2Zircon U-Pb dating confirms existence of a Caledonian scheelite-bearing aplitic vein in the Penggongmiao granite batholith, South Hunan显示文摘Granite at Penggongmiao is a large batholith in the Nanling Range, with an outcrop area of over 900 km 2 . There are many scheelite-quartz veins around the granite. LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating was carried out for zircons from the granite. The middlecoarse-grained biotite granite has U-Pb ages of 435 to 436 Ma. Ages of 426.5±2.5 Ma were obtained for aplitic dyke cross-cutting the granite. The scheelite of magmatic origin in the aplite dyke was identified from petrographic investigation. This demonstrates that W-bearing granites of Early Paleozoic (corresponding to the Caledonian orogensis in the traditional sense) occur in the Nanling Range. This finding has important implications for the ore-forming potential of Paleozoic granites and on the extent of Mesozoic mineralization. Thus it merits performing an intensive study of Paleozoic granites in South China. 3Observation and analysis of near-surface atmospheric aerosol optical properties in urban Beijing显示文摘Year-round measurements of the mass concentration and optical properties of fine aerosols(PM_(2.5)) from June 2009 to May 2010 at an urban site in Beijing were analyzed.The annual mean values of the PM_(2.5) mass concentration,absorption coefficient(Ab),scattering coefficient(Sc) and single scattering albedo(SSA)at 525 nm were 67±66μg/m^3,64 ±62 Mm^(-1),360 ±405 Mm^(-1) and 0.82 ±0.09,respectively.The bulk mass absorption efficiency and scattering efficiency of the PM_(2.5) at 525 nm were 0.78 m^2/g and 5.55 m^2/g,respectively.The Ab and Sc showed a similar diurnal variation with a maximum at night and a minimum in the afternoon,whereas SSA displayed an opposite diurnal pattern.Significant increases in the Ab and Sc were observed in pollution episodes caused by the accumulation of pollutants from both local and regional sources under unfavorable weather conditions.Aerosol loadings in dust events increased by several times in the spring,which had limited effects on the Ab and Sc due to the low absorption and scattering efficiency of dust particles.The frequency of haze days was the highest in autumn because of the high aerosol absorption and scattering under unfavorable weather conditions.The daily PM_(2.5)concentration should be controlled to a level lower than 64 μg/m^3 to prevent the occurrence of haze days according to its exponentially decreased relationship with visibility.Junshan Jing Yunfei Wu Jun Tao Huizheng Che Xiangao Xia Xiaochun Zhang Peng Yan Deming Zhao Leiming Zhang 2015Particuology2015,13,1:16
4Activation of sonic hedgehog signaling pathway is an independent potential prognosis predictor in human hepatocellular carcinoma patients显示文摘Objective:The activation of hedgehog(HH) pathway is implicated in the development of human malignancies including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,the clinical impact of HH activation in HCC patients is still unclear.This study was conducted to confirm whether the expression of HH pathway components was associated with HCC progression and clinical outcome.Methods:This study was a sample-expanded and prolonged follow up of one of our previous studies.It included 46 HCC patients who underwent surgical treatment from 2002 to 2005.The expression of sonic HH(SHH),patched-1(PTCH1),smoothened(SMOH) and glioma-associated oncogene-1(GLI1) genes in tumor and adjacent normal tissues extracted from the patients were examined by reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) to explore the relationship between these genes and the clinical prognosis of HCC.Results:The expression levels of SHH,PTCH1,SMOH and GLI1 in HCC tissues were 60.87%,50.00%,32.61% and 54.35%,respectively.The expression levels of SHH-related molecules were relatively intense in cancer tissue,but insignificantly correlated with any clinicopathological factors of tumor.Transcriptional factor GLI1 was the only molecule associated with poor prognosis among the HCC patients.The expression of GLI1 gene in tumor tissues was significantly related with disease-free survival(DFS)(P=0.042) and overall survival(OS)(P=0.030).The simultaneous expression of GLI1 in tumor and adjacent normal liver tissues correlated with DFS(P<0.029) and OS(P<0.025).Conclusions:HH signaling activation is an important event in the development of human HCC.The expression of GLI1 in SHH pathway is possibly involved in HCC progression,which may be a useful prognostic indicator of HCC.Li Che Yan-Hua Yuan Jun Jia Jun Ren 2012Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2012,24,4:15
5Effects of Yiqi Huoxue Recipe (益气活血方) and Coxsackie Virus B Type 3 on the Expression of Ribosomal Protein S20 in Rat Cardiac Myocytes显示文摘<正>Objective:To study the effects of Yiqi Huoxue Recipe(益气活血方) and Coxsackie B virus type 3(CVB3) on the expression of ribosomal protein S20 in rat cardiac myocytes,to explore the pathogenesis of myocarditis induced by CVB3 and the mechanism of Yiqi Huoxue Recipe on gene level,and to further investigate whether Yiqi Huoxue Recipe is an effective prescription for CVB3 myocarditis.Methods:A modified suppression subtractive hybridization(SSH) was used to isolate differentially expressed genes between the CVB3 infection group and the treatment group with Yiqi Huoxue Recipe.The results were further verified by fluorescence RT-PCR.Results:The results of SSH showed that the gene expression of ribosomal protein S20 in the treatment group was higher than that in the CVB3 infection group(P<0.05),which agreed with the results of fluorescent RT-PCR.Conclusion:Down-regulation of ribosomal protein S20 mRNA expression might be one of the mechanisms in CVB3 myocarditis,and Yiqi Huoxue Recipe could achieve the treatment of viral myocarditis by regulating the expression of ribosomal protein S20.ZHANG Ming-xue ZHANG Yu-mei Esther Jun HE Wei CHE Hong-hua GU Ping 2011Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2011,17,5:8

