| 1 | Effect of Silver Content on Microstructure and Properties of Brass/steel Induction Brazing Joint Using Ag-Cu-Zn-Sn Filler Metal显示文摘The induction brazing of brass to steel using Ag-Cu-Zn-Sn filler metal was investigated in this study.The influence of Ag content on the microstructure and properties were analyzed by means of optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy and electron probe microanalysis.Defect free joint was achieved using Ag-Cu-Zn-Sn filler metal.The microstructure of the joint was mainly composed of Ag-based solid solution and Cu-based solid solution.The increase of Ag content and the cooling rate both led to the increase of the needle like eutectic structure.The tensile strength decreased with the increase of Ag content.The tensile strength at room temperature using Ag25CuZnSn filler metal reached 445 MPa.All fractures using Ag-Cu-Zn-Sn filler metal presented ductile characteristic. | J. | 4 | INFLUENCE OF COLD ROLLING REDUCTION ON MICROSTRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF TWIP STEEL显示文摘The influence of cold rolling reduction on microstructure and mechanical properties of the TWIP (ttwinning induced plasticity) steel was investigated. The results indicated that the steel had better comprehensive mechanical properties when cold rolling reduction was about 65.0% and the annealing temperature was 1000℃. The tensile strength of the steel is about 640MPa and the yield strength is higher than 255MPa, while the elongation is above 82%. The microstructure is composed of austenitic matrix and annealing twins at room temperature, at the same time, a significant amount of annealing twins and stacking faults are observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). | 5 | SIMULATION OF THE MICROSTRUCTURE DISTRIBUTION OF HYDROGEN STORAGE ALLOY AND OPTIMAL DESIGN OF CASTING MOULDS显示文摘In this paper,a simulation model for the temperature field in the solidification process and microstructure distribution is presented. Then, the result of simulation for the final microstructure distribution is compared with experiment using 10-Kg ingot of MlNi3.55Al0.3Mn0.4CO0.75 (Ml: Lanthanum-rich Mischmetal) hydrogen stor- age alloy cast in a mould, which agrees with the experiment well. Finally, in order to obtain the expected as-cast microstructure distribution of 15-Kg ingot of MlNi3.55Al0.3Mn0.4Co0.75 alloy, the size of Cu mould is optimized using the model described. | 7 | STUDY ON THE PROPERTIES OF DIFFERENT ACTIVATED CARBON FIBERS AND THEIR ADSORPTION CHARACTERISTICS FOR FORMALDEHYDE显示文摘Porous structure and surface chemistry of activated carbon fibers obtained by different precursors and activation methods were investigated. Adsorption isotherms were characterized by nitrogen adsorption at 77K over a relative pressure range from 10-6 to 1. The regularization method according to Density Functional Theory (DFT) was employed to calculate the pore size distribution in the samples. Their specific surface areas were calculated by BET method, micro pore volume and micro porous specific surface area calculated by t-plot method and MPD by Horvath-Kawazoe equation. Micropore volume of rayon-based ACF was higher than that of other samples. The static and dynamic adsorption capacity for formaldehyde on different ACFs was determined. The results show that steam activated Rayon-based ACFs had higher adsorption capacity than that of steam and KOH activated PAN-ACFs. Breakthrough curves illustrated that Rayon-ACFs had longer breakthrough time, thus they possessed higher adsorption capacity for formaldehyde than that of PAN-A CFs. The entire sample had small adsorption capacity and short breakthrough time for water. Rayon-ACFs had excellent adsorption selectivity for formaldehyde than PAN-ACFs. And the samples with high surface areas had relatively high adsorption capacity for formaldehyde. Elemental content of different ACFs were performed. Rayon-based ACFs contained mare oxygen than PAN-ACFs, which may be attributed to their excellent adsorption capacity for formaldehyde. | H.Q. Rong, Z.Y. Ryu and J.T.
