| 1 | Chinese Stroke Center Alliance:a national effort to improve healthcare quality for acute stroke and transient ischaemic attack:rationale,design and preliminary findings显示文摘Background In June 2015,the Chinese Stroke Association(CSA)initiated the Chinese Stroke Center Alliance(CSCA)to establish the national hospital-based stroke care quality assessment and improvement platform.This article outlines its objectives,operational structure,patient population,quality improvement(QI)intervention tools,data elements,data collection methodology and current patient and hospital data.Methods The CSCA is a national,hospital-based,multicentre,voluntary,multifaceted intervention and continuous QI initiative.This multifaceted intervention includes stroke centre development,written care protocols,workshops and a monitoring/feedback system of evidencebased performance measures.The data coordinating centre of the CSCA resides at the China National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases,Beijing Tiantan Hospital.results As of July 2017,1576 hospitals in China have contributed detailed clinical information to serve as a benchmark for the stroke care quality of 433264 patients with acute stroke/transient ischaemic attacks(TIA),including 352572(81.38%)acute ischaemic stroke,30362(7.01%)TIA,42080(9.71%)spontaneous intracranial haemorrhage,5505(1.27%)subarachnoid haemorrhage and 2745(0.63%)not specified stroke.Conclusion The CSCA programme is designed to establish a continuous national stroke registry and help healthcare providers develop stroke centres and treat patients in a consistent manner in accordance with accepted national guidelines and,ultimately,improve patient outcomes.It supports the CSA mission to reduce stroke burden in China. | Yongjun Wang Zixiao Li Yilong Wang Xingquan Zhao Liping Liu Xin Yang Caiyun Wang Hongqiu Gu Fuying Zhang Chunjuan Wang Ying Xian David Z Wang Qiang Dong Anding Xu Jizong Zhao Chinese Stroke Center Alliance investigators | 2018 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2018,3,4: | 38 |
| 2 | Chemical fingerprint analysis of Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma by high-performance liquid chromatography显示文摘Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma(also called 'Longdan' in Chinese)is commonly used for eliminating damp-heat and quenching the fire of liver and gall bladder in traditional Chinese medicine.In this study,a novel and reliable method using high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)was developed both for quantitative analysis of four bioactive compounds(loganic acid,swertiamarin,gentiopicroside and sweroside)and chemical fingerprint analysis of 'Longdan'.In quantitative analysis,four compounds showed good regressions(R^(2)>40.9987)within the test ranges and the recovery of the method was in the range 97.61-102.49%.In fingerprint analysis,ten characteristic peaks were selected to evaluate the similarities of the crude drugs,and the HPLC chromatograms of twenty samples from different regions of China showed similar patterns.The results demonstrated that the combination of the quantitative and chromatographic fingerprint analyses offered an efficient way to evaluate the quality consistency of Gentianae Radix et Rhizoma. | Baozhong Duan Jianyong Hu Linfang Huang Xianying Yang Fuying Chen | 2012 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2012,2,1: | 8 |
| 3 | Ionospheric disturbances associated with the 2015 M7.8 Nepal earthquake显示文摘Based on the total electron content(TEC) derived from Global Positioning System(GPS) observations of the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC) and the Global Ionosphere Map(GIM)from the Center for Orbit Determination in Europe(CODE),we detected and analyzed the ionospheric variations during the 2015 M7.8 Nepal earthquake(including the pre-earthquake ionospheric anomalies and coseismic ionospheric disturbances(CIDs) following the main shock).The analysis of vertical total electron content(VTEC) time series shows that the large-scale ionospheric anomalies appeared near the epicenter two days prior to the earthquake.Moreover,the pre-earthquake ionospheric anomalies were also observed in the geomagnetically conjugated region.In view of solar-terrestrial environment,the pre-earthquake ionospheric anomalies could be associated with the Nepal earthquake.In addition,we also detected the CIDs through the high-frequency GPS observation stations.The CIDs had obvious oscillated waveforms with the peak-to-peak disturbance amplitudes of about 1 TECu and 0.4 TECu,which propagated approximately with the horizontal velocities of 877 ± 75 m/s and 319 ± 30 m/s,respectively.The former is triggered directly by the acoustic waves which originated from the energy release of the earthquake near the epicenter,while the latter could be stimulated by the acoustic-gravity waves from the partial transformation of the acoustic waves. | Yiyan Zhou Jian Yang Fuying Zhu Fanfan Su Liangchen Hu Wenbo Zhai | 2017 | Geodesy and Geodynamics2017,8,4: | 4 |
