3Zonal method solution of radiative heat transfer in a one-dimensional long roller-hearth furnace in CSP显示文摘A radiative heat transfer mathematical model for a one-dimensional long furnace was set up in a through-type roller-hearth furnace (TTRHF) in compact strip production (CSP). To accurately predict the heat exchange in the furnace, modeling of the complex gas energy-balance equation in volume zones was considered, and the heat transfer model of heating slabs and wall lines was coupled with the radiative heat transfer model to identify the surface zonal temperature. With numerical simulation, the temperature fields of gas, slabs, and wall lines in the furnace under one typical working condition were carefully accounted and analyzed. 4Scorpion venom heat-resistant protein decreases immunoreactivity of OX-42-positive microglia cells in MPTP-treated mice显示文摘BACKGROUND:Microglia function as the immune surveyors of the brain under normal physiological conditions.However,microglia become activated in response to brain injuries and immunological stimula-tion.OBJECTIVE:To explore the influence of scorpion venom(SV) heat-resistant protein on frontal cortex and hippocampal microglia cells in a mice model of Parkinson's disease.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:Randomized,controlled,cellular immunity study.The experiment was performed at the Physiology Department Laboratory in Dalian Medical University between June 2005 and July 2008.MATERIALS:Ninety-six healthy,C57Bl/6 mice;1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP) from Sigma,USA;SV heat-resistant protein(Experimental Base Institute in Dalian Medical University).The mice were randomly divided into four groups(n = 24):normal control,negative control,model,and SV heat-resistant protein.METHODS:Mice in the model and SV heat-resistant protein groups were subcutaneously injected with MPTP(20 mg/kg) to model Parkinson's disease,while the normal control and negative control groups were injected with physiological saline in the neck for 8 successive days.In addition,mice in the model and nor-mal control groups were intraperitoneally injected with physiological saline 2 hours following administration,while SV heat-resistant protein and negative control groups were injected SV heat-resistant protein(0.01 mg/kg).MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Immunoreactivity of microglia cells in MPTP-treated mice.RESULTS:Compared with normal control mice,MPTP-treated mice displayed increased OX-42 expression in the brain.However,in the SV heat-resistant protein-treated mice,OX-42 expression was decreased,com-pared to the model group.In the model mouse group,the number of OX-42-positive microglia was increased in the frontal cortex,caudatum,and hippocampal hilus,compared to the normal control mice(P < 0.01).However,in the SV heat-resistant protein-treated mice,the number of OX-42-positive microglia significantly decreased in the frontal cortex,caudatum,and hippocampal hilus,compared to the model group(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION:SV heat-resistant protein inhibited MPTP-induced microglial activation in the mouse fron-tal cortex and hippocampus,resulting in reduced microglial activation in the brain.Shengming Yin Deqin YU Xi Gao Yan Peng Yanhui Feng Jie Zhao Yiyuan Tang Wanqin Zhang 2008Neural Regeneration Research2008,3,9:4
5Genome-wide comprehensive analysis of transcriptomes and small RNAs offers insights into the molecular mechanism of alkaline stress tolerance in a citrus rootstock显示文摘Alkaline stress has serious-negative effects on citrus production.Ziyang xiangcheng(Citrus junos Sieb.ex Tanaka)(Cj)is a rootstock that is tolerant to alkaline stress and iron deficiency.Trifoliate orange(Poncirus trifoliata(L.)Raf.)(Pt),the most widely used rootstock in China,is sensitive to alkaline stress.To investigate the molecular mechanism underlying the tolerance of Cj to alkaline stress,next-generation sequencing was employed to profile the root transcriptomes and small RNAs of Cj and Pt seedlings that were cultured in nutrient solutions along a three pH gradient.This two-level regulation data set provides a system-level view of molecular events with a precise resolution.The data suggest that the auxin pathway may play a central role in the inhibitory effect of alkaline stress on root growth and that the regulation of auxin homeostasis under alkaline stress is important for the adaptation of citrus to alkaline stress.Moreover,the jasmonate(JA)pathway exhibits the opposite response to alkaline stress in Cj and Pt and may contribute to the differences in the alkaline stress tolerance and iron acquisition between Cj and Pt.The dataset provides a wealth of genomic resources and new clues to further study the mechanisms underlying alkaline stress resistance in Cj.Juxun Wu Junying Cao Mei Su Guizhi Feng Yanhui Xu Hualin Yi 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:4

