| 1 | Geochemical Characteristics,Genesis of Concealed Cu-rich Ore Body in the Jinchuan Deposit,Northwestern China,and Its Prospecting显示文摘The Jinchuan deposit is hosted by the olivine-rich ultramafic rock body, which is the third-largest magmatic sulfide Ni-Cu deposit in the world currently being exploited. Seeking new relaying resources in the deep and the border of the deposit becomes more and more important. The ore body, ore and geochemistry characteristics of the concealed Cu-rich ore body are researched. Through spatial analysis and comparison with the neighboring Ⅱ1 main ore body, the mineralization rule of the concealed Cu-rich ore body is summed up. It is also implied that Cu-rich magma may exist between Ni-rich magma and ore pulp during liquation differentiation in deep-stage chambers, which derives from deep-mantle Hi-MgO basalt magma. It is concluded that the type of ore body has features of both magmatic liquation and late reconstruction action. It has experienced three stages: deep liquation and pulsatory injection of the Cu- and PPGE-rich magma, concentration of tectonic activation, and the later magma hydrothermal superimposition. In addition, the Pb and S isotopes indicate the magma of I6 concealed Cu-rich ore body originates predominantly from mantle; however, it is interfused by minute crust material. | 2 | Double-composite rectangular truss bridge and its joint analysis显示文摘This paper describes a novel composite tubular truss bridge with concrete slab and concrete-filled rectangular chords. With concrete slab plus truss system and joints reinforced with concrete and Perfobond Leiste rib, double composite truss bridge proved to be a fairly suitable solution in negative moment area. Perfobond Leiste shear connector(PBL) is widely implemented in the composite structure for its outstanding fatigue resistance. In this pilot bridge, Perfobond Leister ribs(PBR) were installed in the truss girder's joints,which played double roles as shear connector and stiffener. An erection method and overall bridge structural analysis were then presented. Typical joints in the pilot bridge were selected to analyze the effect of PBR. Investigation of the effect of PBR in concretefilled tubular joints was elaborated. Comparison has revealed that concrete-filled tubular joints with PBR have much higher constraint capability than joints without PBR. For rectangular tubular truss, the punching shear force of the concrete filled joint with PBR is approximately 43% larger than that of the joint without PBR. Fatigue performance of the joint installed with PBR was improved, which was found through analysis of the stress concentration factor of joint. The PBR installed in the joints mitigated the stress concentration factor in the chord face. | 4 | Expression of a rice OsARGOS gene in Arabidopsis promotes cell division and expansion and increases organ size显示文摘The ARGOS gene in Arabidopsis plays a key role in controlling plant organ size. To determine the function of it's ortholog in rice, a putative ARGOS orthologous gene from rice tissues was isolated and designated as OsARGOS. This gene has only one copy in the rice genome. OsARGOS transcripts were detected in most of rice tissues, particularly in the young tissues, and its expression was induced in rice seedlings by the application of either auxin or cytokinin. Arabidopsis plants expressing OsARGOS led to larger organs, such as leaves and siliques, compared with wild-type plants. Interestingly, the root growth was also enhanced in these transgenic Arabidopsis plants. Therefore, the biomass of the transgenic plants was significantly increased. Further analysis revealed that, different from the ARGOS and ARGOS-LIKE genes in Arabidopsis, the OsARGOS gene enlarged organ by an increase in both cell number and cell size. In addition, the transcript levels of several organ size-associated genes regulating either cell division or cell growth were upregulated in the transgenic Arabidopsis plants. We also transferred the OsARGOS gene to rice, but the transgenic plants did not show any changes in organ size compared with the control plants. It is likely that the function of OsARGOS in organ size control depends on other size regulators in rice. The expression of OsARGOS in Arabidopsis may activate the signaling pathways that control cell proliferation and cell expansion during the course of plant growth and development. | 8 | Internal Loads and Bioavailability of Phosphorus and Nitrogen in Dianchi Lake,China显示文摘Sediments have a