2Excessive gestational weight gain in early pregnancy and insufficient gestational weight gain in middle pregnancy increased risk of gestational diabetes mellitus显示文摘Background:Gestational weight gain(GWG)is associated with the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).However,the effect of weight gain in different trimesters on the risk of GDM is unclear.This study aimed to evaluate the effect of GWG on GDM during different trimesters.Methods:A birth cohort study was conducted from 2017 to 2020 in Shenzhen,China.In total,51,205 participants were included comprising two models(early pregnancy model and middle pregnancy model).Gestational weight(kg)was measured at each prenatal clinical visit using a standardized weight scale.Logistic regression analysis was used to assess the risk of GDM.Interaction analysis and mediation effect analysis were performed in the middle pregnancy model.Results:In the early pregnancy model,the risk of GDM was 0.858 times lower(95%confidence interval[CI]:0.786,0.937)with insufficient GWG(iGWG)and 1.201 times higher(95%CI:1.097,1.316)with excessive GWG after adjustment.In the middle pregnancy model,the risk of GDM associated with iGWG increased 1.595 times(95%CI:1.418,1.794)after adjustment;for excessive GWG,no significant difference was found(P=0.223).Interaction analysis showed no interaction between GWG in early pregnancy(GWG-E)and GWG in middle pregnancy(GWG-M)(F=1.268;P=0.280).The mediation effect analysis indicated that GWG-M plays a partial mediating role,with an effect proportion of 14.9%.Conclusions:eGWG-E and iGWG-M are associated with an increased risk of GDM.Strict control of weight gain in early pregnancy is needed,and sufficient nutrition should be provided in middle pregnancy.Aiqi Yin Fuying Tian Xiaoxia Wu Yixuan Chen Kan Liu Jianing Tong Xiaonian Guan Huafan Zhang Linlin Wu Jianmin Niu 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,9:5
3Chinese herbal medicine compound Yi-Zhi-Hao pellet inhibits replication of influenza virus infection through activation of heme oxygenase-1显示文摘As a leading cause of respiratory disease, influenza A virus(IAV) presents a pandemic threat in annual seasonal outbreaks. Given the limitation of existing anti-influenza therapies, there remains to be a requirement for new drugs. Compound Yi-Zhi-Hao pellet(CYZH) is a famous traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) used in the clinic, whose formula has been recorded in Complication of National Standard for Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat common cold. In this study, we found that CYZH exhibited a broad-spectrum anti-influenza activity and inhibited the expression of viral RNA and proteins in vitro. Mechanistically, CYZH had no inhibitory activities against viral protein hemagglutinin and IAV RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. Instead, it induced activation of erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2) and nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB), which subsequently upregulated heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) expression.Also, CYZH protected cells from oxidative damage induced by reactive oxygen series. 4Co-expression Analysis Identifies CRC and AP1 the Regulator of Arabidopsis Fatty Acid Biosynthesis显示文摘Fatty acids (FAs) play crucial rules in signal transduction and plant development, however, the regulation of FA metabolism is still poorly understood. To study the relevant regulatory network, fifty-eight FA biosynthesis genes including de novo synthases, desaturases and elongases were selected as 'guide genes' to construct the co-expression network. Calculation of the correlation between all Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) genes with each guide gene by Arabidopsis co-expression dating mining tools (ACT) identifies 797 candidate FA-correlated genes. Gene ontology (GO) analysis of these co-expressed genes showed they are tightly correlated to photosynthesis and carbohydrate metabolism, and function in many processes. Interestingly, 63 transcription factors (TFs) were identified as candidate FA biosynthesis regulators and 8 TF families are enriched. Two TF genes, CRC and AP1, both correlating with 8 FA guide genes, were further characterized. Analyses of the ap1 and crc mutant showed the altered total FA composition of mature seeds. The contents of palmitoleic acid, stearic acid, arachidic acid and eicosadienoic acid are decreased, whereas that of oleic acid is increased in ap1 and crc seeds, which is consistent with the qRT-PCR analysis revealing the suppressed expression of the corresponding guide genes. 