| 4 | Remaining useful life prediction based on nonlinear random coefficient regression model with fusing failure time data显示文摘Remaining useful life(RUL) prediction is one of the most crucial elements in prognostics and health management(PHM). Aiming at the imperfect prior information, this paper proposes an RUL prediction method based on a nonlinear random coefficient regression(RCR) model with fusing failure time data.Firstly, some interesting natures of parameters estimation based on the nonlinear RCR model are given. Based on these natures,the failure time data can be fused as the prior information reasonably. Specifically, the fixed parameters are calculated by the field degradation data of the evaluated equipment and the prior information of random coefficient is estimated with fusing the failure time data of congeneric equipment. Then, the prior information of the random coefficient is updated online under the Bayesian framework, the probability density function(PDF) of the RUL with considering the limitation of the failure threshold is performed. Finally, two case studies are used for experimental verification. | 5 | Reactive oxygen species(ROS)-responsive size-reducible nanoassemblies for deeper atherosclerotic plaque penetration and enhanced macrophage-targeted drug delivery显示文摘Nanoparticle-based therapeutics represent potential strategies for treating atherosclerosis;however,the complex plaque microenvironment poses a barrier for nanoparticles to target the dysfunctional cells.Here,we report reactive oxygen species(ROS)-responsive and size-reducible nanoassemblies,formed by multivalent host-guest interactions betweenβ-cyclodextrins(β-CD)-anchored discoidal recombinant high-density lipoprotein(NP^(3)_(ST))and hyaluronic acid-ferrocene(HA-Fc)conjugates.The HA-Fc/NP^(3)_(ST)nanoassemblies have extended blood circulation time,specifically accumulate in atherosclerotic plaque mediated by the HA receptors CD44 highly expressed in injured endothelium,rapidly disassemble in response to excess ROS in the intimal and release smaller NP^(3)_(ST),allowing for further plaque penetration,macrophage-targeted cholesterol efflux and drug delivery.In vivo pharmacodynamicses in atherosclerotic mice shows that HA-Fc/NP^(3)_(ST)reduces plaque size by 53%,plaque lipid deposition by 63%,plaque macrophage content by 62%and local inflammatory factor level by 64%compared to the saline group.Meanwhile,HA-Fc/NP^(3)_(ST)alleviates systemic inflammation characterized by reduced serum inflammatory factor levels.Collectively,HA-Fc/NP^(3)_(ST)nanoassemblies with ROS-responsive and size-reducible properties exhibit a deeper penetration in atherosclerotic plaque and enhanced macrophage targeting ability,thus exerting effective cholesterol efflux and drug delivery for atherosclerosis therapy. | Jianhua He Wenli Zhang Xiaoju Zhou Fengfei Xu Jiahui Zou Qiqi Zhang Yi Zhao Hongliang He Hu Yang Jianping Liu | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,1: | 1 |

| 8 | Gut microbiota links with cognitive impairment in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: A multi-omics study显示文摘Recently, cognitive impairments(CI) and behavioral abnormalities in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS) have been reported. However, the underlying mechanisms have been poorly understood. In the current study, we explored the role of gut microbiota in CI of ALS patients. We collected fecal samples from 35ALS patients and 35 healthy controls. The cognitive function of the ALS patients was evaluated using the Edinburgh Cognitive and Behavioral ALS Screen. We analyzed these samples by using 16S rRNA gene sequencing as well as both untargeted and targeted(bile acids) metabolite mapping between patients with CI and patients with normal cognition(CN). We found altered gut microbial communities and a lower ratio of Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes in the CI group, compared with the CN group. In addition, the untargeted metabolite mapping revealed that 26 and 17 metabolites significantly increased and decreased, respectively, in the CI group, compared with the CN group. These metabolites were mapped to the metabolic pathways associated with bile acids. We further found that cholic acid and chenodeoxycholic acid were significantly lower in the CI group than in the CN group. In conclusion, we found that the gut microbiota and its metabolome profile differed between ALS patients with and without CI and