| 1 | Parameters optimum matching of pure electric vehicle dual-mode coupling drive system显示文摘As an important development direction of pure electric vehicle drive system,the distributed drive system has the advantages of compact structure,high transmission efficiency,and flexible control,but there are some serious problems such as high performance requirements to the drive motors,complex control strategies,and poor reliability.To solve these problems,a two motors dual-mode coupling drive system has been developed at first,which not only has the capacity of two-speed gear shifting,but also can automatically switch between the distributed drive and the centralized drive by means of modes change control.So,the performance requirements to the drive motors can be reduced,the problem of abnormal running caused by the fault of unilateral distributed drive systems also can be resolved by replacing the drive mode with centralized drive.Then,the system parameters primary and the optimum matching under the principle of efficiency optimization have been carried out,which makes the drive system achieve predetermined functions and meet the actual demands of different operating statuses.At last,the economic comparison of a pure electric vehicle installation with a dual-mode coupling drive sytem,a single-motor centralized drive system or a dual-motor distributed drive system in the simulation conditions has been completed.Compared with other systems,the driving range of the electric vehicle driven by the designed system is significantly increased,which proves the better efficiency and application value of the system. | ZHANG LiPeng LI Liang QI BingNan WANG Chong ZHANG YaHui SONG Jian | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,11: | 22 |

| 3 | Electromechanical coupling driving control for single-shaft parallel hybrid powertrain显示文摘The single-shaft parallel hybrid powertrain with the automatic mechanical transmission(AMT)is an efficient hybrid driving system in the hybrid electric bus(HEB),while the electromechanical coupling driving control becomes a complicated question to find a transient optimal control method to distribute the power between the engine and the electric machine(EM).This paper proposes an innovative control method to deal with the complicated transient coupling driving process of the electromechanical coupling driving system,considering the accelerating condition and the cruising condition mostly in the city driving cycle of HEB.The EM might be operated at driving mode or generating mode to assist the diesel engine to work in its high-efficiency area.Therefore,the adaptive torque tracking controller has been brought forward to ensure that the EM implements the demand torque as well as compensate the torque fluctuation of diesel engine.The d?q axis mathematical model and back stepping method are employed to deduce the adaptive controller and its adaptive laws.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed control scheme can make the output torque of two power sources respond rapidly to the demand torque from the powertrain in the given driving condition.The proposed method could be adopted in the real control of HEB to improve the efficiency of the hybrid driving system. | YANG Chao JIAO XiaoHong LI Liang ZHANG YaHui ZHANG LiPeng SONG Jian | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,3: | 17 |

| 5 | SSR Analysis of Genetic Relationship and Classification in Chrysanthemum Germplasm Collection显示文摘To further test the accuracy and rationality of the Chinese classification system for chrysanthemum(Chrysanthemum morifolium), 10 simple sequence repeat(SSR) markers were used to identify a collection of 88 chrysanthemum and its related genera accessions. In total, 42 effective alleles across 88 accessions were detected; 3 429 bands were obtained by PCR amplification, including 2 630 polymorphic bands. The similarity coefficient ranged from 0.53 to 0.88. Cluster analysis based on UPGMA illustrated that the wild species and large-flower cultivars were first divided into two clusters, then the large-flower cultivars formed five distinct groups according to petal type, indicated that petal type can be a classification criterion. In the wild species cluster, C. vestitum and C. zawadaskii grouped with A. trilobata, suggested that the Ajania genera was closely related to the Chrysanthemum genera. ‘Hangbaiju’, ‘Gongju’ and ‘Chuju’ were grouped together, and ‘Boju’, O. longilobus and C. mongolicum constituted another branch, showed a correlation with geographic region of origin. Population structure analysis was subsequently performed with K