7Intelligent coding metasurface holograms by physics-assisted unsupervised generative adversarial network显示文摘Intelligent coding metasurface is a kind of information-carrying metasurface that can manipulate electromagnetic waves and associate digital information simultaneously in a smart way.One of its widely explored applications is to develop advanced schemes of dynamic holographic imaging.By now,the controlling coding sequences of the metasurface are usually designed by performing iterative approaches,including the Gerchberg–Saxton(GS)algorithm and stochastic optimization algorithm,which set a large barrier on the deployment of the intelligent coding metasurface in many practical scenarios with strong demands on high efficiency and capability.Here,we propose an efficient non-iterative algorithm for designing intelligent coding metasurface holograms in the context of unsupervised conditional generative adversarial networks(cGANs),which is referred to as physics-driven variational auto-encoder(VAE)cGAN(VAE-cGAN).Sharply different from the conventional cGAN with a harsh requirement on a large amount of manual-marked training data,the proposed VAE-cGAN behaves in a physics-driving way and thus can fundamentally remove the difficulties in the conventional cGAN.Specifically,the physical operation mechanism between the electric-field distribution and metasurface is introduced to model the VAE decoding module of the developed VAE-cGAN.Selected simulation and experimental results have been provided to demonstrate the state-of-the-art reliability and high efficiency of our VAE-cGAN.It could be faithfully expected that smart holograms could be developed by deploying our VAE-cGAN on neural network chips,finding more valuable applications in communication,microscopy,and so on.Che Liu Wen Ming Yu Qian Ma Lianlin Li Tie Jun Cui 2021Photonics Research2021,9,4:7

9Intelligent metasurfaces:control,communication and computing显示文摘Controlling electromagnetic waves and information simultaneously by information metasurfaces is of central importance in modern society.Intelligent metasurfaces are smart platforms to manipulate the wave-information-matter interactions without manual intervention by synergizing engineered ultrathin structures with active devices and algorithms,which evolve from the passive composite materials for tailoring wave-matter interactions that cannot be achieved in nature.Here,we review the recent progress of intelligent metasurfaces in wave-information-matter controls by providing the historical background and underlying physical mechanisms.Then we explore the application of intelligent metasurfaces in developing novel wireless communication architectures,with particular emphasis on metasurface-modulated backscatter wireless communications.We also explore the wave-based computing by using the intelligent metasurfaces,focusing on the emerging research direction in intelligent sensing.Finally,we comment on the challenges and highlight the potential routes for the further developments of the intelligent metasurfaces for controls,communications and computing.Lianlin Li Hanting Zhao Che Liu Long Li Tie Jun Cui 2022eLight2022,2,1:7
10Comparison of Histological, Microbiological, and Molecular Methods in Diagnosis of Patients with TBLN Having Different Anti-TB Treatment Background显示文摘Objective The influence of anti-tuberculosis(TB) treatment history on tuberculous lymphadenitis(TBLN) diagnosis is unclear. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the diagnostic methods, including histology, microbiology, and molecular tests, used for TBLN. Methods In this study, suspected patients with TBLN and having different anti-TB treatment background were enrolled. All the samples were tested simultaneously by histology, Ziehl-Neelsen(ZN) staining, mycobacterial culture(culture), Xpert MTB/RIF(xpert), real-time PCR, and high-resolution melting curve PCR(HRM). Thereafter, the performance of these methods on samples with different anti-TB treatment background was assessed. Results In our study, 89 patients were prospectively included 82 patients with TBLN and 7 with other diseases. The overall sensitivities of Xpert, real-time PCR, histology, ZN staining, and culture were 86.6%, 69.5%, 58.5%, 43.9%, and 22.0%, respectively. The anti-TB treatment history revealed dramatic influences on the sensitivity of culture(P < 0.0001). In fact, the treatment that lasted over 3 months also influenced the sensitivity of Xpert(P < 0.05). However, the treatment history did not affect the performance of remaining tests(P > 0.05). For rifampicin drug susceptibility test(DST), the anti-TB treatment showed only significant influence on the success rate of culture DST(P = 0.001), but not on those of Xpert and HRM tests(P > 0.05). 