1Indirect mineral carbonation of titanium-bearing blast furnace slag coupled with recovery of TiO_2 and Al_2O_3显示文摘Large quantities of CO_2 and blast furnace slag are discharged in the iron and steel industry. Mineral carbonation of blast furnace slag can offer substantial CO_2 emission reduction and comprehensive utilization of the solid waste.This paper describes a novel route for indirect mineral carbonation of titanium-bearing blast furnace(TBBF) slag,in which the TBBF slag is roasted with recyclable(NH_4)_2SO_4(AS) at low temperatures and converted into the sulphates of various valuable metals, including calcium, magnesium, aluminium and titanium. High value added Ti-and Al-rich products can be obtained through stepwise precipitation of the leaching solution from the roasted slag. The NH_3 produced during the roasting is used to capture CO_2 from flue gases. The NH_4HCO_3 and(NH_4)_2CO_3 thus obtained are used to carbonate the CaSO_4-containing leaching residue and MgSO_4-rich leaching solution, respectively. In this study, the process parameters and efficiency for the roasting, carbonation and Ti and Al recovery were investigated in detail. The results showed that the sulfation ratios of calcium,magnesium, titanium and aluminium reached 92.6%, 87% and 84.4%, respectively, after roasting at an AS-to-TBBF slag mass ratio of 2:1 and 350 °C for 2 h. The leaching solution was subjected to hydrolysis at 102 °C for 4 h with a Ti hydrolysis ratio of 95.7% and the purity of TiO_2 in the calcined hydrolysate reached 98 wt%.99.7% of aluminium in the Ti-depleted leaching solution was precipitated by using NH_3. The carbonation products of Ca and Mg were CaCO_3 and(NH_4)_2 Mg(CO_3)_2·4H_2O, respectively. The latter can be decomposed into MgCO_3 at 100–200 °C with simultaneous recovery of the NH_3 for reuse. In this process, approximately 82.1% of Ca and 84.2%of Mg in the TBBF slag were transformed into stable carbonates and the total CO_2 sequestration capacity per ton of TBBF slag reached up to 239.7 kg. 2Highly efficient solution-processed CZTSSe solar cells based on a convenient sodium-incorporated post-treatment method显示文摘In CZTSSe solar cells,a simple sodium-incorporation post-treatment method toward solution-processed Cu2Zn Sn S4precursor films is presented in this work.An ultrathin NaCl film is deposited on Cu2Zn Sn S4precursor films by spin-coating NaCl solution.In subsequent selenization process,the introduction of Na Cl is found to be benefacial for the formation of Cu2-xSe,which can further facilitate the element transportation,leading to dense and smooth CZTSSe films with large grains and less impurity Cu2Sn(S,Se)3phase.SIMS depth profiles confirm the gradient distribution of the sodium element in Na-doped absorbers.Photoluminescence spectra show that the introduction of appropriate sodium into the absorber can inhibit the band tail states.As high as 11.18% of power conversion efficiency(PCE)is achieved for the device treated with 5 mg mL^-1 NaCl solution,and an average efficiency of Na-doped devices is 10.71%,13%higher than that of the control groups(9.45%).Besides,the depletion width and the charge recombination lifetime can also have regular variation with sodium treatment.This work offers an easy modification method for high-quality Na-doped CZTSSe films and high-performance devices,in the meantime,it can also help to further understand the effects of sodium in CZTSSe solar cells.Biwen Duan Linbao Guo Qing Yu Jiangjian Shi Huijue Wu Yanhong Luo Dongmei Li Sixin Wu Zhi Zheng Qingbo Meng 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,1:8