values ranging from 2 to 10, and the most likely estimate for the population structure is five subpopulations, which is nearly consistent with the clustering results. Principle component analysis was further performed to verify the classification results. | 6 | Development and validation of an endoscopic images-based deep learning model for detection with nasopharyngeal malignancies显示文摘Background:Due to the occult anatomic location of the nasopharynx and frequent presence of adenoid hyperpla-sia,the positive rate for malignancy identification during biopsy is low,thus leading to delayed or missed diagnosis for nasopharyngeal malignancies upon initial attempt.Here,we aimed to develop an artificial intelligence tool to detect nasopharyngeal malignancies under endoscopic examination based on deep learning.Methods:An endoscopic images-based nasopharyngeal malignancy detection model(eNPM-DM)consisting of a fully convolutional network based on the inception architecture was developed and fine-tuned using separate training and validation sets for both classification and segmentation.Briefly,a total of 28,966 qualified images were collected.Among these images,27,536 biopsy-proven images from 7951 individuals obtained from January 1st,2008,to December 31st,2016,were split into the training,validation and test sets at a ratio of 7:1:2 using simple randomiza-tion.Additionally,1430 images obtained from January 1st,2017,to March 31st,2017,were used as a prospective test set to compare the performance of the established model against oncologist evaluation.The dice similarity coef-ficient(DSC)was used to evaluate the efficiency of eNPM-DM in automatic segmentation of malignant area from the background of nasopharyngeal endoscopic images,by comparing automatic segmentation with manual segmenta-tion performed by the experts.Results:All images were histopathologically confirmed,and included 5713(19.7%)normal control,19,107(66.0%)nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC),335(1.2%)NPC and 3811(13.2%)benign diseases.The eNPM-DM attained an overall accuracy of 88.7%(95%confidence interval(CI)87.8%-89.5%)in detecting malignancies in the test set.In the prospective comparison phase,eNPM-DM outperformed the experts:the overall accuracy was 88.0%(95%CI 86.1%-89.6%)vs.80.5%(95%CI 77.0%-84.0%).The eNPM-DM required less time(40 s vs.110.0±5.8 min)and exhibited encouraging performance in automatic segmentation of nasopharyngeal malignant area from the background,with an average DSC of 0.78±0.24 and 0.75±0.26 in the test and prospective test sets,respectively.Conclusions:The eNPM-DM outperformed oncologist evaluation in diagnostic classification of nasopharyngeal mass into benign versus malignant,and realized automatic segmentation of malignant area from the background of nasopharyngeal endoscopic images. | Chaofeng Li Bingzhong Jing Liangru Ke Bin Li Weixiong Xia Caisheng He Chaonan Qian Chong Zhao Haiqiang Mai Mingyuan Chen Kajia Cao Haoyuan Mo Ling Guo Qiuyan Chen Linquan Tang Wenze Qiu Yahui Yu Hu Liang Xinjun Huang Guoying Liu Wangzhong Li Lin Wang Rui Sun Xiong Zou Shanshan Guo Peiyu Huang Donghua Luo Fang Qiu Yishan Wu Yijun Hua Kuiyuan Liu Shuhui Lv Jingjing Miao Yanqun Xiang Ying Sun Xiang Guo Xing Lv | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 9 |
| 7 | First record of Thalassiosira curviseriata Takano (Bacillariophyta) and its bloom in the East China Sea显示文摘A bloom caused by a diatom, Thalassiosira curviseriata Takano (Bacillariophyta), is recorded in the East China Sea for the first time in China during a red tide investigation cruise (MC2005-2) from 27 March to 12 April 2005. This bloom was developed with the competition of Chaetoceros debilis and Skeletonema spp. The highest cell density of T. curviseriata, which has reached 1.27×106 cells/dm3, was found in the surface and middle water layers of Stas ZD, ZB in the East China Sea (27.22°~29.48°N, 121.53°~122.98°E)in early spring in 2005. During the blooming period of T. curviseriata, the population with high cell density was found in the water area with temperature of 10~15 ℃ and salinity of 29.0~33.5. The percentage of the predominant species, T. curviseriata, has reached 95.8% of total diatom cells at one time in the middle water layer. The morphological characteristics of T. curviseriata, were observed with light microscope (LM) and transmission electronic microscope (TEM). The cells are 5.0~12.6 μm in diameter, connecting each other by mucilaginous thread to form spiral and curved chains. Description and LM and TEM images of T. curviseriata are presented. | 14 | Quantifying the Cloud Water