An Overview of China's Mainland Temperature Change Research显示文摘There has been significant effort devoted to investigating long-term trends in land surface air temperature over China's Mainland by Chinese scientists over the past 50 years, and much progress has been made in understanding dynamics of the changes. This review highlights research conducted by early Chinese climatologists, and particularly Professor Shaowu Wang from Peking University, with special focus on systematic work that has been conducted since the mid to late 1970s. We also discuss major issues that remain unresolved in past and current studies. The most recent analyses indicate that the country-average annual mean surface air temperature rose by 1.12℃ over the past 115 years(1901–2015), with a rate of increase of about 0.10℃ decade^(-1). Temperatures have risen more rapidly since the 1950s, with the rate of increase of more than 0.25℃ decade^(-1). However, the recent increase in temperatures is in large part due to contamination by systematically biased data. These data are influenced by unprecedented urbanization in China, with a contribution of urbanization to the overall increase of annual mean temperatures in China's Mainland of about one third over the past half a century. If the bias is corrected, the rate of increase for the country-average annual mean surface air temperature is 0.17℃ decade^(-1) over the last 50–60 years, which is approximately the same as global and Northern Hemispheric averages in recent decades. Future efforts should be focused towards the recovery and digitization of early-year observational records, the homogenization of observational data, the evaluation and adjustment of urbanization bias in temperature data series from urban stations, the analysis of extreme temperatures over longer periods including the first half of the 20th century, and the investigation of the observed surface air temperature change mechanisms in China's Mainland.Guoyu REN Yihui DING Guoli TANG 2017Journal of Meteorological Research2017,31,1:9
Effects of nitrogen ion implantation on Ca^(2+) concentration and membrane potential of pollen cell显示文摘The effects of low energy nitrogen ion implantation on Ca2+ concentration and membrane potential of illy (Mum davidii Duch) pollen cell have been studied. The results showed that the Ca2+ concentration was increased when pollen grain was implanted by nitrogen ion with energy 100 keV and dose 1013 ions/cm2. However, the increase of Ca2+ concentration was partly inhibited by the addition of Ca2+ channel inhibitor depending on dose. And nitrogen ion implantation caused depolarization of pollen cell membrane potential. In other words, membrane potential was increased, but the effect decreased by adding Ca2+ channel inhibitor. However, it was still significantly higher than the membrane potential of control cells. It was indicated that the depolarization of cell membrane potential opened the calcium channel on the membrane that caused the increasing of intracel-lular calcium concentration. This might be an earlier step of the effect of low energy nitrogen ion implantation on pollen germination.HUANG Zhonglian, JING Yanping, ZHU Guoli, LU Ting, ZHOU Hongyu & REN Haiyun1. 3Progress in octahedral spherical hohlraum study显示文摘In this paper,we give a review of our theoretical and experimental progress in octahedral spherical hohlraum study. From our theoretical study, the octahedral spherical hohlraums with 6 Laser Entrance Holes(LEHs)of octahedral symmetry have robust high symmetry during the capsule implosion at hohlraum-to-capsule radius ratio larger than 3.7.In addition, the octahedral spherical hohlraums also have potential superiority on low backscattering without supplementary technology. We studied the laser arrangement and constraints of the octahedral spherical hohlraums, and gave a design on the laser arrangement for ignition octahedral hohlraums. As a result, the injection angle of laser beams of 50°-60°was proposed as the optimum candidate range for the octahedral spherical hohlraums. We proposed a novel octahedral spherical hohlraum with cylindrical LEHs and LEH shields,in order to increase the laser coupling efficiency and improve the capsule symmetry and to mitigate the influence of the wall blowoff on laser transport. We studied on the sensitivity of the octahedral spherical hohlraums to random errors and compared the sensitivity among the octahedral spherical hohlraums, the rugby hohlraums and the cylindrical hohlraums, and the results show that the octahedral spherical hohlraums are robust to these random errors while the cylindrical hohlraums are the most sensitive.Up till to now,we have carried out three experiments on the spherical hohlraum with 2 LEHs on Shenguang(SG)laser facilities, including demonstration of improving laser transport by using the cylindrical LEHs in the spherical hohlraums, spherical hohlraum energetics on the SGIII prototype laser facility, and comparisons of laser plasma instabilities between the spherical hohlraums and the cylindrical hohlraums on the SGIII laser facility.Ke Lan Jie Liu Zhichao Li Xufei Xie Wenyi Huo Yaohua Chen Guoli Ren Chunyang Zheng Dong Yang Sanwei Li Zhiwen Yang Liang Guo Shu Li Mingyu Zhang Xiaoying Han Chuanlei Zhai Lifei Hou Yukun Li Keli Deng Zheng Yuan Xiayu Zhan Feng Wang Guanghui Yuan Haijun Zhang Bobin Jiang Lizhen Huang Wei Zhang Kai Du Runchang Zhao Ping Li Wei Wang Jingqin Su Xuewei Deng Dongxia Hu Wei Zhou Huaiting Jia Yongkun Ding Wanguo Zheng Xiantu He 2016Matter and Radiation at Extremes2016,1,1:2
