1Synergistic instability of coal pillar and roof system and filling method based on plate model显示文摘The security challenges from room and pillar gobs include land subsidence, spontaneous combustion of coal pillars and mine flood caused by gob water. To explore the instability mechanism of room and pillar gob, we established a mechanical model of elastic plate on elastic foundation in which pillars and hard roofs were considered as continuous Winkler foundations and elastic plates, respectively. The synergetic instability of pillar and roof system was analyzed based on plate bending theory and catastrophe theory. In addition, mechanical conditions and math criterion of roof failure and overall instability of coal pillar and roof system were given. Through analyzing both advantages and disadvantages of some technologies such as induced caving, filling, gob sealing and isolation, we presented a new filling method named box-filling, in view of box foundation theory, to control the disasters of ground collapse, water inrush and mine fire. In a gob's treatment project in Ordos, safety assessment and filling design of a room and pillar gob have been done by the mechanical model. The results show that the gob will collapse when the pillars' average yield band is wider than 0.93 m, and box-filling can control land collapse, mine flood and mine fire economically and efficiently. 2Feed conversion ratio,residual feed intake and cholecystokinin type A receptor gene polymorphisms are associated with feed intake and average daily gain in a Chinese local chicken population显示文摘Background: The feed conversion ratio(FCR) and residual feed intake(RFI) are common indexes in measuring feed efficiency for livestock. RFI is a feed intake adjusted for requirements for maintenance and production so these two traits are related. Similarly, FCR is related to feed intake and weight gain because it is their ratio. Cholecystokinin type A receptor(CCKAR) plays an important role in animal digestive process. We examined the interplay of these three parameters in a local Chinese chicken population.Results: The feed intake(FI) and body weights(BW) of 1,841 individuals were monitored on a daily basis from 56 to 105 d of age. There was a strong correlation between RFI and average daily feed intake(ADFI) and a negative correlation between the FCR and daily gain(r_g=-0.710). Furthermore, we identified 51 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) in the CCKAR and 4 of these resulted in amino acid mutations. The C334A mutation was specifically associated with FI and the expected feed intake(EFI)(P < 0.01) and significantly associated with the average daily gain(ADG)(P < 0.05). G1290A was significantly associated with FI and EFI(P < 0.05).Conclusion: FCR is apply to weight selecting, and RFI is more appropriate if the breeding focus is feed intake. 4Validation results of NmF2 and hmF2 derived from ionospheric density profiles of GNOS on FY-3C satellite显示文摘The first Global Navigation Satellite System Occultation Sounder(GNOS) which is compatible of both Bei Dou System(BDS)and Global Positioning System(GPS) was successfully launched into orbit onboard the Feng Yun 3 C satellite(FY-3 C) on September 23, 2013, and it has already gathered a large amount of ionosphere radio occultation(RO) data so far. However, the detailed analysis and validation of GPS ionosphere RO data have not been done up to now. Therefore, this paper discusses the configuration of the FY-3 C GNOS, the methods and results of GPS ionosphere occultation processment, the quality analysis of the GPS ionosphere RO products, and the precision consistency between the GNOS GPS ionosphere RO product and ionosonde data. The peak electron density(Nm F2) correlation coefficient is 0.97, the corresponding standard deviation is 16.08%. The peak value altitude(hm F2) correlation coefficient is 0.89, and the corresponding standard deviation is 23.79 km. 5Enhanced catalytic activity of Ru through N modification toward alkaline hydrogen electrocatalysis显示文摘Exploring highly efficient electrocatalysts and understanding the reaction mechanisms for hydrogen electrocatalysis,including hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in alkaline media are conducive to the conversion of hydrogen energy.Herein,we reported a new strategy to boost the HER/HOR performances of ruthenium (Ru) nanoparticles through nitrogen (N) modification.The obtained N-Ru/C exhibit remarkable catalytic performance,with normalized HOR exchange current density and mass activity of 0.56 m A/cm^(2)and 0.54 m A/μg,respectively,about 4 and 4.5 times higher than those of Ru/C,and even twofold enhancement compared to commercial Pt/C.Moreover,at the overpotential of 50 m V,the normalized HER current density of N-Ru/C is 5.5 times higher than that of Ru/C.Experimental and density functional theory (DFT) results verify the electronic regulation of Ru after N incorporation,resulting in the optimized hydrogen adsorption Gibbs free energy (ΔG_(H*)) and hence enhancing the HOR/HER performance.Yuanmeng Zhao Xuewei Wang Zhen Li Pingping Zhao Congliang Tao Gongzhen Cheng Wei Luo 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,2:2

