1Bionic optimization research of soil cultivating component design显示文摘The basic biomechanical laws that apply to the clawed toes of animals with powerful digging abilities and the optimal bionic design of curved soil cultivating components with an analogous contour were researched in a novel way. First, the curvature and profile of the inside contour line of a field mouse’s clawed toe were analyzed. The finite element method (FEM) was then used to simulate the working process in order to study the changing characteristics of the working resistance of bionic soil- engag- ing surfaces and the stress field of the processed soil. A straight-line cultivating component was used for comparative analysis. In accordance with the simulation results, a series of soil cultivating com- ponents of varying design were manufactured. An indoor soil bin experiment was carried out to meas- ure their working resistance and validate the results of the FEM analysis. 2Joining Performance and Microstructure of the 2024/7075 Aluminium Alloys Welded Joints by Vaporizing Foil Actuator Welding显示文摘Vaporizing foil actuator welding(VFAW) was used for joining 2024-T3 and 7075-T6 aluminum alloy sheets, and the resulting joint microstructure was analyzed. 2024/7075 aluminum alloy pairs with suitable processing parameters can be prepared by using VFAW. Dynamic preform addresses the poor formability problem of target material and advantage of VFAW on dissimilar materials in some conditions. But with standoff sheet inserting in the flyer and target, 2024/7075 welded pairs gets the better weld strength, compared with flyer preformed method. The microstructure of the circular weld area of the welded joint showed a wave interface, in which a thin melt layer formed at the center and edge parts. The crystal grains near the bonding interface were remarkably elongated and refined. 4Theoretical investigation on Raman induced Kerr effect spectroscopy in nonlinear confocal microscopy显示文摘The imaging theory of Raman induced Kerr effect spectroscopy (RIKES) in nonlinear confocal microscopy is presented in this paper. Three-dimensional point spread function (3D-PSF) of RIKES nonlinear confocal microscopy in isotropic media is derived with Fourier imaging theory and RIKES theory. The impact of nonlinear property of RIKES on the spatial resolution and imaging properties of confocal microscopy have been analyzed in detail. It is proved that RIKES nonlinear confocal microscopy can simultaneously provide more information than two-photon confocal microscopy concerning molecular vibration mode, vibration orientation and optically induced molecular reorientation, etc. It is shown that RIKES nonlinear confocal microscopy significantly enhances the spatial resolution and imaging quality of confocal microscopy and achieves much higher resolution than that of two-photon confocal microscopy.GUO LiNa TANG ZhiLie XING Da 2008Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2008,51,7:2

6Redox responsive nanoparticle encapsulating black phosphorus quantum dots for cancer theranostics显示文摘Effective cancer treatment puts high demands for cancer theranostics.For cancer diagnostics,optical coherence tomography(OCT)technology(including photothermal optical coherence tomography(PT-OCT))has been widely investigated since it induces changes in optical phase transitions in tissue through environmental changes(such as temperature change for PT-OCT).In this report,redox responsive nanoparticle encapsulating black phosphorus quantum dots was developed as a robust PT-OCT agent.Briefly,black phosphorus quantum dots(BPQDs)are incorporated into cysteine-based poly-(disulfide amide)(Cys-PDSA)to form stable and biodegradable nanoagent.The excellent photothermal feature allows BPQD/Cys-PDSA nanoparticles(NPs)as a novel contrast agent for high-resolution PT-OCT bioimaging.The Cys-PDSA can rapidly respond to glutathione and effectively release BPQDs and drugs in vitro and in vivo.And the obtained NPs exhibit excellent near-infrared(NIR)photothermal transduction efficiency and drug delivery capacity that can serve as novel therapeutic platform,with very low chemo drug dosage and side effects.Both of the polymer and BPQD are degradable,indicating this platform is a rare PT-OCT agent that is completely biodegradable.Overall,our research highlights a biodegradable and biocompatible black phosphorus-based nanoagent for both cancer diagnosis and therapy.Haolin Chen Zhiming Liu Bo Wei Jun Huang Xinru You Jingyang Zhang Zhiling Yuan Zhilie Tang Zhouyi Guo Jun Wu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,3:1

