1Elderly healthcare service at the community health centers in the Pearl River Delta region,China显示文摘Objective:The recent population census showed China had officially become a graying society.In the meantime,China also faces a growing burden of non-communicable diseases.Since 2009,a series of policies have been implemented to enhance primary care at the community level.This study describes the elderly care services provided in the differently organized community health centers(CHCs).Methods:It covered 13 CHCs of six cities located within the Pearl River Delta(PRD)region.In-depth interviews were conducted with a total of 59 health administrators,CHC managers,and CHC doctors regarding elderly care.Results:The study found that accessibility of healthcare for elders has been improved due to the development of health insurance schemes as well as preferential policy to encourage the CHC utilization by the elderly.All the CHCs provide health examinations and chronic disease management to the permanent elderly within their catchment district.However,some preventative care such as fall prevention,immunization and mental health management are not provided.Conclusion:Key barriers include low capacity of health service providers in the CHCs,and a lack of government investment in CHCs.Our report provides an empirical evidence for the health care reform in China.NAN YANG XIAOLIN WEI HAITAO LI ZHENZHEN ZHANG JAMIE RODAS SAMUEL YS WONG MARTIN CS WONG YANG GAO JIAJI WANG DONALD KT LI JINLING TANG SIAN GRIFFITHS 2013Family Medicine and Community Health2013,1,1:5
2Spatially Bandgap-Graded Mo S2(1-x)Se2x Homojunctions for Self-Powered Visible–Near-Infrared Phototransistors显示文摘Ternary transition metal dichalcogenide alloys with spatially graded bandgaps are an emerging class of two-dimensional materials with unique features,which opens up new potential for device applications.Here,visible–near-infrared and self-powered phototransistors based on spatially bandgap-graded MoS2(1−x)Se2x alloys,synthesized by a simple and controllable chemical solution deposition method,are reported.The graded bandgaps,arising from the spatial grading of Se composition and thickness within a single domain,are tuned from 1.83 to 1.73 eV,leading to the formation of a homojunction with a builtin electric field.Consequently,a strong and sensitive gate-modulated photovoltaic effect is demonstrated,enabling the homojunction phototransistors at zero bias to deliver a photoresponsivity of 311 mA W−1,a specific detectivity up to^10^11 Jones,and an on/off ratio up to^10^4.Remarkably,when illuminated by the lights ranging from 405 to 808 nm,the biased devices yield a champion photoresponsivity of 191.5 A W−1,a specific detectivity up to^1012 Jones,a photoconductive gain of 10^6–10^7,and a photoresponsive time in the order of^50 ms.These results provide a simple and competitive solution to the bandgap engineering of two-dimensional materials for device applications without the need for p–n junctions.Hao Xu Juntong Zhu Guifu Zou Wei Liu Xiao Li Caihong Li Gyeong Hee Ryu Wenshuo Xu Xiaoyu Han Zhengxiao Guo Jamie HWarner Jiang Wu Huiyun Liu 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,2:4
3Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection-Associated Mortality during Pulmonary Tuberculosis Treatment in Six Provinces of China显示文摘Objective To investigate the risk factors attributable to tuberculosis-related deaths in areas with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) infection epidemics. Methods A prospective cohort study of newly registered patients in tuberculosis(TB) dispensaries in six representative Chinese provinces was conducted from September 1, 2009 to August 31, 2011. Risk factors for TB-associated death were identified through logistic regression analysis. Results Of 19,103 newly registered pulmonary TB patients, 925(4.8%) were found to be HIV-positive. Miliary TB and acid-fast bacillus smear-negative TB were more common among these patients. Out of a total of 322(1.7%) deaths that occurred during TB treatment, 85(26%) of the patients were co-infected with HIV. Multivariate analysis revealed that HIV infection was the strongest predictor of death [adjusted odds ratio(aO R) 7.86]. Other significant mortality risk factors included presentation with miliary TB(aO R 4.10; 95% confidence interval: 2.14-7.88), ≥35 years of age(aO R 3.04), non-Han ethnicity(aO R 1.67), and farming as an occupation(aO R 1.59). For patients with TB/HIV co-infection, miliary TB was the strongest risk factor for death(aO R 5.48). A low CD4 count(≤ 200 cells/μL)(aO R 3.27) at the time of TB treatment initiation and a lack of antiretroviral therapy(ART) administration(aO R 3.78) were also correlated with an increased risk of death. Conclusion Infection with HIV was independently associated with increased mortality during TB treatment. 4Bridge vibration under complex wind field and corresponding measurements: A review显示文摘Due to increased demands in transportation development,bridge construction has been extended to areas with complex wind fields.In addition to common flow features such as high wind speeds and strong turbulence intensity,in coastal areas,bridges are likely to be exposed to non-stationary and non-Gaussian high-speed wind fields during hurricane events.Bridges built in mountainous regions will experience varying wind directions,incident angles of attack(AOA),and wind speed variation due to undulating terrain.The complex wind fields are challenging to the bridge engineering community to which accurate calculation methods and suppression measures for bridge vibration are urgently required.In this paper,state-of-the-art research results are introduced through three categories:(a)the distinctive characteristics of complex wind fields in offshore and mountainous areas,(b)the categories of wind-induced vibrations for bridges,and(c)the suppression measures employed in engineering practices.Until now,the studies regarding the coupled bridge vibration in complex wind fields have made considerable progress,but a richer database of actual wind measurement results and more efficient simulation methods still need to be further established.Enbo Yu Guoji Xu Yan Han Peng Hu Jamie F.Townsend Yongle Li 2022Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2022,9,3:2
