| 1 | PLMD:An updated data resource of protein lysine modifications显示文摘Post-translational modifications(PTMs) occurring at protein lysine residues,or protein lysine modifications(PLMs),play critical roles in regulating biological processes.Due to the explosive expansion of the amount of PLM substrates and the discovery of novel PLM types,here we greatly updated our previous studies,and presented a much more integrative resource of protein lysine modification database(PLMD).In PLMD,we totally collected and integrated 284,780 modification events in 53,501 proteins across 176 eukaryotes and prokaryotes for up to 20 types of PLMs,including ubiquitination,acetylation,sumoylation,methylation,succinylation,malonylation,glutarylation,giycation,formylation,hydroxylation,butyrylation,propionylation,crotonylation,pupylation,neddylation,2-hydroxyisobutyrylation,phosphoglycerylation,carboxylation,lipoylation and biotinylation.Using the data set,a motif-based analysis was performed for each PLM type,and the results demonstrated that different PLM types preferentially recognize distinct sequence motifs for the modifications.Moreover,various PLMs synergistically orchestrate specific cellular biological processes by mutual crosstalks with each other,and we totally found 65,297 PLM events involved in 90 types of PLM co-occurrences on the same lysine residues.Finally,various options were provided for accessing the data,while original references and other annotations were also present for each PLM substrate.Taken together,we anticipated the PLMD database can serve as a useful resource for further researches of PLMs.PLMD 3.0 was implemented in PHP + MySQL and freely available at http://gffzz60b5e5c25d7e4f27h6ppb6n5ppx9n6qpc.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn. | Haodong Xu Jiaqi Zhou Shaofeng Lin Wankun Deng Ying Zhang Yu Xue | 2017 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2017,44,5: | 6 |

| 16 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of | 17 | Immunosuppressive therapy selectively modulates B-cell responses in patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases receiving the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine显示文摘Background:Immunosuppressive medication reduces the immunogenicity of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)vaccines in patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases(RMDs).However,the underlying mechanism remains unclear.The primary aim of our study was to dissect the impact of immunosuppressive medication on cellular and humoral immune responses in RMD patients receiving the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine.Methods:A total of 28 RMD patients and five healthy controls(HCs)receiving two doses of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine(Sinovac-CoronaVac)were prospectively enrolled.Blood samples were collected before the primary vaccination(Week 0)and one week after the second vaccination(Week 5).Neutralizing antibody(nAb)titers and autoantibody titers were measured by a pseudovirus-based neutralization assay and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,respectively.CD4^(+)T-cell and CD19^(+)B-cell subsets and serum cytokines were analyzed by flow cytometry.Results:The inactivated COVID-19 vaccine was immunogenic in RMD patients and HCs after the second vaccination,but the nAb titers were lower in RMD patients than those in HCs.Only patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)had notably increased nAb titers.Remarkably,IgG^(+)CD27^(+),IgG^(+)IgG1^(+),and IgG^(+)IgG1^(−)B cells were reduced,whereas IgG−IgG1^(+)B cells,and total IgA and IgG titers were markedly increased.However,Tfh cell and Tfr cell subsets and cytokines produced by Tfh cells were not increased.The flare rate was low in RMD patients with comparable autoantibody titers,unchanged CD4^(+)T cell subsets and serum proinflammatory cytokines(interleukin[IL]-6,IL-17,interferon-γ,and tumor necrosis factor-α)after the second vaccination.Conclusions:Immunosuppressive therapy decreased the immunogenicity of the vaccine and maintained a low flare rate by selectively modulating B cell but not CD4^(+)T cell responses in RMD patients receiving the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine.Optimization of the treatment regimen might ensure a durable and robust COVID-19 vaccination response. | Rui Li Ruru Guo Jia Li Bing Zheng Ronghao Xu Xiaoyue Jiang Yingying Chen Guo Tang Qianqian Li Yixuan Li Jiaqi Feng Xiaoxiang Chen Ying Wang Shuang Ye Fang Du Liangjing Lu Jun Deng | 2023 | Rheumatology & Autoimmunity2023,3,2: | 0 |