16Chitosan foam reinforced by SiC whisker for building insulation with high mechanical strength and vapor permeability显示文摘Porous foam based on renewable materials has attracted extensive attention in green energy conservation and sustainable development.However,there is still a requisite for biomass-based porous foam that could meet the demand for excellent mechanical and high thermal insulation performances for building insulation.Herein,we demonstrated a facile strategy to prepare a porous foam made from a chitosan matrix reinforced by SiC whisker,which shows good performance in building insulation and mechanical strength.The prepared porous foam has a low density(20.1–54.4 kg m^(-3))and high porosity(>97.0%).The density of the chitosan-SiC porous foam can be controlled by varying the suspension solid and SiC whisker content in the preparation process.Furthermore,the influences of SiC whisker content on the mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of the porous foams were also investigated.When the content of SiC whisker is 30 wt%,the prepared porous foam has the highest compression modulus of about 89.8 kPa and also low thermal conductivity of 0.0354 W m^(-1)K^(-1).Moreover,the prepared porous foam shows excellent water vapor permeability with a vapor resistance factor of 2.94,which is beneficial for moisture transfer in buildings.This work provides a facile way to manufacture biomass-based porous foam,which is potential for energy saving in buildings.LI DongSheng GAO Gang HUANG CongLiang 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,12:0
17Thermal Performances of High-Temperature Thermal Energy Storage System with Tin Embedded in Copper Matrix by Theoretical Methods显示文摘There is a critical need to develop advanced high-temperature thermal storage systems to improve efficiencies and reduce the costs of solar thermal storage system.In this work,two typical systems composed with Cu as matrix and Sn as the phase change material(PCM)are explored,namely,the 3-deimentional(3D)structure system by embedding Sn particles into Cu matrix and the 2-deimentional(2D)structure system by embedding Sn wires into Cu matrix.Given the thermophysical properties of a nanomaterial could be importantly different from that of a bulk one,we thus firstly derive the thermophysical properties of PCM and matrix theoretically,like the thermal conductivity by kinetic method and the specific heat capacity based on Lindemann’s criterion.And then,these properties are utilized to estimate the energy storage ability in both 3D and 2D structure system,and the influence of structure on heat transfer efficiency is theoretically investigated in both 3D and 2D structure system.Results turn out that 3D structure system is a better choice than a 2D structure system,because of larger specific surface area,a larger sensitive heat capacity and a larger thermal conductivity.When the feature size of the PCM decreases to be less than a critical value which is about 500 nm for Sn,the thermal conductivity of the system decreases exponentially while the heat storage capacity increases lineally.Moreover,when the feature size of Sn geometry is less than a critical value,which is 15 nm for 3D structure system and 25 nm for 2D structure,the Cu matrix can’t play a role in improving the effective thermal conductivity of the whole system.LAN Yingying HUANG Congliang GUO Chuwen 2022Journal of Thermal Science2022,31,5:0
18Effects of platelets on characteristics of lymphocytes cultured in vitro and optimization of adoptive immunotherapy显示文摘T lymphocytes,the main participants of cellular immunity,can express a variety of surface molecules and form different lymphocyte subsets under the induction of different factors to play the functions of immune regulation and immune killing.Studies have shown that platelets play a crucial role in maintaining the stable differentiation of lymphocytes and the balance in immunomodulation.Therefore,it is necessary to study the effect of platelets on lymphocytes in vitro to better understand the role of platelets in the immune system and broaden the application of adoptive immunotherapy.Methods:Cell counting and microscopic observation were used to