3Working-memory training improves developmental dyslexia in Chinese children显示文摘Although plasticity in the neural system underlies working memory, and working memory can be improved by training, there is thus far no evidence that children with developmental dyslexia can benefit from working-memory training. In the present study, thirty dyslexic children aged 8-11 years were recruited from an elementary school in Wuhan, China. They received working-memory training, including training in visuospatial memory, verbal memory, and central executive tasks. The difficulty of the tasks was adjusted based on the performance of each subject, and the training sessions lasted 40 minutes per day, for 5 weeks. The results showed that working-memory training significantly enhanced performance on the nontrained working memory tasks such as the visuospatial, the verbal domains, and central executive tasks in children with developmental dyslexia. More importantly, the visual rhyming task and reading fluency task were also significantly improved by training. Progress on working memory measures was related to changes in reading skills. 4Simultaneous preparation of TiO2 and ammonium alum,and microporous SiO2 during the mineral carbonation of titanium-bearing blast furnace slag显示文摘In this study,a route for simultaneous mineralization of CO2 and production of titanium dioxide and ammonium alum,and microporous silicon dioxide from titanium-bearing blast furnace slag(TBBF slag)was proposed,which is comprised of(NH4)2 S04 roasting,acid leaching,ammonium alum crystallization,silicic acid flocculation and Ti hydrolysis.The effects of relevant process parameters were systematically investigated.The re sults showed that under the optimal roasting and leaching conditions about 85%of titanium and 84.6%of aluminum could be extracted while only 30%of silicon entered the leachate.84%of Al^3+was crystallized from the leachate in the form of ammonium aluminum sulfate dodecahydrate with a purity up to 99.5 wt%.About 85%of the soluble silicic acid was flocculated with the aid of secondary alcohol polyoxyethylene ether 9(AEO-9)to yield a microporous SiO2 material(97.4 wt%)from the crystallized mother liquor.The Al-and Si-depleted solution was then hydrolyzed to generate a titanium dioxide(99.1 wt%)with uniform particle size distribution.It was figured out that approximately 146 kg TiO2 could be produced from 1000 kg of TBBF slag.Therefore,the improved process is a promising method for industrial application.Yingjie Xiong Tahani Aldahri Weizao Liu Guanrun Chu Guoquan Zhang Dongmei Luo Hairong Yue Bin Liang Chun Li 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,9:7
5Secreted Frizzled-Related Protein 5 (SFRP5) in Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea显示文摘Objective Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is closely related to obesity, insulin resistance and inflammation. Secreted frizzled-related protein 5 (SFRP5) is a recently discovered adipokine. It is involved in insulin resistance and inflammation in obesity. This study aimed at evaluating the association between SFRP5and sleeping characteristics as well as biochemical parameters of OSA patients.Methods This was a prospective case control study. Nondiabetic OSA patients and controls were consecutively recruited and divided into three groups: OSA group, apnea–hypopnea Index (AHI)≥5/h; healthy controls with normal body mass index (BMI); obese controls without OSA, and BMI > 24.0 kg/m2. All participants underwent polysomnography (PSG). Plasma SFRP5 was examined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Blood biochemical examinations, including fasting blood glucose (FBG), lipid profile, hypersensitive Creactive protein (hsCRP), were performed early in the morning after PSG. Patients with severe OSA were treated with nasal continuous positive airway pressure (nCPAP), and plasma SFRP5 was repeatedly measured for comparison.Results Sixty-eight subjects were enrolled in the study, including 38 patients of OSA, whose medium AHI was 58.70 /h (36.63, 71.15), 20 obese controls, and 10 healthy controls. The plasma SFRP5 level of OSA patients was not significantly different from that of healthy controls or obese controls. In OSA patients, SFRP5 level correlated positively with triglyceride level (r=0.447, P=0.005) and negatively with LDL-cholesterol level and HDLcholesterol level (r=?0.472 and P=0.003; r=?0.478 and P=0.002; respectively). SFRP5 level was not found correlating with FBG, AHI, or any of nocturnal hypoxia parameters. After overnight nCPAP treatment, plasma SFRP5 levels of OSA patients did not change significantly (t=1.557, P = 0.148) compared to that of pretreatment.Conclusions In nondiabetic OSA patients, plasma SFRP5 is associated with the lipid profile. However,no correlation was observed between SFRP5 and FBG or sleep parameters. 