9Efficient gene transfection of suspension cells by highly branched poly(β-amino ester)显示文摘Suspension cells play a crucial role in many biological processes. However, compared to adherent cells, it is particularly challenging to introduce exogenous genes into suspension cells to regulate their biological functions with non-viral gene vectors, mainly due to the low cellular uptake and endosomal escape of polyplexes. Herein, to improve the interactions of polyplexes with cellular membranes, we design and synthesize highly branched poly(β-amino ester)(HPAE) via an “A2 + B4 + C2” Michael addition strategy.Results show that branching significantly increases DNA condensation of HPAE, cellular uptake and endosomal escape of HPAE/DNA polyplexes. In mast cells(MCs), HPAE exhibits up to 80-fold higher gene transfection efficiency compared to the corresponding linear poly(β-amino ester)(LPAE) and the leading commercial gene transfection reagents PEI25k, jetPEI, and Lipofectamine 3000, without causing obvious cytotoxicity. 10Graphene binding on black phosphorus enables high on/off ratios and mobility显示文摘Graphene is one of the most promising candidates for integrated circuits due to its robustness against short-channel effects,inherent high carrier mobility and desired gapless nature for Ohmic contact,but it is difficult to achieve satisfactory on/off ratios even at the expense of its carrier mobility,limiting its device applications.Here,we present a strategy to realize high back-gate switching ratios in a graphene monolayer with well-maintained high mobility by forming a vertical heterostructure with a black phosphorus multi-layer.By local current annealing,strain is introduced within an established area of the graphene,which forms a reflective interface with the rest of the strain-free area and thus generates a robust off-state via local current depletion.Applying a positive back-gate voltage to the heterostructure can keep the black phosphorus insulating,while a negative back-gate voltage changes the black phosphorus to be conductive because of hole accumulation.Then,a parallel channel is activated within the strain-free graphene area by edge-contacted electrodes,thereby largely inheriting the intrinsic carrier mobility of graphene in the on-state.As a result,the device can provide an on/off voltage ratio of>10^(3)as well as a mobility of∼8000 cm^(2)V^(−1)s^(−1)at room temperature,meeting the low-power criterion suggested by the International Roadmap for Devices and Systems.Fanrong Lin Zhonghan Cao Feiping Xiao Jiawei Liu Jiabin Qiao Minmin Xue Zhili Hu Ying Liu Huan Lu Zhuhua Zhang Jens Martin Qingjun Tong Wanlin Guo Yanpeng Liu 2024National Science Review2024,11,2:0
11Scientific Advances and Weather Services of the China Meteorological Administration’s National Forecasting Systems during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics显示文摘Since the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics was the first Winter Olympics in history held in continental winter monsoon climate conditions across complex terrain areas,there is a deficiency of relevant research,operational techniques,and experience.This made providing meteorological services for this event particularly challenging.The China Meteorological Administration(CMA)Earth System Modeling and Prediction Centre,achieved breakthroughs in research on short-and medium-term deterministic and ensemble numerical predictions.Several key technologies crucial for precise winter weather services during the Winter Olympics were developed.A comprehensive framework,known as the Operational System for High-Precision Weather Forecasting for the Winter Olympics,was established.Some of these advancements represent the highest level of capabilities currently available in China.The meteorological service provided to the Beijing 2022 Games also exceeded previous Winter Olympic Games in both variety and quality.This included achievements such as the“100-meter level,minute level”downscaled spatiotemporal resolution and forecasts spanning 1 to 15 days.Around 30 new technologies and over 60 kinds of products that align with the requirements of the Winter Olympics Organizing Committee were developed,and many of these techniques have since been integrated into the CMA’s operational national forecasting systems.These accomplishments were facilitated by a dedicated weather forecasting and research initiative,in conjunction with the preexisting real-time operational forecasting systems of the CMA.This program represents one of the five subprograms of the WMO’s high-impact weather forecasting demonstration project(SMART2022),and continues to play an important role in their Regional Association(RA)II Research Development Project(Hangzhou RDP).Therefore,the research accomplishments and meteorological service experiences from this program will be carried forward into forthcoming highimpact weather forecasting activities.This article provides an overview and assessment of this program and the operational national forecasting systems.Guo DENG Xueshun SHEN Jun DU Jiandong GONG Hua TONG Liantang DENG Zhifang XU Jing CHEN Jian SUN Yong WANG Jiangkai HU Jianjie WANG Mingxuan CHEN Huiling YUAN Yutao ZHANG Hongqi LI Yuanzhe WANG Li GAO Li SHENG Da LI Li LI Hao WANG Ying ZHAO Yinglin LI Zhili LIU Wenhua GUO 2024Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2024,41,5:0