| 19 | Application of eDNA Metabarcoding for Detecting Anura in North China显示文摘eDNA metabarcoding is an advanced method formonitoring biodiversityproposed in recent years.By analyzing DNA in water,soil and sediment samples,the technology obtains species distribution and population quantity information.It was found that macrobarcode technology is more accurate than the traditional method in measuring the species richness of some groups.In Europe,America and South America,the relia bility of this technology in monitoring amphibian diversity in the wild was studied,and it was found to be better than traditional biodiversity monitoring methods in detecting species diversity.At present,amphibian monitoring mainly depends on various traditional methods,such as transects,drift fence traps,artificial shelters and mark-recapture.These monitoring techniques have many shortcomings,such as low accuracy and strong subjectivity of study results.These technologies have poor effects on rare,invasive and endangered species with strong concealment ability,low density and strong seasonality and are difficult to implement in sites inaccessible to people.Traditional monitoring technology also requires considerable investment of human and material resources,and the economic cost is relatively high,while eDNA metabarcoding ismore efficient and less costly,so it is important to use eDNA meta barcoding in amphibian monitoring in China.In this study,the eDNA meta barcoding and traditional line transect method(TLTM)were used to study the characteristics of the two methods in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebeiregion.Repeated samplingwas conducted on 58 waterbodies in July 2019 and June 2020.After sequencing the samples using highthroughput sequencing technology,the differences between metabarcoding and commonly used TLTM surveys in detecting the diversity of four amphibians in North China were assessed.Our results showed that eDNA meta barcoding is more sensitive to the detection of the four amphibian species in the sampling area,and the combined use of eDNA metabarcoding and TLTM can improve the survey results of amphibians in the survey area to the greatest extent.In addition,in the process of species classification and identification of metabarcoding results,7 species of reptiles were detected,indicating that eDNA metabarcoding is also useful to detect reptiles.The results of this study indicate that metabarcoding in combination with TLTM can accurately estimate the diversityof amphibians in a short-term survey in North China and is also useful in reptile species detection. | Wenhao LI Mingshuo QIN Xianglei HOU Jiaqi ZHANG Siqi WANG Yu LI Zexu LUO Teng DENG Tianjian SONG Chunxia XU Xuan LIU Xuyu WANG Yiming LI | 2022 | Asian Herpetological Research2022,13,4: | 0 |
| 20 | Tetrathiafulvalene esters with high redox potentials and improved solubilities for non-aqueous redox flow battery applications显示文摘The exploitation of high performance redox-active substances is critically important for the development of non-aqueous redoxflow batteries.Herein,three tetrathiofulvalene(TTF)derivatives with different substitution groups,namely TTF diethyl ester(TTFDE),TTF tetramethyl ester(TTFTM),and TTF tetraethyl ester(TTFTE),are prepared and their energy storage properties are evaluated.It has been found that the redox potential and solubility of these TTF derivatives in conventional carbonate electrolytes increases with the number of ester groups.The battery with a catholyte of 0.2 mol L^(-1) of TTFTE delivers a specific capacity of more than 10 Ah L^(-1) at the current density of 0.5 C with two discharge voltage platforms locating at as high as 3.85 and 3.60 V vs.Li/Liþ.Its capacity retention can be improved from 2.34 Ah L^(-1) to 3.60 Ah L^(-1) after 100 cycles by the use of an anion exchange membrane to block the crossover of TTF species.The excellent cycling stability of the TIF esters is supported by their well-delocalized electrons,as revealed by the density function theory calculations.Therefore,the introduction of more and larger electron-withdrawing groups is a promising strategy to simultaneously increase the redox-potential and solubility of redox-active ma-terials for non-aqueous redoxflow batteries. | Weikang Hu Jiaqi Xu Nanjie Chen Zongcai Deng Yuekun Lai Dongyang Chen | 2024 | Green Energy & Environment2024,9,5: | 0 |
