1Structures and antifouling properties of low surface energy non-toxic antifouling coatings modified by nano-SiO_2 powder显示文摘Antifouling coatings are used to improve the speed and energy efficiency of ships by preventing or- ganisms, such as barnacles and weed, building up on the underwater hull and helping the ships movement through the water. Typically, marine coatings are tributyltin self-polishing copolymer paints containing toxic molecules called biocides. They have been the most successful in combating bio- fouling on ships, but their widespread use has caused severe pollution in the marine ecosystem. The low surface energy marine coating is an entirely non-toxic alternative, which reduces the adhesion strength of marine organisms, facilitating their hydrodynamic removal at high speeds. In this paper, the novel low surface energy non-toxic marine antifouling coatings were prepared with modified acrylic resin, nano-SiO2, and other pigments. The effects of nano-SiO2 on the surface structure and elastic modulus of coating films have been studied, and the seawater test has been carried out in the Dalian Bay. The results showed that micro-nano layered structures on the coating films and the lowest surface energy and elastic modulus could be obtained when an appropriate mass ratio of resin, nano-SiO2, and other pigments in coatings approached. 3Effect of Salinity on the Survival, Ions and Urea Modulation in Red-eared Slider(Trachemys scripta elegans)显示文摘To understand the tolerance to salinity and osmoregulation of the introduced Trachemys scripta elegans, the salinity stress of four groups(salinity 5‰, 15‰, 25‰ and control group) were conducted. Inorganic ions, osmotic pressure, glucose and aldosterone of blood and urine in T. s. elegans(BW: 125.60 ± 19.84 g) were analyzed at 30 d, 60 d and 90 d stress. The results showed that: 1) inorganic ions concentration of blood and urine increased with ambient salinity, which indicated that high influx of ions was combined with higher outflow when exposed to saline water in T. s. elegans. However, blood aldosterone decreased with increasing salinity, which indicated that an increased sodium intake resulting in a diminished aldosterone production. However, with elapsed time, inorganic ions in urine decreased, which indicated that inorganic ions in blood would be accumulated, and Na+ and Cl– in the plasma inevitably build up to harmful levels, at last death was happening when T. s. elegans was exposed to salinity 25 during 90 d salinity stress; 2) blood osmotic pressure increased as ambient salinity increased, it would reach 400 mOsm/kg in the group of salinity 25, which was about 1.5 fold of the control group. Higher blood osmotic pressure was due to both higher blood ions and urea concentrations. There may be another mechanism to avoid an excess of NaCl together with an important loss of water using one of the end-products of nitrogen metabolism; 3) blood glucose in each group except the group of salinity 5 decreased with time elapsed and with salinity increased. Therefore, we can conclude that T. s. elegans is an osmoregulator that limits the entry of Na+ and Cl–, but can also tolerate certain degrees of increases in plasma Na+ and Cl–. When ambient salinity was lower than 15‰, T. s. elegans can increase blood osmotic pressure by balancing the entry of NaCl with the secretion of aldosterone decreased, and by accumulating blood urea for osmoregulation effectors, and survive for at least three months. 4Captive Breeding of the Four-eyed Turtle(Sacalia quadriocellata)显示文摘In 1998,a study on forty-five four-eyed turtles(Sacalia quadriocellata) was initiated to gather preliminary biological data of this species and to investigate the feasibility of its captive reproduction.In the following six years,no courtship behavior was found occurring in males and no oviposition in females.From 2004 to 2007,two successful techniques were applied to initiate reproductive behavior:1) injecting exogenous reproductive hormones;and 2) reducing the stress of living in captivity.As a result of the hormone treatments,courtship behavior and copulation were observed during September and October,2005.However,no courtship displays were seen from the CK males,which were not treated with hormones.Ovulation occurred between December and March,and the correlation was not significant between behavior of ovulation and food intake.Females laid only one clutch of eggs each year,with 2.47 eggs(n=34,range=1–4) at average,and 84 eggs were totally obtained,of which 13 were damaged,52 were infertile and 19 fertile.Of the fertile eggs,nine were hatched with mean incubation period of 105.9 days(n=9,range=89–122 days) at temperature ranging from 24 to 27℃.HE Bin LIU Yuxiang SHI Haitao ZHANG Jie HU Maogui MA Yonggang FU Lirong HONG Meiling WANG Jichao Fong J.Jonathan Parham F.James 2010Asian Herpetological Research2010,1,2:2