6Effects ofβ-alanine on intestinal development and immune performance of weaned piglets显示文摘Beta-alanine is an important amino acid involved in several metabolic reactions in the body.The study aimed to investigate the effect ofβ-alanine supplementation on intestinal development and the immune performance of weaned piglets.Thirty-two 21-day-old healthy weaned piglets(half female and half male;Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire)with an initial body weight of 8.11±0.21 kg were randomly divided into 4 groups with 8 replicates of 1 pig each.The control group was fed a basal diet and the three experimental treatment groups were fed diets supplemented with 300,600 and 1,200 mg/kgβ-alanine,respectively.The trial lasted 28 days and the diets fed were divided into 2 phases:the late lactation period(day 1 to 14)and the nursery period(day 15 to 28),during which the weaned piglets had free access to food and water.The regulatory effects ofβ-alanine were further investigated in vitro using organoids obtained from the jejunum of piglets.In vivo,the addition ofβ-alanine to the diet had no significant effect on the growth performance of weaned piglets(P>0.05),but significantly reduced serum levels of immunoglobulin G(IgG)(P<0.01),immunoglobulin M(IgM)(P=0.005),and complement 3(C3)(P=0.017).The serum interleukin-6(IL-6)levels(P<0.01)were significantly reduced in the 1,200 mg/kg treatment group.The addition ofβ-alanine increased ileal villus height,with the most significant effect at a concentration of 300 mg/kg(P=0.041).The addition of 600 mg/kgβ-alanine significantly up-regulated the expression of superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity(P=0.020)and the zonula occludens-1(ZO-1)gene(P=0.049)in the jejunum.Diets supplemented with 300 mg/kgβ-alanine significantly increased the number of Ki67 positive cells in the jejunal crypts(P<0.01).In vitro,β-alanine increased the organoid budding rates(P=0.001)and the budding height of the crypt significantly(P=0.004).In conclusion,β-alanine can improve intestinal morphology and barrier function,reduce inflammatory responses and alleviate the adverse effects of weaning stress on piglet intestinal health.Linlin Chen Yan Zhong Xiangqin Ouyang Chunfeng Wang Lanmei Yin Jing Huang Yali Li Qiye Wang Junyan Xie Pengfei Huang Huansheng Yang Yulong Yin 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,1:2
7Culturing adequate CAR-T cells from less peripheral blood to treat B-cell malignancies显示文摘Objective:Chimeric antigen receptor-modified T(CAR-T)cells have shown impressive results against relapsed/refractory B cell malignancies.However,the traditional manufacture of CAR-T cells requires leukapheresis to isolate large amounts of peripheral blood T cells,thus making some patients ineligible for the procedure.Methods:We developed a simple method for CAR-T cell preparation requiring small volumes of peripheral blood.First,CD3+T cells isolated from 50 mL peripheral blood from patients(B-cell malignancies)were stimulated with immobilized anti-CD3/RetroNectin in 6-well plates and then transduced with CAR-expressing lentiviral vector.After 4 d,the T cells were transferred to culture bags for large-scale CAR-T cell expansion.In vitro and animal experiments were performed to evaluate the activity of the manufactured CAR-T cells.Finally,29 patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B-ALL)and 9 patients with B-cell lymphoma were treated with the CAR-T cells.Results:The CAR-T cells were expanded to 1–3×10^(8) cells in 8–10 d and successfully killed B cell-derived malignant tumor cells in vitro and in vivo.For patients with B-ALL,the complete remission rate was 93%1 month after CAR-T cell infusion;after 12 months,the overall survival(OS)and leukemia-free survival rates were 69%and 31%,respectively.For patients with lymphoma,the objective response rate(including complete and partial remission)was 78%2 months after CAR-T cell infusion,and