1Chinese progress in geomorphometry显示文摘Geomorphometry,the science of digital terrain analysis(DTA),is an important focus of research in both geomorphology and geographical information science(GIS).Given that 70% of China is mountainous,geomorphological research is popular among Chinese scholars,and the development of GIS over the last 30 years has led to significant advances in geomorphometric research.In this paper,we review Chinese progress in geomorphometry based on the published literature.There are three major areas of progress:digital terrain modelling methods,DTA methods,and applications of digital terrain models(DTMs).First,traditional vector-and raster-based terrain modelling methods,including the assessment of uncertainty,have received widespread attention.New terrain modelling methods such as unified raster and vector,high-fidelity,and real-time dynamic geographical scene modelling have also attracted research attention and are now a major focus of digital terrain modelling research.Second,in addition to the popular DTA methods based on topographical derivatives,geomorphological features,and hydrological factors extracted from DTMs,DTA methods have been extended to include analyses of the structure of underlying strata,ocean surface features and even socioeconomic spatial structures.Third,DTMs have been applied to fields including global climate change,analysis of various typical regions,lunar surface and other related fields.Clearly,Chinese scholars have made significant progress in geomorphometry.Chinese scholars have had the greatest international impact in areas including high-fidelity digital terrain modelling and DTM-based regional geomorphological analysis,particularly in the Loess Plateau and the Tibetan Plateau regions.LV Guonian XIONG Liyang CHEN Min TANG Guoan SHENG Yehua LIU Xuejun SONG Zhiyao LU Yuqi YU Zhaoyuan ZHANG Ka WANG Meizhen 2017Journal of Geographical Sciences2017,27,11:14

4Diamond Raman laser:a promising high-beam-quality and low-thermal-effect laser显示文摘Stimulated Raman-scattering-based lasers provide an effective way to achieve wavelength conversion.However,thermally induced beam degradation is a notorious obstacle to power scaling and it also limits the applicable range where high output beam quality is needed.Considerable research efforts have been devoted to developing Raman materials,with diamond being a promising candidate to acquire wavelength-versatile,high-power,and high-quality output beam owing to its excellent thermal properties,high Raman gain coefficient,and wide transmission range.The diamond Raman resonator is usually designed as an external-cavity pumped structure,which can easily eliminate the negative thermal effects of intracavity laser crystals.Diamond Raman converters also provide an approach to improve the beam quality owing to the Raman cleanup effect.This review outlines the research status of diamond Raman lasers,including beam quality optimization,Raman conversion,thermal effects,and prospects for future development directions.Yulan Li Jie Ding Zhenxu Bai Xuezong Yang Yuqi Li Jingling Tang Yu Zhang Yaoyao Qi Yulei Wang Zhiwei Lu 2021High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,3:7
5Removal of PCDD/Fs and PCBs from flue gas using a pilot gas cleaning system显示文摘A 100 Nm3 /hr capacity pilot scale dual bag filter (DBF) system was tested on the flue gas from an actual hazardous waste incinerator (HWI), the removal efficiency of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) was also studied. The first filter collected most of the fly ash and associated chlorinated organic; then activated carbon (AC) was injected and used to collect phase chlorinated organic from the gas. Concentrations of PCDD/Fs and PCBs after the DBF system were 0.07 and 0.01 ng TEQ/Nm3 , respectively, which were both far below the national emission standard. Comparing with the original single bag filter system, the PCDD/Fs concentration dropped a lot from 0.36 to 0.07 ng TEQ/Nm3 . Increasing AC feeding rate enhanced their collection efficiency, yet reduced the AC utilization efficiency, and it still needs further study to select an appropriate feeding rate in the system. 6A strategy of the rural governance for territorial spatial planning in China显示文摘Rural spatial governance has become an important part of the spatial governance system under the unified management of urban and rural spaces.In-depth theoretical and practical research on rural spatial governance in terms of promoting national spatial planning can help improve the planning and regulation system of rural space.Beginning with a description of rural spatial governance,this paper constructs a theoretical analysis framework of rural spatial governance based on the comprehensive perspective of spatial governance.The study also discusses the internal processes and feasible paths of rural spatial governance in territorial spatial planning and outlines the theoretical and practical research for enhancing rural spatial governance.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Rural spatial governance starts with the coordination theory of human-land relationships in the rural regional system.Through planning and negotiation,governance has effective regulation of rural space and allocates spatial rights in an orderly manner.Rural spatial governance highlights the comprehensive governance processes that combine'top-down'and'bottom-up'participation by multiple subjects.(2)Through the'action-efficiency-target'system,the comprehensive governance analysis framework of'matter-organization-ownership'in rural space provides an effective scheme for constructing rural spatial governance.Rural spatial governance is characterized by both rigidity and flexibility,the interaction between physical space and spatial relationships,and the superposition of spatial ownership and spatial organization.(3)The rural spatial governance features of interconnecting various scales(regional–village–plot)are conducive to improving the rural spatial governance system.(4)The governance means,participation modes,and value-sharing mechanisms of rural spatial governance help enrich the territorial spatial planning system,promote the integration of multiple regulations,refine the regulation of land use,and ensure good rural governance and ecological governance.GE Dazhuan LU Yuqi 2021Journal of Geographical Sciences2021,31,9:5