significant influence on the cycling of nutrient elements in lake environments. In order to assess the distribution characteristics and estimate the bioavailability of phosphorus and nitrogen in Dianchi Lake, organic and inorganic phosphorus and nitrogen forms were analysed. The 210 Pb radiometric dating method was employed to study temporal changes in the phosphorus and nitrogen pools in Dianchi Lake. The result show that the total phosphorus(TP) and total nitrogen(TN) were both at high concentrations, ranging from 697.5–3210.0 mg/kg and 1263.7–7155.2 mg/kg, respectively. Inorganic phosphorus(IP) and total organic nitrogen(TON) were the main constituents, at percentages of 59%–78% and 74%–95%, respectively, in the sediments. Spatially, there was a decreasing trend in phosphorus and nitrogen contents from the south and north to the lake centre, which is related to the distribution pattern of local economic production. The burial rates of the various phosphorus and nitrogen forms increased in same spatially and over time. Particularly in the past two decades, the burial rates doubled, with that TN reached to 1.287 mg/(cm^2·yr) in 2014. As the most reactive forms, nitrate nitrogen(NO_3-N) and ammonia nitrogen(NH_4-N) were buried more rapidly in the south region, implying that the potential for releasing sedimentary nitrogen increased from north to south. Based on their concentrations and burial rates, the internal loads of phosphorus and nitrogen were analysed for the last century. A TP pool of 71597.6 t and a TN pool of 81191.7 t were estimated for Dianchi Lake. | 15 | Impacts of reduced wind speed on physiology and ecosystem carbon flux of a semi-arid steppe ecosystem显示文摘Decreasing wind speed is one aspect of global climate change as well as global warming, and has become a new research orientation in recent decades. The decrease is especially evident in places with frequent perennially high wind speeds. We simulated decreased wind speed by using a steel-sheet wind shield in a temperate grassland in Inner Mongolia to examine the changes in physical environmental variables, as well as their impacts on the photosynthesis of grass leaves and net ecosystem exchange(NEE). We then used models to calculate the variation of boundary layer conductance(BLC) and its impact on leaf photosynthesis, and this allowed us to separate the direct effects of wind speed reduction on leaf photosynthesis(BLC) from the indirect ones(via soil moisture balance). The results showed that reduced wind speed primarily resulted in higher moisture and temperature in soil, and indirectly affected net assimilation and water use efficiency of the prevalent bunch grass Stipa krylovii. | 17 | Non-Ischemic, Non-Hypoxic Myocardial Injury, and Long-Term Mortality in Patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019: A Retrospective Cohort Study显示文摘Objective:Cardiac damage is commonly reported in patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)but its prevalence and impact on the long-term survival of patients remain uncertain.This study aimed to explore the prevalence of myocardial injury and assess its prognostic value in patients with COVID-19.Methods:A single-center,retrospective cohort study was performed at the Affiliated Hospital of Jianghan University.Data from 766 patients with confirmed COVID-19 who were hospitalized from December 27,2019 to April 25,2020 were collected.Demographic,clinical,laboratory,electrocardiogram,treatment data and all-cause mortality during follow-up were collected and analyzed.Results:Of the 766 patients with moderate to critically ill COVID-19,86(11.2%)died after a mean follow-up of 72.8 days.Myocardial injury occurred in 94(12.3%)patients.The mortality rate was 64.9%(61/94)and 3.7%(25/672)in patients with and without myocardial injury,respectively.Cox regression showed that myocardial injury was an independent risk factor for mortality(hazard ratio:8.76,95%confidence interval:4.76–16.11,P<0.001).Of the 90 patients with myocardial injury with electrocardiogram results,sinus tachycardia was present in 29,bundle branch block in 26,low voltage in 10,and abnormal T-wave in 53.Conclusions:COVID-19 not only involves pneumonia but also cardiac damage.Myocardial injury is a common complication and an independent risk factor for mortality in COVID-19 patients. | Fajiu Li Xijie Zhu Ziyang Zhu Yinjian Yang Zhuang Tian Duolao Wang Shi Chen Xiaoyan Gao Yalin Xu Bo Zhang Wei Yu Min Liu Xiqi Xu Chenghong Li Shuyang Zhang | 2022 | Cardiology Discovery2022,2,2: | 0 |
