7Intelligent construction technology of railway engineering in China显示文摘Intelligent construction technology has been widely used in the field of railway engineering.This work first analyzes the connotation,function,and characteristics of intelligent construction of railway engineering(ICRE)and establishes its system structure from three dimensions,namely,life cycle,layers of management,and intelligent function,to deeply understand the development situation of intelligent railway construction in China.Second,seven key technical support systems of ICRE,which include building information modeling(BIM)standard system for China’s railway sector,technology management platform and life cycle management based on BIM-hGIS(geography information system),ubiquitous intelligent perception system,intelligent Intemet-of-Things(IoT)communication system based on mobile interconnection,construction management platform based on cloud computing and big data,unmanned operation system based on artificial intelligence,intelligent machinery and robot,and intelligent operation and maintenance system based on BIM and PHM(prediction and health management),are established.Third,ICRE is divided into three development stages:primary(perception),intermediate(substitution),and advanced(intelligence).The evaluation index system of each stage is provided from the aspects of technology and function.Finally,this work summarizes and analyzes the application situation of ICRE in the entire railway sector of China,represented by Beijing-Zhangjiakou and Beijing-Xiong’an high-speed railways.Result shows that the technical support systems of the ICRE have emerged in China and are still in the process of deepening basic technology research and preliminary application.In the future,the ICRE of China’s railway sector will develop toward a higher stage.Chunfang LU Junfei LIU Yanhong LIU Yuming LIU 2019Frontiers of Engineering Management2019,6,4:6
8Genome editing for plant research and crop improvement显示文摘The advent of clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat(CRISPR) has had a profound impact on plant biology, and crop improvement. In this review, we summarize the state-of-the-art development of CRISPR technologies and their applications in plants, from the initial introduction of random small indel(insertion or deletion) mutations at target genomic loci to precision editing such as base editing, prime editing and gene targeting. 10Tetrahymena Gene Expression Database (TGED):A resource of microarray data and co-expression analyses for Tetrahymena显示文摘Tetrahymena thermophila is a model eukaryotic organism. Functional genomic analyses in Tetrahymena present rich opportunities to address fundamental questions of cell and molecular biology. The Tetrahymena Gene Expression Database (TGED; available at http://gffzz5d146715fb2e495ehf0qvqbbvxqxv6qcb.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn) is the first expression database of a ciliated protozoan. It covers three major physiological and developmental states: growth, starvation, and conjugation, and can be accessed through a user-friendly web interface. The gene expression profiles and candidate co-expressed genes for each gene can be retrieved using Gene ID or Gene description searches. Descriptions of standardized methods of sample preparation and the opportunity to add new Tetrahymena microarray data will be of great interest to the Tetrahymena research community. 11Prognostic value of systemic immune- inflammation index in acute/subacute patients with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis显示文摘Objective To evaluate the prognosis values of systemic immune-inflammation index(SII)in non-chronic cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST).Methods patients with CVST,admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University,were retrospectively identified from January 2013 to December 2018.We selected patients in acute/subacute phase from database.Functional outcomes of patients were evaluated with the modified Rankin Scale(mRS)-mRS 3-6 as poor outcomes and mRS 6 as death.The overall survival time was defined as the date of onset to the date of death or last follow-up date.Survival analysis was described by the Kaplan-Meier curve and Cox regression analysis.Multivariate logistic regression analysis assessed the relationship between SII and poor functional outcome.The area under the Receiver Operating Curve curve(AUC)was estimated to evaluate the ability of SII in prediction.Results A total of 270 patients were included and their duration of follow-up was 22 months(6-66 months),of whom 31 patients had poor outcomes and 24 patients dead.Cox regression analysis showed that SII(HR=1.304,95%CI:1.101 to 1.703,p=0.001)was a predictor of death in non-chronic CVST.Patients with higher SII presented lower survival rates(p=0.003).The AUC of SII was 0.792(95%CI:0.695 to 0.888,p=0.040)with a sensitivity of 69.6%and specificity of 80.1%.Subgroups analysis demonstrated that SII was an important predictor of poor outcomes in male(OR=1.303,95%CI:1.102 to 1.501,p=0.011)and pregnancy/puerperium female(OR=1.407,95%CI:1.204 to 1.703,p=0.034).Conclusions SII was a potential predictor in the poor prognosis of patients with acute/subacute CVST,especially in male and pregnancy/puerperium female.Shen Li Kai Liu Yuan Gao Lu Zhao Rui Zhang Hui Fang Yongli Tao Hongbing Liu Jiawei Zhao Zongping Xia Yuming Xu Bo Song 2020Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,4:3

