1Effect of minor content of Gd on the mechanical and degradable properties of as-cast Mg-2Zn-xGd-0.5Zr alloys显示文摘RE-containing Mg alloys used as biodegradable medical implants exhibit good promising application due to their good mechanical properties and degradation resistance. In this work, effect of Gd on the microstructure, mechanical properties and biodegradation of as-cast Mg-2Zn-xGd-0.5Zr alloys was investigated. The results showed that there were mainly α-Mg, I-phase, W-phase and MgZn2 phase in Mg-Zn-Gd-Zr alloys. With increase of the Gd content, the strength of the alloys was enhanced due to the second phase strengthening and grain refinement. The degradation resistance of Mg-2Zn-0.5Zr alloy was increased by adding 0.5%–1% Gd due to the uniformly distributed second phases which acted as a barrier to prevent the pitting corrosion. However, increasing Gd content to 2% reduced the degradation resistance of the alloy due to the galvanic corrosion between the matrix and the second phases.The good degradation resistance and mechanical properties of as-cast Mg-2Zn-1Gd-0.5Zr alloy makes it outstanding for biomaterial application.Junxiu Chen Lili Tan Xiaoming Yu Ke Yang 2019Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,4:13

3Effect of grain refinement and crystallographic texture produced by friction stir processing on the biodegradation behavior of a Mg-Nd-Zn alloy显示文摘The application of a single pass of friction stir processing(FSP) to Mg-Nd-Zn alloy resulted in grain refinement, texture evolution and redistribution of second phases, which improved corrosion resistance.In this work, an as-rolled Mg-Nd-Zn alloy was subjected to FSP. The microstructure in the processed zone of the FS-400 rpm alloy exhibited refined grains, a more homogenous grain size distribution, less second phases, and stronger basal plane texture. The corrosion behavior assessed using immersion tests and electrochemical tests in Hank’s solution indicated that the FS-400 rpm alloy had a lower corrosion rate, which was attributed to the increase of basal plane intensity and grain refinement. 4Effect of heat treatment on mechanical and biodegradable properties of an extruded ZK60 alloy显示文摘ZK60 magnesium alloy possess good mechanical properties and is a potential biodegradable material.But its high degradation rate is not desirable.In this study the effect of heat treatment on the biodegradable property of ZK60 alloy was investigated.T5 treated,T6 treated,as-cast and as-extruded ZK60 alloys were studied.Microstructure characterization,electrochemical measurement and immersion test were carried out.The results showed that both the mechanical properties and degradation behavior were improved after T5 treatment due to the formation of small and uniformly distributed MgZn phases.The as-cast alloys also exhibited good corrosion resistance.However,the as-extruded and T6 treated samples were severely corroded due to the formation of large amounts of second phases accelerating the corrosion rate owing to the galvanic corrosion.The corrosion resistance of ZK60 alloy was as following:T5 treated>as-cast>T6 treated>as-extruded.Junxiu Chen Lili Tan Ke Yang 2017Bioactive Materials2017,2,1:6
5Emission characteristics of surface second-order metal grating distributed feedback semiconductor lasers显示文摘To obtain high-power semiconductor lasers with stable operation in a single longitudinal mode and improve the characteristics of the output beam,an end-emitting surface second-order metal grating distributed feedback(DFB) laser emitting at around 940 nm is fabricated.The characteristics of the uncoated devices with and without gratings are tested under room temperature continuous-wave conditions without any temperature-control device and compared.The devices with gratings achieve high powers of up to 385 mW/facet and a small lateral far-field angle of 2.7° at 1.5 A,have only 4.13 nm/A wavelength-shift,and 0.09 nm spectral linewidth at 600 mA,and operate in a stable longitudinal mode.Devices without gratings operate in multimode,with a larger lateral far-field angle(7.3°) and spectral linewidth(1.3 nm),although with higher output powers.Because of the integration of second-order metal gratings and their very high coupling capability,the output beam quality is improved greatly,the lasing wavelength is stable and varies slowly with changes in injection current,while the spectrum is narrowed dramatically,and the far-field angles are greatly reduced.This opens the way for the realization of watt-scale power broad-stripe(>100 μm) surface second-order metal grating end and surface-emitting DFB lasers and arrays with single frequency,single mode operation and high output beam quality.SHI JunXiu QIN Li LIU Yun ZHANG Nan ZHANG Jian ZHANG LiSen JIA Peng NING YongQiang ZENG YuGang ZHANG JinLong WANG LiJun 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,17:5
