Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. Therefore the observation of Insight-HXMT constitutes an important chapter in the full context of multi-wavelength and multi-messenger observation of this historical GW event.TiPei Li ShaoLin Xiong ShuangNan Zhang FangJun Lu LiMing Song XueLei Cao Zhi Chang Gang Chen Li Chen TianXiang Chen Yong Chen YiBao Chen YuPeng Chen Wei Cui WeiWei Cui JingKang Deng YongWei Dong YuanYuan Du MinXue Fu GuanHua Gao He Gao Min Gao MingYu Ge YuDong Gu Ju Guan ChengCheng Guo DaWei Han Wei Hu Yue Huang Jia Huo ShuMei Jia LuHua Jiang WeiChun Jiang Jing Jin YongJie Jin Bing Li ChengKui Li Gang Li MaoShun Li Wei Li Xian Li XiaoBo Li XuFang Li YanGuo Li ZiJian Li ZhengWei Li XiaoHua Liang JinYuan Liao CongZhan Liu GuoQing Liu HongWei Liu ShaoZhen Liu XiaoJing Liu Yuan Liu YiNong Liu Bo Lu XueFeng Lu Tao Luo Xiang Ma Bin Meng Yi Nang JianYin Nie Ge OU JinLu Qu Na Sai Liang Sun Yin Tan Lian Tao WenHui Tao YouLi Tuo GuoFeng Wang HuanYu Wang Juan Wang WenShuai Wang YuSa Wang XiangYang Wen BoBing WU Mei Wu GuangCheng Xiao He Xu YuPeng Xu LinLi Yan JiaWei Yang Sheng Yang YanJi Yang AiMei Zhang ChunLei Zhang ChengMo Zhang Fan Zhang HongMei Zhang Juan Zhang Qiang Zhang Shu Zhang Tong Zhang Wei Zhang WanChang Zhang WenZhao Zhang Yi Zhang Yue Zhang YiFei Zhang YongJie Zhang Zhao Zhang ZiLiang Zhang HaiSheng Zhao JianLing Zhao XiaoFan Zhao ShiJie Zheng Yue Zhu YuXuan Zhu ChangLin Zou 2018Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2018,61,3:12

The High Energy X-ray telescope (HE) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Insight-Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(Insight-HXMT) is a broadband X-ray and γ-ray(1-3000 ke V) astronomy satellite. One of its three main telescopes is the High Energy X-ray telescope(HE). The main detector plane of HE comprises 18 Na I(Tl)/Cs I(Na) phoswich detectors, where Na I(Tl) is used as the primary detector to measure ~ 20-250 ke V photons incident from the field of view(FOV) defined by collimators, and Cs I(Na) is used as the active shielding detector to Na I(Tl) by pulse shape discrimination. Additionally, Cs I(Na) is used as an omnidirectional γ-ray monitor. The HE collimators have a diverse FOV,i.e. 1.1°×5.7°(15 units), 5.7°×5.7°(2 units), and blocked(1 unit). Therefore, the combined FOV of HE is approximately5.7°×5.7°. Each HE detector has a diameter of 190 mm resulting in a total geometrical area of approximately 5100 cm2, and the energy resolution is ~15% at 60 ke V. For each recorded X-ray event by HE, the timing accuracy is less than 10 μs and the deadtime is less than 10 μs. HE is used for observing spectra and temporal variability of X-ray sources in the 20-250 ke V band either by pointing observations for known sources or scanning observations to unveil new sources. Additionally, HE is used for monitoring the γ-ray burst in 0.2-3 Me V band. This paper not only presents the design and performance of HE instruments but also reports results of the on-ground calibration experiments.CongZhan Liu YiFei Zhang XuFang Li XueFeng Lu Zhi Chang ZhengWei Li AiMei Zhang YongJie Jin HuiMing Yu Zhao Zhang MinXue Fu YiBao Chen JianFeng Ji YuPeng Xu JingKang Deng RenCheng Shang GuoQing Liu FangJun Lu ShuangNan Zhang YongWei Dong TiPei Li Mei Wu YanGuo Li HuanYu Wang BoBing Wu YongJie Zhang Zhi Zhang ShaoLin Xiong Yuan Liu Shu Zhang HongWei Liu YiJung Yang Fan Zhang 2020Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,4:9
Development of high-temperature superconducting filters operating at temperatures above 90 K显示文摘This paper represents the development of a high temperature superconducting (HTS) filter, the highest operating temperature of which is up to 93 K. The filter is designed for S band with 4% fractional bandwidth and fabricated using thallium-barium-calcium-copper oxide (Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8) thin films. At 93 K, the measurements of the filter show that the insertion loss in the passband is less than 0.22 dB, the return loss is better than 20 dB, and the out-of-band rejection is more than 80 dB. The analysis on the characteristics of the filter operating at different temperatures shows that the filter can work well at temperatures around 90 K. The temperature of 93 K is the highest among the previous reports for HTS filters. The result reported in this paper is significant for HTS filters to be used in the field of microwave communication requiring high sensitivity.XIA HouHai ZHOU ChunXia ZUO Tao HE Ming JI Lu ZHOU TieGe ZHAO XinJie FANG Lan YAN ShaoLin 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,19:9
