Myocardial infarction secondary prevention study (MISPS)显示文摘Background Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), especially herbal medicine, has been widely used in China and now is also being increasingly used in other countries for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Although many studies have demonstrated that certain Chinese herbal products are effective and safe for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, most of these lack sufficient quality. Therefore, large randomized clinical trials and further scientific research to determine its safety, effectiveness are necessary.QiShen YiQi Dripping Pills (QSYQDP) is a herbal preparation clinically used in the treatment and prevention of coronary artery disease. Preliminary observations have shown its safety and effectiveness. Methods/Design This randomized, controlled trial will recruit 3600 patients with a history of myocardial infarction. Patients will be randomized into two groups by a Centr-Randomized System. One group receives QSYQDP, the other group receive aspirin. This trial protocol will describe eligibility criteria, detailed information on the treatment definition, blinding, endpoints, statistical methods, sample size determination, data management, legal aspects, and the current status of the trial. Discussion This trial is one of the first randomized, controlled clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese herbal medicine in the treatment and secondary prevention of coronary artery disease. The results of this study should help to define the role of TCM in modern medical care, as well as to provide the management strategy for CAD patients in China and other countries. | Hongcai SHANG Guohua DAI Junhua HANG Yaozu XIANG Yang WANG Junping ZHANG Wuxun DU Jingyuan MAO Chen YAO Weiliang WENG Tiancai WEN Boli ZHANG | 2006 | Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2006,3,2: | 14

Complete genome analysis of Ketogulonigenium sp. WB0104显示文摘Ketogulonigenium sp. may convert L-sorbose into 2-keto-L-gulonic acid, the vitamin C precursor. The genome of Ketogulonigenium sp. WB0104 consists of a circular 2765030 bp chromo- some with 61.69% G+C content and two circular plasmids of 267968 and 242707 bp. The genome contains 2727 open reading frames (ORFs). The systems of replication, transcription, translation, carbohydrate and energy metabolism are intact, but the repair system is incomplete. About 640 predicted ORFs have been found to encode transporter pro- teins, which account for about one fourth of total predicted ORFs, noticeably higher than other docu- mented bacteria. This may be due to the fact that WB0104 adapts to soil circumstance. | YANG Fan JIA Qian XIONG Zhaohui ZHANG Xiaobing WU Hongtao ZHAO Ying YANG Jian ZHU Junping DONG Jie XUE Ying SUN Lilian SHEN Yan JIN Qi | 2006 | Chinese Science Bulletin2006,51,8: | 6
Oxidation behavior of Mo-Si-B alloys at medium-to-high temperatures显示文摘Continuous exploration of high-temperature structural materials is being driven by the needs of gasturbine engines capable of withstanding the high-temperature environment.Relatively low melting points of currently applied superalloys restrain the further improvement of service tempe ratures. With higher melting tempe ratures above 2000℃,Mo-Si-B alloys are regarded as a new generation of ultrahightemperature structural materials. However, oxidation is a concern for the industrial application of Mo-Si-B alloys. Therefore,an in-depth understanding of the oxidation mechanisms may contribute to solving this issue, whereas relevant reviews about their recent advances are lacking. In the current work,a comprehensively systematic review about the oxidation behaviors of Mo-Si-B alloys is described for this purpose. | Kunming Pan Yanping Yang Shizhong Wei Honghui Wu Zhili Dong Yuan Wu Shuize Wang Laiqi Zhang Junping Lin Xinping Mao | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,1: | 5
