1Protective Effect of Magnesium Isoglycyrrhizinate on Ethanol-Induced Testicular Injuries in Mice显示文摘Objective:Ethanol treatment induces an increase in oxidative stress. As licorice compounds are potent antioxidants, our aim was to examine whether magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate attenuated lipid peroxidation, the major end-point of oxidative damage resulting from ethanol administration. Methods: Four groups(18 animals in each group) of male Kunming mice were used. The first group served as control and received 0.4 ml normal saline daily for 18 days orally. The second group of mice was given 56% ethanol at 16 ml/kg body weight per day for 18 days orally. The third group was given the same dose of ethanol and administrated magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate (15 mg/kg.d, i.p.) for 18 days. The fourth group was given the same dose of ethanol and administrated with magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate (45 mg/kg.d, i.p.) for 18 days. Twenty four hours after 9 days or 18 days of treatment the mice were sacrificed using 10% chloral hydrate. Sperm counts and motility in the epididymis were assessed. The lipid peroxidation and antioxidants of testicular mitochondria were also determined. The pathological changes of testicle tissue of the mice were observed by light microscopy. Results: Magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate effectively prevented the ethanol-induced seminiferous epithelium disorganization and degeneration of Sertoli cells and germ cells. Sperm counts and motility of the magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate treated groups were higher than those of the alcohol treated group, but were lower than those of the control group. The drug exhibited an ability to counteract ethanol induced oxidative challenge as it effectively reduced testicular malondialdehyde (MDA) and increased the activities of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase. 3Effects of L-3-n-butylphthalide on caspase-3 and nuclear factor kappa-B expression in primary basal forebrain and hippocampal cultures after beta-amyloid peptide 1-42 treatment显示文摘BACKGROUND:L-3-n-butylphthalide(L-NBP) can inhibit phosphorylation of tau protein and reduce the neurotoxicity of beta-amyloid peptide 1-42(Aβ_(1-42)). OBJECTIVE:To observe the neuroprotective effects of L-NBP on caspase-3 and nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB) expression in a rat model of Alzheimer's disease. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A cell experiment was performed at the Central Laboratory of Provincial Hospital affiliated to Shandong University between January 2008 and August 2008. MATERIALS:L-NBP(purity>98%) was provided by Shijiazhuang Pharma Group NBP Pharmaceutical Company Limited.Aβ_(1-42),3-[4,5-dimethylthiazolo-2]-2,5 iphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT),and rabbit anti-Caspase-3 polyclonal antibody were provided by Cell Signaling, USA;goat anti-choactase and rabbit anti-NF-κB antibodies were provided by Santa Cruz,USA. METHODS:Primary cultures were generated from rat basal forebrain and hippocampal neurons at 17 or 19 days of gestation.The cells were assigned into five groups:the control group,the Aβ_(1-42) group(2μmol/ L),the Aβ_(1-42) + 0.1μmol/L L-NBP group,the Aβ_(1-42)+ 1μmol/L L-NBP group,and the Aβ_(1-42)+ 10μmol/L L-NBP group.The neurons were treated with Aβ_(1-42)(2μmol/L) alone or in combination with L-NBP(0.1,1,10μmol/L) for 48 hours.Cells in the control group were incubated in PBS. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Morphologic changes were evaluated using inverted microscopy, viability using the MTT method,and the changes in caspase-3 and NF-κB expression using Western blot. RESULTS:Induction with Aβ_(1-42) for 48 hours caused cell death and soma atrophy,and increased caspase-3 and NF-κB expression(P<0.05).L-NBP blocked these changes in cell morphology, decreased caspase-3 and NF-κB expression(P<0.05),and improved cell viability,especially at the high dose(P<0.05). 6Carbon nanotubes for electronics manufacturing and packaging:from growth to integration显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs)possess excellent electrical,thermal and mechanical properties.They are light in weight yet stronger than most of the other materials.They can be made both highly conductive and semi-conductive.They can be made from nano-sized small catalyst particles and extend to tens of millimeters long.Since CNTs emerged as a hot topic in the early 1990s,numerous research efforts have been spent on the study of the various properties of this new material.CNTs have been proposed as alternative materials of potential excellence in a lot of applications such as electronics,chemical sensors,mechanical sensors/actuators and composite materials,etc.This paper reviews the use of CNTs particularly in electronics manufacturing and packaging field.The progresses of three most important applications,including CNT-based thermal interface materials,CNT-based interconnections and CNT-based cooling devices are reviewed.The growth and post-growth processing ofCNTs for specific applications are introduced and the tailoring of CNTs properties,i.e.,electrical resistivity,thermal conductivity and strength,etc.,is discussed with regard to specific application requirement.As the semiconductor industry is still driven by the need of getting smaller and faster,CNTs and the related composite systems as emerging new materials are likely to provide the solution to the future challenges as we make more and more complex electronics devices and systems.Johan Liu Di Jiang Yifeng Fu Teng Wang 2013Advances in Manufacturing2013,1,1:1