The Low Energy X-ray telescope (LE) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Low Energy X-ray telescope(LE) is one of the three main instruments of the Insight-Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(Insight-HXMT). It is equipped with Swept Charge Device(SCD) sensor arrays with a total geometrical area of 384 cm^2 and an energy band from 0.7 to 13 ke V. In order to evaluate the particle induced X-ray background and the cosmic X-ray background simultaneously, LE adopts collimators to define four types of Field Of Views(FOVs), i.e., 1.6°×6°, 4°×6°, 50°-60°×2°-6 oand the blocked ones which block the X-ray by an aluminum cover. LE is constituted of three detector boxes(LEDs) and an electric control box(LEB) and achieves a good energy resolution of 140 e V@5.9 ke V, an excellent time resolution of 0.98 ms, as well as an extremely low pileup(<1%@18000 cts/s). Detailed performance tests and calibration on the ground have been performed, including energy-channel relation, energy response, detection efficiency and time response.Yong Chen WeiWei Cui Wei Li Juan Wang YuPeng Xu FangJun Lul YuSa Wang TianXiang Chen DaWei Han Wei Hu Yi Zhang Jia Huo YanJi Yang MaoShun Li Bo Lu ZiLiang Zhang TiPei Li ShuangNan Zhang ShaoLin Xiong Shu Zhang RongFeng Xue XiaoFan Zhao Yue Zhu YuXuan Zhu HongWei Liu YiJung Yang Fan Zhang 2020Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,4:8
The Medium Energy X-ray telescope (ME) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Medium Energy X-ray telescope(ME) is one of the three main telescopes on board the Insight hard X-ray modulation telescope(Insight-HXMT) astronomy satellite. ME contains 1728 pixels of Si-PIN detectors sensitive in 5-30 ke V with a total geometrical area of 952 cm^2. The application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) chip, VA32TA6, is used to achieve low power consumption and low readout noise. The collimators define three kinds of field of views(FOVs) for the telescope, 1°×4°, 4°×4°,and blocked ones. Combination of such FOVs can be used to estimate the in-orbit X-ray and particle background components. The energy resolution of ME is ~3 ke V at 17.8 ke V(FWHM) and the time resolution is 255 μs. In this paper, we introduce the design and performance of ME.XueLei Cao WeiChun Jiang Bin Meng WanChang Zhang Tao Luo Sheng Yang ChunLei Zhang YuDong Gu Liang Sun XiaoJing Liu JiaWei Yang Xian Li Ying Tan ShaoZhen Liu YuanYuan Du FangJun Lu YuPeng Xu Ju Guan ShuangNan Zhang HuanYu Wang TiPei Li ChengMo Zhang XiangYang Wen JinLu Qu LiMing Song XiaoBo Li MingYu Ge YuPeng Zhou ShaoLin Xiong Shu Zhang YongJie Zhang ZeHao Cheng Fei Zhang MaoShun Li XiaoHua Liang Min Gao EnBo Yang XiaoHang Liu HongWei Liu YiJung Yang Fan Zhang 2020Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,4:5
Whole-process design and experimental validation of landing gear lower drag stay with global/local linked driven optimization strategy显示文摘Landing gear lower drag stay is a key component which connects fuselage and landing gear and directly effects the safety and performance of aircraft takeoff and landing. To effectively design the lower drag stay and reduce the weight of landing gear, Global/local Linked Driven Optimization Strategy(GLDOS) was developed to conduct the overall process design of lower drag stay in respect of optimization thought. The whole-process optimization involves two stages of structural conceptual design and detailed design. In the structural conceptual design, the landing gear lower drag stay was globally topologically optimized by adopting multiple starting points algorithm. In the detailed design, the local size and shape of landing gear lower drag stay were globally optimized by the gradient optimization strategy. The GLDOS method adopts different optimization strategies for different optimization stages to acquire the optimum design effect. Through the experimental validation, the weight of the optimized lower dray stay with the developed GLDOS is reduced by 16.79% while keeping enough strength and stiffness, which satisfies the requirements of engineering design under the typical loading conditions. The proposed GLDOS is validated to be accurate and efficient in optimization scheme and design cycles. The efforts of this paper provide a whole-process optimization approach regarding different optimization technologies in different design phases, which is significant in reducing structural weight and enhance design tp wid 1 precision for complex structures in aircrafts.Chengwei FEI Haotian LIU Zhengzheng ZHU Liqiang AN Shaolin LI Cheng LU 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,2:2
ULTRASONIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DISTURBED COAL MASS显示文摘Coal and gas outbursts are a mechanical dislocation process of a gas-logged and porous medium. The existence of the disturbed coal is a precondition of the outbursts. The study showed that the disturbedcoal and normal coal are greatly different in mechanical and physical properties which decided the speeds of ultrasonic wave travelling in them. This paper presents a set of experimental measuring system and method. The resultal of measurements conducted in 60 min areas revealed quite different ultrasonic characteristics indifferent types of coal mass textures. Measuring the disturbed coal is a new way for predicting the outbursts.Lu Shaolin He Jishan(Institute of Applied Geophysics, Central South Universityof Technology, Changsha 410083, China) 1997Journal of Central South University1997,9,1:2