detect the effect of activated platelets on lymphocyte proliferation in vitro;Flow cytometry was used to detect whether changes in platelet activity affect the proportion of lymphocyte subpopulations in vitro,and to detect differences in the expression of granzyme B;lactate dehydrogenase assay(LDH)was used to determine the difference in lymphocyte killing activity caused by platelet activity in vitro.Results:This was the first to promote lymphocyte proliferation through the expression or release of certain molecules in vitro,demonstrating that platelet activation is one of the key factors.Secondly,activated platelets or inactivated platelets promoted lymphocyte subset differentiation by enhancing the proportion of CD3+CD8+T lymphocytes(CTL cells)but had a slight effect on the proportion of CD3+CD4+T(Th cells)and CD4+CD25+T lymphocytes(Treg cells).Then,it was found that either activated platelets or inactivated platelets down-regulated the proportion of natural killer(NK)T lymphocytes,while activated platelets significantly enhance the proportion of NK lymphocytes.Therefore,by further detecting the killing activity of PBMCs treated with platelets,it was found that activated platelets promoted the extensive anti-tumor activity of lymphocytes and significantly increased the expression of granzyme B.Conclusion:Our results suggest that activated platelets promote lymphocyte proliferation,optimize lymphocyte subpopulation ratio,and promote cytotoxic effect of lymphocytes in vitro,which may provide a new strategy for optimizing the adoptive immunotherapy culture system and improving its efficacy.CONGLIANG CHEN XIAOHONG LENG YU ZHANG JUNMEI HU DAPENG WEI PEIPEI WANG XIA WANG 2023BIOCELL2023,47,12:0
19A first comprehensive evaluation of China's GNSS-R airborne campaign: part II—river remote sensing显示文摘The Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry(GNSS-R) has been proven to be a powerful technique for retrieving geophysical parameters of ocean and land. Airborne GNSS-R is an important experimental platform, because it is not only needed as validation for spaceborne application, but also possesses the advantages to be capable of remote sensing of small and medium scale targets, such as rivers and lakes. This paper presents an overview of China's airborne GNSS-R campaign conducted on May 30, 2014, in Henan. The campaign has two objectives, i.e.:(1) to examine the capability of a GNSS-R payload developed by National Space Science Center,Chinese Academy of Sciences(NSSC, CAS) for airborneobservations and(2) to study the algorithms for soil moisture and river remote sensing, including altimetry and flow velocity measurement. A previous paper has presented results of soil moisture retrieval as part I, and in this paper,initial results of the Yellow River remote sensing are presented as part II. This paper presents the river altimetry results and explores a new potential application of GNSS-R technology, which is used to detect the flow velocity of the river. The river surface height results observed by code delay altimetry method were consistent with the height results of GPS dual-frequency differential positioning altimetry. The GNSS-R altimetry results showed that decimeter level heights were achieved in 1-min sliding average. 20Non-Isothermal Dissolutive Wetting of Al-Ni and Cu-Ni Alloy Nanodroplets on a Cu(100)Substrate显示文摘The kinetics of Al-Ni and Cu-Ni nanodroplets spreading over a Cu substrate in the presence of a temperature difference between them is studied via molecular dynamics simulations.The simulations show that significant dissolution reactions occur for the two systems and there is no precursor film generated during spreading.The spreading rate significantly increases when nanodroplets contain less Ni atoms in the Al-Ni/Cu wetting systems.However,a different trend is observed in the Cu-Ni/Cu wetting systems.The spreading rate remains unchanged regardless of the ratio of Cu to Ni atoms owing to the fact that Cu and Ni have almost the same lattice constants.The simulations also demonstrate that,because of the temperature gradient between the nanodroplet and substrate,local solidification takes place in the later spreading stage,which significantly hinders spreading.Due to the mismatch of lattice constants between Al and the Cu atoms in the Al-Ni/Cu wetting systems,hexagonal closest packed(hcp),body centered cubic(bcc),and face centered cubic(fcc)arrangements of atoms are observed when the Al-Ni nanodroplets solidify completely,whereas there is only a fcc arrangement in the Cu-Ni/Cu wetting systems.WANG Shaoyu WANG Zijie WANG Shuolin YANG Yanru HUANG Congliang WANG Xiaodong 2022Journal of Thermal Science2022,31,4:0