12Aligned Ni nanowires towards highly stretchable electrode显示文摘Easy fabrication of super-stretchable electrodes can pave the way for smart and wearable electronics.Using drop casting unidirectional nickel nanowires with polyurethane matrix,we fabricated a super-stretchable film with high electric conductivity.The as-fabricated film can withstand a 300%tensile strain in the direction perpendicular to nanowires,owing to the transformation of percolating nanowire network from 2D to 3D.In contrast to the decreased film conductivities under large tension in most stretchable electrodes,which usually associate with fractures and irreversible deformations,our film conductivity can increase with the applied strain.This probably benefits from the enhanced electrical contacts between twisted nanowires under tension.The developed super-stretchable film with unprecedented behavior in this work sheds light on the facile fabrication of super-stretchable electrodes with durable performance.LI JiDong NIU JiYuan LI XueMei ZHOU JianXin HU ZhiLi GUO WanLin 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,10:0

14Ultra-short-course and intermittent TB47-containing oral regimens produce stable cure against Buruli ulcer in a murine model and prevent the emergence of resistance for Mycobacterium ulcerans显示文摘Buruli ulcer(BU),caused by Mycobacterium ulcerans,is currently treated with rifampin estreptomycin or rifampineclarithromycin daily for 8 weeks recommended by World Health Organization(WHO).These options are lengthy with severe side effects.A new anti-tuberculosis drug,TB47,targeting QcrB in cytochrome bc1:aa3 complex is being developed in China.TB47-containing regimens were evaluated in a well-established murine model using an autoluminescent M.ulcerans strain.Highlevel TB47-resistant spontaneous M.ulcerans mutants were selected and their qcrB genes were sequenced.The in vivo activities of TB47 against both low-level and high-level TB47-resistant mutants were tested in BU murine model.Here,we show that TB47-containing oral 3-drug regimens can completely cure BU in 2 weeks for daily use or in 3 weeks given twice per week(6 doses in total).All high-level TB47-resistant mutants could only be selected using the low-level mutants which were still sensitive to TB47 in mice.This is the first report of double mutations in QcrB in mycobacteria.In summary,TB47-containing regimens have promise to cure BU highly effectively and prevent the emergence of drug resistance.Novel QcrB mutations found here may guide the potential clinical molecular diagnosis of resistance and the discovery of new drugs against the high-level resistant mutants.Yamin Gao HMAdnan Hameed Yang Liu Lingmin Guo Cuiting Fang Xirong Tian Zhiyong Liu Shuai Wang Zhili Lu Md Mahmudul Islam Tianyu Zhang 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,3:0

16Influence of Ag substitution on thermoelectric properties of the quaternary diamond-like compound Zn_(2)Cu_(3)In_(3)Te_(8)显示文摘The quaternary diamond-like compounds,A_(2)Cu_(3)In_(3)Te_(8)(A=Cd,Zn,Mn,Mg),are a new class of thermoelectric materials recently proposed by complex structure design.Among them,the Zn_(2)Cu_(3)In_(3)Te_(8) compound possesses reasonable electrical transport properties but relatively high lattice thermal conductivity.Herein,the effects of Ag substitution on the phase stability and thermoelectric properties of Zn_(2)Cu_(3)In_(3)Te_(8) compound are reported.It is revealed that only the In sites show an appreciable tolerance for Ag doping.Ag substitution at the In sites introduces extra holes and thus results in improved electrical transport properties.Furthermore,the introducing of Ag lowers the sound velocities and enhances the phonon scattering of the Zn_(2)Cu_(3)In_(3)Te_(8) compound,which leads to a substantially reduction in lattice thermal conductivity.Finally,in virtue of the optimization in both electrical and thermal transport properties,the maximal zT value of Zn_(2)Cu_(3)In_(2.8)Ag_(0.2)Te_(8) sample reaches 0.62 at 823 K,which is 43%higher than the pristine sample.Qidong Zhang Lili Xi Jiye Zhang Chenyang Wang Li You Shanshan Pan Kai Guo Zhili Li Jun Luo 2021Journal of Materiomics2021,7,2:0
17Neuro-11:a new questionnaire for the assessment of somatic symptom disorder in general hospitals显示文摘Background Somatic symptom disorder(SSD)commonly presents in general hospital settings,posing challenges for healthcare professionals lacking specialised psychiatric training.The Neuro-11 Neurosis Scale(Neuro-11)offers promise in screening and evaluating psychosomatic symptoms,comprising 11 concise items across three dimensions:somatic symptoms,negative emotions and adverse events.Prior research has validated the scale’s reliability,validity and theoretical framework in somatoform disorders,indicating its potential as a valuable tool for SSD screening in general hospitals.Aims This study aimed to establish the reliability,validity and threshold of the Neuro-11 by comparing it with standard questionnaires commonly used in general hospitals for assessing SSD.Through this comparative analysis,we aimed to validate the effectiveness and precision of the Neuro-11,enhancing its utility in clinical settings.Methods Between