after 12 months,the OS and progression-free survival rates were 71%and 43%,respectively.Cytokine-release syndrome(CRS)occurred in 65.51%and 55.56%of patients with B-ALL and B-cell lymphoma,respectively;severe CRS developed in 20.69%of patients with B-ALL and in no patients with lymphoma.Conclusions:Our novel method can generate sufficient numbers of CAR-T cells for clinical use from 50–100 mL peripheral blood,thus providing an alternative means of CAR-T cell generation for patients ineligible for leukapheresis.Lu Han Jian Zhou Linlin Li Keshu Zhou Lingdi Zhao Xinghu Zhu Qingsong Yin Yufu Li Hongqin You Jishuai Zhang Yongping Song Quanli Gao 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,4:2
8Bifunctional copper modified graphitic carbon nitride catalysts for efficient tetracycline removal:Synergy of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation显示文摘In order to efficiently re move tetracycline in wastewater through the synergistic effect of adsorption and photocatalytic degradatio n,a series of novel composite materials(Cu doped g-C_(3)N_(4))were synthesized by two-pot hydrothermal method.It was found that the composite materials with optimized ratio(Cu/CN-1)displayed outstanding adsorption and photocatalytic performance as compared with pure g-C_(3)N_(4) photocatalyst.The removal efficiency of tetracycline(TC,50 mg/L)reached almost 99%within 30 min by Cu/CN-1 through the synergy of adsorption and photocatalysis under visible-light irradiation,which was the highest re moval efficiency ever reported.The adsorption kinetics and isotherms of TC on the Cu/CN-1 were well fitted with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir model,respectively.Moreover,it was confirmed that the main effective reactive groups were O_(2)^·and h^(+) in photocatalytic process.The Cu/CN-1 exhibited high stability and excellent reusability after five cycle experiments.Finally,the mechanism of synergy between Cu and g-C_(3)N_(4) was proposed:on the one hand,the decoration of Cu particles significantly increased the adsorption sites of Cu/CN-1 to tetracycline,on the other hand,the modification of Cu particles effectively inhibits charge recombination and broadens the visible light absorption range of the photocatalyst.This study provided a promising photocatalyst to be used for TC removal in the actual wastewater.Huijing Wang Jun Zhang Pu Wang Linlin Yin Yu Tian Junjing Li 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:2

15Construction of truncated-octahedral LiMn2O4 for battery-like electrochemical lithium recovery from brine显示文摘The extraction of lithium from salt lakes or seawater has attracted worldwide attention because of the explosive growth of global demand for lithium products. The LiMn_(2)O_(4)-based electrochemical lithium recovery system is one of the strongest candidates for commercial application due to its high inserted capacity and low energy consumption. However, the surface orientation of LiMn_(2)O_(4)that facilitates Li diffusion happens to be prone to manganese dissolution making it a great challenge to obtain high lithium inserted capacity and long life simultaneously. Herein, we address this problem by designing a truncated octahedral LiMn_(2)O_(4)(Tr-oh LMO) in which the dominant(111) facets minimize Mn dissolution while a small portion of(100) facets facilitate the Li diffusion. Thus, this Tr-oh LMO-based electrochemical lithium recovery system shows excellent Li recovery performance with high inserted capacity(20.25 mg g^(-1)per cycle) in simulated brine. In addition, the dissolution rate of manganese per 30 cycles is only 0.44% and the capacity maintained 85% of the initial after 30 cycles. 