| 4 | Preparation and characterization of sulfated TiO_2 with rhodium modification used in esterification reaction and decomposition of methyl orange显示文摘A unique Rh/TiO_2 solid acid catalyst modified with H_2SO_4 was synthesized and evaluated in the esterification reaction of propylene glycol methyl ether and decomposition of methyl orange(MO) in aqueous phase under halogen lamp irradiation. For this purpose, rhodium(Rh) nanoparticles were loaded on SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2 via the photo-deposition method. It was found that SO_4^(2-)/Rh–TiO_2 exhibited stronger catalytic activity than SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2. The new catalysts were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET), Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and high-resolution(HRTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR). Results from XRD and BET show that SO_4^(2-)/Rh–TiO_2 has higher specific surface area and smaller pore size than SO42-/TiO_2. The distribution of loaded Rh was found to be uniform with a particle size of 2–4 nm. Data from XPS reveal that Rh primarily exists as Rh^0 and Rh^(3+)in Rh–TiO_2 and SO_4^(2)-/Rh–TiO_2. These valence forms of Rh likely contribute to the enhanced catalytic activity. Furthermore, FT-IR spectra of the catalysts show an abundance of surface hydroxyl groups, which help the formation of hydroxyl radicals and the enhancement of surface acid density. The results show that more acid sites are formed on the sulfated Rh–TiO_2, and these acidic sites are largely responsible for improving the catalytic performance. | 6 | Identification of QTL for kernel number-related traits in a rice chromosome segment substitution line and fine mapping of qSP1显示文摘A chromosome segment substitution line (CSSL) is a powerful tool for combining quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping with the pyramiding of desirable alleles. The rice CSSL Z1364 with increased kernel number was identified in a BC3F8 population derived from a cross of Nipponbare as the recipient with Xihui 18 as the donor parent. Z1364 carried three substitution segments distributed on chromosomes 1, 6, and 8. The mean substitution length was 1.19 Mb. Of 17 QTL identified on the substitution segments, qSP1 for spikelets per panicle, qSSD1 for seed-set density, and qNSB1 for number of secondary branches explained respectively 57.34%, 87.7%, and 49.44% of the corresponding phenotypic variance and were all linked to RM6777. Chi-square analysis showed that the increased kernel number in Z1364 was inherited recessively by a single gene. By fine mapping, qSP1 was delimited to a 50-kb region on the short arm of chromosome 1. Based on DNA sequence, a previously uncharacterized rice homolog of Arabidopsis thaliana AT4G32551 was identified as a candidate gene for qSP1 in which mutation increases the number of spikelets and kernels in Z1364. qSP1 was expressed in all tissues, but particularly in 1-cm panicles. The expression levels of OsMADS22, GN1A, and DST were upregulated and those of LAX2, GNP1, and GHD7 were downregulated in Nipponbare. | 7 | Innate immune checkpoint Siglec10 in cancers:mining of comprehensive omics data and validation in patient samples显示文摘Sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin 10(Siglec10)is a member of innate immune checkpoints that inhibits the activation of immune cells through the interaction with its ligand CD24 on tumor cells.Here,by analyzing public databases containing 64517 patients of 33 cancer types,we found that the expression of Siglec10 was altered in 18 types of cancers and was associated with the clinical outcomes of 11 cancer types.In particular,Siglec10 was upregulated in patients with kidney renal clear cell carcinoma(KIRC)and was inversely associated with the prognosis of the patients.In 131 KIRC patients of our settings,Siglec10 was elevated in the tumor tissues of 83(63.4%)patients compared with that in their counterpart normal kidney tissues.Moreover,higher level of Siglec10 was associated with advanced disease(stages III and IV)and worse prognosis.Silencing of CD24 in KIRC cells significantly increased the number of Siglec10-expressing macrophages phagocytosing KIRC cells.In addition,luciferase activity assays suggested that Siglec10 was a potential target of the transcription factors c-FOS and GATA1,which were identified by data mining.These results demonstrate that Siglec10 may have important oncogenic functions in KIRC,and represents a novel target for the development of immunotherapies. | Chen Zhang Jiandong Zhang Fan Liang Han Guo Sanhui Gao Fuying Yang Hua Guo Guizhen Wang Wei Wang Guangbiao Zhou | 2022 | Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,4: | 2 |