6Microvascular pathological features and changes in related injury factors in a rat acute blood stasis model显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To examine the microvascular pathological characteristics and changes in related injury factors in a rat model of acute blood stasis.METHODS: A total of 75 Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly and equally into a control group and four experimental groups assessed at different times after the induction of stasis(0, 1, 3 or 6 h after stasis)(n = 15). The acute blood stasis model was established through rat tail-vein injection of high-molecular-weight dextran. After Electrocardiograph(ECG) detection at predetermined times(0,1, 3 and 6 h after induction of stasis), the rats were sacrificed and blood and cardiac samples were harvested for analysis. Hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining and transmission electron microscopy were used for histopathological detection; an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was used to detect thromboxane B2(TXB2) and 6-keto-prostaglandin F1α(6-Keto-PGF1α) concentrations; a real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR) reaction system was used to detect intercellular adhesion molecule1(ICAM-1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule1(VCAM-1) m RNA expression; western blotting was used to detect vascular endothelial cadherin(VE-cadherin) protein expression.RESULTS: The ST segment in the ECG showed gradual elevation after induction of stasis and continued elevation at a high level at 3 and 6 h. The HE staining showed changes in myocardial cell necrosis and tissue dissociation after the induction of stasis, along with inflammatory infiltration. Results of transmission electron microscopy showed immediate changes in blood stasis and lumen occlusion in the microvasculature, along with endothelial cell swelling. After the induction of stasis, TXB2 concentrations gradually increased while 6-Keto-PGF1αconcentrations were immediately significantly reduced. The TXB2/6-Keto-PGF1αratio was maintained at a high level. ICAM-1 m RNA expression showed an unstable elevation while VCAM-1 m RNA expression was significantly reduced after the induction of stasis. Compared with the control group, VE-cadherin protein expression increased at 0 and 3 h after the induction of stasis, while no change occurred at 1 and 6 h.CONCLUSION: The pathological manifestations of acute blood stasis are microvascular blood retention, lumen stenosis and even occlusion. The condition is also called 'blood coagulation and weep' in Traditional Chinese Medicine. 7Shumian capsule(舒眠胶囊) improves symptoms of sleep mood disorder in convalescent patients of Corona Virus Disease 2019显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of Shumian capsule(舒眠胶囊)in improving the symptoms of insomnia,anxiety,depression,and other symptoms of convalescent patients of COVID-19.METHODS:Totally 200 patients were collected and randomly divided into experiment group(n=100)and control group(n=100).The control group was treated with Shumian capsule simulator,and the experiment group was treated with Shumian capsule.The improvement of TCM symptom score,the total effective rate and symptom disappearance rate of TCM symptoms in the two groups before and after treatment were observed,and the clinical effect was evaluated.RESULTS:One week after treatment,the scores of anxiety symptoms in the experiment group were significantly different from those in the control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the scores of insomnia and depression between the experiment group and the control group(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the total effective rate and disappearance rate of TCM symptoms of insomnia,anxiety and depression between the experiment group and the control group(P>0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment,the scores of insomnia,anxiety,depression and the total effective rate of TCM symptoms in the experiment group were significantly different from those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the disappearance rate of insomnia,anxiety and depression between the experiment group and the control group(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in heart rate,respiration,systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure between the experiment group and the control group(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:Shumian capsule can significantly improve the symptoms of insomnia,anxiety and depression in COVID-19’s convalescent patients with sleep and mood disorders.LI Li AN Xuedong ZHANG Qing TAO Junxiu HE Jing CHEN Yun LI Kejian LIU Ru GUO Juan ZHANG Hao TONG Xiaolin BA Yuanming 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,6:4
