3Effect of New Hardening Accelerator on the Strength of Segment Concrete显示文摘A novel crystal nucleus-based cement-hardening accelerator was evaluated using various mortar and segment concrete experiments.The mechanism of hardening acceleration was investigated via hydration temperature variation analysis,hydration degree analysis,X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).In the presence of accelerator,the fluidity loss of mortar was increased after 30 minuites,and a coagulation was also observed.Moreover,based on the image of SEM,the formation of C-S-H gels was enhanced in the early hydration.As a result,the hardening accelerator could significantly boost the early strength of concrete,especially within one day of pouring,and shorten steam curing time to meet the demolding strength.邓最亮 WANG Weishan 路贵民 FU Lefeng ZHENG Baicun 2021Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2021,36,3:3

16Magnetic Actuated Shape-memory Helical Microswimmers with Programmable Recovery Behaviors显示文摘Inspired by bacterial flagella in nature,magnetic helical microswimmer is an ideal model to perform complex task in a low Reynolds number environments.Shape Memory Polymers(SMPs)with desirable properties are considered as one of the most preferred options for the development of small-scale robots.However,fabricating and programming strategies are still challenging.Here,we report an approach to fabricate helical microswimmers based on thermoplastic SMP(polylactic acid).Melt-spun polylactic acid fibers containing magnetic particles were enwound to form helical microstructures.Their shape recovery behaviors were programmed by annealing and pre-deformation.Three forms of helical microswimmers(constant-helix-angle conical helix,constant-pitch conical helix,and straight helix)with controlled morphological parameters were tailored.The obtained microswimmers showed 3D locomotion capability under rotating magnetic fields.The maximum swimming velocity of microswimmers was nearly six body lengths per second,and the near-wall swimming of conical helixes along their sharp end exhibited a smaller drift.Moreover,we demonstrated programmed shape-switching processes(spring-like contraction and elongation,coiling and uncoiling)and self-repairing of the microswimmers.As demonstrations of potential applications,tasks of mobile microstent,cargo delivery,and minimally invasive injection were carried out.The multifunctional shape-memory microswimmers have immense potential in a variety of applications.Fu Zhao Weibin Rong Lefeng Wang Lining Sun 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,4:1
17Twin peaks of in-hospital mortality among patients with STEMI across five phases of COVID-19 outbreak in China:a nation-wide study显示文摘Lockdown and re-opening may become cyclical due to the recurrent waves of the COVID-19 epidemic.Few studies have examined temporal trends and determinants of in-hospital mortality among patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI),a life-threatening condition that requires emergency medical care.Using nation-wide data before,during and after the Wuhan lockdown,we aimed to depict temporal patterns and major determinants of STEMI in-hospital mortality in China across five time periods of the COVID-19 epidemic.We analyzed the data of 283,661 STEMI patients who were admitted to 4,487 chest-pain-centers across China,from January 1,2019 to May 31,2020.Compared with the period before the lockdown,STEMI in-hospital mortality increased by 25%(OR 1.25,95%CI 1.16–1.34)during Early Lockdown,by 12%(OR 1.12,95%CI 1.03–1.22)during Later Lockdown,by 35%(OR 1.35,95%CI 1.21–1.50)during Early Lift,and returned to pre-COVID risk(OR 1.04,95%CI 0.95–1.14)during Later Lift.For each time-period,we observed a clear mortality gradient by timing and types of revascularization procedure.In conclusion,the COVID-19 epidemic had a significant adverse impact on STEMI in-hospital mortality,with bimodal peaks during early lockdown and early lift periods and clear mortality gradients by timing and types of revascularization procedure,independent of the time periods.Jianping Li Nan Zhang Ziyi Zhou Xiao Huang Weiyi Fang Hongbing Yan Jiyan Chen Weimin Wang Dingcheng Xiang Xi Su Bo Yu Yan Wang Yawei Xu Lefeng Wang Chunjie Li Kai Huang Xiaobin Wang Yong Huo Junbo Ge 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,9:0