| 8 | Formation mechanisms,potentials and exploration practices of large lithologic gas reservoirs in and around an intracratonic rift:Taking the Sinian-Cambrian of Sichuan Basin as an example显示文摘By examining structures,sediments,reservoirs and accumulation assemblages in the Deyang-Anyue rift and its surrounding area,four new understandings are obtained.First,during the initiation period of Deyang-Anyue rift,multiple groups of faults developed in the rift due to the effect of tensile force,bringing about multiple mound and shoal belts controlled by horsts in the second member of the Sinian Dengying Formation;in the development stage of the rift,the boundary faults of the rift controlled the development of mound and shoal belts at the platform margin in the fourth member of Dengying Formation;during the shrinkage period of the rift,platform margin grain shoals of the Cambrian Canglangpu Formation developed in the rift margin.Second,four sets of large-scale mound and shoal reservoirs in the second member of Dengying Formation,the fourth member of Dengying Formation,Canglangpu Formation and Longwangmiao Formation overlap with several sets of source rocks such as Qiongzhusi Formation source rocks and Dengying Formation argillaceous limestone or dolomite developed inside and outside the rift,forming good source-reservoir-cap rock combinations;the sealing of tight rock layers in the lateral and updip direction results in the formation model of large lithologic gas reservoirs of oil pool before gas,continuous charging and independent preservation of each gas reservoir.Third,six favorable exploration zones of large-scale lithologic gas reservoirs have been sorted out through comprehensive evaluation,namely,mound and shoal complex controlled by horsts in the northern part of the rift in the second member of Dengying Formation,isolated karst mound and shoal complex of the fourth member of Dengying Formation in the south of the rift,the superimposed area of multi-stage platform margin mounds and shoals of the second and fourth members of Dengying Formation and Canglangpu Formation in the north slope area,the platform margin mounds and shoals of the second and fourth members of Dengying Formation in the west side of the rift,the platform margin mound and shoal bodies of the fourth member of Dengying Formation in the south slope area,etc.Fourth,Well Pengtan-1 drilled on the mound and shoal complex controlled by horsts of the second member of Dengying Formation in the rift and Well Jiaotan-1 drilled on the platform margin mound and shoal complex of the North Slope have obtained high-yield gas flows in multiple target layers,marking the discovery of a new gas province with reserves of(2-3)×10^(12) m^(3).This has proved the huge exploration potential of large lithologic gas reservoir group related to intracratonic rift. | WEI Guoqi YANG Wei XIE Wuren SU NanX IE Zengye ZENG Fuying MA Shiyu JIN Hui WANG Zhihong ZHU Qiuying HAO Cuiguo WANG Xiaodan | 2022 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,3: | 2 |
| 9 | Auxin signaling module OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF regulates grain yield traits in rice显示文摘Auxin is an important phytohormone in plants, and auxin signaling pathways in rice play key roles in regulating its growth, development, and productivity. To investigate how rice grain yield traits are regulated by auxin signaling pathways and to facilitate their application in rice improvement, we validated the functional relationships among regulatory genes such as OsIAA10, OsSK41, and OsARF21 that are involved in one of the auxin(OsIAA10) signaling pathways. We assessed the phenotypic effects of these genes on several grain yield traits across two environments using knockout and/or overexpression transgenic lines.Based on the results, we constructed a model that showed how grain yield traits were regulated by OsIAA10 and OsTIR1, OsAFB2, and OsSK41 and OsmiR393 in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module and by OsARF21 in the transcriptional regulation of downstream auxin response genes in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module. The population genomic analyses revealed rich genetic diversity and the presence of major functional alleles at most of these loci in rice populations. The strong differentiation of many major alleles between Xian/indica and Geng/japonica subspecies and/or among modern varieties and landraces suggested that they contributed to improved productivity during evolution and breeding. | 16 | The Expression of Ca N and CaMK is Associated with Lipogenesis in the Muscle of Chicken显示文摘Intramuscular fat(IMF) content in chickens significantly contributes to meat quality. The main objective of this study was to assess the expression of calcineurin(Ca N) and Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase(Ca MK) in lipogenesis in chicken muscle. The chickens were slaughtered and sampled at the ages of4, 8, and 16 