17Natural interface-mediated self-assembly of graphene-isolatednanocrystals for plasmonic arrays construction and personalized information acquisition显示文摘As Interface mediated self-assembly of nanocrystals provide excellent strategy for sensing,catalysis or photonics,the construction of innovative interfaces and development of versatile strategies for nanocrystal synthesis are urgently needed.Herein,latent fingerprints(LFPs),the most common markers for human identity,are used as naturally accessible interface for organization of graphene isolated nanocrystals(GINs).Excitingly,the selective adsorption of GINs on lipidic ridge provides a universal approach for the in-situ construction of the plasmonic arrays.Such system with intrinsic chrominance and Raman signal enables the high resolution colorimetric and surfaced-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)dual-mode imaging,which can detail the structures of the LFPs from 1st to 3rd level even the LFPs are shielded.Furthermore,the interface can be constructed on diverse materials by a simple finger-pressing process and the densely packed arrays can serve as superior SERS substrate for label-free,non-invasive acquisition of molecule information especially residues in LFPs.The combination of chemical composition with detailed structures efficiently recognizes the human identity and could help link it to a crime scene.Overall,the LFPs can act as natural platform for interface mediated localized assembly and personalized information acquisition for forensic science or precise medicine.Shen Wang Tianhuan Peng Shengkai Li Linlin Wang Liang Zhang Zhiwei Yin Xin Xia Xinqi Cai Xiaoxu Cao Long Chen Zhuo Chen Weihong Tan 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:1

19Amorphous porous sulfides nanosheets with hydrophilic/aerophobic surface for high-current-density water splitting显示文摘The rational construction of electrocatalysts with desired features is significant but challenging for superior water splitting at high current density. Herein, amorphous Co Ni S nanosheets are synthesized on nickel foam(NF) through a facile structure evolution strategy and present advanced performance at high current densities in water splitting. The high catalytic activity can be attributed to the sufficient active sites exposed by the flexible amorphous configuration. Moreover, the hydrophilicity and aerophobicity of a-CoNiS/NF promote surface wettability of the self-supporting electrode and avoid the aggregation of bubbles, which expedites the diffusion of electrolyte and facilitates the mass transfer. As a result, the optimized electrode demonstrates low overpotentials of 289 and 434 m V at 500 m A/cm^(2) under alkaline conditions for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) and oxygen evolution reaction(OER), respectively. Impressively, an electrolytic water splitting cell assembled by bifunctional a-Co Ni S/NF operates with a low cell voltage of 1.46 V@10 mA/cm^(2) and reaches 1.79 V at 500 mA/cm^(2). 20Interface construction of NiCo LDH/NiCoS based on the 2D ultrathin nanosheet towards oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Carbon-free hydrogen as a promising clean energy source can be produced with electrocatalysts via water electrolysis.Oxygen evolution reaction(OER)as anodic reaction determines the overall efficiency of water electrolysis due to sluggish OER kinetics.Thus,it’s much desirable to explore the efficient and earth-abundant transition-metal-based OER electrocatalysts with high current density and superior stability for industrial alkaline electrolyzers.Herein,we demonstrate a significant enhancement of OER kinetics with the hybrid electrocatalyst arrays in alkaline via judiciously combining earth-abundant and ultrathin NiCo-based layered double hydroxide(NiCo LDH)nanosheets with nickel cobalt sulfides(NiCoS)with a facile metal-organic framework(MOF)-template-involved surface sulfidation process.The obtained NiCo LDH/NiCoS hybrid arrays exhibits an extremely low OER overpotential of 308 mV at 100 mA·cm^(−2),378 mV at 200 mA·cm^(−2)and 472 mV at 400 mA·cm^(−2)in 1 M KOH solution,respectively.A much low Tafel slope of 48 mV·dec^(−1)can be achieved.Meanwhile,with the current density from 50 to 250 mA·cm^(−2),the NiCo-LDH/NiCoS hybrid arrays can run for 25 h without any degradation.Our results demonstrate that the construction of hybrid arrays with abundant interfaces of NiCo LDH/NiCoS can facilitate OER kinetics via possible modulation of binding energy of O-containing intermediates in alkaline media.The present work would pave the way for the development of lowcost and efficient OER catalysts and industrial application of water alkaline electrolyzers.Jiahui Li Lili Wang Haojia He Yiquan Chen Zirui Gao Na Ma Bing Wang Linlin Zheng Rulin Li Yujia Wei Junqing Xu Yao Xu Bowen Cheng Zhen Yin Ding Ma 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:0
