction of less than 30%.Conclusions:The recommended famitinib dose for phase II trial is 20 mg with CCRT for patients with local advanced NPC.D-CEUS is a reliable and early measure of efficacy for famitinib therapies.Further investigation is required to confirm the effects of famitinib plus chemoradiotherapy. | Qiuyan Chen Linquan Tang Na Liu Feng Han Ling Guo Shanshan Guo Jianwei Wang Huai Liu Yanfang Ye Lu Zhang Liting Liu Pan Wang Yingqin Li Qingmei He Xiaoqun Yang Qingnan Tang Yang Li YuJing Liang XueSong Sun Chuanmiao Xie Yunxian Mo Ying Guo Rui Sun Haoyuan Mo Kajia Cao Xiang Guo Musheng Zeng Haiqiang Mai Jun Ma | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 6 |

| 3 | Global analysis of lysine succinylation in patchouli plant leaves显示文摘Lysine succinylation is a novel,naturally occurring posttranslational modification(PTM)in living organisms.Global lysine succinylation identification has been performed at the proteomic level in various species;however,the study of lysine succinylation in plant species is relatively limited.Patchouli plant(P.cablin(Blanco)Benth.,Lamiaceae)is a globally important industrial plant and medicinal herb.In the present study,lysine succinylome analysis was carried out in patchouli plants to determine the potential regulatory role of lysine succinylation in patchouli growth,development,and physiology.The global succinylation sites and proteins in patchouli plants were screened with an immunoprecipitation affinity enrichment technique and advanced mass spectrometry-based proteomics.Several bioinformatic analyses,such as function classification and enrichment,subcellular location predication,metabolic pathway enrichment and protein−protein interaction networking,were conducted to characterize the functions of the identified sites and proteins.In total,1097 succinylation sites in 493 proteins were detected in patchouli plants,among which 466 succinylation sites in 241 proteins were repeatedly identified within three independent experiments.The functional characterization of these proteins indicated that the tricarboxylic acid(TCA)cycle,oxidative phosphorylation,photosynthesis processes,and amino acid biosynthesis may be regulated by lysine succinylation.In addition,these succinylated proteins showed a wide subcellular location distribution,although the chloroplast and cytoplasm were the top two preferred cellular components.Our study suggested the important role of lysine succinylation in patchouli plant physiology and biology and could serve as a useful reference for succinylation studies in other medicinal plants. | Xiaobing Wang Xiuzhen Chen Junren Li Xuanxuan Zhou Yanting Liu Liting Zhong Yun Tang Hai Zheng Jiyun Liu Ruoting Zhan Likai Chen | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 2 |