8In vitro and in vivo studies on the biodegradable behavior and bone response of Mg69Zn27Ca4 metal glass for treatment of bone defect显示文摘In the present work, the biodegradable behavior, cytocompatibility and osteogenesis activity of a Mg69Zn27Ca4 metal glass were investigated. Electrochemical test, immersion test, cytotoxicity test and histopathological evaluation were carried out. The results showed that there was a dense protective layer formed on the surface of Mg69Zn27Ca4 metal glass which could inhibit the degradation process in the Hank’s solution. In vitro cytotoxicity test showed that Mg69Zn27Ca4 metal glass had good biocompatibility. Histopathological evaluation showed that the degradation of Mg69Zn27Ca4 metal glass could promote the new bone formation with no obvious inflammatory reactions. After 2 months implantation, the diameter of the bone defect was reduced from the original φ6 mm to φ3.35 ± 0.40 mm with the degradation of Mg69Zn27Ca4 metal glass. 9Changes in nitric oxide,angiotensinⅡ,angiopoietin-like protein 4 mRNA,neuregulin 1 mRNA,and platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 in rats with acute blood stasis induced by high-molecular-weight dextran显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the influence of acute blood stasis on nitric oxide(NO), angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ), angiopoietin-like protein 4(ANGPTL4)m RNA, neuregulin 1(NRG-1) m RNA, and platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1(PECAM-1) in rats with stasis induced by high-molecular-weight dextran(HMWD).METHODS: Seventy-five Sprague Dawley rats were divided randomly into five groups(n = 15 in each group): control group, immediate group, 1 h group,3 h group, and 6 h group. A model of acute blood stasis was established via injection of HMWD into the tail vein. After performing electrocardiogram at the predetermined times according to the grouping, we collected blood and cardiac samples for hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining and histopathological examination via transmission electron microscopy. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect plasma levels of NO, AngⅡ, and fibrinogen. Real-time polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the expression of ANGPTL4 m RNA and NRG-1 m RNA. Immunohistochemical methods were used to detect PECAM-1 protein expression.RESULTS: The rat model of blood stasis showed blood retention in the capillary lumens. The ST segment showed gradual elevation, and was still elevated at 3 and 6 h after induction of blood stasis.HE staining showed myocardial cell necrosis and dissolution after modeling, along with basement membrane rupture and mitochondrial structural damage. Transmission electron microscopy showed endothelial cell swelling and an increase in absorption vesicles immediately after modeling. Endothelial cell apoptosis was increased at 3 and 6 h after modeling. Cardiac muscle fibers were disordered and intercalated discs were blurred immediately after modeling. There were massive numbers of dissolved cardiac muscle fibers, ruptured basement membranes, and mitochondrial structural damage at 3 and 6 h after modeling. NO plasma concentration was significantly reduced immediately and 1 h after modeling, while it was increased at 3 and 6 h.AngⅡ plasma concentration was decreased immediately after modeling, but increased at 1, 3, and6 h. Fibrinogen plasma concentration was significantly increased at immediate, 1, 3, and 6 h after modeling. PECAM-1 protein expression was obviously increased immediately after modeling, at 1, 6 h was found mild augment. Expression of Ang PTL4 m RNA was increased at immediate, 1, 3, and 6 h after modeling, and was found further augment at 3,and 6 h. Expression of NRG-1 m RNA was increased at immediate, 1, 3, and 6 h after modeling, and the strongest expression was at 1 h.CONCLUSION: The pathological manifestation of acute blood stasis is characterized by microvascular blood retention. 