1Association of three single nucleotide polymorphisms of ESR1 with breast cancer susceptibility:a meta-analysis显示文摘Expression of estrogen receptors is correlated with breast cancer risk,but inconsistent results have been reported.To clarify potential estrogen receptor(ESR)-related breast cancer risk,we analyzed genetic variants of ESR1 in association with breast cancer susceptibility.We performed a meta-analysis to investigate the association between rs2234693,rs1801132,and rs2046210(single nucleotide polymorphisms of ESR1),and breast cancer risk.Our analysis included 44 case-control studies.For rs2234693,the CC genotype had a higher risk of breast cancer compared to the TT or CT genotype.For rs2046210,the AA,GA,or GA + GG genotype had a much higher risk compared to the GG genotype.No significant association was found for the rs 1801132 polymorphism with breast cancer risk.This meta-analysis demonstrates association between the rs2234693 and rs2046210 polymorphisms of ESR1 and breast cancer risk.The correlation strength between rs2234693 and breast cancer susceptibility differs in subgroup assessment by ethnicity.Xu Hu Linfei Jiang Chenhui Tang Yuehong Ju Li Jiu Yongyue Wei Li Guo Yang Zhao 2017The Journal of Biomedical Research2017,31,3:4
2The principle of measuring unusual change of underground mass by optical astrometric instrument显示文摘Optical observations from a ground-based astrometric instrument provide a unique set of data sensitive to variations of local plumb line, which represent the change of local gravitational field on the ground. The local gravitational change could be caused by density variation or movement of underground mass in addition to tidal action. Earthquake was found to be related with gravitational change. A seismic zone could have abnormal underground material density, causing the variation of plume line on the ground. In this frame, the astrometric telescope can measure the variation of local plumb line by observing the local astronomical longitudes and latitudes from stars in the Hipparcos catalog. In this study, we estimate the deflection angle of the plumb line on a ground site, and give a relation between the angle, abnormal mass and site distance (depth and horizontal distance). Then we derive the abnormality of underground material density using the plumb lines measured at different sites, and study the earthquake gestation, development and occurrence. Using the deflection angles of plumb lines observed at two sites, we give a method to calculate the mass and the center of gravity of underground materials. 10Functional divergence of oligoadenylate synthetase 1(OAS1)proteins in Tetrapods显示文摘OASs play critical roles in immune response against virus infection by polymerizing ATP into 2-5 As,which initiate the classical OAS/RNase L pathway and induce degradation of viral RNA.OAS members are functionally diverged in four known innate immune pathways(OAS/RNase L,OASL/IRF7,OASL/RIG-I,and OASL/cGAS),but how they functionally diverged is unclear.Here,we focus on evolutionary patterns and explore the link between evolutionary processes and functional divergence of Tetrapod OAS1.We show that Palaeognathae and Primate OAS1 genes are conserved in genomic and protein structures but differ in function.The former(i.e.,ostrich)efficiently synthesized long 2-5 A and activated RNase L,while the latter(i.e.,human)synthesized short 2-5 A and did not activate RNase L.We predicted and verified that two in-frame indels and one positively selected site in the active site pocket contributed to the functional divergence of Palaeognathae and Primate OAS1.Moreover,we discovered and validated that an in-frame indel in the C-terminus of Palaeognathae OAS1 affected the binding affinity of ds RNA and enzymatic activity,and contributed to the functional divergence of Palaeognathae OAS1 proteins.Our findings unravel the molecular mechanism for functional divergence and give insights into the emergence of novel functions in Tetrapod OAS1.Xiaoxue Wang Jiaxiang Hu Linfei Song Enguang Rong Chenghuai Yang Xiaoyun Chen Juan Pu Honglei Sun Chuze Gao David WBurt Jinhua Liu Ning Li Yinhua Huang 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,7:1