13In vitro Screening of Fusarium Wilt-resistant Germplasm Resources of Red Edible Seed Watermelon( Citrullus lanatus ssp. vulgaris var. megalaspermus Lin et Chao)显示文摘[Objective]This study aimed to establish an appropriate technology system for in vitro screening of Fusarium wilt-resistant germplasm resources of red edible seed watermelon and obtain variants resistant to fusaric acid,thus providing resistant materials for breeding Fusarium wilt-resistant red edible seed watermelon. [Method] Using Zhongxin No. 1 red edible seed watermelon adventitious buds as screening materials and fusaric acid( FA) as a stress agent,in vitro screening of Fusarium wilt-resistant red edible seed watermelon clonal variants and identification of Fusarium wilt-resistance of the germplasm resources of red edible seed watermelon were performed. [Result]The results showed that the appropriate FA for in vitro screening of Fusarium wilt-resistant red edible seed watermelon variants was 15 mg/L. In vitro screening system for Fusarium wilt-resistant red edible seed watermelon variants was established preliminarily and FA-resistant regenerated plants were obtained. Among the 36 germplasm resources of red edible seed watermelon,there were 2 highly resistant materials,6 moderately resistant materials,11 slightly resistant materials and 17 highly susceptible materials. 14Rice Protein Tagging Project:A Call for International Collaborations on Genome-wide In-Locus Tagging of Rice Proteins显示文摘In September 1997,the International Rice Genome Sequencing Project was launched.This initiative pooled the resources of ten nations to obtain the first complete rice genome sequence,and promoted rice research and breeding into the post-genomics era(Li et al.,2018).In 2008,an internationally coordinated project named 'RICE2020' was proposed to systematically and fully characterize all rice genes,transcripts,and proteins(Zhang et al.,2008).While genes and their transcripts can be readily characterized by sequencing-and PCR-based methods,the characterization of protein dynamics including protein levels,subcellular localizations,post-transla-tional modifications,and interactions with macromolecules(e.g.,proteins,DNA,RNA,carbohydrates,and lipids)and small molecules(e.g.,metabolites and ligands)is much more challenging and usually requires antibodies that specifically recognize the protein of interest.Because it is very difficult to systematically produce reliable antibodies for the specific recognition of individual plant proteins,a common practice is to transform a tag-fused open reading frame(ORF)of a gene to the corresponding loss-of-function mutant plants.However,such an ectopically expressed tagged protein may not fully reca-pitulate the properties of the endogenous protein due to the random insertion of the transgene,even when the transgene is expressed under the endogenous gene promoter.A preferred so-lution is to genetically label the coding sequence of the gene of interest,at its in vivo locus,with a sequence encoding a fluores-cent protein tag or an affinity tag such as FLAG or HA.Such 'in-locus' protein tagging,as we are naming it here,has been carried out genome-wide in yeast,Caenorhabditis elegans,fly,and mammalian cultured cells,greatly facilitating the characterization of proteins in these organisms(Jiang et al.,2018).In 2017,a Genome Tagging Project was launched in mice,aiming to label every protein using a CRISPR/Cas9-based 'artificial spermatids'method(Jiang et al.,2018).Significant funding and efforts have been put into this project,which is expected to provide valuable mouse resources to accelerate biomedical research.In higher plants,in-locus tagging of proteins has been extremely challenging technically.Yuming Lu Pamela C.Ronald Bin Han Jiayang Li Jian-Kang Zhu 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,12:2
15Efficient Multi-Tenant Virtual Machine Allocation in Cloud Data Centers显示文摘Virtual Machine(VM) allocation for multiple tenants is an important and challenging problem to provide efficient infrastructure services in cloud data centers. Tenants run applications on their allocated VMs, and the network distance between a tenant's VMs may considerably impact the tenant's Quality of Service(Qo S). In this study, we define and formulate the multi-tenant VM allocation problem in cloud data centers, considering the VM requirements of different tenants, and introducing the allocation goal of minimizing the sum of the VMs' network diameters of all tenants. Then, we propose a Layered Progressive resource allocation algorithm for multi-tenant cloud data centers based on the Multiple Knapsack Problem(LP-MKP). The LP-MKP algorithm uses a multi-stage layered progressive method for multi-tenant VM allocation and efficiently handles unprocessed tenants at each stage. This reduces resource fragmentation in cloud data centers, decreases the differences in the Qo S among tenants, and improves tenants' overall Qo S in cloud data centers.
