2How Chinese Financial Centers Integrate into Global Financial Center Networks:An Empirical Study Based on Overseas Expansion of Chinese Financial Service Firms显示文摘The increasing globalization of the Chinese economy has been enabled by both Chinese financial institutions operating globally as well as international firms operating within China. In geographical terms, this has been organized through a number of strategic cities serving as gateways for the exchange of financial functions, products and practices between China and the global economy. Drawing on location data of financial service firms in China listed on stock exchanges in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hong Kong, this paper shows that Chinese financial firms are expanding globally and how Chinese financial centers are positioned and connected in the urban networks shaped by these financial service firms. It is found that Hong Kong, China, holds strategic positions in the integration of Chinese cities into global financial center networks, and that establishing a foothold in global financial centers such as New York and London has been a priority for Chinese financial institutions. 32018 update of expert consensus statement on antiplatelet therapy in East Asian patients with ACS or undergoing PCI显示文摘East Asians are the most populous race in the world and their health status is an important global issue.Compared with Caucasian populations, East Asian patients have a different benefit/risk ratio when using antithrombotic treatment. Despite this observation, treatment strategies in East Asian patients are mostly based on the American and European guidelines. Despite a lower platelet inhibitory response to clopidogrel, East Asian patients show a similar or even a lower rate of ischemic event occurrence and higher bleeding risk compared with Caucasian patients. For potent P2Y_(12) inhibitors(ticagrelor and prasugrel),East Asian patients have shown less favorable net clinical benefits compared with Caucasian patients,which may be related to differences in pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic profiles and therapeutic zone of antiplatelet effect. This updated consensus mainly focuses on state-of-the-art and current controversies in the East Asian population. 5Biogeographic distribution patterns of algal community in different urban lakes in China: Insights into the dynamics and co-existence显示文摘Urban lake ecosystems are significant for social development,but currently we know little about the geographical distribution of algal community in urban lakes at a large-scale.In this study,we investigated the algal community structure in different areas of urban lakes in China and evaluated the influence of water quality parameters and geographical location on the algal community.The results showed that obvious differences in water quality and algal communities were observed among urban lakes in different geographical areas.Chlorophyta was the dominant phylum,followed by cyanobacteria in all areas.The network analysis indicated that algal community composition in urban lakes of the western and southern area showed more variations than the eastern and northern areas,respectively.Redundancy analysis and structural equation model revealed that nutrients and p H were dominant environmental factors that affected the algal community,and they showed higher influence than that of iron,manganese and COD Mn concentration.Importantly,algal community and density exhibited longitude and latitude relationship.In general,these results provided an ecological insight into large-scale geographical distributions of algal community in urban lakes,thereby having potential applications for management of the lakes.Haihan Zhang Rongrong Zong Huiyan He Kaiwen Liu Miaomiao Yan Yutian Miao Ben Ma Xin Huang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,2:9

7Mechanism of acupuncture regulating visceral sensation and mobility显示文摘Chinese ancient medical scientists have long focused on the internal and external contacts between acupoints on the surface of the body and the viscera.The Miraculous Pivot(it is one of the earliest medical classics in China)stated,“Twelve regular channels belong to the zang-fu organs internally,and connect to the extremities and joints externally.”Traditional Chinese medicine considers acupoints as defined areas where the Qi of viscera and meridians are transfused.These include the reaction points of visceral diseases on the body surface as well as the acupuncture trigger points that promote the flow of Qi and blood,and regulate visceral function.Chinese ancient medical scientists classified the specificity of the main acupoints in the body based on the meridian doctrine,which has been instructing clinical application for about 2000 years.Laws