DC-CIK联合化疗治疗非小细胞肺癌的临床疗效评价(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of the study was to evaluate the safety and therapeutic effects of autologous dendritic cells co-cultured with cytokine-induced killer cells (DC-CIK) combined with chemotherapy in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Methods: Fifty patients with advanced NSCLC (stages III to IV), who had received therapies in our Center (Department of Biotherapy, Affiliated to Cancer Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, Taiyuan, China) from August 2008 to January 2010, were treated by DC-CIK + chemotherapy as the combined treatment group; fifty advanced NSCLC patients treated with chemotherapy at the same time served as controls. The immunologic function, short-term therapeutic effects, the 1-year survival rate, the life quality, the chemotherapy side effects were compared between the two groups, the safety and therapeutic effects of DC-CIK cells therapy were observed too. Results: There was no obvious change of subsets of T cells in peripheral blood before and after therapy in DC-CIK + chemotherapy group, and IFN-γ was improved after therapy in this group (P < 0.05); in chemotherapy alone group, the ratios of CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+, CD3-CD56+ cells and the secretion of IL-2, TNF-α decreased significantly after therapy (P < 0.05); the ratios of CD3+CD8+, CD3+CD56+ were improved after cell culture (P < 0.05). The disease control rate (DCR) of DC-CIK + chemotherapy group was higher than that in the chemotherapy alone group (78.0% vs 56.0%, P < 0.05); the 1-year survival rates of DC-CIK + chemotherapy group and chemotherapy alone group were 50% and 44% respectively, had no significant difference. Compared with chemotherapy alone group, the occurrence of chemotherapy side effects (including bone marrow suppression, nausea and vomiting, peripheral nerve toxicity) was less in the DC-CIK + chemotherapy group (P < 0.05). The physical and appetite were better in DC-CIK + chemotherapy group after therapy. Conclusion: To compare with simple chemotherapy, DC-CIK + chemotherapy for advanced NSCLC is safe and effective, and it can improve patients' life quality and remission rate, and prolong their survival time. | Junping Zhang Guanghua Mao Yaping Han Xiaoling Yang Huijing Feng Linzi Jia Ting Zhi Yan Xiao Libin Zhang Jiangtao Wang Tianliang Shi | 2012 | The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2012,11,2: | 3
Enriched Opportunistic Pathogens Revealed by Metagenomic Sequencing Hint Potential Linkages between Pharyngeal Microbiota and COVID-19显示文摘As a respiratory tract virus,SARS-CoV-2 infected people through contacting with the upper respiratory tract first.Previous studies indicated that microbiota could modulate immune response against pathogen infection. In the present study,we performed metagenomic sequencing of pharyngeal swabs from eleven patients with COVID-19 and eleven Non-COVID-19 patients who had similar symptoms such as fever and cough.Through metagenomic analysis of the above two groups and a healthy group from the public data, there are 6502 species identified in the samples.Specifically, the Pielou index indicated a lower evenness of the microbiota in the COVID-19 group than that in the Non-COVID-19 group.Combined with the linear discriminant analysis(LDA)and the generalized linear model,eighty-one bacterial species were found with increased abundance in the COVID-19 group, where 51 species were enriched more than 8 folds. The top three enriched genera were Streptococcus,Prevotella and Campylobacter containing some opportunistic pathogens.More interestingly, through experiments,we found that two Streptococcus strains,S.suis and S.agalactiae, could stimulate the expression of ACE2 of Vero cells in vitro, which may promote SARS-CoV-2 infection. Therefore, these enriched pathogens in the pharynxes of COVID-19 patients may involve in the virus-host interactions to affect SARS-CoV-2 infection and cause potential secondary bacterial infections through changing the expression of the viral receptor ACE2 and/or modulate the host’s immune system. | Dongyan Xiong Caroline Muema Xiaoxu Zhang Xinming Pan Jin Xiong Hang Yang Junping Yu Hongping Wei | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,5: | 3