7Solvent-free nanocasting toward universal synthesis of ordered mesoporous transition metal sulfide@N-doped carbon composites for electrochemical applications显示文摘Transition metal sulfides (TMSs) have a wide range of applications owing to their intriguing properties.Significant efforts have been devoted to nanostructuring TMSs to enhance their properties and performance,still there is a high need in general synthesis of TMS nanostructures.Herein,for the first time,a simple solvent free reactive nanocasting approach that integrates solid precursor loading,in-situ sulfuration and carbonization into a single heating step is developed for the universal synthesis of ordered mesoporous TMS@N-doped carbon composites (denoted as OM-TMS@NCs) with methionine (Met) and metal chlorides as the precursors and the mesoporous silica (SBA-15) as the hard template.A series of OM-TMS@NCs with a hexagonal mesostructure,ultra-high surface areas (430-754 m2·g-1),large pore volumes (0.85-1.32 cm3·g-1),and unique TMS stoichiometries,including MoS2,Fe7S8,Co9S8,NiS,Cu7S4 and ZnS,are obtained.Two distinct structure configurations,namely,highly dispersed ultrathin TMS nanosheets within NCs and TMS@NC co-nanowire arrays,can be obtained depending on different metals.The structure evolution of the OM-TMS@NCs over the solvent-free nanocasting process is studied in detail for a deep understanding of the synthesis.As demonstrations,these materials are promising for electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction and lithium ion storage with high performances.Jiahui Zhu Zhi Chen Lin Jia Yuqi Lu Xiangru Wei Xiaoning Wang Winston Duo Wu Na Han Yanguang Li Zhangxiong Wu 2019Nano Research2019,12,9:5

9The enhanced corrosion resistance of UMAO coatings on Mg by silane treatment显示文摘The surface silanization was carried out on ultrasonic micro-arc oxidation(UMAO) coatings on pure magnesium using KH550 as silane coupling agent(SCA). The surface morphology, chemical bonds and corrosion resistance of the silane films were investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and electrochemical workstation, respectively. The results showed that hybrid coatings were successfully prepared on pure magnesium by UMAO-Na OH(1 mol/L, 2 mol/L, 3 mol/L)-SCA processing. The organic films with Si–O–Mg bonds are helpful for the reduction of the pores in UMAO coatings. The pores decreased with increasing Na OH concentration. Compared with single UMAO treatment, the corrosion potentials(Ecorr) of magnesium plates with UMAO-Na OH(1 mol/L,2 mol/L, 3 mol/L)-SCA treatment increased by 29 m V, 53 m V and 75 m V, respectively, meanwhile the corrosion current density(Icorr) reduced one to two orders of magnitude. 10Hydrolysis of cellobiose catalyzed by zeolites—the role of acidity and micropore structure显示文摘The roles of acidity and micropore structure of zeolite were studied in the hydrolysis of the model oligosaccharide of cellulose–cellobiose. HZSM-5, HY, HMOR and Hβ zeolites were selected as model catalysts for the hydrolysis of cellobiose. The effect of acidity of zeolite, including the strength, type and location, on its catalytic activity was investigated. The strong Br?nsted acid sites located in micropores are the active sites for the hydrolysis of cellobiose to glucose. 12Transparent,stretchable,temperature-stable and self-healing ionogel-based triboelectric nanogenerator for biomechanical energy collection显示文摘A flexible and stable power supply is essential to the rapid development of wearable electronic devices.In this work,a transparent,flexible,temperature-stable and ionogel electrode-based self-healing triboelectric nanogenerator(IS-TENG)was developed.The ionogel with excellent stretchability(1,012%),high ionic conductivity(0.3 S·m^(−1))and high-temperature stability(temperature range of−77 to 250℃)was used as the electrode of the IS-TENG.The IS-TENG exhibited excellent transparency(92.1%)and stability.The output performance did not decrease when placed in a 60℃oven for 48 h.In addition,the IS-TENG behaved like a stable output in the range of−20 to 60℃.More importantly,the IS-TENG could also achieve self-healing of electrical performance at temperatures between−20 and 60℃and its output can be restored to its original state after healing.When the single-electrode IS-TENG with an area of 3 cm×3 cm was conducted under the working frequency of 1.5 Hz,the output values for open-circuit voltage,short-circuit current,short-circuit transferred charge,and maximum peak power density were 189 V,6.2μA,57 nC,and 2.17 W·m^(−2),respectively.The IS-TENG enables to harvest biomechanical energy,and drive electronic devices.Furthermore,the application of IS-TENGs as self-driven sensors for detecting human behavior was also demonstrated,showing good application prospects in the field of wearable power technology and self-driven sensing.Weiqiang Liao Xiukun Liu Yuqi Li Xu Xu Jinxing Jiang Shaorong Lu Dequan Bao Zhen Wen Xuhui Sun 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:2