that the altered bile acid profile in fecal samples was significantly associated with CI in ALS patients. | 9 | Supplementing N-carbamoylglutamate in late gestation increases newborn calf weight by enhanced placental expression of mTOR and angiogenesis factor genes in dairy cows显示文摘The objective of this study was to investigate whether supplementation with N-carbamoylglutamate(NCG)to cows during late gestation alters uteroplacental tissue nutrient transporters,calf metabolism and newborn weight.Thirty multiparous Chinese Holstein cows were used in a randomized complete block design experiment.During the last 28 d of pregnancy,cows were fed a diet without(CON)or with NCG(20 g/d per cow).The body weight of calves was weighed immediately after birth.Placentome samples were collected at parturition and used to assess mRNA expression of genes involved in transport of arginine,glucose,fatty acid and angiogenesis factors,as well as the mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)pathway.Blood samples of calves before colostrum consumption were also collected for the detection of plasma parameters,amino acids(AA)and metabolomics analysis.The newborn weight(P=0.02)and plasma Arg concentration of NCG-calves was significantly higher(P=0.05)than that of CON-calves,and the plasma concentrations of urea nitrogen tended to be lower(P=0.10)in the NCG group.The mRNA abundance of genes involved in glucose transport(solute carrier family 2 member 3[SLC2 A3],P<0.01),angiogenesis(nitric oxide synthase 3[NOS3],P=0.02),and mTOR pathway(serine/threonine-protein kinase 1[ACT1],P=0.10;euka ryotic translation initiation factor 4 B pseudogene 1[EIF4 BP1],P=0.08;EIF4 EBP2,P=0.04;and E74-like factor 2[ELF2],P=0.03)was upregulated in the placentome of NCG-supplemented cows.In addition,17 metabolites were significantly different in the placentome of NCG-supplemented cows compared to non-supplemented cows,and these metabolites are mainly involved in arginine and proline metabolism,alanine,aspartate and glutamate metabolism,and citrate cycle.In summary,the increased body weight of newborn calves from the NCG supplemented dairy cows maybe attributed to the increased angiogenesis and uteroplacental nutrient transport and to the activated mTOR signal pathway,which may result in the increased nutrient supply to the fetus,and improved AA metabolism and urea cycle of the fetus. | Fengfei Gu Luyi Jiang Linyu Xie Diming Wang Fengqi Zhao Jianxin Liu | 2021 | Animal Nutrition2021,,4: | 0 |
| 10 | Self-supported NiFe-LDH nanosheets on NiMo-based nanorods as high-performance bifunctional electrocatalysts for overall water splitting at industrial-level current densities显示文摘Efficient,durable and economic electrocatalysts are crucial for commercializing water electrolysis technology.Herein,we report an advanced bifunctional electrocatalyst for alkaline water splitting by growing NiFe-layered double hydroxide(NiFe-LDH)nanosheet arrays on the conductive NiMo-based nanorods deposited on Ni foam to form a three-dimensional(3D)architecture,which exhibits exceptional performances for both hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER).In overall water splitting,only the low operation voltages of 1.45/1.61 V are required to reach the current density of 10/500 mA·cm^(-2),and the continuous water splitting at an industrial-level current density of 500 mA·cm^(-2) shows a negligible degradation(1.8%)of the cell voltage over 1000 h.The outstanding performance is ascribed to the synergism of the HER-active NiMo-based nanorods and the OER-active NiFe-LDH nanosheet arrays of the hybridized 3D architecture.Specifically,the dense NiFe-LDH nanosheet arrays enhance the local pH on cathode by retarding OH-diffusion and enlarge the electrochemically active surface area on anode,while the conductive NiMo-based nanorods on Ni foam much decrease the charge-transfer resistances of both electrodes.This study provides an efficient strategy to explore advanced bifunctional electrocatalysts for overall water splitting by rationally hybridizing HER-and OER-active components. | Yan Zhang Biao Feng MingLei Yan Zhen Shen Yiqun Chen Jingyi Tian Fengfei Xu Guanghai Chen Xizhang Wang Lijun Yang Qiang Wu Zheng Hu | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,5: | 0 |