An evaluation of input/dissipation terms in WAVEWATCH Ⅲ using in situ and satellite significant wave height data in the South China Sea显示文摘A WAVEWATCH III version 3.14(WW3) wave model is used to evaluate input/dissipation source term packages WAM3, WAM4 and TC96 considering the effect of atmospheric instability. The comparisons of a significant wave height acquired from the model with different packages have been performed based on wave observation radar and HY-2 altimetry significant wave height data through five experiments in the South China Sea domain spanning latitudes of 0°–35°N and longitudes of 100°–135°E. The sensitivity of the wind speed correction parameter in the TC96 package also has been analyzed. From the results, the model is unable to dissipate the wave energy efficiently during a swell propagation with either source packages. It is found that TC96 formulation with the 'effective wind speed' strategy performs better than WAM3 and WAM4 formulations. The wind speed correction parameter in the TC96 source package is very sensitive and needs to be calibrated and selected before the WW3 model can be applied to a specific region.WANG Jichao ZHANG Jie YANG Jungang BAO Wendi WU Guoli REN Qifeng 2017Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,3:2

Division and identification of vertical reservoir units in Archaeozoic metamorphic buried hill of Bozhong Sag,Bohai Bay Basin,East China显示文摘Based on the data associated with cores, sidewall cores, casting thin sections, reservoir physical properties, conventional logging and imaging logging, the classification schemes of vertical reservoir units are proposed for the two types of Archaeozoic buried hills(exposed and covered ones)in the Bozhong Sag,Bohai Bay Basin. The geological characteristics and storage spaces of these reservoir units are described, and their identification markers in conventional and imaging log curves are established. The Archaeozoic metamorphic buried hills can be vertically classified into two primary reservoir units:weathering crust and inner buried hill. The weathering crust contains four secondary units,i.e.,the clay zone, weathered glutenite zone, leached zone, disaggregation zone;and the interiors contain two secondary units,i.e.,interior fracture zone and tight zone.In particular, the inner fracture zone was further divided into cataclasite belts and dense-fracture belts. It is proposed that the favorable reservoirs of exposed Archaeozoic metamorphic buried hills are mainly developed in four parts including weathered glutenite zone, leached zone, disintegration zone superposed with the cataclasite belt and the cataclasite belt of inner fracture zone, and are controlled by both weathering and tectonic actions.Favorable reservoirs in covered Archaeozoic metamorphic buried hills are mainly developed in the weathering crust superposed with the cataclasite belts and the cataclasite belts of inner fracture zone, and are mainly controlled by tectonic actions.YI Jian LI Huiyong SHAN Xuanlong HAO Guoli YANG Haifeng WANG Qingbin XU Peng REN Shuyue 2022Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,6:1
P2 asymmetry of Au's M-band flux and its smoothing effect due to high-Z ablator dopants显示文摘X-ray drive asymmetry is one of the main seeds of low-mode implosion asymmetry that blocks further improvement of the nuclear per-formance of“high-foot”experiments on the National Ignition Facility[Miller et al.,Nucl.Fusion 44,S228(2004)].More particularly, the P2 asymmetry of Au's M-band flux can also severely influence the implosion performance of ignition capsules[Li et al.,Phys.Plasmas 23,072705(2016)].Here we study the smoothing effect of mid-and/or high-Z dopants in ablator on Au's M-band flux asymmetries,by modeling and comparing the implosion processes of a Ge-doped ignition capsule and a Si-doped one driven by X-ray sources with P2 M-band flux asymmetry. As the results,(1)mid-or high-Z dopants absorb hard X-rays(M-band flux)and re-emit isotropically, which helps to smooth the asymmetric M-band flux arriving at the ablation front, therefore reducing the P2 asymmetries of the imploding shell and hot spot;(2)the smoothing effect of Ge-dopant is more remarkable than Si-dopant because its opacity in Au's M-band is higher than the latter's;and(3)placing the doped layer at a larger radius in ablator is more efficient.Applying this effect may not be a main measure to reduce the low-mode implosion asymmetry, but might be of significance in some critical situations such as inertial confinement fusion(ICF)experiments very near the performance cliffs of asymmetric X-ray drives.Yongsheng Li Chuanlei Zhai Guoli Ren Jianfa Gu Wenyi Huo Xujun Meng Wenhua Ye Ke Lan Weiyan Zhang 2017Matter and Radiation at Extremes2017,2,2:1
Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.Angel Abusleme Thomas Adam Shakeel Ahmad Sebastiano Aiello Muhammad Akram Nawab Ali Fengpeng An Guangpeng An Qi An Giuseppe Andronico Nikolay Anfimov Vito Antonelli Tatiana Antoshkina Burin 10Dynamics of particles near the surface of amedium under ultra-strong shocks显示文摘Through nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulations,we provide an atomic-scale picture of the dynamics of particles near the surface of a medium under ultra-strong shocks. This shows that the measured surface velocity v_(f)under ultra-strong shocks is actually the velocity of the critical surface at which the incident probe light is reflected, and v_(f)has a single-peaked structure. The doubling rule commonly used in the case of relatively weak shocks to determine particle velocity behind the shock front is generally not valid under ultra-strong shocks. After a short period of acceleration,v_(f)exhibits a long slowly decaying tail, which is not sensitive to the atomic mass of the medium.A scaling law for v_(f)is also proposed, and this may be used to improve the measurement of particle velocity u in future experiments.Zixiang Yan Hao Liu Xinyu Zhang Guoli Ren Jie Liu Wei Kang Weiyan Zhang Xiantu He 2021Matter and Radiation at Extremes2021,6,2:0
Analysis of hohlraum energetics of the SG series and the NIF experiments with energy balance model显示文摘The basic energy balance model is applied to analyze the hohlraum energetics data from the Shenguang(SG)series laser facilities and the National Ignition Facility(NIF)experiments published in the past few years. The analysis shows that the overall hohlraum energetics data are in agreement with the energy balance model within 20%deviation.The 20%deviation might be caused by the diversity in hohlraum parameters, such as material, laser pulse, gas filling density, etc. In addition, the NIF's ignition target designs and our ignition target designs given by simulations are also in accordance with the energy balance model. This work confirms the value of the energy balance model for ignition target design and experimental data assessment, and demonstrates that the NIF energy is enough to achieve ignition if a 1D spherical radiation drive could be created, meanwhile both the laser plasma instabilities and hydrodynamic instabilities could be suppressed.Guoli Ren Jie Liu Wenyi Huo Ke Lan 2017Matter and Radiation at Extremes2017,2,1:0
First experimental comparisons of laser-plasma interactions between spherical and cylindrical hohlraums at SGⅢ laser facility显示文摘We present our recent laser-plasmas instability(LPI)comparison experiment at the SGIII laser facility between the spherical and cylindrical hohlraums.Three kinds of filling are considered:vacuum,gas-filling with or without a capsule inside.A spherical hohlraum of 3.6 mm in diameter, and a cylindrical hohlraum of 2.4 mm?4.3 mm are used. The capsule diameter is 0.96 mm.A flat-top laser pulse with 3 ns duration and up to 92.73 kJ energy is used. The experiment has shown that the LPI level in the spherical hohlraum is close to that of the outer beam in the cylindrical hohlraum, while much lower than that of the inner beam. The experiment is further simulated by using our 2-dimensional radiation hydrodynamic code LARED-Integration,and the laser back-scattering fraction and the stimulated Raman scatter(SRS)spectrum are post-processed by the high efficiency code of laser interaction with plasmas HLIP.According to the simulation, the plasma waves are strongly damped and the SRS is mainly developed at the plasma conditions of electron density from 0.08 n_(c) to 0.1 n_(c) and electron temperature from 1.5 keV to 2.0 keV inside the hohlraums. However, obvious differences between the simulation and experiment are found, such as that the SRS back-scattering is underestimated, and the numerical SRS spectrum peaks at a larger wavelength and at a later time than the data. These dif-ferences indicate that the development of a 3D radiation hydrodynamic code, with more accurate physics models,is mandatory for spherical hohlraum study.Yaohua Chen Zhichao Li Xufei Xie Chunyang Zheng Chuanlei Zhai Liang Hao Dong Yang Wenyi Huo Guoli Ren Jie Liu Xiaoshi Peng Tao Xu Yulong Li Sanwei Li Zhiwen Yang Liang Guo Lifei Hou Yonggang Liu Huiyue Wei Xiangming Liu Weiyi Cha Yukun Li Keli Deng Zheng Yuan Xiayu Zhan Haijun Zhang Baibin Jiang Wei Zhang Kai Du Xuewei Deng Yongkun Ding Xiaofeng Wei Wanguo Zheng Xiaodong Chen Xiantu He Ke Lan 2017Matter and Radiation at Extremes2017,2,2:0