Resource:Methods Based on Observational Diagnosis and Cloud Model Simulation显示文摘Based on the concepts of cloud water resource(CWR)and related variables proposed in the first part of this study,this paper provides details of two methods to quantify the CWR.One is diagnostic quantification(CWR-DQ)based on satellite observations,precipitation products,and atmospheric reanalysis data;and the other is numerical quantification(CWR-NQ)based on a cloud resolving model developed at the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences(CAMS).The two methods are applied to quantify the CWR in April and August 2017 over North China,and the results are evaluated against all available observations.Main results are as follows.(1)For the CWR-DQ approach,reference cloud profiles are firstly derived based on the Cloud Sat/CALIPSO joint satellite observations for 2007–2010.The NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data in 2000–2017 are then employed to produce three-dimensional cloud fields.The budget/balance equations of atmospheric water substance are lastly used,together with precipitation observations,to retrieve CWR and related variables.It is found that the distribution and vertical structure of clouds obtained by the diagnostic method are consistent with observations.(2)For the CWR-NQ approach,it assumes that the cloud resolving model is able to describe the cloud microphysical processes completely and precisely,from which four-dimensional distributions of atmospheric water vapor,hydrometeors,and wind fields can be obtained.The data are then employed to quantify the CWR and related terms/quantities.After one-month continuous integration,the mass of atmospheric water substance becomes conserved,and the tempospatial distributions of water vapor,hydrometeors/cloud water,and precipitation are consistent with observations.(3)Diagnostic values of the difference in the transition between hydrometeors and water vapor(Cvh-Chv)and the surface evaporation(Es)are well consistent with their numerical values.(4)Correlation and bias analyses show that the diagnostic CWR contributors are well correlated with observations,and match their numerical counterparts as well,indicating that the CWR-NQ and CWR-DQ methods are reasonable.(5)Underestimation of water vapor converted from hydrometeors(Chv)is a shortcoming of the CWR-DQ method,which may be rectified by numerical quantification results or by use of advanced observations on higher spatiotemporal resolutions. | Miao CAI Yuquan ZHOU Jianzhao LIU Chao TAN Yahui TANG Qianrong MA Qi LI Jietai MAO Zhijin HU | 2020 | Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,6: | 4 |
| 15 | Development of an antimicrobial peptide-loaded mineralized collagen bone scaffold for infective bone defect repair显示文摘The repair of infective bone defects is a great challenge in clinical work.It is of vital importance to develop a kind of bone scaffold with good osteogenic properties and long-term antibacterial activity for local anti-infection and bone regeneration.A porous mineralized collagen(MC)scaffold containing poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA)microspheres loaded with two antibacterial synthetic peptides,Pac-525 or KSL-W was developed and characterized via scanning electron microscopy(SEM),porosity measurement,swelling and mechanical tests.The results showed that the MC scaffold embedded with smooth and compact PLGA microspheres had a positive effect on cell growth and also had antibacterial properties.Through toxicity analysis,cell morphology and proliferation analysis and alkaline phosphatase evaluation,the antibacterial scaffolds showed excellent biocompatibility and osteogenic activity.The antibacterial property evaluated with Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli suggested that the sustained release of Pac-525 or KSL-W from the scaffolds could inhibit the bacterial growth aforementioned in the long term.Our results suggest that the antimicrobial peptides-loaded MC bone scaffold has good antibacterial and osteogenic activities,thus providing a great promise for the treatment of infective bone defects. | Yuzhu He Yahui Jin Xiaoxia Ying Qiong Wu Shenglian Yao Yuanyuan Li Huiying Liu Guowu Ma Xiumei Wang | 2020 | Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,5: | 3 |

