| 3 | Highly efficient production of 2,5-dihydroxymethylfuran from biomass-derived 5-hydroxymethylfurfural over an amorphous and mesoporous zirconium phosphonate catalyst显示文摘The development of high-efficiency and low-cost catalysts is very crucial for the MeerweinPonndorf-Verley (MPV) reduction of biomass-derived 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) into 2,5-dihydroxymethylfuran (DHMF). In this work, an amorphous and mesoporous zirconium phosphonate catalyst (Zr-DTMP), which is a zirconium-containing organic-inorganic nanohybrid, was successfully designed and synthesized by the simple assembly of zirconium tetrachloride (ZrCl4) and diethylene triaminepenta(methylene phosphonic acid)(DTMP). Satisfactorily, when Zr-DTMP was employed for the MPV reduction of HMF in the presence of 2-butanol (secBuOH), DHMF yield could be achieved as 96.5% in 3 h under a relatively mild reaction temperature of 140℃. Systematic investigations indicated that this high catalytic activity should be mainly due to the cooperative role of enhancive Lewis acid site (Zr4+) and Lewis base site (O2-) in activating the carbonyl group of HMF and dissociating the hydroxyl group of secBuOH, respectively. Additionally, Zr-DTMP showed excellent catalytic stability, when it was successively used 5 recycles, its surface characteristics and textural properties still remained almost unchanged, and so, the catalytic activity was not obviously affected. | 7 | Modeling transport of arsenic through modified granular natural siderite filters for arsenic removal显示文摘Groundwater arsenic (As) contamination is a hot issue,which is severe health concern worldwide.Recently,many Fe-based adsorbents have been used for As removal from solutions.Modified granular natural siderite (MGNS),a special hybrid Fe(II)/Fe(III) system,had higher adsorption capacity for As(III) than As(V),but the feasibility of its application in treating high-As groundwater is still unclear.In combination with transport modeling,laboratory column studies and field pilot tests were performed to reveal both mechanisms and factors controlling As removal by MGNS-filled filters.Results show that weakly acid pH and discontinuous treatment enhanced As(III) removal,with a throughput of 8700 bed volumes (BV) of 1.0 mg/L As(III) water at breakthrough of 10 mg/L As at pH 6.Influent HCO3^- inhibited As removal by the filters.Iron mineral species,SEM and XRD patterns of As-loading MGNS show that the important process contributing to high As(III) removal was the mineral transformation from siderite to goethite in the filter.The homogeneous surface diffusion modeling (HSDM) shows that competition between As(III) and HCO3^- with adsorption sites on MGNS was negligible.The inhibition of HCO3^- on As(III) removal was connected to inhibition of siderite dissolution and mineral transformation.Arsenic loadings were lower in field pilot tests than those in the laboratory experiments,showing that high concentrations of coexisting anions (especially HCO3^-- and SiO4^4-),high pH,low EBCT,and low groundwater temperature decreased As removal.It was suggested that acidification and aeration of high- As groundwater and discontinuous treatment would improve the MGNS filter performance of As removal from real high-As groundwater. | Fulan Li Huaming Guo Kai Zhao Wei Xiu Jiaxing Shen Yi Chen | 2019 | Geoscience Frontiers2019,10,5: | 1 |

| 11 | Bandgap narrowing and polarization enhancement in(K,Na,Li)(Nb,Sb,Ta)O_(3)+x%Fe_(2)O_(3) lead-free ceramics for photovoltaic applications显示文摘The need for ferroelectric materials with both narrow bandgaps(Eg)and large remanent polarization(Pr)remains a key challenge to the development of high-efficiency ferroelectric photovoltaic(FPV)devices.In this work,[(K_(0.43)Na_(0.57))_(0.94)Li_(0.06)][(Nb_(0.94)Sb_(0.06))_(0.95)Ta_(0.05)]O_(3)(KNLNST)-based lead-free ceramics with narrow Eg and large P are obtained via Fe_(2)O_(3) doping.By optimizing the level of Fe_(2)O_(3) doping,a KNLNST+1.3%Fe_(2)O_(3) ceramic is fabricated that simultaneously possesses a narrow Eg of 1.74 eV and a large Pr of 27.05μC/cm^(2).These values are much superior to those of undoped KNLNST ceramics(Eg=3.1 eV and Pr=17.73μC/cm^(2)).While the large P stems from the increment of the volume ratio between the orthorhombic and tetragonal phases(Vo/VT)in KNLNST ceramics by proper amount of Fe3+doping,the narrow Eg is attributed to the coupling interaction between the Fe3+dopants and the B-site Sb3+host ions.Moreover,a switchable photovoltaic effect caused by the