Surface modification of an up-conversion luminescence material by overcoating with SiO_2 and its characterization显示文摘The surface of an up-conversion luminescence material was modified by overcoating with SiO2, which was syn- thesized from a hydrolysis progress of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) in alkalescent condition. By analyzing the hydrolyzed mechanism of TEOS, it was found that there was not only physical adsorption but also chemical bonding between the up-conversion material and SiO2. At the same time, some adsorption bands at 1100, 475, 950, and 3500 cm?1 were found by FI-IR, which were the characteristic bands of Si?OH and Si?O?Si. By analyzing the surface elements of the coated material by XPS, it was found that its surface only included Si, O, and C elements, and not F and Y. In the picture of XRD, there was no additional peak after surface modification, suggesting that the silica shell was amorphous. The small peak at 2θ = 23° in the X-ray diffraction pattern of the coated material was caused by the amorphous SiO2 shell, and the TEM image also proved that the surface of the material was successfully modified by overcoating with SiO2. The amount of hydroxyls was then increased on the surface of the material, which made it easy to connect with other active groups. | CUI Lili LIU Jiemin FAN Huili XU Xiaowei YANG Min XIAO Junping | 2007 | Rare Metals2007,26,3: | 2
Long- versus short-interval follow-up after resection of hepatocellular carcinoma: a retrospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Average postoperative follow-up intervals vary in patients undergoing hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)resection because of limited evidence regarding the optimal interval. We aimed to compare the associations of long-versus short-interval follow-up with survival and recurrence in risk-stratified HCC patients. Methods:We performed a retrospective cohort study between 2007 and 2014.In total,1227 patients treated by curative resection of Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage A or B HCC were stratified as having a low(n=865)or high(n=362)risk of early recurrence(within the first 2 years after resection)based on prognostic factors identified by the least absolute shrinkage and selection operation algorithm.Patients were further classified into long-interval(every 4-6 months)and short-interval(every 2-4 months)follow-up subgroups based on follow-up within 2 years after resection(low risk, long vs.short:n=390 vs.n=475;high-risk,long vs.short:n=149 vs.n=213).Results:The short-interval follow-up did not prolong overall survival in either the low-risk(hazard ratio[HR]=1.152;95%confidence interval[CI]0.720-1.843)or high-risk(HR=1.213;95%CI 0.702-2.094)patients.Early recurrence occurred in 401 patients. For high-risk patients, the short-interval follow-up subgroup exhibited smaller intrahepatic recurrence than did the long-interval group(2.6 vs.3.5 cm,respectively,P=0.045).However,no significant difference in the rate of Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage 0/A recurrence was found between the long-and short-interval follow-up groups in either low-or high-risk patients(63.1%vs.68.2%,respectively,P=0.580;31.3%vs.41.5%,respec-tively,P=0.280).The rate of curative intent treatment for recurrence(34.5%vs.39.7%,respectively,P=0.430;14.6%vs.20.3%,respectively,P=0.388)was also similar between the follow-up groups for low-and high-risk patients. Conclusions:Shortening the postoperative follow-up interval from every 4-6 months to every 2-4 months within the first 2 years after resection did not increase the rate of curative intent treatment or prolong the overall survival of patients with Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage A or B HCC. | Wei He Yun Zheng Ruhai Zou Jingxian Shen Junping Yang Jiliang Qiu Qiang Tao Wenwu Liu Zhiwen Yang Yuanping Zhang Binkui Li Yunfei Yuan | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 2
Anti-proliferative effect of the extract of Guangzao (Fructus Choerospondiatis) on cultured rat cardiac fibroblasts显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To ascertain if total flavonoids of Guangzao(Fructus Choerospondiatis)(TFFC) extracted from Guangzao(Fructus Choerospondiatis) can inhibit angiotensin Ⅱ-induced proliferation of cardiac fibroblasts(CFs).METHODS: CFs were cultured by the differential attachment method. A model of cell proliferation was established by stimulation with Ang Ⅱ. Cardiac fibroblasts growth was determined using a hemocytometer. Cell proliferation was detected by methyl thiazole tetrazolium. Lactate dehydrogenase activitywas measured by chemical colorimetric method.RESULTS: Proliferation of TFFC-treated(25, 50,100 mg/L) fibroblasts was significantly less than that of cells in the angiotensin Ⅱ group(P < 0.01),and TFFC inhibited proliferation in a dose-dependent manner. These inhibitory effects were partly blocked by pretreatment with NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester(L-NAME) and 1H-[1,2,4]-oxadiazole-[4,3-a]-quinoxalin-1-one(ODQ).CONCLUSION: TFFC inhibited angiotensinⅡ-induced proliferation of cardiac fibroblasts via a mechanism that probably involves activation of the NO-cyclic guanosine monophosphate signaling pathway. | Jia Lei Yang Yumin Zhu Deli Gao Xiaohui Wang Xiaoling Xing Huihui Bao Junping Shu Liang | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,6: | 2
An efficient CRISPR/Cas9 platform for targeted genome editing in rose(Rosa hybrida)显示文摘The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-related nuclease 9(Cas9)system enables precise, simple editing of genes in many animals and plants. However, this system has not been applied to rose(Rosa hybrida)due to the genomic complexity and lack of an efficient transformation technology for this plant. Here,we established a platform for screening single-guide RNAs(sgRNAs)with high editing efficiency for CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing in rose using suspension cells. We used the Arabidopsis thaliana U6-29 promoter, which showed high activity for driving sgRNA expression,to modify the CRISPR/Cas9 system. We used our highly efficient optimized CRISPR/Cas9 system to successfully edit RhEIN2,encoding an indispensable component of the ethylene signaling pathway, resulting in ethylene insensitivity in rose. Our optimized CRISPR/Cas9 system provides a powerful toolbox for functional genomics, molecular breeding, and synthetic biology in rose. | Chengpeng Wang Yang Li Na Wang Qin Yu Yonghong Li Junping Gao Xiaofeng Zhou Nan Ma | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,4: | 1

An international Delphi consensus statement on metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease and risk of chronic kidney disease显示文摘Background:With the rising global prevalence of fatty liver disease related to metabolic dysfunction, the association of this common liver condition with chronic kidney disease(CKD)has become increasingly evident. In 2020,the more inclusive term metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)was proposed to replace the term non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).The observed association between MAFLD and CKD and our understanding that CKD can be a consequence of underlying metabolic dysfunction support the notion that individuals with MAFLD are at higher risk of having and developing CKD compared with those without MAFLD.However,to date, there is no appropriate guidance on CKD in individuals with MAFLD.Furthermore, there has been little attention paid to the link between MAFLD and CKD in the Nephrology community. Methods and Results:Using a Delphi-based approach,a multidisciplinary panel of 50 international experts from 26 countries reached a consensus on some of the open research questions regarding the link between MAFLD and CKD.Conclusions:This Delphi-based consensus statement provided guidance on the epidemiology, mechanisms, management and treatment of MAFLD and CKD,as well as the relationship between the severity of MAFLD and risk of CKD,which establish a framework for the early prevention and management of these two common and interconnected diseases. | Dan-Qin Sun Giovanni Targher Christopher D.Byrne David C.Wheeler Vincent Wai-Sun Wong Jian-Gao Fan Herbert Tilg Wei-Jie Yuan Christoph Wanner Xin Gao Michelle T.Long Mehmet Kanbay Mindie H.Nguyen Sankar D.Navaneethan Yusuf Yilmaz Yuli Huang Rino A.Gani Pierluigi Marzuillo Jérôme Boursier Huijie Zhang Chan-Young Jung Jin Chai Luca Valenti George Papatheodoridis Giovanni Musso Yu-Jun Wong Mohamed El-Kassas Nahum Méndez-Sánchez Silvia Sookoian Michael Pavlides Ajay Duseja Adriaan G.Holleboom Junping Shi Wah-Kheong Chan Yasser Fouad Junwei Yang Sombat Treeprasertsuk Helena Cortez-Pinto Masahide Hamaguchi Manuel Romero-Gomez Mamun Al Mahtab Ponsiano Ocama Atsushi Nakajima Chunsun Dai Mohammed Eslam Lai Wei Jacob George Ming-Hua Zheng | 2023 | Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2023,12,3: | 1
