1Transgenic rhesus monkeys carrying the human MCPH1 gene copies show human-like neoteny of brain development显示文摘Brain size and cognitive skills are the most dramatically changed traits in humans during evolution and yet the genetic mechanisms underlying these human-specific changes remain elusive.Here,we successfully generated 11 transgenic rhesus monkeys(8 first-generation and 3 second-generation)carrying human copies of MCPH1,an important gene for brain development and brain evolution.Brain-image and tissue-section analyses indicated an altered pattern of neural-cell differentiation,resulting in a delayed neuronal maturation and neural-fiber myelination of the transgenic monkeys,similar to the known evolutionary change of developmental delay(neoteny)in humans.Further brain-transcriptome and tissue-section analyses of major developmental stages showed a marked human-like expression delay of neuron differentiation and synaptic-signaling genes,providing a molecular explanation for the observed brain-developmental delay of the transgenic monkeys.More importantly,the transgenic monkeys exhibited better short-term memory and shorter reaction time compared with the wild-type controls in the delayed-matching-to-sample task.The presented data represent the first attempt to experimentally interrogate the genetic basis of human brain origin using a transgenic monkey model and it values the use of non-human primates in understanding unique human traits.Lei Shi Xin Luo Jin Jiang Yongchang chen Cirong Liu Ting Hu Min Li Qiang Lin Yanjiao Li Jun Huang Hong Wang Yuyu Niu Yundi Shi Martin Styner Jianhong Wang Yi Lu Xuejin Sun Hualin Yu Weizhi Ji Bing Su 2019National Science Review2019,6,3:12
2Mechanical Properties of Methane Hydrate-Bearing Interlayered Sediments显示文摘The complex distribution of gas hydrate in sediments makes understanding the mechanical properties of hydrate-bearing sediments a challenging task.The mechanical behaviors of hydrate-bearing interlayered sediments are still poorly known.A series of triaxial shearing tests were conducted to investigate the strength parameters and deformation properties of methane hydrate-bearing interlayered sediments at the effective pressure of 1 MPa.The results indicate that the stress-strain curves of hydrate-bearing interlayered sediments are significantly different from that of hydrate-bearing sediments.The peak strength,Young's modulus,initial yielding modulus,and failure mode are deeply affected by the methane hydrate distribution.The failure behaviors and mechanism of strain softening and hardening patterns of the interlayered specimens are more complicated than those of the integrated specimens.This study compares the different mechanical behaviors between integrated and interlayered specimens containing gas hydrate,which can serve as a reference for the prediction and analysis of the deformation behaviors of natural gas hydrate reservoirs.DONG Lin LI Yanlong LIU Changling LIAO Hualin CHEN Guoqi CHEN Qiang LIU Lele HU Gaowei 2019Journal of Ocean University of China2019,18,6:11
3Effects of the chemical structure of surfactants on the stability of naphthenic oil-based metalworking fluids显示文摘In this study,various nonionic surfactants(NS) with different ethylene oxide(EO) numbers and tail lengths and its binary blends with anionic surfactants(AS) were used as emulsifiers for naphthenic oil to form the microemulsion metalworking fluids(MWFs),and the effects of them on the stability of the emulsion system were investigated by formulation triangle method.The results indicated that binary complex surfactants of NS and AS as emulsifiers exhibited better emulsifying effect than that of single NS.NS with different EO numbers and tail lengths presented various emulsifying effects.NS(EO=10)exhibited the greatest number of stable formulations,especially the TX-10,but no linear relationship existed between the number of stable formulations and the tail length of NS.In addition,aromatic primary alcohol ethoxy late(APAE) series surfactants containing benzene groups similar to the cycloalkanes in the naphthenic oil so that presented the best emulsifying affect and the greatest number of stable formulations.The co-surfactant of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS) binary blends with NS exerted the best synergistic effect,and the stable formulations numbers were ranged from 5 to 7,next sodium stearate(SS) comes last followed by sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS-1) and sodium dodecyl sulfonate(SDS-2).Yuan Xue Jinbao Liu Maiying Xie Fengfei Chen Mingan Zhou Hualin Lin Fan Zhang Shizhou Liu Zhiqiao Wu Sheng Han 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,2:2

7Deformation Characteristics of Hydrate-Bearing Sediments显示文摘The safe and efficient development of natural gas hydrate requires a deep understanding of the deformation behaviors of reservoirs.In this study,a series of triaxial shearing tests are carried out to investigate the deformation properties of hydrate-bearing sediments.Variations of volumetric and lateral strains versus hydrate saturation are analyzed comprehensively.Results indicate that the sediments with high hydrate saturation show dilative behaviors,which lead to strain-softening characteristics during shearing.The volumetric strain curves have a tendency to transform gradually from dilatation to compression with the increase in effective confining pressure.An easy prediction model is proposed to describe the relationship between volumetric and axial strains.The model coefficientβis the key dominating factor for the shape of volumetric strain curves and can be determined by the hydrate saturation and stress state.Moreover,a modified model is established for the calculation of lateral strain.The corresponding determination method is provided for the easy estimation of model coefficients for medium sand sediments containing hydrate.This study provides a theoretical and experimental reference for deformation estimation in natural gas hydrate development.DONG Lin LI Yanlong ZHANG Yajuan HU Gaowei LIAO Hualin CHEN Qiang WU Nengyou 2024Journal of Ocean University of China2024,23,1:0

10Effect of nanocomposite as pour point depressant on the cold flow properties and crystallization behavior of diesel fuel显示文摘The high effective nano-hybrid pour point depressant(PPD)has attracted extensive attention for its po-tential application in improving the cold flow properties of diesel fuel.In this paper,the nano-hybrid PPD was prepared by melt-blending method using three different alkyl chain lengths(i.e.,tetradecyl,hexade-cyl,and octodecyl)of n-alkyl methacrylate-maleic anhydride copolymers(R 1 MC-MA,R 1=C_(14),C_(16),C_(18))and SiO_(2)nanoparticles.The effect of those nano-hybrid PPDs on the cold filter plugging point(CFPP)and solidifying point(SP)depressing of diesel fuel were studied.Results indicated that nano-hybrid PPD showed much better performance on diesel fuel.The diesel fuel treated with 0.2 wt%C_(14)MC-MA/SiO_(2)nano-hybrid PPD exhibited the best depression in CFPP and SP by 6℃ and 18℃,respectively,which higher than that of single C 14 MC-MA.Viscosity-temperature curves and polarized optical microscopy were conducted to explore the performance mechanism;and results presented that nano-hybrid PPD of C_(14)MC-MA/SiO_(2)could effectively lower the low-temperature viscosity,and modify the crystallization behavior and crystal morphology of diesel.Therefore,the cold flow properties of diesel were significantly improved.Yuan Xue Fengfei Chen Bin Sun Hualin Lin Bin Dai Sheng Han 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,5:0