on the domino effect of acupoints have mainly focused on conclusions to clinical experiences.Indications of some acupoints exceed the practical paradigm since the excessive extension occurred during theory derivation.The current research direction on acupuncture focuses on three aspects:the effectiveness of acupuncture and moxibustion;the relevances and associations between meridians and viscera;and the physical and chemical properties and relevant physical basis of acupoints.The relevance between meridians and viscera is the central theory in the meridian doctrine,and acupoints are regarded as an important link in the relationship between meridians and viscera.Specific relationships between acupoints and target organs exist.Stimulating different acupoints on the body surface can help deal with different diseases,especially visceral diseases.In addition,acupoints have a dual function of reflecting and treating visceral diseases.There is no systemic research available on acupoint specificity,despite current knowledge and clinical experiences,which results in a weak foundation for acupuncture theory.This study focuses on the relevance and associations between meridians and viscera.A summary of the mechanisms of acupuncture regulating visceral sensation and mobility and the specific relationships between acupoints and their target organs are presented in this review.Peijing Rong Bing Zhu Yuqing Li Xinyan Gao Hui Ben Yanhua Li Liang Li Wei He Rupeng Liu Lingling Yu 2011Frontiers of Medicine2011,5,2:8
8Capacity and failure mechanism of laterally loaded jet-grouting reinforced piles: Field and numerical investigation显示文摘This study presents the results of field and numerical investigations of lateral stiffness, capacity, and failure mechanisms for plain piles and reinforced concrete piles in soft clay. A plastic-damage model is used to simulate concrete piles and jet-grouting in the numerical analyses. The field study and numerical investigations show that by applying jet-grouting surrounding the upper 7.5D(D = pile diameter) of a pile, lateral stiffness and bearing capacity of the pile are increased by about 110% and 100%, respectively. This is partially because the jet-grouting increases the apparent diameter of the pile, so as to enlarge the extent of failure wedge and hence passive resistance in front of the reinforced pile. Moreover, the jet-grouting provides a circumferential confinement to the concrete pile, which suppresses development of tensile stress in the pile. Correspondingly, tension-induced plastic damage in the concrete pile is reduced, causing less degradation of stiffness and strength of the pile than that of a plain pile. Effectiveness of the circumferential confinement provided by the jet-grouting, however, diminishes once the grouting cracks because of the significant vertical and circumferential tensile stress near its mid-depth. 12The desumoylating enzyme sentrin-specific protease 3 contributes to myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury显示文摘Sentrin-specific protease 3(SENP3), a member of the desumoylating enzyme family, is known as a redox sensor and could regulate multiple cellular signaling pathways. However, its implication in myocardial ischemia reperfusion(MIR) injury is unclear. Here, we observed that SENP3 was expressed and upregulated in the mouse heart depending on reactive oxygen species(ROS) production in response to MIR injury. By utilizing si RNA-mediated cardiac specific gene silencing, SENP3 knockdown was demonstrated to significantly reduce MIR-induced infarct size and improve cardiac function. Mechanistic studies indicated that SENP3 silencing ameliorated myocardial apoptosis mainly via suppression of endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress and mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis pathways. By contrast, adenovirusmediated cardiac SENP3 overexpression significantly exaggerated MIR injury. Further molecular analysis revealed that SENP3 promoted mitochondrial translocation of dynamin-related protein 1(Drp1) in reperfused myocardium. In addition, mitochondrial division inhibitor-1(Mdivi-1), a pharmacological inhibitor of Drp1, significantly attenuated the exaggerated mitochondrial abnormality and cardiac injury by SENP3 overexpression after MIR injury. 