| 13 | Adsorption,in vitro digestion and human gut microbiota regulation characteristics of three Poria cocos polysaccharides显示文摘Poria cocos(PC)is a famous traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and a widely used healthcare ingredient,which has antiobesity,enhancing immunity and improving sleep effects.Traditionally,only water-soluble poria polysaccharide(WSP)is extracted and applied for clinical application,while insoluble polysaccharide(alkali-soluble poria polysaccharide,ASP)is discarded as herb residue.However,the whole PC has also been historically utilized as functional herbal food.Considering the beneficial role of dietary fiber and the traditional use of PC,ASP may also contribute substantially to the therapy function of PC.Compared to WSP,little attention has been paid to ASP and ASP modified product carboxymethyl poria polysaccharide(CMP)which has been used as an antitumor adjuvant drug.In this study,the oil,cholesterol,metal ions and polyphenols adsorption ability,in vitro simulated digestive and the gut microbiota fermentation characteristics of WSP,ASP and CMP were studied to evaluate the functional values of three P.cocos polysaccharides(PCPs).The results showed that all three PCPs had good adsorption capacity on cholesterol,polyphenols and metal ions(Cd^(2+)/Zn^(2+)/Mg^(2+)),among which ASP showed the highest capacity than WSP and CMP.The adsorption capacity of all three PCPs on heavy metal ions(Cd^(2+)/Zn^(2+))was stronger than that of non-heavy metal ions(Mg^(2+));The in vitro digestibility of all three PCPs was very low,but WSP was slightly higher than ASP and CMP;Moreover,the indigestible residue of all three PCPs could improve the richness and diversity of gut microbiota,among which ASP had the greatest influence.In general,ASP and CMP could significantly promote the proliferation of some probiotics and inhibit the growth of some harmful bacteria.The gut microbiota diversity of CMP was reduced,but the richness of probiotics,especially Parabacteroides distasonis was significantly enhanced compared with the ASP group,and the growth of harmful bacteria Klebsiella pneumoniae was inhibited after CMP treatment.The short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)analysis results showed that all three PCPs could significantly promote the production of acetic acid,propionic acid and the total acid content compared with blank control group,and SCFAs producing activity was positively correlated with the proliferative capacity of probiotics.Taken together,the good adsorption characteristics and gut microbiota regulatory activity of ASP may lay foundation for its lipid-lowering and immune-improving function.Additionally,the probiotic effect of CMP and ASP indicated that except for only use the water extract of PC in clinic,CMP and ASP also can be used in healthcare to take full advantage of this valuable medicine. | Fangming Zhang Hui Zheng Tao Zheng Pan Xu Yao Xu Yuxin Cao Fan Jia Yiqiong Zeng Yubing Fan Kai He Xinwen Dai Fengfei Hou Yong Yang | 2024 | Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,3: | 0 |
| 14 | Age-and Microbiota-Dependent Cell Stemness Plasticity Revealed by Cattle Cell Landscape显示文摘Newborn ruminants are considered functionally monogastric animals.The poor understanding of cellular differences between newborn and mature ruminants prevents the improvement of health and performance of domestic ruminants.Here,we performed the single-cell RNA sequencing on the rumen,reticulum,omasum,abomasum,duodenum,jejunum,ileum,cecum,colon,rectum,liver,salivary gland,and mammary gland from newborn and adult cattle.A comprehensive single-cell transcriptomic atlas covering 235,941 high-quality single cells and 78 cell types was deciphered.A Cattle Cell Landscape database(http://gffzzda05aa6fcf0f4229h60nwunw9k6fo6nok.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn)was established to elaborately display the data and facilitate effective annotation of cattle cell types and subtypes for the broad research community.By measuring stemness states of epithelial cells in each tissue type,we revealed that the epithelial cells from newborn forestomach(rumen,reticulum,and omasum)were more transcriptionally indistinct and stochastic compared with the adult stage,which was in contrast to those of abomasum and intestinal tissues.The rapid forestomach development during the early life of calves was driven by epithelial progenitor-like cells with high DNA repair activities and methylation.Moreover,in the forestomach tissues of newborn calves,the Megasphaera genus was involved in regulating the transcriptional plasticity of the epithelial progenitor-like cells by DNA methylation regulation.A novel cell type,the STOML3+cell,was found to be newborn-specific.It apparently plays a crucial role in stemness maintenance of its own and cholangiocytes in the hepatic microenvironment.Our results reveal that the age-and microbiota-dependent cell stemness plasticity drives the postnatal functional maturity of ruminants. | Jia-Jin Wu Senlin Zhu Yi-Fan Tang Fengfei Gu Teresa GValencak Jian-Xin Liu Hui-Zeng Sun | 2023 | Research2023,,3: | 0 |