12The Influence of Meridional Variation in North Pacific Sea Surface Temperature Anomalies on the Arctic Stratospheric Polar Vortex显示文摘This study examines the dependence of Arctic stratospheric polar vortex(SPV)variations on the meridional positions of the sea surface temperature(SST)anomalies associated with the first leading mode of North Pacific SST.The principal component 1(PC1)of the first leading mode is obtained by empirical orthogonal function decomposition.Reanalysis data,numerical experiments,and CMIP5 model outputs all suggest that the PC1 events(positive-minus-negative PC1 events),located relatively northward(i.e.,North PC1 events),more easily weaken the Arctic SPV compared to the PC1 events located relatively southward(i.e.,South PC1 events).The analysis indicates that the North PC1-related Aleutian low anomaly is located over the northern North Pacific and thus enhances the climatological trough,which strengthens the planetary-scale wave 1 at mid-to-high latitudes and thereby weakens the SPV.The weakened stratospheric circulation further extends into the troposphere and favors negative surface temperature anomalies over Eurasia.By contrast,the South PC1-related Aleutian low anomaly is located relatively southward,and its constructive interference with the climatological trough is less efficient at high latitudes.Thus,the South PC1 events could not induce an evident enhancement of the planetary-scale waves at high latitudes and thereby a weakening of the SPV on average.The Eurasian cooling associated with South PC1 events(positive-minus-negative PC1 events)is also not prominent.The results of this study suggest that the meridional positions of the PC1 events may be useful for predicting the Arctic SPV and Eurasian surface temperature variations.Tao WANG Qiang FU Wenshou TIAN Hongwen LIU Yifeng PENG Fei XIE Hongying TIAN Jiali LUO 2023Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,12:1
13The modelling and application of cross-scale human behavior in realizing the shop-floor digital twin[version 1;peer review:1 approved with reservations,1 not approved]显示文摘The digital twin shop-floor has received much attention from the manufacturing industry as it is an important way to upgrade the shop-floor digitally and intelligently.As a key part of the shop-floor,humans'high autonomy and uncertainty leads to the difficulty in digital twin modeling of human behavior.Therefore,the modeling system for cross-scale human behavior in digital twin shop-floors was developed,powered by the data fusion of macro-behavior and micro-behavior virtual models.Shop-floor human macro-behavior mainly refers to the role of the human and their real-time position.Shop-floor micro-behavior mainly refers to real-time human limb posture and production behavior at their workstation.In this study,we reviewed and summarized a set of theoretical systems for cross-scale human behavior modeling in digital twin shop-floors.Based on this theoretical system,we then reviewed modeling theory and technology from macro-behavior and micro-behavior aspects to analyze the research status of shop-floor human behavior modeling.Lastly,we discuss and offer opinion on the application of cross-scale human behavior modeling in digital twin shop-floors.Cross-scale human behavior modeling is the key for realizing closed-loop interactive drive of human behavior in digital twin shop-floors.Tingyu Liu Mengming Xia Qing Hong Yifeng Sun Pei Zhang Liang Fu Ke Chen 2021Digital Twin2021,1,1:0
14TAD-Net:An approach for real-time action detection based on temporal convolution network and graph convolution network in digital twin shop-floor[version 1;peer review:2 approved]显示文摘Background:Intelligent monitoring of human action in production is an important step to help standardize production processes and construct a digital twin shop-floor rapidly.Human action has a significant impact on the production safety and efficiency of a shop-floor,however,because of the high individual initiative of humans,it is difficult to realize real-time action detection in a digital twin shop-floor.Methods:We proposed a real-time detection approach for shop-floor production action.This approach used the sequence data of continuous human skeleton joints sequences as the input.We then reconstructed the Joint Classification-Regression Recurrent Neural Networks(JCR-RNN)based on Temporal Convolution Network(TCN)and Graph Convolution Network(GCN).We called this approach the Temporal Action Detection Net(TAD-Net),which realized real-time shop-floor production action detection.Results:The results of the verification experiment showed that our approach has achieved a high temporal positioning score,recognition speed,and accuracy when applied to the existing Online Action Detection(OAD)dataset and the Nanjing University of Science and Technology 3 Dimensions(NJUST3D)dataset.TAD-Net can meet the actual needs of the digital twin shop-floor.Conclusions:Our method has higher recognition accuracy,temporal positioning accuracy,and faster running speed than other mainstream network models,it can better meet actual application requirements,and has important research value and practical significance for standardizing shop-floor production processes,reducing production security risks,and contributing to the understanding of real-time production action.Qing Hong Yifeng Sun Tingyu Liu Liang Fu Yunfeng Xie 2021Digital Twin2021,1,1:0