6Porphyromonas gingivalis infection promotes mitochondrial dysfunction through Drp1-dependent mitochondrial fission in endothelial cells显示文摘Porphyromonas gingivalis(P.gingivalis),a key pathogen in periodontitis,has been shown to accelerate the progression of atherosclerosis(AS).However,the definite mechanisms remain elusive.Emerging evidence supports an association between mitochondrial dysfunction and AS.In our study,the impact of P.gingivalis on mitochondrial dysfunction and the potential mechanism were investigated.The mitochondrial morphology of EA.hy926 cells infected with P.gingivalis was assessed by transmission electron microscopy,mitochondrial staining,and quantitative analysis of the mitochondrial network.Fluorescence staining and flow cytometry analysis were performed to determine mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(mtROS)and mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP)levels.Cellular ATP production was examined by a luminescence assay kit.The expression of key fusion and fission proteins was evaluated by western blot and immunofluorescence.Mdivi-1,a specific Drp1 inhibitor,was used to elucidate the role of Drp1 in mitochondrial dysfunction.Our findings showed that P.gingivalis infection induced mitochondrial fragmentation,increased the mtROS levels,and decreased the MMP and ATP concentration in vascular endothelial cells.We observed upregulation of Drp1(Ser616)phosphorylation and translocation of Drp1 to mitochondria.Mdivi-1 blocked the mitochondrial fragmentation and dysfunction induced by P.gingivalis.Collectively,these results revealed that P.gingivalis infection promoted mitochondrial fragmentation and dysfunction,which was dependent on Drp1.Mitochondrial dysfunction may represent the mechanism by which P.gingivalis exacerbates atherosclerotic lesions.Tong Xu Qin Dong Yuxiao Luo Yanqing Liu Liang Gao Yaping Pan Dongmei Zhang 2021International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,3:7

8Inorganic–organic halide perovskites for new photovoltaic technology显示文摘Perovskite solar cells(PSCs) have received worldwide attention due to excellent power-to-electricity conversion efficiency(PCE). Currently, a PCE record of as high as 22.1% has been achieved, comparative to those of copper indium gallium selenide and Cd Te solar cells. However, there are still some critical issues to solve, especially the stability issue at the current state, in order to promote PSC commercialization. In this respect, various device architectures and the working principle are briefly introduced. Then, key features of inorganic–organic hybrid perovskites and related film deposition methods are discussed.Typically, experimental and theoretical efforts to reveal the physical issues of the device are emphasized as well as the cell stability. 10Oxidation of NO over cobalt oxide supported on mesoporous silica显示文摘Cobalt oxide catalysts supported on mesoporous silica(Co3O4 /MPS) were prepared,characterized and applied for catalytic oxidation of NO. Effects of catalyst supports,calcination temperatures,H2O and SO2 on NO conversion were investigated. The samples were also characterized by BET,XRD,FTIR and TG/DTG. The results suggested that Co3O4 /MPS catalyst calcined at 573 K had the smallest crystal particles and the best surface dispersion. This catalyst had the highest activity and yielded 82% NO conversion at 573 K,at a space velocity of 12000 h 1 . Although the conversion of NO decreased with the introduction of H2O,it could be restored completely after removing residual H2O from Co3O4 /MPS catalyst by heating at 573 K. In the presence of SO2,the oxidation activity decreased and CoSO 4 was detected on the catalyst. The NO conversion decreased to 30.2% in the presence of SO2 and H2O. It could not be restored completely after cutting off H2O and SO2 . 