Dynamic parametric modeling-based model updating strategy of aeroengine casings显示文摘For accurate Finite Element(FE)modeling for the structural dynamics of aeroengine casings,Parametric Modeling-based Model Updating Strategy(PM-MUS)is proposed based on efficient FE parametric modeling and model updating techniques regarding uncorrelated/correlated mode shapes.Casings structure is parametrically modeled by simplifying initial structural FE model and equivalently simulating mechanical characteristics.Uncorrelated modes between FE model and experiment are reasonably handled by adopting an objective function to recognize correct correlated modes pairs. The parametrized FE model is updated to effectively describe structural dynamic characteristics in respect of testing data. The model updating technology is firstly validated by the detailed FE model updating of one fixed–fixed beam structure in light of correlated/uncorrelated mode shapes and measured mode data. The PM-MUS is applied to the FE parametrized model updating of an aeroengine stator system(casings)which is constructed by the proposed parametric modeling approach. As revealed in this study,(A)the updated models by the proposed updating strategy and dynamic test data is accurate, and(B)the uncorrelated modes like close modes can be effectively handled and precisely identify the FE model mode associated the corresponding experimental mode, and(C)parametric modeling can enhance the dynamic modeling updating of complex structure in the accuracy of mode matching. The efforts of this study provide an efficient dynamic model updating strategy(PM-MUS)for aeroengine casings by parametric modeling and experimental test data regarding uncorrelated modes.Chengwei FEI Haotian LIU Shaolin LI Huan LI Liqiang AN Cheng LU 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,12:2
Influence of Coal Nature and Structure on Ash Size Formation Characteristic and Related Pollutant Emissions During CFB Combustion显示文摘The size distribution of coal particles in a Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) boiler plays a crucial role in the complicated combustion, heat exchange and pollutant emissions in such a plat. Therefore, it is fundamental to study the different factors having influence on the size distribution of coal particles. Above all, the coal itself and in particular, the coal combination phenomenon is a very influent factor. In the frame of this work, the coal nature (elementary composition) and coal internal structure (mineral components) are studied in detail. At this intermediary stage, experiments on three typical Chinese coals on a l.5 MWt CFBC pilot plant have been made. Some primary fragmentation tests have also been made in a small lab scale fluidized bed reactor. The results from the hot pilot test show i) the variation of coal ash distributions and other CFB performance data due to the cyclone and the coal characteristics and ii) the variation of desulfurization efficiency with limestone. Whereas the bench scale primary fragmentation test, likely linked to the caking propriety of a coal, does not seem to change considerably the char size distribution.Min QIAN Arnaud BOELLE Philippe JAUD ( Electricite de France Division R&D, 6 quai Watier B.P.49 78401 Chatou, France ) Yongjie NA Qinggang LU Shaolin BAO ding CUI Weihong JIAO Huanming ZHAO (Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academ 2000Journal of Thermal Science2000,9,3:2
Simulation of the in-flight calibration of the collimator alignment and PSF for HXMT显示文摘The Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(HXMT) is an X-ray astronomical satellite in 1-250 keV,consisting of three collimated instruments. We present the in-flight calibration approach of the collimator alignment and Point Spread Function(PSF) for HXMT,using both the direct fitting method and the imaging method.According to observational simulations of the Crab Nebula,we find that these two methods produce almost the same calibration accuracy of the alignment, and with a one-day scanning observation, the alignment can be calibrated to better than 0.45' and 0.1' along the wide and narrow directions of the Field of View(FOV) for a detector module, which corresponds to a localization accuracy of better than 0.1' and meets the scientific requirement.XIONG ShaoLin,LI XinQiao,QU JinLu & LU FangJun Key Laboratory for Particle Astrophysics,Institute of High Energy Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS),Beijing 100049,China 2010Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,S1:1