ferroelectric depolarization electric field(Edp)is observed in the KNLNST+1.3%Fe_(2)O_(3) ceramic-based device.Thanks to the narrower Eg and larger P,of the doped ceramic,the photovoltaic performance of the corresponding device(open-circuit voltage(Voc)=-5.28 V and short-circuit current density(JSC)=0.051μA/cm^(2))under a downward poling state is significantly superior to that of an undoped KNLNST-based device(Voc=-0.46 V and Jse=0.039μA/cm^(2)).This work offers a feasible approach to developing ferroelectric materials with narrow bandgaps and large Pr for photovoltaic applications. | Jian Chen Jiaxing Mao Zihui Wang Yanhui Dong Jinming Guo Mingkai Li Yi Zhang Yinmei Lu Yunbin He | 2023 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,7: | 0 |

| 14 | Albumin-based multidrug delivery system enriched in Golgi apparatus against metastatic breast cancer显示文摘Breast cancer and metastasis remain great challenges in clinical therapy.Compared with monotherapy,combination therapy,especially mediated by nanomedicine delivery strategy,significantly improves the therapeutic efficacy and reduces undesired toxicity.Cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2)inhibitors are widely used for adjuvant chemotherapy because COX-2 is overexpressed in virtually all cancer cell lines to regulate tumor progression by catalyzing prostaglandin E2(PGE2)synthesis.This drug combination strategy is still required to be improved due to some unsatisfactory clinical trial results.Intricate processes of tumor growth and metastasis are orchestrated by multiple proteins in addition to COX-2,which are modified and transported by Golgi apparatus.Hence,disrupting the structure and function of Golgi apparatus can inhibit the secretion of tumor-related proteins and further suppress carcinoma progression and metastasis.Since COX-2 is also enriched within Golgi apparatus in tumor cells,COX-2 inhibitors and Golgi disrupting agents can be co-delivered to Golgi apparatus to maximize the synergy.In this work,we developed a human serum albumin(HSA)nanoparticle encapsulating pirarubicin(THP),retinoic acid(RA),and indomethacin(IMC),called TIR-HSA,which was observed to be localized in Golgi complex of 4T1 cells.Owing to the synergistic effect of these three drugs,TIR-HSA inhibited the proliferation,migration,and invasion of tumor cells,enhanced the apoptotic rate,and improved the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment,which remarkably regressed the tumor growth and metastasis and prolonged the survival period of 4T1-bearing mice. | Chenqi Guo Xiong Peng Ting Zhao Jiaxing Feng Zhaofei Guo Mengying Wu Rongping Zhang Xun Sun Yuan Huang Zhirong Zhang Tao Gong | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 0 |
| 15 | Improving tree health assessment accuracy at low temperatures:considering the effect of trunk ice content on electrical resistance and stress wave tomography显示文摘Accurate decay detection and health assessment of trees at low temperatures is an important issue for forest management and ecology in cold areas.Low temperature ice formation on tree health assessment is unknown.Because electric resistance tomography and stress wave tomography are two widely used methods for the detection of tree decay,this study investigated the effect of ice content on trunk electrical resistance and stress wave velocity to improve tree health assessment accuracy.Moisture content,trunk electrical resistance and stress wave velocity using time domain reflectometry were carried out on Larix gmelinii and Populus simonii.Ice content is based on moisture content data.The ice content of both species showed a trend of increasing and then decreasing.This was opposite with ambient temperatures.With the decrease of temperatures,daily average ice content increased,but the range narrowed gradually and both electrical resistance and stress wave velocity increased.Both increased rapidly near 0℃,mainly caused by ice formation(phase change and freezing of free water)in live trees.In addition,both are positively correlated with ice content.The results suggest that ice content should be considered for improving the accuracy of tree decay detection and health evaluation using electric resistance tomography and stress wave velocity methods under low temperatures. | Jiaxing Guo Peng Wang Yuting Wang Huadong Xu | 2023 | Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,5: | 0 |