12The Research of Ecology-Oriented Reasonable Deployment of Water Resources at Shuangtaizi Estuary Wetland显示文摘Shuangtaizi estuary wetland, the largest natural conservation district in China, and one of the best preserved, largest ecological lands with the most complete vegetation types in the world, is located in Panjin city, Liaoning Province. In recent years, the degradation of Shuangtaizi estuary wetland is very serious. In order to rescue lives in the wetland and protect valuable natural resources, the information system of Shuangtaizi estuary wetland was built with '3S' technology, and the minimum, optimum, and maximum eco-environmental water requirements were calculated respectively. 13Shallowing interfacial carrier trap in transition metal dichalcogenide heterostructures with interlayer hybridization显示文摘With the unique properties,layered transition metal dichalcogenide(TMD)and its heterostructures exhibit great potential for applications in electronics.The electrical performance,e.g.,contact barrier and resistance to electrodes,of TMD heterostructure devices can be significantly tailored by employing the functional layers,called interlayer engineering.At the interface between different TMD layers,the dangling-bond states normally exist and act as traps against charge carrier flow.In this study,we propose a technique to suppress such carrier trap that uses enhanced interlayer hybridization to saturate dangling-bond states,as demonstrated in a strongly interlayer-coupled monolayer-bilayer PtSe2 heterostructure.The hybridization between the unsaturated states and the interlayer electronic states of PtSe2 significantly reduces the depth of carrier traps at the interface,as corroborated by our scanning tunnelling spectroscopic measurements and density functional theory calculations.The suppressed interfacial trap demonstrates that interlayer saturation may offer an efficient way to relay the charge flow at the interface of TMD heterostructures.Thus,this technique provides an effective way for optimizing the interface contact,the crucial issue exists in two-dimensional electronic community.Xu Wu Jingsi Qiao Liwei Liu Yan Shao Zhongliu Liu Linfei Li Zhili Zhu Cong Wang Zhixin Hu Wei Ji Yeliang Wang Hongjun Gao 2021Nano Research2021,14,5:0
14Study on V_P/ V_S Variation Behavior in the Shanxi Region by the Wadati Single Station and Multi-earthquake Method显示文摘Based on arrival time data of seismic phases of ML≥2. 0 earthquakes measured at Shanxi Digital Seismic Network for the period from January 2001 to October 2014,V_P/ V_S in the Shanxi region is calculated using the Wadati single station and multi-earthquake method,and an investigation is conducted into the variation behavior of V_P/ V_S in the Shanxi region before and after the three earthquakes of MS≥4. 5 in 2010. Our study finds that abnormal V_P/ V_S appeared earlier at distant stations before all of the three earthquakes,which is at the time range from 6 months to 1 year before the earthquakes,and later at near stations,at the time range 10 days to 2 months before earthquakes. Therefore,it  s possible to narrow down the scope of the location in earthquake prediction from the distant and near station data. 15SPAG4L/SPAG4Lβ interacts with Nesprin2 to participate in the meiosis of spermatogenesis显示文摘SUN domain proteins are identified as a novel family of nuclear envelope proteins which are involved in spermatogenesis. SPAG4L is identified as the fifth member of this family. Previous studies have revealed that SPAG4L is involved in spermatogenesis and the mutations occurring in SPAG4L will lead to male infertility. However, the transcriptions of SPAG4L and its interacting proteins in the testis are still unclear. In this study, we identified a shorter transcript variant of SPAG4L, named SPAG4Lβ, in human testis by northern blot and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. Bioinformatics analysis showed that it encodes a protein consisting of 311 amino acids, and subcellular localization analysis revealed that it is mainly expressed in the cytoplasm. In situ hybridization and immunofluorescence assay revealed that SPAG4L/SPAG4Lβ is involved in meiosis. Furthermore, co-IP results demonstrated that SPAG4L/SPAG4Lβ interacts with Nesprin2, a KASH domain protein to form the LINC (linker of nucleoskeleton and cytoskeleton) complexes. Immunofluorescence results revealed that the LINC complexes of Spag4l/Nesprin2 in mouse are involved in spermatocyte division. 