Discovery of age-related early-stage glycated proteins based on deep quantitative serum glycated proteome analysis显示文摘Aging is a pressing global health issue that is linked to various diseases, such as diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease. It is well known that glycation plays a pathological role in the aging process and age-related diseases. Thus,it is of great significance to discover protein glycation at an early stage for monitoring and intervention in the aging process. However, the endogenous age-related early-stage glycated proteome remains insufficiently profiled. To address this research gap,our study focuses on assessing glycated proteomics profiles in the serum of mice.We employ a robust and quantitative strategy previously developed by our team,to analyze endogenous glycated proteome in serum samples of 4 age groups of mice(10 weeks,16 weeks,48 weeks and 80 weeks). In total,2959 endogenous glycated peptides corresponding to 296 serum proteins are identified from 48 runs of serum samples from 16 mice across the four age groups.By comparing these glycated peptides between adjacent age groups,we discover 49 glycated peptides from 35 proteins that show significant upregulation between the 48-week and 80-week age groups.Furthermore,we identify 10 glycated proteins(or protein groups)that are significantly upregulated only between the 48-week and 80-week age groups, including lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase(LCAT)and apolipoprotein A-II(Apo A-II).These novel findings provide unique signatures for understanding the aging process and age-related diseases.By shedding light on the early-stage glycated proteome, our study contributes valuable insights that may have implications for future interventions and therapeutic approaches.Xinyue Ren Linlin Wu Lei Zhang Yang Liu Guoli Wang Haojie Lu 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,10:0
Determination of laser entrance hole size for ignition-scale octahedral spherical hohlraums显示文摘A recently proposed octahedral spherical hohlraum with six laser entrance holes(LEHs)is an attractive concept for an upgraded laser facility aiming at a predictable and reproducible fusion gain with a simple target design. However, with the laser energies available at present,LEH size can be a critical issue.Owing to the uncertainties in simulation results, the LEH size should be determined on the basis of experimental evidence. However, determination of LEH size of an ignition target at a small-scale laser facility poses difficulties. In this paper,we propose to use the prepulse of an ignition pulse to determine the LEH size for ignition-scale hohlraums via LEH closure behavior, and we present convincing evidence from multiple diagnostics at the SGIII facility with ignition-scale hohlraum, laser prepulse, and laser beam size. The LEH closure observed in our experiment is in agreement with data from the National Ignition Facility. The total LEH area of the octahedral hohlraum is found to be very close to that of a cylindrical hohlraum, thus successfully demonstrating the feasibility of the octahedral hohlraum in terms of laser energy, which is crucially important for sizing an ignition-scale octahedrally configured laser system. This work provides a novel way to determine the LEH size of an ignition target at a small-scale laser facility, and it can be applied to other hohlraum configurations for the indirect drive approach.Yao-Hua Chen Zhichao Li Hui Cao Kaiqiang Pan Sanwei Li Xufei Xie Bo Deng Qiangqiang Wang Zhurong Cao Lifei Hou Xingsen Che Pin Yang Yingjie Li Xiaoan He Tao Xu Yonggang Liu Yulong Li Xiangming Liu Haijun Zhang Wei Zhang Baibin Jiang Jun Xie Wei Zhou Xiaoxia Huang Wen Yi Huo Guoli Ren Kai Li Xudeng Hang Shu Li Chuanlei Zhai Jie Liu Shiyang Zou Yongkun Ding Ke Lan 2022Matter and Radiation at Extremes2022,7,6:0
First demonstration of improving laser propagation inside the spherical hohlraums by using the cylindrical laser entrance hole显示文摘The octahedral spherical hohlraums have natural superiority in maintaining high radiation symmetry during the entire capsule implosion process in indirect drive inertial confinement fusion. While,in contrast to the cylindrical hohlraums, the narrow space between the laser beams and the spherical hohlraum wall is usually commented. In this Letter,we address this crucial issue and report our experimental work conducted on the SGIII-prototype laser facility which unambiguously demonstrates that a simple design of cylindrical laser entrance hole(LEH)can dramatically improve the laser propagation inside the spherical hohlraums. In addition, the laser beam deflection in the hohlraum is observed for the first time in the experiments. Our 2-dimensional simulation results also verify qualitatively the advantages of the spherical hohlraums with cylindrical LEHs.Our results imply the prospect of adopting the cylindrical LEHs in future spherical ignition hohlraum design.Wenyi Huo Zhichao Li Dong Yang Ke Lan Jie Liu Guoli Ren Sanwei Li Zhiwen Yang Liang Guo Lifei Hou Xuefei Xie Yukun Li Keli Deng Zheng Yuan Xiayu Zhan Guanghui Yuan Haijun Zhang Baibin Jiang Lizhen Huang Kai Du Runchang Zhao Ping Li Wei Wang Jingqin Su Yongkun Ding Xiantu He Weiyan Zhang 2016Matter and Radiation at Extremes2016,1,1:0