7Polymer matrix mediated solvation of LiNO3 in carbonate electrolytes for quasi-solid high-voltage lithium metal batteries显示文摘Lithium(Li)metal is one of the most promising anodes for next-generation energy storage systems.However,the Li dendrite formation and unstable solid-electrolyte interface(SEI)have hindered its further application.Lithium nitrate(LiNO3)is extensively used as an effective electrolyte additive in ether-based electrolytes to improve the stability of lithium metal.Nevertheless,it is rarely utilized in carbonate electrolytes due to its low solubility.Here,a novel gel polymer electrolyte(GPE)consisting of poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF),poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA),poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)with LiN03 additive is proposed to solve this issue.In this GPE,polyether-based PEO serves as a matrix for dissolving LiNO3 which can be decomposed into a fast Li-ion conductor(Li3N)in conventional carbonate electrolytes to enhance the stability and Li^+conductivity of the SEI film.As a result,dendrite formation is effectively suppressed,and a significantly improved average Coulombic efficiency(CE)of 97.2%in Li-Cu cell is achieved.By using this novel GPE coupled with Li anode and LiNi0.5Mn0.3Co0.2O2(NMC532),excellent capacity retention of 94.1%and high average CE of over 99.2%are obtained after 200 cycles at 0.5 C.This work presents fresh insight into practical modification strategies on high-voltage Li metal batteries.Zijian Wang Kai Yang Yongli Song Hai Lin Ke Li Yanhui Cui Luyi Yang Feng Pan 2020Nano Research2020,13,9:3

9Computational and Experimental Study of Cooling Process in Coke Dry Quenching Experimental Shaft显示文摘Owing to its merits in energy savings, environmental protection and coke quality improvement, the Coke Dry Quenching (CDQ) technology is favorite in coke making industry today. In order to validate the mathematical model developed for the cooling process of real CDQ shaft, the one-seventh scale experimental setup was established. With the air as the working fluid and the coke as the packed bed, the coke and gas temperatures and the pressure drop in the cooling shaft were measured. A mathematical model based on the non-Darcian and non-thermal equilibrium model for the cooling process of the CDQ experimental shaft was presented. The computational results were compared to the experimental data. 11Fabrication, adsorption and photocatalytic properties of ZnTi0.6Fe1.4O4/Carbon nanotubes composites显示文摘ZnTi_xFe_(2–x)O_4 and ZnTi_(0.6)Fe_(1.4)O_4/Carbon nanotubes(ZT_(0.6)F_(1.4)/CNTs) composites were prepared by chemical co-precipitation method. The composition, microstructure, magnetic property, adsorption and photocatalytic activity of the prepared samples were characterized by means of modern analytical techniques. The results indicated that ZT_(0.6)F_(1.4)/CNTs composites not only held the original special structure and excellent adsorption properties of CNTs, but also had suitable magnetic property and excellent photocatalytic activity. The removal rate of the samples on Rhodamine B(RhB) depended on the adsorption of CNTs and the photocatalytic degradation of ZT_(0.6)F_(1.4) in the composites. The maximum adsorption amount(q_m) of ZT_(0.6)F_(1.4)/CNTs with the mass ratios of ZT_(0.6)F_(1.4) to CNTs(mZ/C)=1 was up to 17.153 mg g^(–1) for RhB, its adsorption behavior was in accord with Langmuir model, and its photocatalytic degradation activity on RhB had a positive correlation with the content of ZT_(0.6)F_(1.4) in the sample. The experimental results indicate that the total removal rate of composite with mZ/C=1 on RhB was more than 95% and the composite had good decontamination capability on industrial dye wastewater.