16N-doped graphene anchored ultrasmall Ir nanoparticles as bifunctional electrocatalyst for overall water splitting显示文摘Seeking for extremely active and durable bifunctional electrocatalysts towards the overall water splitting possesses a strategic significance on the development of sustainable and clean energy for the replacement of fossil fuels.Ir-based nanomaterials are deemed as one of the most highefficiency oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalysts while the hydrogen evolution reaction performance is unfavorable.In this work,we report a one-pot hydrothermal synthesis of N-doped graphene anchored Ir nanoparticles(Ir/N-rGO) with ultrasmall particle size(~2.0 nm).Apart from the predictably superior OER performance,the resultant Ir/N-rGO also displays excellent hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) performance,requiring merely 76 and 260 mV overpotentials to achieve the current density of 10 mA cm^(-2) towards HER and OER,respectively.When applied as the bifunctional electrodes for overall water splitting,Ir/N-rGO needs a lower overpotential(1.74 V) to achieve a current density of50 mA cm^(-2) in alkaline solution,exceeding that of Pt/C and RuO_(2) couple(1.85 V).Thus,the as-fabricated Ir/N-rGO has a commendable prospect in the practical application of alkaline water electrocatalysis.Wenqing Yao Xian Jiang Yulian Li Cuiting Zhao Linfei Ding Dongmei Sun Yawen Tang 2022Green Energy & Environment2022,7,5:0
17Direct evidence of two-dimensional electron gas-like band structures in hafnene显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)honeycomb-like materials have been widely studied due to their fascinating properties.In particular,2D honeycomb-like transition metal monolayers,which are good 2D ferromagnet candidates,have attracted intense research interest.The honeycomb-like structure of hafnium,hafnene,has been successfully fabricated on the Ir(111)substrate.However,its electronic structure has not yet been directly elucidated.Here,we report the electronic structure of hafnene grown on the Ir(111)substrate using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy(ARPES).Our results indicate that the presence of spin-orbit coupling and Hubbard interaction suppresses the earlier predicted Dirac cones at the K points of the Brillouin zone.The observed band structure of hafnene near the Fermi level is very simple:an electron pocket centered at theΓpoint of the Brillouin zone.This electron pocket shows typical parabolic dispersion,and its estimated electron effective mass and electron density are approximately 1.8_(me)and 7×10^(14)cm^(-2),respectively.Our results demonstrate the existence of 2D electron gas in hafnene grown on the Ir(111)substrate and therefore provide key information for potential hafnene-based device applications.Shaozhu Xiao Meng Liu Linfei Li Jiatao Sun Yeliang Wang Shaolong He 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:0

19Aptamer-functionalized nanoplatforms overcoming temozolomide resistance in synergistic chemo/photothermal therapy through alleviating tumor hypoxia显示文摘Tumor hypoxia is intimately associated with gliomas,which represents a significant threat to human health and are resistant to the first-line chemotherapeutic drug temozolomide(TMZ)due to hypoxia.In this work,to overcome TMZ resistance in orthotopic gliomas,aptamer-functionalized liposomes are manufactured to encapsulate TMZ and photothermal agent IR780,and can cross the blood-brain barrier and actively target gliomas.It is possible to employ liposomes for both fluorescence and photoacoustic imaging simultaneously due to their stability and excellent photothermal conversion capabilities.This chemo/photothermal synergistic therapeutic effect of liposomes on gliomas is demonstrated by their abilities to target orthotopic gliomas,alleviate tumor hypoxia and consequently reverse resistance of glioma cells to TMZ,thereby extending the survival time of tumor-bearing mice,making the nanoplatforms and their synergistic chemo/photothermal therapy as a potential clinical treatment for gliomas.Yun Zeng Linfei Zhao Ke Li Jingwen Ma Dan Chen Changhu Liu Wenhua Zhan Yonghua Zhan 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