11Intelligent metasurface imager and recognizer显示文摘There is an increasing need to remotely monitor people in daily life using radio-frequency probe signals.However,conventional systems can hardly be deployed in real-world settings since they typically require objects to either deliberately cooperate or carry a wireless active device or identification tag.To accomplish complicated successive tasks using a single device in real time,we propose the simultaneous use of a smart metasurface imager and recognizer,empowered by a network of artificial neural networks(ANNs)for adaptively controlling data flow.Here,three ANNs are employed in an integrated hierarchy,transforming measured microwave data into images of the whole human body,classifying specifically designated spots(hand and chest)within the whole image,and recognizing human hand signs instantly at a Wi-Fi frequency of 2.4 GHz.Instantaneous in situ full-scene imaging and adaptive recognition of hand signs and vital signs of multiple non-cooperative people were experimentally demonstrated.We also show that the proposed intelligent metasurface system works well even when it is passively excited by stray Wi-Fi signals that ubiquitously exist in our daily lives.The reported strategy could open up a new avenue for future smart cities,smart homes,human-device interaction interfaces,health monitoring,and safety screening free of visual privacy issues.Lianlin Li Ya Shuang Qian Ma Haoyang Li Hanting Zhao Menglin Wei Che Liu Chenglong Hao Cheng-Wei Qiu Tie Jun Cui 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:5

17Leucine modulates the IPEC-J2 cell proteome associated with cell proliferation, metabolism and phagocytosis显示文摘Leucine can affect intestinal protein expressions, and improve mucosal immune function. However, little study has been conducted to determine the change of protein component by leucine treatment in intestine epithelial cells. The present study was to cover the key proteins and cell pathways that could be regulated by leucine treatment in porcine intestinal epithelial cell line(IPEC-J2) cells with the approach of proteome analysis. A total number of 3,211 proteins were identified in our approach by searching the database of Uniprot sus scrofa. Among identified proteins, there were 101 proteins expressed differently between control group and leucine group. Compared with the control group, there were 50 up-regulated proteins and 51 down-regulated proteins in leucine group. In these proteins, leucine treatment decreased the expression of some proteins including pyruvate kinase, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase,E3 ubiquitin ligase, cathepsin D, caspase 3 and caspase 6, and increased the levels of some proteins, such as some eukaryotic translation initiation factors, ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase, DNA-related RNA polymerase II, urokinase plasminogen activator, cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2 b, Mut L homolog 1,5-methylcytosine binding domain 4, polymerase d, a-tubulin, syntaxin 18, Ras homolog D, actin related protein 2/3 complex and cofilin. Via the analysis of Gene Ontology and pathways, these proteins in IPECJ2 cells were related with some physiological functions, such as protein metabolism, glycolysis, cell proliferation, apoptosis and phagocytosis. 19Endoscopic submucosal dissection of a large colonic lipoma:Report of two cases显示文摘A colonic lipoma is a very rare benign tumor that is usually asymptomatic and is found incidentally by colonoscopy.Patients with a large colonic lipoma may present with symptoms such as abdominal pain,bleeding,and colonic obstruction or intussusceptions.We report two patients with large colonic lipomas and symptoms.Standard endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) was performed to remove the lipomas instead of conventional surgical bowel resection.No complications were observed during or after the procedure.The tumors were resected en bloc,and the patients were discharged 2 d after ESD with a regular diet.The results indicate that ESD can be applied as safe and effective treatment for a large colonic lipoma.Jae Min Lee Jeong Ho Kim Myungsung Kim Jun Hyoung Kim Young Bae Lee Jae Hyuk Lee Che Wan Lim 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,10:2
20High-level expression and purification of Plutella xylostella acetylcholinesterase in Pichia pastoris and its potential application显示文摘The acetylcholinesterase 2(AChE2)cloned from Plutella xylostella was first successfully expressed in methylotrophic yeast Pichia pastoris GS115.One transformant with high-level expression of the recombinant AChE(rAChE,23.2 U mL^(-1)in supernatant)was selected by plating on increasing concentrations of antibiotic G418 and by using a simple and specific chromogenic reaction with indoxyl acetate as a substrate.The maximum production of r ACh E reached about 11.8 mg of the enzyme protein per liter of culture.The r ACh E was first precipitated with ammonium sulfate(50%saturation)and then purified with procainamide affinity column chromatography.The enzyme was purified 12.1-fold with a yield of 22.8%and a high specific activity of 448.3 U mg^(-1).It was sensitive to inhibition by methamidophos and pirimicarb,the calculated 50% inhibitory concentration(IC_(50))values of the two pesticides were 0.357 and 0.888 mg L^(-1),respectively,and the calculated 70% inhibitory concentration(IC_(70))values were 0.521 and 0.839 mg L^(-1),respectively.The results suggested that it has a potential application in the detection of pesticide residues.LIU Niu CHE Jun LAI Duo WEN Jin-jun XU Han-hong 2017Journal of Integrative Agriculture2017,16,6:2