| 18 | Blood neutrophil extracellular traps:a novel target for the assessment of mammary health in transition dairy cows显示文摘Background:Mammary health is important for transition dairy cows and has been well recognized to exert decisive effects on animal welfare.However,the factors influencing mammary health are still unclear.Differential somatic cell count(DSCC)could reflect the mastitis risk since it is the percentage of neutrophils plus lymphocytes in total somatic cells and could be reflective of mammary health of dairy cows.This work aimed to investigate the assessment and prognosis of the health of transition cows based on blood neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs).Results:Eighty-four transition Holstein dairy cows were selected.The serum was sampled in all the animals at week 1 pre-and postpartum,and milk was sampled at week 1 postpartum.Based on the DSCC in milk at week 1,cows with lower(7.4%±4.07%,n=15)and higher(83.3%±1.21%,n=15)DSCCs were selected.High DSCC cows had higher levels of red blood cell counts(P<0.05),hemoglobin(P=0.07),and hematocrit(P=0.05),higher concentrations of serum oxidative variables[reactive oxygen species(P<0.05),malondialdehyde(P<0.05),protein carbonyl(P<0.05),and 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine(P=0.07)],higher levels of serum and milk NETs(P<0.05)and blood-milk barrier indicators,including serumβ-casein(P=0.05)and milk immunoglobulin G2(P=0.09),than those of low DSCC cows.In addition,lower concentrations of serum nutrient metabolites(cholesterol and albumin)(P<0.05)and a lower level of serum deoxyribonuclease I(P=0.09)were observed in high DSCC cows than in low DSCC cows.Among the assessments performed using levels of the three prepartum serum parameters(NETs,deoxyribonuclease I andβ-casein),the area under the curve(0.973)of NETs was the highest.In addition,the sensitivity(1.00)and specificity(0.93)were observed for the discrimination of these cows using NETs levels with a critical value of 32.2 ng/mL(P<0.05).Conclusions:The formation of NETs in blood in transition dairy cows may damage the integrity of the blood-milk barrier and thereby increase the risk for mastitis in postpartum cows. | Luyi Jiang Huizeng Sun Fengfei Gu Jin He Fengqi Zhao Jianxin Liu | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,3: | 0 |
| 19 | Exploration of risk factors for hemoglobinuria and acute kidney injury following iliofemoral venous mechanical thrombectomy显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the risk factors for hemoglobinuria and acute kidney injury(AKI) after percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy(MT) with or without catheter-directed thrombolysis(CDT) for iliofemoral deep vein thrombosis(IFDVT).Methods: Patients with IFDVT who had MT with the Angio Jet catheter(group A), MT plus CDT(group B), or CDT alone(group C) from January 2016 to March 2020 were retrospectively evaluated. Hemoglobinuria was monitored throughout the treatment course, and postoperative AKI was assessed by comparing the preoperative(baseline) and postoperative serum creatinine(sCr) levels from the electronic medical records of all patients. AKI was defined as an elevation in the sCr level exceeding 26.5 μmol/L within 72 h after the operation according to the Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes criteria.Results: A total of 493 consecutive patients with IFDVT were reviewed, of which 382(mean age, 56 ± 11 years;41% of them were females;97 in group A, 128 in group B, and 157 in group C) were finally analyzed. Macroscopic hemoglobinuria was evident in 44.89% of the patients of the MT groups(101/225, 39 in group A, and 62 in group B), with no significant difference between the groups(P = 0.219), but not in the patients in group C. None of the patients developed AKI(mean sCr difference-2.76 ± 13.80 μmol/L, range =-80.20 to 20.60 μmol/L) within 72h after surgery.Conclusions: Rheolytic MT is an independent risk factor for hemoglobinuria.