| 16 | GPR162 activates STING dependent DNA damage pathway as a novel tumor suppressor and radiation sensitizer显示文摘In the treatment of most malignancies,radiotherapy plays a significant role.However,the resistance of cancer cells to ionizing radiation(IR)is the main reason for the failure of radiotherapy,which causes tumor recurrence and metastasis.In this study,we confirmed that GPR162,an orphan receptor in the G-protein-coupled receptor family,acted as a novel radiotherapy sensitizer by interacting with the stimulator of interferon genes(STING),which targeted DNA damage responses,activated IRF3,accelerated the activation of type I interferon system,promoted the expression of chemokines including CXCL10 and CXCL4,and inhibited the occurrence and development of tumors.Interestingly,the activation of STING by overexpression of GPR162 was independent of the classical pathway of cGAS.STING inhibitors could resist the antitumor effect of overexpression of GPR162 in IR-induced mouse models.In addition,most solid tumors showed low expression of GPR162.And the higher expression of GPR162 indicated a better prognosis in patients with lung adenocarcinoma,liver cancer,breast cancer,etc.In summary,these results suggested that GPR162 may serve as a potential sensitizer of radiotherapy by promoting radiotherapy-induced STING-IFN production and increasing the expression of chemokines including CXCL10 and CXCL4 in DNA damage response,providing an alternative strategy for improving cancer radiotherapy. | Yao Long Jiaxing Guo Jielin Chen Jingyue Sun Haiyan Wang Xin Peng Zuli Wang WeiWei Lai Na Liu Long Shu Ling Chen Ying Shi Desheng Xiao Shuang Liu Yongguang Tao | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,3: | 0 |
| 17 | Comparative Analyses and Phylogenetic Relationships between Cryptomeria fortunei and Related Species Based on Complete Chloroplast Genomes显示文摘Cryptomeria fortunei(Chinese cedar)is a highly adaptable woody species and one of the main forest plantation trees in subtropical high-altitude areas in China.However,there are few studies on its chloroplast(cp)genome.In this study,the complete cp genome of C.fortunei was sequenced and evaluated via comparative analyses with those of related species(formerly the Taxodiaceae)in Cupressaceae.The C.fortunei cp genome was 131,580 bp in length,and the GC content of the whole genome was 35.38%.It lost one relevant large inverted repeat and contained 114 unique genes,including 82 protein-coding genes,28 tRNAs and 4 rRNAs.The relative synonymous codon usage(RSCU)of codons ending with A/U was more than twice that of codons ending with G/C.Thirty long repeat structures(LRSs)and 213 simple sequence repeat(SSR)loci were detected in the C.fortunei cp genome.Comparative analyses of 10 cp genomes revealed that substantial rearrangements occurred in the gene organization.Additionally,6 cp hotspot regions(trnS-GGA,ycf1,trnP-GGG,trnC-GCA,psbZ and accD)were identified,and 4 genes(petL,psbM,rpl22 and psaM)had likely underwent positive selection.Phylogenetic analysis showed that Cupressaceae,Taxaceae and Cephalotaxaceae clustered to form a clade and that C.fortunei was most closely related to C.japonica(Japanese cedar),C.japonica cv.Wogon Hort and Taxodium distichum(baldcypress).These results provide references for future studies of population genetics,phylogenetic status and molecular markers among Cupressaceae species and for the cultivation of improved varieties. | Yingting Zhang Junjie Yang Zhenhao Guo Jiaxing Mo Jiebing Cui Hailiang Hu Jin Xu | 2020 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2020,89,4: | 0 |
| 18 | Construction and Preliminary Application of RT-LAMP Detection Method for Swine Japanese B Encephalitis Virus显示文摘[Objective] This study aimed to establish a rapid,sensitive and specific method using reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification(RT-LAMP) technology to detect swine Japanese B encephalitis virus(JEV).[Method] Four specific LAMP primers were designed according to six loci the conservative region of JEV E gene sequence. Positive JEV RNA sample was used as a template for one-step amplification,and the reaction conditions and reaction system were optimized.[Result] Experimental results showed that the established method had high sensitivity,with the detection limit of 0. 5pg; specificity experiments indicated that the method had high specificity and there was no amplification reaction for other viral pathogens. The coincidence rate between detection results of RT-LAMP and RT-Nested-PCR was 90. 9%. After RT-LAMP reaction,a chemiluminescent agent was added for visual observation,which greatly reduced the detection time.