14Meteorin-β/Meteorin like/IL-41 attenuates airway inflammation in house dust mite-induced allergic asthma显示文摘We sought to examine the regulatory effect of Meteorin-β(Metrnβ)/Meteorin like(Metrnl)/IL-41 on lung inflammation in allergic asthma.We found that Metrnβwas elevated significantly in asthmatic patients and in mice with allergic asthma induced by house dust mite(HDM)extract.Upon exposure to HDM,Metrnβwas secreted predominantly by airway epithelial cells and inflammatory cells,including macrophages and eosinophils.The increased Metrnβeffectively blocked the development of airway hyperreactivity(AHR)and decreased inflammatory cell airway infiltration and type 2 cytokine production,which was associated with downregulated DC-mediated adaptive immune responses.Moreover,Metrnβimpaired the maturation and function of bone marrow-derived dendritic cells in vitro.Asthmatic mice adoptively transferred with dendritic cells isolated from Metrnβ-treated allergic mice displayed decreased AHR,airway inflammation,and lung injury.Metrnβalso displayed anti-inflammatory properties in immunodeficient SCID mice with allergic asthma and in in vitro 3D ALI airway models.Moreover,blockade of Metrnβby anti-Metrnβantibody treatment promoted the development of allergic asthma.These results revealed the unappreciated protective roles of Metrnβin alleviating DC-mediated Th2 inflammation in allergic asthma,providing the novel treatment strategy of therapeutic targeting of Metrnβin allergic asthma.Xun Gao Ting-Fan Leung Gary Wing-Kin Wong Wing-Hung Ko Mengyun Cai Ellie Jiayi He Ida Miu-Ting Chu Miranda Sin-Man Tsang Ben Chung-Lap Chan Jiawei Ling Xiao Fan Liwei Lu Christopher Wai-Kei Lam Chun-Kwok Wong 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,2:5

16Optimization of broadband omnidirectional antireflection coatings for solar cells显示文摘Broadband and omnidirectional antireflection coating is generally an effective way to improve solar cell efficiency, because the destructive interference between the reflected and incident light can maximize the light transmission into the absorption layer. In this paper, we report the incident quantum efficiency ηin, not incident energy or power, as the evaluation function by the ant colony algorithm optimization method, which is a swarm-based optimization method. Also, SPCTRL2 is proposed to be incorporated for accurate optimization because the solar irradiance on a receiver plane is dependent on position, season, and time. Cities of Quito, Beijing and Moscow are selected for two-and three-layer antireflective coating optimization over λ = [300,1100] nm and θ = [0°, 90°]. 17Long noncoding RNA UC.98 stabilizes atherosclerotic plaques by promoting the proliferation and adhesive capacity in murine aortic endothelial cells显示文摘Pathological studies have shown that the vulnerability of plaques affects outcomes in patients with atherosclerosis(AS),a chronic inflammatory disease and common cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide.Although emerging technologies have enabled early diagnosis of AS with high-risk vulnerable plaques,more accurate and noninvasive diagnostic methods are urgently required.To this end,molecules involved in genetic or epigenetic regulation of the vulnerability of atherosclerotic plaques have been extensively studied.Here,we evaluated long noncoding RNA(IncRNA)variability by microarray assay in murine aortic endothelial cells(MAECs)bearing wulnerable plaques and identified the novel functional IncRNA UC.98,whose expression pattern was associated with the vulnerability of atherosclerotic plaques.Consisient with this,clinical statistics comparing the peripheral blood specimens from sets of patients with AS with or without vulnerable plaques confirmed the linear relationship between the expression pattern of UC.98 and plaque instabilty.Moreover,MTT assays and western blot analysis showed that silencing of intrinsic UC 98 in MAECs not only suppressed cell proliferation but also decreased the expressions of vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 and intercellular adhesion molecule-1,thereby inactivating the nuclear factorkB pathway.In conclusion,our results highlighted the pivotal role of UC.98 in regulating the vulnerability of plaques during AS progression and suggested that UC.98 may be a biomarker of the early diagnosis and prognosis of AS with vulnerable plaques and a potential therapeutic target for slowing AS progression.Zixu Fan Ying Zhang Danrui Xiao Jianwei Ma Hua Liu Linghong Shen Min Zhang Ben He 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,2:3