5High-pressure investigations on the isostructural phase transition and metallization in realgar with diamond anvil cells显示文摘The high-pressure structural,vibrational and electrical properties for realgar were investigated by in-situ Raman scattering and electrical conductivity experiments combined with first-principle calculations up to~30.8 GPa.It was verified that realgar underwent an isostructural phase transition at~6.3 GPa and a metallization at a higher pressure of~23.5 GPa.The isostructural phase transition was well evidenced by the obvious variations of Raman peaks,electrical conductivity,crystal parameters and the As–S bond length.The phase transition of metallization was in closely associated with the closure of bandgap rather than caused by the structural phase transition.And furthermore,the metallic realgar exhibited a relatively low compressibility with the unit cell volume V_(0)=718.1.4Å^(3)and bulk modulus B_(0)=36.1 GPa.Linfei Yang Lidong Dai Heping Li Haiying Hu Meiling Hong Xinyu Zhang Pengfei Liu 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,2:1

7Characterization of tub_4^(P287L), a β-tubulin mutant,revealed new aspects of microtubule regulation in shade显示文摘When sun plants, such as Arabidopsis thaliana, are under canopy shade, elongation of stems/petioles will be induced as one of the most prominent responses. Plant hormones mediate the elongation growth. However, how environmental and hormonal signals are translated into cell expansion activity that leads to the elongation growth remains elusive. Through forward genetic study, we identifi ed shade avoidance2(sav2) mutant, which contains a P287 L mutation in b-TUBULIN 4. Cortical microtubules(c MTs) play a key role in anisotropic cell growth. Hypocotyls of sav2 are wild type-like in white light, but are short and highly swollen in shade and dark. We showed that shade not only induces c MT rearrangement, but also affects c MT stability and dynamics of plus ends. Even though auxin and brassinosteroids are required for shade-induced hypocotyl elongation, they had little effect on shade-induced rearrangement of c MTs.Blocking auxin transport suppressed dark phenotypes of sav2, while overexpressing EB1b-GFP, a microtubule plus-end binding protein, rescued sav2 in both shade and dark,suggesting that tub4P287 L represents a unique type of tubulin mutation that does not affect c MT function in supporting cell elongation, but may affect the ability of c MTs to respond properly to growth promoting stimuli.Jie Yu Hong Qiu Xin Liu Meiling Wang Yongli Gao Joanne Chory Yi Tao 2015Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2015,57,9:1

9High-Level Multi-difference Cues for Image Saliency Detection显示文摘Salient detection approaches mainly use single local cues or global cues as its inputs features to detect salient objects,which are sensitive to complex background,so the effect of detection were not satisfactory.In this paper,we investigate the traits of saliency detection and observed the two following facts:Firstly,high-level saliency cues achieve better saliency detection results than low-level saliency cues.Secondly,multi-difference cues achieve better saliency detection results than single difference cues.Based on deeply analysis,we proposed an image saliency detection algorithm through high level multi-difference cues(HMDS).By using multi-difference,not only HMDS could remove the non-salient region effectively,but also it could enhance the pixel value of salient region at the same time.In order to evaluate the performance of HMDS,the proposed method is compared with seven state-of-the-art algorithms on five popular datasets.The final experimental results show that the proposed method performs effectiveness,and will have a perfect application prospect.Jianwei Sun Junfeng Wu Hong Yu Meiling Zhang Qiang Luo Juanjuan Sun 2017国际计算机前沿大会会议论文集2017,,1:0
10Effect of autologous NK cell immunotherapy on advanced lung adenocarcinoma with EGFR mutations显示文摘This study investigated the efficiency of natural killer(NK)cell immunotherapy on non-small cell lung cancer with and without EGFRmutations in order to evaluate the response rate(RR)and progression-free survival(PFS).Among the 48 patients recruited,24 were clinically confirmed to be EGFR mutation positive.The study group was treated with autologous NK cell immunotherapy.Comparisons of the lymphocyte number,serum tumourrelated biomarkers,circulating tumour cells(CTC),Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)and survival curves were carried out before and after NK cell immunotherapy.The safety and short-term effects were evaluated,followed by median PFS and RR assessments.The serum CEA and CA125 values were found lower in the NK cell therapy group than that of the non-NK treatment group(p<0.05).Theχ2 test showed a 75%RR of the study group A,significantly higher than that of the control group B(16.7%;p<0.01).The RR of groups C(58.3%)and D(41.7%)were not statistically significant.The p values of the 4 groups were 0.012,0.012,0.166 and 1 from group A to group D,respectively.The median PFS was 9 months in EGFR mutation positive group undergoing NK cell infusion interference.By evaluating the changes in immune function,tumour biomarkers,CTC,KPS and PFS,we demonstrated that NK cell therapy had better clinical therapeutic effects on EGFR mutation-positive lung adenocarcinoma.Guodai Hong Xuemei Chen Xizhuo Sun Meiling Zhou Bing Liu ZhuLi Zhendong Yu Wenbin Gao Tao Liu 2019Precision Clinical Medicine2019,2,4:0
