Discovery of the superlarge gallium ore deposit in Jungar,Inner Mongolia,North China显示文摘Mineralogy and geochemistry of No.6 Coal from the Heidaigou Mine of the Jungar Coalfield of North China were studied using instrumental neu- tron activation analysis, inductively coupled-plasma mass spectroscopy,X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, and scanning electron microscope equipped with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer. The results show that gallium concentration is as high as 44.8 μg·g?1 in the whole coal-channel sample, and varies from 30.1 μg·g?1 to 76.0 μg·g?1 (mean 51.9 μg·g?1) in the main minable benches of No.6 Coal. Such high concentration of Ga in the coal is far higher than the industrial grade (30 μg·g?1). The thickness of the main minable benches accounts for 81.9% of the whole coal bed. The laboratory high-temperature ashes (550℃) of the main minable coal benches also contain a high concentration of Ga,varying from 62.2 μg·g?1 to 178 μg·g?1,with an average of 89.2 μg·g?1. The boehmite significantly enriched in No.6 Coal is the main carrier of the high Ga in the coal. Average concentration of Ga in boehmite is 0.09%. The av- erage content of boehmite is 6.1% in the whole coal and 7.5% in the main minable benches. Boehmite is derived from the bauxite in the weathered crust of the underlying Benxi Formation in the north of the basin during the peat accumulation. The colloidal idrargillite had been shortly transported from the weathered crust to the peat mire, and owing to the compaction of the overlying strata during the peat accumulation and early diagenesis, the idrargillite colloid had begun to be dehydrated, leading to boehmite formation. A pre- liminary estimation showed that the ensured and prospected reserves of Ga in No.6 Coal are up to 6.3 ×104t and 8.57×105t,indicating a superlarge galliumore deposit. The particular paleogeography of the Jungar Coalfield and the peculiar carrier of Ga in coal suggest that this Ga ore deposit is unique in the world. Rare earth elements are also enriched in coal and laboratory ashes. The weighted average concentra- tion of the total rare earth elements is 255 μg·g?1 and 830.36 μg·g?1 in the main minable benches and their laboratory ashes, respectively. Because Al is the main composition of boehmite, aluminum and rare earth elements in No.6 Coal are also the available and valuable resources.DAI Shifeng REN Deyi LI Shengsheng 2006Chinese Science Bulletin2006,51,18:32
Coal facies evolution of the main minable coal-bed in the Heidaigou Mine, Jungar Coalfield, Inner Mongolia, northern China显示文摘The No. 6 Coal-bed from the Heidaigou Mine, Jungar Coalfield, Inner Mongolia is a super-large Ga deposit. The dominant carrier of Ga is boehmite in coal. The study of coal facies may provide genetic enrichment information of Ga and its carrier (boehmite) in the Ga deposit. On the basis of study on coal petrology and mineralogy, it was found that the No. 6 Coal-bed from the Heidaigou Mine of Jungar was enriched in inertinites and the microlitho-types were dominated by clarodurite. The maceral morphological features and association indicate that the coal-bed was formed in a dry sedimentary environment or in a periodic dry sedimentary environment caused by the alternating variations of groundwater level. The optimum conditions for the enrichment of Ga and its particular carrier (boehmite) were dominated by four transitional conditions: (1) the upper delta plain which was the transitional zone between alluvial and lower delta plains, (2) the transitional zone between the dry and wet forest swamps, being slightly apt to the dry one, (3) the transitional tree density between the thick and loose ones, and (4) the low moor that was the transitional zone between two high moors during peat accumulation.DAI ShiFeng REN DeYi LI ShengSheng ZHAO Lei ZHANG Yong 2007Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,z2:14