18Efficacy and safety of drug-eluting stent implantation for the treatment of in-stent restenosis occurring within bare-metal stent and drug-eluting stent显示文摘Objective:Although drug-eluting stent(DES) implantation is the primary treatment modality for bare-metal stent(BMS) in-stent restenosis(ISR),little is known about the efficacy and safety profile of DES in the treatment of DES-ISR.The goal of this study was to compare the clinical outcomes following DES treatment for BMS-ISR and DES-ISR.Methods:Rates of major adverse cardiac events(MACE) were compared in 97 consecutive patients who underwent DES implantation for the treatment of ISR(56 BMS-ISR and 41 DES-ISR) from January 2004 to December 2008.Results:Baseline clinical and procedural characteristics were comparable,except that the DES used in the BMS-ISR group was longer and had a larger diameter.The length of follow-up was(28.60±1.96) and(20.34±1.54) months for the BMS-ISR and DES-ISR groups,respectively.One patient(1.8%) experienced non-cardiac mortality and one(1.8%) had target-vessel revascularization(TVR) in the BMS-ISR group.In the DES-ISR group,three patients(7.3%) died of sudden death with a documented acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction,and three suffered TVR(7.3%).Kaplan-Meier analysis indicated that cumulative survival probability and MACE-free probability were both significantly lower for the DES-ISR group(log rank test P=0.047 and P=0.005,respectively).In Cox regression analysis,DES-ISR remained an independent predictor for future MACE occurrence after adjustment for other factors(compared with BMS-ISR,risk ratio(RR)=8.743,95% confidence interval(CI) 1.54-49.54,P=0.014).Switching to a different type of DES to treat DES-ISR did not improve the prognosis.Conclusion:DES-ISR patients had a poorer prognosis than BMS-ISR patients after DES therapy.Heng GE Qing ZHANG WeiZHOU Qing HE Zhi-hua HAN Ben HE 2010Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2010,11,8:3
193D uniform nitrogen-doped carbon skeleton for ultra-stable sodium metal anode显示文摘Sodium metal batteries are arousing extensive interest owing to their high energy density,low cost and wide resource.However,the practical development of sodium metal batteries is inherently plagued by the severe volume expansion and the dendrite growth of sodium metal anode during long cycles under high current density.Herein,a simple electrospinning method is applied to construct the uniformly nitrogen-doped porous carbon fiber skeleton and used as three-dimensional(3D)current collector for sodium metal anode,which has high specific surface area(1,098 m^2/g)and strong binding to sodium metal.As a result,nitrogen-doped carbon fiber current collector shows a low sodium deposition overpotential and a highly stable cyclability for 3,500 h with a high coulombic effciency of 99.9%at 2 mA/cm^2 and 2 mAh/cm^2.Moreover,the full cells using carbon coated sodium vanadium phosphate as cathode and sodium pre-plated nitrogen-doped carbon fiber skeleton as hybrid anode can stably cycle for 300 times.These results illustrate an effective strategy to construct a 3D uniformly nitrogen-doped carbon skeleton based sodium metal hybrid anode without the formation of dendrites,which provide a prospect for further development and research of high performance sodium metal batteries.Ben Liu Danni Lei Jin Wang Qingfei Zhang Yinggan Zhang Wei He Hongfei Zheng Baisheng Sa Qingshui Xie Dong-Liang Peng Baihua Qu 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:3
20Increased Expression of Colonic Mucosal Melatonin in Patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome Correlated with Gut Dysbiosis显示文摘Dysregulation of the gut microbiota/gut hormone axis contributes to the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).Melatonin plays a beneficial role in gut motility and immunity.However,altered expression of local mucosal melatonin in IBS and its relationship with the gut microbiota remain unclear.Therefore,we aimed to detect the colonic melatonin levels and microbiota profiles in patients with diarrhea-predominant IBS(IBS-D)and explore their relationship in germ-free(GF)rats and BON-1 cells.Thirty-two IBS-D patients and twenty-eight healthy controls(HCs)were recruited.Fecal specimens from IBS-D patients and HCs were separately transplanted into GF rats by gavage.The levels of colon mucosal melatonin were assessed by immunohistochemical methods,and fecal microbiota communities were analyzed using 16S rDNA sequencing.The effect of butyrate on melatonin synthesis in BON-1 cells was evaluated by ELISA.Melatonin levels were significantly increased and negatively correlated with visceral hypersensitivity in IBS-D patients.GF rats inoculated with fecal microbiota from IBS-D patients had high colonic melatonin levels.Butyrate-producing Clostridium cluster XIVa species,such as Roseburia species and Lachnospira species,were positively related to colonic mucosal melatonin expression.Butyrate significantly increased melatonin secretion in BON-1 cells.Increased melatonin expression may be an adaptive protective mechanism in the development of IBS-D.Moreover,some Clostridium cluster XIVa species could increase melatonin expression via butyrate production.Modulation of the gut hormone/gut microbiota axis offers a promising target of interest for IBS in the future.Ben Wang Shiwei Zhu Zuojing Liu Hui Wei Lu Zhang Meibo He Fei Pei Jindong Zhang Qinghua Sun Liping Duan 2020Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,6:2