10SRSF1 inhibits autophagy through regulating Bcl-x splicing and interacting with PIK3C3 in lung cancer显示文摘Alternative splicing is a critical process to generate protein diversity.However,whether and how alternative splicing regulates autophagy remains largely elusive.Here we systematically identify the splicing factor SRSF1 as an autophagy suppressor.Specifically,SRSF1 inhibits autophagosome formation by reducing the accumulation of LC3-ⅡI and numbers of autophagosomes in different cell lines.Mechanistically,SRSF1 promotes the splicing of the long isoform of Bcl-x that interacts with Beclinl,thereby dissociating the Beclin1-PIK3C3 complex.In addition,SRSF1 also directly interacts with PIK3C3 to disrupt the interaction between Beclinl and PIK3C3.Consequently,the decrease of SRSF1 stabilizes the Beclinl and PIK3C3 complex and activates autophagy.Interestingly,SRSF1 can be degraded by starvation-and oxidative stresses-induced autophagy through interacting with LC3-Ⅱ,whereas reduced SRSF1 further promotes autophagy.This positive feedback is critical to inhibiting Gefitinib-resistant cancer cell progression both in vitro and in vivo.Consistently,the expression level of SRSF1 is inversely correlated to LC3 level in clinical cancer samples.Our study not only provides mechanistic insights of alternative splicing in autophagy regulation but also discovers a new regulatory role of SRSF1 in tumorigenesis,thereby offering a novel avenue for potential cancer therapeutics.Yuesheng Lv Wenjing Zhang Jinyao Zhao Bing Sun Yangfan Qi Haoyu Ji Chaoqun Chen Jinrui Zhang Junxiu Sheng Taishu Wang Daniel Dominguez Han Liu Quentin Liu Songshu Meng Xiaoling Li Yang Wang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,4:2
11Shugan Jieyu capsule(舒肝解郁胶囊) improve sleep and emotional disorder in coronavirus disease 2019 convalescence patients: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of the Shugan Jieyu capsule(舒肝解郁胶囊) on improving sleep and emotional disorder during Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) convalescence. METHODS: We conducted a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, and recruit 200 COVID-19 convalescence patients and then divide the subjects into two groups respectively: the experimental group(n = 100) and the control group(n = 100). Patients in the control group were given doses as a placebo, while those in the experimental group were given Shugan Jieyu capsule.The investigators mainly observed the differences between the two groups before and after treatment in terms of the rate of reduction and the rate of efficiency in Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD-17) total scores from baseline, and recorded the scores of Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA), Patient Health Questionnaire-15(PHQ-15), Insomnia Severity Index(ISI) and Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale at 2 week, the 4 week and the 6 week respectively after treatment, and compared the differences between the groups. And the occurrence of adverse events was recorded. RESULTS: After 6-week treatment, there were statistically significant differences in the rate of reduction as well as efficiency in HAMD-17 scores, HAMA Total Scores, PHQ-15 Score, ISI Score from baseline in the experimental group and control group(P < 0.05). There were 4 adverse events in the experimental group and 1 in the control group. 12Analysis of the Effect of Optical Properties of Black Carbon on Ozone in an Urban Environment at the Yangtze River Delta,China显示文摘Black carbon(BC)reduces the photolysis coefficient by absorbing solar radiation,thereby affecting the concentration of ozone(O_(3))near the ground.The influence of BC on O_(3)has thus received much attention.In this study,Mie scattering and the tropospheric Ultraviolet and Visible radiation model are used to analyze the effect of BC optical properties on radiation.Combined with data of O_(3)precursors in Nanjing in 2014,an EKMA curve is drawn,and the variations in O_(3)concentration are further investigated using a zero-dimensional box mechanism model(NCAR MM).When O_(3)precursors are unchanged,radiation and O_(3)show a highly similar tendency in response to changing BC optical properties(R=0.997).With the increase of modal radius,the attenuation of fresh BC to radiation and O_(3)first trends upward before decreasing.In the mixing process,the attenuation of BC to radiation and O_(3)presents an upward tendency with the increase of relative humidity but decreases rapidly before increasing slowly with increasing thickness of coating.In addition,mass concentration is another major factor.When the BC to PM_(2.5)ratio increases to 5%in Nanjing,the radiation decreases by approximately 0.13%-3.71%while O_(3)decreases by approximately 8.13%-13.11%.The radiative effect of BC not only reduces O_(3)concentration but also changes the EKMA curve.Compared with the NO_(x)control area,radiation has a significant influence on the VOCs control area.When aerosol optical depth(AOD)increases by 17.15%,the NO_(x)to VOCs ratio decreases by 8.27%,and part of the original NO_(x)control area is transferred to the VOCs control area.Junlin AN Huan LV Min XUE Zefeng ZHANG Bo HU Junxiu WANG Bin ZHU 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,7:1