13Impact of type 2 diabetes mellitus on short-term and long-term outcomes of patients with esophageal squamous cell cancer undergoing resection: a propensity score analysis显示文摘Background:The association between type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and the risk of esophageal cancer remains unclear.The present study aimed to evaluate the impact of T2DM on short-term outcomes and long-term survival in patients with esophageal squamous cell cancer(ESCC).Methods:The present retrospective study included 862 patients diagnosed with ESCC between January 2001 and December 2010.Among them,280 patients had T2DM.A 1:1 propensity score-matched cohort consisting of 280 patients with and 280 without T2DM was selected from the 862 patients.The associations between T2DM and clinico-pathologic characteristics were assessed using theχ2 or Fisher’s exact test.Survival of ESCC patients with and without T2DM was calculated by using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared by using the Cox regression model between the two groups.Results:The occurrence rate of anastomotic leakage was significantly higher in patients with T2DM than in those without T2DM(P<0.001).In the subgroup with weight loss rate≤5.05%,ESCC patients with T2DM had a signifi-cant longer overall survival than did those without T2DM(P=0.003),whereas in the subgroup with weight loss rate>5.05%,the patients without T2DM showed a longer survival(P=0.001).Univariate and multivariate analysis results showed that T2DM was not an independent prognostic factor for patient survival.Conclusions:Type 2 diabetes mellitus is not an independent prognostic factor in patients with ESCC.However,the combination of T2DM with severe weight loss would be a predictor of poor prognosis.Wang Yao Yuqi Meng Mingjian Lu Wenzhe Fan Jinhua Huang Jiaping Li Zhihua Zhu 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:2

17Using a global reference sample set and a cropland map for area estimation in China显示文摘A technically transparent and freely available reference sample set for validation of global land cover mapping was recently established to assess the accuracies of land cover maps with multiple resolutions.This sample set can be used to estimate areas because of its equal-area hexagon-based sampling design.The capabilities of these sample set-based area estimates for cropland were investigated in this paper.A 30-m cropland map for China was consolidated using three thematic maps(cropland,forest and wetland maps)to reduce confusion between cropland and forest/wetland.We compared three area estimation methods using the sample set and the 30 m cropland map.The methods investigated were:(1)pixel counting from a complete coverage map,(2)direct estimation from reference samples,and(3)model-assisted estimation combining the map with samples.Our results indicated that all three methods produced generally consistent estimates which agreed with cropland area measured from an independent national land use dataset.Areas estimated from the reference sample set were less biased by comparing with a National Land Use Dataset of China(NLUD-C).This study indicates that the reference sample set can be used as an alternative source to estimate areas over large regions.YULe LI XueCao LI CongCong ZHAO YuanYuan NIU ZhenGuo HUANG HuaBing WANG Jie CHENG YuQi LU Hui SI YaLi YU ChaoQing FU HaoHuan GONG Peng 2017Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,2:1

19Graphene oxide coated three-dimensional printed biphasic calcium phosphate scaffold for angiogenic and osteogenic synergy in repairing critical-size bone defect显示文摘The custom-tailored medicine requires a developmental strategy that integrates excellent osteogene-sis with mechanical stability to enhance the reconstruction of the critical-size bone defect(CSBD)and the healing process in weight-bearing bone.We prepared three-dimensional(3D)printed biphasic cal-cium phosphate(BCP)scaffolds composited with nano-graphene oxide(GO).The biological effects of the GO/BCP composite scaffolds could induce the differentiation of rat bone marrow stem cells(BM-SCs)and the migration of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)for bone repair.The proper ratio of GO in the composite scaffold regulated the composites’surface roughness and hydrophilicity to a suitable range for the adhesion and proliferation of BMSCs and HUVECs.Besides,the GO/BCP composite scaffold increased osteogenesis and angiogenesis by activating BMP-2,RUNX-2,Smad1/4,and VEGF.The customized intramedullary nail combined with GO/BCP scaffold was applied to repair CSBD(2.0 cm in length)in a beagle femur model.This fixation strategy was confirmed by finite element analysis.In vivo,the results indicated that the custom-made internal fixation provided sufficient stability in the early stage,ensuring bone healing in a considerable mechanical environment.At 9 months postoperatively,longitudi-nal bony union and blood vessels in osteon were observed in the CSBD area with partial degradation in the 0.3%GO/BCP group.In the three-point bending test,the ultimate load of 0.3%GO/BCP group reached over 50%of the normal femur at 9 months after repair.These results showed a promising application of osteogenic GO/BCP scaffold and custom-made intramedullary nails in repairing CSBD of the beagle femur.This effective strategy could provide an option to treat the clinical CSBD in weight-bearing bones.Yitian Wang Yonghao Wu Yuqi Zhang Xiangfeng Li Li Min Quanle Cao Yi Luo Xiao Yang Minxun Lu Yong Zhou Xiangdong Zhu Chongqi Tu Xingdong Zhang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,14:1