| 5 | Auricular vagus nerve acupressure for patients with emotional distress under the COVID-19 pandemic:A smartphone-based,randomized controlled trial显示文摘Objective: To confirm whether self-administered AVNA treatment is effective in improving emotional distressunder the COVID-19 pandemic.Methods: A smartphone-based online, randomized, controlled trial was designed from 26 February 2020 to 28April 2020 in four study sites, including Wuhan, Beijing, Shenyang, and Guangzhou of China. Local residentswho had considerable emotional distress with a score of the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) ≥9 were recruited. Participants were randomly assigned to three times of AVNA (n = 191) per day, in morning,around noon, and in evening or usual care (UC, n = 215) once daily for 14 days. The primary outcome was theresponse rate, which was the proportion of participants whose Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS)score reduced from baseline by ≥ 50%. The assessment was conducted at baseline, 3 days, and 14 days.Results: The AVNA group had a markedly higher response rate than the UC group at 3 days (35.6% vs. 24.9%,P = 0.02) and at 14 days (70.7% vs. 60.6%, P = 0.02). The AVNA group showed significantly greater reductionin scores of HADS at the two measurement points and BAI at 3 days (P ≤ 0.03), with average respective effectsize of 0.217 and 0.195. Participants with AVNA spent less time falling asleep and rated their sleep qualitybeing remarkably higher than those with UC at endpoint.Conclusion: During COVID-19 pandemic period, treatment with self-administrated AVNA was more effectivethan UC in reducing emotional distress of isolated populations. | 9 | Heavy atom-free triplet photosensitizer based on thermally activated delayed fluorescence material for NIR-to-blue triplet-triplet annihilation upconversion显示文摘Triplet-triplet annihilation(TTA) upconversion-based materials have potential application in the broad range of research areas, including photocatalysis and life sciences. However, near-infrared(NIR)-to-blue upconverted emission is preferred for most of the practical applications, but developing a NIR-to-blue TTA upconversion system is a challenging task in photochemistry. In this work, a thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF) material with intense visible-to-NIR absorption is demonstrated that shows a longer triplet state lifetime(32 μs) and high triplet state energy(E_(T)= 1.55 e V). For the first time, a heavy atomfree NIR(λ_(ex)> 650 nm) to blue(λ_(em)< 460 nm) TTA upconversion system was devised, employing the dimeric borondifluoride curcuminoid TADF material as triplet photosensitizer(PS) and a large anti-Stokes shift(0.88 e V) along with moderate upconversion yield was achieved. | 12 | Establishment of a prognostic scoring model for regional recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma after neck dissection显示文摘Objective:The main aim of this study was to establish a scoring model to predict risk of progression and survival in patients with regionally recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).Methods:Three hundred and forty-eight patients subjected to neck dissection from 2003 to 2017 were included for study.Clinicopathologic information for each patient was analyzed.Independent prognostic factors were selected using the Cox proportional hazards model and incorporated into the scoring model.Concordance index(C-index)and calibration curves were used to verify discrimination and calibration,respectively and the results validated using bootstrap resampling.Results:Microscopic positive lymph node>2[hazard ratio(HR),2.19;95%confidence interval(CI),1.30–3.68;P=0.003],extranodal extension(HR,2.75;95%CI,1.69–4.47;P<0.001),and lower neck involvement(HR,1.78;95%CI,1.04–3.04;P=0.034)were identified from multivariate analysis as independent factors for overall survival(OS).A qualitative 4-point scale was generated to stratify patients into 4 risk groups for predicting OS and progression-free survival(PFS).The novel scoring model demonstrated enhanced discrimination(C-index=0.69;95%CI,0.62–0.76)relative to the original recurrent tumor-node-metastasis(rTNM)staging system(C-index=0.56;95%CI,0.50–0.62),and was internally validated with a bootstrap-adjusted C-index of 0.70.The calibration curve showed good agreement between predicted probabilities and actual observations.Conclusions:The scoring system established in this study based on a large regionally recurrent NPC cohort fills a gap regarding assessment of risk and prediction of survival outcomes after neck dissection in this population and could be further applied to identify high-risk patients who may benefit from more aggressive intervention. | Xiaoyun Li Chao Lin Jinjie Yan Qiuyan Chen Xuesong Sun Sailan Liu Shanshan Guo Liting Liu Haojun Xie Qingnan Tang Yujing Liang Ling Guo Hao Li Xuekui Liu Xiang Guo Linquan Tang Haiqiang Mai | 2020 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1: | 0 |

| 18 | Precipitation sequences in rapidly solidified Allvac 718Plus alloy during solution treatment显示文摘Allvac 718Plus alloy is a compromising Ni-based superalloy at elevated-temperature of 704℃,due to its combination of good mechanical properties and excellent structure stability.The precipitation behaviors during heat treatment in Allvac 718Plus alloy processed by rapid solidification technique were systematically investigated in this work.The evolution of secondary phases in rapidly solidified(RS)718Plus alloy during annealing at 960℃is:η+MC in 1 h,η+MC+Laves(C14)in 6 h,and MC+Laves(C14)in longer duration.The growth and dissolution behaviors ofηphase are evidenced in RS samples and different types of dislocations at theη/γinterface are characterized.Based on these experimental observations,we examine the transformation mechanisms ofγ→ηandη→γ,which are related to the formation of stacking faults(SFs)with a1/6[211]γShockley partial dislocation and the climbing of14[0001]ηedge dislocations at theη/γinterface,respectively.Both MC and Laves(C14)phases are enriched in Nb and Mo,with a higher level of Ti in MC carbides and Cr in the Laves(C14)phase.The precipitation of MC carbides is driven by the high concentration of C atoms inγ-matrix,while the Cr segregation promotes the later nucleation of Laves(C14)phase inγ-matrix around MC carbides,which is due to the Cr atoms rejection from MC carbides into the matrix. | Liting Tang Qianying Guo Chong Li Chenxi Liu Yongchang Liu | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,33: | 0 |