Characterization of a Novel Gene, srpA, Conferring Resistance to Streptogramin A, Pleuromutilins, and Lincosamides in Streptococcus suis显示文摘Antimicrobial resistance is undoubtedly one of the greatest global health threats. The emergence of multidrug-resistant(MDR) Gram-positive pathogens, such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA), vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium(VRE), and β-lactamase-resistant Streptococcus pneumonia, has severely limited our antibiotic arsenal. Numerous ribosome-targeting antibiotics, especially pleuromutilins, oxazolidinones, and streptogramins, are viewed as promising alternatives against aggressive MDR pathogens. In this study, we identified a new adenosine triphosphate(ATP)-binding cassete(ABC)-F family determinant, srp A, in Streptococcus suis(S. suis) by means of a comparative analysis of the whole-genome sequences of tiamulin(TIA)-resistant and TIA-sensitive bacteria. Functional cloning confirmed that the deduced gene can mediate cross-resistance to pleuromutilins, lincosamides, and streptogramin A in S. suis and S. aureus. A sequence alignment revealed that Srp A shares the highest amino acid identity with Vga(E)(36%) and shows canonical characteristics of ABC-F family members. In Srp A-ribosome docked compounds, the extended loop region of Srp A approaches the valnemulinbinding pocket in the ribosome peptidyl-transferase center and competes with bound valnemulin. A detailed mutational analysis of the loop residues confirmed that this domain is crucial for Srp A activity,as substitutions or truncations of this region affect the efficiency and specificity of antibiotic resistance.Intracellular antibiotics accumulation indicated that Srp A does not act as an efflux pump, while a ribosome binding assay supported the protective effects of Srp A on the ribosome by preventing antibiotic binding as well as displacing bound drugs. These findings clarify the mechanisms underlying resistance to ribosomal antibiotics.Chaoyang Zhang Lu Liu Peng Zhang Jingpo Cui Xiaoxia Qin Lichao Ma Kun Han Zhanhui Wang Shaolin Wang Shuangyang Ding Zhangqi Shen 2022Engineering2022,8,2:1

Fragment Anisotropy of Complete Fusion-Fission at Subbarrier Energies for the ^(11)B+^(238)U and ^(12)C+^(237)Np Reactions显示文摘Fission fragment angular distributions have been measured for the reactions ^(11)B+^(238)U,(12)C+^(237)Np at near-and sub-barrier energies, and ^(16)O+^(238)U at 90 MeV.The complete fusion-fission and transfer-fission were separated as components in the whole energy region in this experiment. The influence of pre-scission neutron emission on fragment anisotropies has been considered. This effect leads to increase of the anisotropies when compared with the results obtained under the assumption of first chance fission. However, the anomalous anisotropies still persist.ZHANG Huanqiao LIU Zuhua XU Jincheng QIAN Xing CHEN Shaolin LU Lixing 1992Chinese Physics Letters1992,9,6:0
循环血AFP-mRNA与HS-GGT检测对肝癌的诊断与监测价值(英文)显示文摘Objective: Early finding of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) and monitoring of its metastasis are of the utmost importance. The objectives of this study were to investigate the values of circulating hepatoma-specific gamma-glutamyl transferase(HS-GGT) fraction and α-fetoprotein mRNA(AFP-mRNA) from peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) in diagnosis or monitoring metastasis of HCC. Methods: Total RNA was extracted from hepatomas or PBMCs of patients, synthesized to AFP-cDNA through random primers and reverse transcriptase, amplified by using a nested PCR assay, and confirmed by sequencing. Simultaneity, the HS-GGT activities were quantitatively determined in sera of patients. The comprehensive assessments of two markers were investigated in HCC patients. Results: The amplified fragments of AFP-mRNA were identical to original designed ones(159 bp) and confirmed by sequencing. The lowest sensitivity was 2 ng/L of total RNA. The incidences of AFP-mRNA and HS-GGT were 60.4%(113 of 187) and 84.5%(158 of 187) in the HCC group, and their significantly higher(P < 0.01) than that in any of other groups. The high frequencies of HS-GGT and AFP-mRNA were 78.2% and 56.4% in the HCC patients with AFP < 50 ng/mL. All positive of AFP-mRNA was found in HCC patients with extrahepatic metastasis. No significant correlation was found between tumor size and AFP-mRNA or HS-GGT. The total incidence of combined AFP-mRNA and HS-GGT detection was 93.6 % for HCC diagnosis. Conclusion: HS-GGT and AFP-mRNA are specific markers for HCC diagnosis or differentiation, especially the former for early finding and the later for monitoring metastasis of HCC.Li Wang Min Yao Yao Yao Liuhong Pan Shaolin Lu Dengfu Yao 2014The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2014,13,10:0