November 2020 and December 2021,data were collected from 731 patients receiving outpatient and inpatient care at Shenzhen People’s Hospital in China for various physical discomforts.The patients completed multiple questionnaires,including the Neuro-11,Short Form 36 Health Survey,Patient Health Questionnaire 15 items,Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale.Psychiatry-trained clinicians conducted structured interviews and clinical examinations to establish a gold standard diagnosis of SSD.Results The Neuro-11 demonstrated strong content reliability and structural consistency,correlating significantly with internationally recognised and widely used questionnaires.Despite its brevity,the Neuro-11 exhibited significant correlations with other questionnaires.A test-retest analysis yielded a correlation coefficient of 1.00,Spearman-Brown coefficient of 0.64 and Cronbach’sαcoefficient of 0.72,indicating robust content reliability and internal consistency.Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the validity of the three-dimensional structure(p<0.001,comparative fit index=0.94,Tucker-Lewis index=0.92,root mean square error of approximation=0.06,standardised root mean square residual=0.04).The threshold of the Neuro-11 is set at 10 points based on the maximum Youden’s index from the receiver operating characteristic curve analysis.In terms of diagnostic efficacy,the Neuro-11 has an area under the curve of 0.67.Silin Zeng Yian Yu Shan Lu Sirui Zhang Xiaolin Su Ge Dang Ying Liu Zhili Cai Siyan Chen Yitao He Xin Jiang Chanjuan Chen Lei Yuan Peng Xie Jianqing Shi Qingshan Geng Rafael H Llinas Yi Guo 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,4:0

19An analog of Friedel oscillations in nanoconfined water显示文摘Water confined in nanometer-scale crevices and cavities underpins a wide range of fundamental processes,such as capillary flow,ion transport and protein folding.However,how water responds within these confined spaces,with prevalent inhomogeneity built in or caused by impurities,is not well understood.Here,we show theoretically that water confined in one-dimensional nano channels with localized perturbation exhibits pronounced density oscillations.The oscillations occur vividly like the Friedel oscillations in electron density resulting from defects in metals.A model analysis reveals that the density oscillations result from the perturbation-induced molecular scattering that is augmented by the confinement-enhanced correlation of water dipoles.This renders the oscillations a general behavior independent of the channel geometries and specific forms of the perturbation.Under confinements comparable to biological ion channels,such oscillations can strikingly extend over 10 nm,resulting in non-trivial effects at large distances that,for example,repel all ions from the channels with their long-range force.These results deepen the understanding of biological functions and inspire new applications in a variety of domains,such as ionic sensing and seawater desalination.Minmin Xue Zhili Hu Hu Qiu Chun Shen Wanlin Guo Zhuhua Zhang 2022National Science Review2022,9,9:0
20Maternal inheritance of severe hypertriglyceridemia impairs glucose metabolism in offspring显示文摘Maternally inherited familial hypercholesterolemia(FH) impairs glucose metabolism and increases cardiovascular risks in the offspring to a greater degree than paternal inherited FH.However,it remains unknown whether hypertriglyceridemia affects glucose metabolism via inheritance.In this study,we sought to compare the impact of maternally and paternally inherited hypertriglyceridemia on glucose and lipid metabolism in mice.Apo CIII transgenic mice with severe hypertriglyceridemia were mated with non-transgenic control mice to obtain 4 types of offspring:maternal non-transgenic control and maternal transgenic offspring,and paternal control and paternal transgenic offspring.Plasma triglycerides(TG),total cholesterol(TC),fasting plasma glucose(FPG) and fasting insulin(FINS) were measured.Apo CIII overexpression caused severe hypertriglyceridemia,but the transgenic female mice had unaltered fertility with normal pregnancy and birth of pups.The 4 groups of offspring had similar birth weight and growth rate.The plasma TG of maternal and paternal transgenic offspring were nearly 40-fold higher than maternal and paternal control mice,but there was no difference in plasma TG between maternal and paternal transgenic offspring.Although the FPG of the 4 groups of animals had no difference,the maternal transgenic mice showed impaired glucose tolerance,increased FINS levels and higher homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR) than the other 3 groups.In conclusion,maternally inherited hypertriglyceridemia in Apo CIII transgenic mice displayed impaired glucose tolerance,hyperinsulinemia and increased HOMA-R,while paternally inherited hypertriglyceridemia did not have such impacts.Ya-Hong Ma Caiguo Yu Abudurexiti Kayoumu Xin Guo Zhili Ji George Liu 2015The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,2:0