| 17 | Characteristics and distribution patterns of reef complexes on the carbonate platform margin in deep water areas:the western South China Sea显示文摘As a potential oil and gas reservoir,reef complexes have been a research focus from petroleum geologists for a long time.There are favorable conditions for the development of reef complexes in the South China Sea; however,their internal structures,evolution and distribution are still poorly understood.Based on 2D and 3D seismic data,the internal structures and evolution patterns of the reef complexes on the carbonate platform margin in the deep water areas over the western South China Sea were studied in detail.The result shows that two types of reef complexes,i.e.,fault controlling platform margin reef complexes and ramp reef complexes have been developed in the study area.The reef complexes have independent or continuous mound or lenticular seismic reflections,with three internal structures(i.e.,aggrading,prograding and retrograding structures).There are different growth rates during the evolution of the reef complexes,resulting in the formation of catch-up reefs,keep-up reefs and quick step reefs.The study also reveals that different platform margin reef complexes have different internal structures and distributions,because of the different platform types.These results may be applied to the exploration and prediction of carbonate platform margin reef complexes in other areas that are similar to the study area. | CHEN Ping LI Xushen WANG Yahui LU Yongchao ZHONG Zehong CHEN Lei ZUO Qianmei MA Yiquan WANG Chao DU Xuebin | 2015 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2015,34,10: | 3 |

| 19 | Impact of EV load uncertainty on optimal planning for electric vehicle charging station显示文摘With the development of electric vehicles(EV), there is a huge demand for electric vehicle charging stations(EVCS). The utilization of renewable energy sources(RES) in EVCS can not only decrease the energy fluctuation by participating in peakload reduction of the grid, but also reduce the pollution to the environment by cutting down the use of fossil fuels. In this paper,the optimal planning for grid-connected EVCS with RES is studied by considering EV load uncertainty. Nine scenarios are set based on a different characteristic of EV load to reveal the impact of EV load on net present cost(NPC) and to express the relationship between the optimal capacity and energy flow. Moreover, since electricity price also plays an important role in EVCS planning, an economic comparison between different cases with different electricity prices for peak-valley-flat period is carried out. | 20 | Assessing current stocks and future sequestration potential of forest biomass carbon in Daqing Mountain Nature Reserve of Inner Mongolia, China显示文摘Assessment of regional forest carbon stocks and underlying controls is critical for guiding forest management in the context of carbon sequestration. We investigated the variations in tree biomass carbon stocks relating to forest types, and estimated the total tree biomass carbon stocks and projected gains through natural stand development by 2020 and 2050 in the Daqing Mountain Nature Reserve based on Category II data of the Forest Inventory of Inner Mongolia for the period ending 2008. Over a total area of 388,577 ha,this nature reserve currently stores an estimated 2221 Gg C in tree aboveground biomass alone, with potential to grow by more than 30 % to reach 2938 Gg C by 2020 and nearly double to 4092 Gg C by 2050 through natural development of the existing forest stands. The tree biomass carbon density and potential gain in tree biomass carbon stocks vary markedly among forest types and with stand development.The variations in the potential change of tree biomass carbon density for the periods 2008–2020 and 2008–2050 among forest types partly reflect the varying relationships of tree biomass carbon density with stand age for different tree species, and partly are attributable to variations in the stand age structure among different forest types. Of the major forest types, the ranking of projected changes in tree biomass carbon density are not consistent with variations in the relationship between tree biomass carbon density and stand age, neither are they explainable by variations in stand age structures, implying the interactive effect between forest type and stand dynamics on temporal changes in tree biomass carbon density. Birch rank highest for future biomass carbon sequestration because of its dominance in cover area and better age structure for potential gain in tree biomass carbon stocks. Poplar and larch were out-performers compared to other forest types given their greater contribution to total tree biomass carbon stocks relative to their distributional areas. Findings in this study illustrate that protection and proper management of under-aged forests can deliver marked gains in biomass carbon sequestration.