11Interleukin-12 and interferon-γacting on damp-heat of spleen-stomach syndrome triggered by helicobacter pylori显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the expression of and interleukin-12(IL-12) and interferon-γ(IFN-γ) in relation to the pathology of damp-heat of spleen-stomach syndrome(DHSS) induced by Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) infection.METHODS: In total, 114 individual gastric mucosal specimens including 83 DHSS, 19 spleen-qi deficiency syndrome(SQD) and 12 from healthy volunteers(CON) were collected by gastroscopy. To explore the relationship between the two syndromes and H. pylori infection, individual samples were tested using rapid urease and methylene blue tests. Hematoxylin and eosin stained sections were examined to grade for the degree of inflammation and inflammatory activity, and expression of IL-12 and IFN-γ was investigated by immunohistochemistry.RESULTS: Statistically significant differences in the degree of inflammation and inflammatory activity were observed between the groups of specimens:DHSS, SQD and CON(P < 0.05). Additionally, greater intestinal metaplasia(IM) and dysplasia were observed in the DHSS group, especially those with H.pylori infection. Expression of both IFN-γ and IL-12 was higher in DHSS samples infected with H. pylori than in uninfected samples and in the CON(P <0.05) but not in the SQD(P > 0.05) groups. Intriguingly, in gastric specimens exhibiting IM and dysplasia, IL-12 translocated from the nucleus into the cytoplasm.CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that IL-12 and IFN-γ are involved in DHSS pathology, but not in SQD, acting as healthy-Qi. 14Influence of Cr^(3+) concentration on the electrochemical behavior of the anolyte for vanadium redox flow batteries显示文摘The composition of electrolyte affects to a great extent the electrochemical performance of vanadium redox flow batteries(VRB).The effects of Cr3+ concentration in the anolyte on the electrode process of V(V)/V(IV) couple have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry(CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).It was found that Cr3+ causes no side reactions,but affects the electrochemical performance of V(V)/V(IV) redox reaction,including the reaction activity,the reversibility of electrode reaction,the diffusivity of vanadium ions,the interface film impedance,and the electrode reaction impedance.The experimental results show that Cr3+ within a certain concentration range can improve the reversibility of electrode reaction and the diffusion of vanadium ions.With the Cr3+ concentration increasing from 0 to 0.30 g L-1,the reversibility of V(V)/V(IV) reaction increases,while the diffusion resistance decreases.Correspondingly,the diffusion coefficient of vanadium ions increases from(5.48-6.77) × 10-7 to(6.82-8.44) × 10-7 cm2 s-1,an increase of ~24%.However,the diffusion resistance increases and the diffusion coefficient decreases when Cr3+ concentration is over 0.30 g L-1,while the impedances of the interface,the film as well as the charge transfer increase continuously.As a result,Cr3+ with a certain concentration improves the diffusion and mass transfer process,but the resistances of the film,the interface,and the charge transfer rise.Furthermore,Cr3+ concentration of no more than 0.10 g L-1 has few effect on the electrode reaction process,and that of no more than 0.30 g L-1 is favorable to the diffusion of vanadium ions.HUANG Fei ZHAO Qiang LUO ChunHui WANG GuiXin YAN KangPing LUO DongMei 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,32:4
15A donepezil/cyclodextrin complexation orodispersible film: Effect of cyclodextrin on taste-masking based on dynamic process and in vivo drug absorption显示文摘The aim of this study was to develop a palatable donepezil(DP) orodispersible film(ODF)to facilitate the swallowing process and investigate the effect of cyclodextrin on tastemasking based on dynamic process and in vivo drug absorption. Complexation of DP with hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin(HP-β-CD) was applied to mask the bitter taste then the prepared complexes were incorporated into ODF using solvent casting method. The tastemasking efficiency was evaluated by e-tongue; meanwhile the pharmacokinetic behavior of