| 2 | AN ECO- AND INNO-PRODUCT DESIGN SYSTEM APPLYING INTEGRATED AND INTELLIGENT QFDE AND TRIZ METHODOLOGY显示文摘The green environmental laws and regulations are legislated, implemented, and enforced in many countries and economic regions. The provision of green products and services are the fast growing trend in global consumer markets. Therefore, introducing new products with environmental considerations becomes critical for global brand manufacturers. This research depicts an integrated and intelligent eco- and inno-product design methodology to support environmental friendly green product development. The methodology adopts approaches, such as life cycle assessment (LCA), quality function deploymnet for environement (QFDE), theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ) and back-propagation network (BPN) to achieve eco- and inno-design objectives. LCA evaluates and compares the environmental impacts of production. QFDE transforms high-level concerns of environment into design requirements. When there are many historical QFDE data, the BPN prediction model is trained and deployed to automate the specifications of green design improvement. TRIZ is to support the creation of innovative product design ideas effectively and efficiently during the concept design stage. | 18 | Dietary copper supplementation modulates performance and lipid metabolism in meat goat kids显示文摘Forty-eight male Lezhi black goat kids with similar body weight((12.09±1.70)kg)and age((60±5)d)were used to determine the effect of dietary copper(Cu),in the form of reagent grade Cu sulfate(CuSO4∙5H2O),on performance,serum lipid profile,and the relative mRNA abundance of genes involved in lipid metabolism.Goat kids were stratified by body weight and randomly assigned to one of 4 treatment groups.Each treatment consisted of 12 replicate pens with each pen containing one goat kid.Treatment groups received the basal diet with no supplemental Cu(control),basal diet plus 10 mg of Cu kg^(-1)of dry matter(DM),basal diet plus 20 mg of Cu kg^(-1)of DM,or basal diet plus 30 mg of Cu kg^(-1)of DM.Goats were housed individually in pens and fed a high-concentrate pelleted diet for 60 d.Average daily gain,average daily feed intake and feed:gain of goats were not affected by dietary Cu supplementation(P>0.10).No differences were detected in serum total cholesterol,triglyceride,and high density lipoprotein cholesterol concentrations of goat kids fed with different Cu concentrations(P>0.05).However,serum low density lipoprotein cholesterol concentrations decreased linearly(P=0.01)as the concentration of dietary Cu increased.Intramuscular fat content of longissimus muscle increased(P=0.002)quadratically and liver Cu concentrations increased(P<0.001)linearly as dietary Cu concentration increased.Compared with the control,dietary supplementation of 20 mg Cu kg^(-1)DM decreased the relative mRNA abundance of fatty acid-binding protein 4(P=0.01)and lipoprotein lipase(P=0.05),and tended to decrease the relative mRNA abundance of carnitine palmitoyltransferase I(P=0.06)in longissimus muscle of goats.The relative mRNA abundance of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha(P<0.001),carnitine acetyltransferase(P=0.001),and carnitine palmitoyltransferase Ⅰ(P=0.001)were also decreased in liver by Cu supplementation.These results indicate that dietary supplementation of Cu modified lipid metabolism by increasing muscular fat and decreasing serum low density lipoprotein cholesterol,and the modification might be associated with the reduction of relative mRNA abundance of genes for oxidation of long-chain fatty acid in muscle and liver of Lezhi black goat kids. | ZHANG Yan-mei AO De LEI Kai-wen Lin XI Jerry W.SPEARS SHI Hai-tao HUANG Yan-ling YANG Fa-long | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2023,22,1: | 0 |
| 19 | A Study on the Effects of Carrier Gases on the Structure and Morphology of Carbon Nanotubes Prepared by Pyrolysis of Ferrocene and C_2H_2 Mixture显示文摘Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were prepared using different carrier gases, with ferrocene as the catalyst precusor and acetylene as the carbon source. The effects of ammonia and nitrogen as carrier gases on the structure and morphology of CNTs were investigated. Transmission electron microscope (TEM), high-resolution electron microscope (HRTEM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were employed to characterize the products and the catalyst. Experiment results show that the CNTs grown in N2 gas exhibited cylindrical and tubular structure, while a bamboo-like structure was observed for the CNTs grown in NH3 gas. Moreover, vertically aligned CNTs were obtained on an Al2O3 disk when NH3 was used as the carrier gas. The carrier gas also exerted influence on the shape of the catalyst. | 20 | Effect of a high strength chemical industry wastewater on microbial community dynamics and mesophilic methane generation显示文摘A high strength chemical industry wastewater was assessed for its impact on anaerobic microbial community dynamics and consequently mesophilic methane generation. Cumulative methane production was 251 mL/g total chemical oxygen demand removed at standard temperature and pressure at the end of 30 days experimental period with a highest recorded methane percentage of 80.6% of total biogas volume. Volatile fatty acids(VFAs) analysis revealed that acetic acid was the major intermediate VFAs produced with propionic acid accumulating over the experimental period. Quantitative analysis of microbial communities in the test and control groups with quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction highlighted that in the test group, Eubacteria(96.3%) was dominant in comparison with methanogens(3.7%). The latter were dominated by Methanomicrobiales and Methanobacteriales while Methanosarcinaceae in test groups increased over the experimental period, reaching a maximum on day 30. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis profile was performed, targeting the 16S rRNA gene of Eubacteria and Archaea, with the DNA samples extracted at 3 different time points from the test groups. A phylogenetic tree was constructed for the sequences using the neighborhood joining method. The analysis revealed that the presence of organisms resembling Syntrophomonadaceae could have contributed to increased production of acetic and propionic acid intermediates while decrease of organisms resembling Pelotomaculum sp. could have most likely contributed to accumulation of propionic acid.