weeks, respectively. IMF content and the expression of Ca N subunits and Ca MK isoforms were measured in thigh muscle tissue. The results showed that the IMF contents were higher in chickens at the age of 16 weeks compared with those in chickens at the ages of 4 and 8 weeks(P <0.05). The expression levels of fatty acid synthase(FAS) and fatty acid translocase CD36(FAT/CD36)m RNA in 16-week-old chickens were all significantly up-regulated compared with those in 4-week-old chickens(P<0.05). The m RNA levels of Ca NB and Ca MK IV in 16-week-old chickens were significantly lower than those in 4-week-old chickens(P<0.05). But the Ca MK II m RNA levels in 16-week-old chickens were significantly higher than those in 4-week-old chickens(P <0.05). To investigate the roles of Ca MK and Ca N in adipogenesis, SV cells were incubated in standard adipogenesis medium for 24 h and treated with specific inhibitor of Ca MK and Ca N. The expressions of CCAAT/enhancer binding protein β(C/EBPβ), sterol regulatory elementbinding protein 1(SREBP1) and peroxisome proliferation-activated receptor γ(PPARγ) were dramatically enhanced by Cs A and Ca N inhibitor(P <0.05). KN93,a Ca MK II inhibitor, dramatically repressed the expression of those lipogenic genes(P<0.05). | 18 | A Statistical Algorithm for Retrieving Background Value of Absorbing Aerosol Index Based on TROPOMI Measurements显示文摘The ultraviolet aerosol index(UVAI) is essential for monitoring the absorbing aerosols during aerosol events. UVAI depends on the absorbing aerosol concentration, the viewing geometry, and the temporal drift of radiometric sensitivity. To efficiently detect absorbing aerosols with the highest precision and to improve the accuracy of long-term UVAI estimates,the background UVAI must be examined through the UVAI retrieval. This study presents a statistical method that calculates the background value of UVAI using TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument(TROPOMI) observation data over the Pacific Ocean under clear-sky scenes. Radiative transfer calculations were performed to simulate the dependence of UVAI on aerosol type and viewing geometry. We firstly applied the background UVAI to reducing the effects of viewing geometry and the degradation of the TROPOMI irradiance measurements on the UVAI. The temporal variability of the background UVAI under the same viewing geometry and aerosol concentration was identified. Radiative transfer calculations were performed to study the changes in background UVAI using Aerosol Optical Depth from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS) and reflectance measurements from TROPOMI as input. The trends of the temporal variations in the background UVAI agreed with the simulations. Alterations in the background UVAI expressed the reflectance variations driven by the changes in satellite state. Decreasing trends in solar irradiance at 340 and 380 nm due to instrument degradation were identified. | 19 | Seasonal features of topside scale height based on COSMIC measurements显示文摘Plasma scale height is an important parameter of topside ionosphere and contains information about ionospheric physics and dynamic. We investigated the seasonal features of vertical scale height with the electron density profiles from COSMIC. We found that vertical scale height around 660 km at middle latitudes generally has larger values in winter than in summer and had similar structures at March Equinox and September Equinox no matter daytime or nighttime. Bands of large vertical scale height appear at night around ±36° magnetic latitude in all seasons except summer for low solar activity, and mostly appear in winter for moderate solar activity. | 20 | The pre-Sinian rift in central Sichuan Basin and its control on hydrocarbon accumulation in the overlying strata显示文摘Based on the latest seismic data, resistivity profile, outcrop evidence and logging data, the structural features of basement in Sichuan Basin and its control on the hydrocarbon accumulation in the Sinian-Cambrian strata was discussed. It was found that a NE striking pre-Sinian rift was developed across the whole basin. Controlled by a series of rift-parallel normal faults, horst-graben structures were developed inside the rift, large horst-graben structures and later activity of their boundary faults controlled the distribution of beach facies of the overlying strata. The horst-graben structures induced the formation of local highs of ancient landform and controlled the successive development of overlapped bioherm beach facies in long-term marine setting from the Sinian period to the Permian period, and as a result a widely distributed favorable sedimentary facies belt was developed. The pre-Sinian rift and later activities of related normal faults controlled the development of the grain beach and karst reservoirs and the deposition of high quality source rock, which form structural-lithologic traps.