DP/HP-β-CD ODF was investigated by in vivo study. Results showed the optimized film was more palatable than donepezil hydrochloride(DH) film and was bioequivalent with DH. The molecular mechanism was revealed by phase solubility study, Fourier-transform infrared spectrometer(FT-IR), Differential scanning calorimeter(DSC), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and molecular modeling. Taste-masking was attributed to the formation of DP/HP-β-CD which was due to moderate interaction between DP and HP-β-CD. The stability of DP/HP-β-CD was decreased because of the acid environment in stomach, which facilitated the absorption of DP. 17以胶原-海藻酸钠纤维凝胶为原料的具有潜在组织工程应用的仿生支架材料的制备与评价显示文摘三维支架的孔结构和在细胞培养时稳定的性能在组织工程应用中非常重要。在这次研究中,将不同比例的海藻酸钠与胶原复合,在体外形成胶原原纤维分别得到复合凝胶,冻干,再化学交联,制备胶原-海藻酸钠复合支架。系统研究了海藻酸钠含量和交联处理对复合支架的孔结构、溶胀行为、酶降解和拉伸性能的影响。相关结果表明,现用的方法简单但能有效地制备高连通性的强韧的具有纳米纤维表层的仿生三维支架材料。NIH3T3细胞作为模型细胞,通过在交联支架材料内细胞增殖和浸润来评估细胞相容性、纳米纤维表层的依附性和多孔结构的稳定性。与机械性能最弱的交联的胶原海绵对比,该细胞培养的复合支架呈现出良好的多孔结构,因此,细胞可以在三维复合支架最表层增殖,也可以浸润到其内部。这些复合支架材料的孔径为150~300μm,孔隙率大于90%,拥有可调的良好生物降解能力和吸水性能,在组织工程学应用中很有前景。Lin Sang Dongmei Luo Songmei Xu 刘郁倩(编译) 2014西部皮革2014,36,6:2
18Recovery of titanium,aluminum,magnesium and separating silicon from titanium-bearing blast furnace slag by sulfuric acid curing-leaching显示文摘An energy-efficient route was adopted to treat titanium-bearing blast furnace slag(TBBFS)in this study.Titanium,aluminum,and magnesium were simultaneously extracted and silicon was separated by low temperature sulfuric acid curing and low concentration sulfuric acid leaching.The process parameters of sulfuric acid curing TBBFS were systematically studied.Under the optimal conditions,the recovery of titanium,aluminum,and magnesium reached 85.96%,81.17%,and 93.82%,respectively.The rapid leaching model was used to limit the dissolution and polymerization of silicon,and the dissolution of silicon was only 3.18%.The mechanism of sulfuric acid curing-leaching was investigated.During the curing process,the reaction occurred rapidly and released heat massively.Under the attack of hydrogen ions,the structure of TBBFS was destroyed,silicate was depolymerized to form filterable silica,and titanium,magnesium,aluminum,and calcium ions were replaced to form sulfates and enriched on the surface of silica particles.Titanium,aluminum,and magnesium were recovered in the leaching solution,and calcium sulfate and silica were enriched in the residue after leaching.This method could effectively avoid the formation of silica sol during the leaching process and accelerate the solid-liquid separation.Long Wang Liang Chen Weizao Liu Guoquan Zhang Shengwei Tang Hairong Yue Bin Liang Dongmei Luo 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,9:2
19Process simulation and energy integration in the mineral carbonation of blast furnace slag显示文摘Large quantities of blast furnace(BF) slag and CO_2 are discharged annually from iron and steel industries, along with a large amount of waste heat.The mineral carbonation of BF slag can not only reduce emissions of solid waste but also realize the in-situ fixation of CO_2 with low energy consumption if integrated with the waste heat utilization.In this study, based on our previous works, Aspen Plus was employed to simulate and optimize the carbonation process and integrate the process energy.The effects of gehlenite extraction, MgSO_4 carbonation,and aluminum ammonium sulfate crystallization were studied systematically.The simulation results demonstrate that 2.57 kg of BF slag can sequester 1 kg of CO_2, requiring 5.34 MJ of energy(3.3 MJ heat and 2.04 MJ electricity), and this energy includes the capture of CO_2 from industrial flue gases.Approximately 60 kg net CO_2 emission reduction could be achieved for the disposal of one ton of BF slag.In addition, the by-product,aluminum ammonium sulfate, is a high value-added product.Preliminary economic analysis indicates that the profit for the whole process is 1127 CNY per ton of BF slag processed.Jianqiu Gao Chun Li Weizao Liu Jinpeng Hu Lin Wang Qiang Liu Bin Liang Hairong Yue Guoquan Zhang Dongmei Luo Siyang Tang 2019Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,1:2