Magnetostratigraphy of the Zanda basin in southwest Tibet Plateau and its tectonic implications显示文摘The Zanda basin is one of the very important basins at the north slope of the Himalaya Range. Thus the study of the basin strata will provide critical information about the tectonic evolution of the Himalayan Orogenic Belt. 268 oriented block samples were collected in the 750-m-thick sections of the Zanda ba- sin. The characteristic remanent magnetization (ChRM) was isolated that decays linearly to the origin between 500oC and 690oC for most studied samples. An age range of 9.5―2.6 Ma was estimated from the correlation between our observed polarity column and the Geomagnetic Polarity Time Scale (GPTS). The age of the Zanda basin does not support the models that the South Tibetan Detach system (STDS) is one of the basin controlling faults. Given the sedimentological features in the basin and the tectonic features at the north edge of the basin, the Zanda basin was a half graben that was possibly controlled by the Karakorum fault on the northeast.WANG ShiFeng ZHANG WeiLin FANG XiaoMin DAI Shuang Oliver KEMPF 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,9:12
Characterization of the essential role of bone morphogenetic protein 9 (BMP9) in osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) through RNA interference显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are multipotent stem cells and capable of differentiating into multiple cell types including osteoblastic, chondrogenic and adipogenic lineages. We previously identified BMP9 as one of the most potent BMPs that induce osteoblastic differentiation of MSCs although exact molecular mechanism through which BMP9 regulates osteogenic differentiation remains to be fully understood. Here,we seek to develop a recombinant adenovirus system to optimally silence mouse BMP9 and then characterize the important role of BMP9 in osteogenic differentiation of MSCs.Using two different siRNA bioinformatic prediction programs,we design five siRNAs targeting mouse BMP9(or simB9),which are expressed under the control of the converging H1 and U6 promoters in recombinant adenovirus vectors. We demonstrate that two of the five siRNAs,simB9-4 and simB9-7,exhibit the highest efficiency on silencing exogenous mouse BMP9 in MSCs.Furthermore,simB9-4 and simB9-7 act synergistically in inhibiting BMP9-induced expression of osteogenic markers, matrix mineralization and ectopic bone formation from MSCs.Thus, our findings demonstrate the important role of BMP9 in osteogenic differentiation of MSCs.The characterized simB9 siRNAs may be used as an important tool to investigate the molecular mechanism behind BMP9 osteogenic signaling. Our results also indicate that recombinant adenovirus-mediated expression of siRNAs is efficient and sustained, and thus may be used as an effective delivery vehicle of siRNA therapeutics.Shujuan Yan Ruyi Zhang Ke Wu Jing Cui Shifeng Huang Xiaojuan Ji Liping An Chengfu Yuan Cheng Gong Linghuan Zhang Wei Liu Yixiao Feng Bo Zhang Zhengyu Dai Yi Shen Xi Wang Wenping Luo Bo Liu Rex C.Haydon Michael J.Lee Russell R.Reid Jennifer Moriatis Wolf Qiong Shi Hue H.Luu Tong-Chuan He Yaguang Weng 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,2:8
Structure change of 430 stainless steel in the heating process显示文摘The microstructure analysis was employed for the ferritic stainless steel(SUS430)with the carbon content from 0.029wt% to 0.100wt% under the simulated heating process condition. The higher carbon sample(430H)contains the duplex phase micro- structure at the temperature of 1150℃;on the other hand, the lower carbon content sample(430L)does not touch two phase area even at the temperature of 1450℃and has the single phase ferritic microstructure. The carbon content need be well controlled for the 430 ferritic stainless steel since it can significantly affect the heating process curve, and the heating process may not be done in the two phase area due to the uncontrolled carbon content. With the low carbon content and the proper soaking time, the grain size is not sensitive to the heating process temperature and the soaking time.In the present heat treatment experiments, the soaking time is about 10 min,and the processing parameters can be chosen according to the requirement of the gross energy, the efficiency and the continual forming.Xinzhong Liu Jingtao Han Wanhua Yu Shifeng Dai 2008Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,1:6

TOF-SIMS Study of the Hydrocarbon-generating Potential of Mineral-Bituminous Groundmass显示文摘The TOF-SIMS fragment peak ascription of organic and inorganic ions of mineral-bituminous groundmass of Jurassic source rocks in the Turpan-Hami and Junggar basins was studied by using the high-resolution Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (TOF-SIMS). The characteristics of spectrum distribution and constitution of fragment ions of the mineral-bituminous groundmass are discussed; then the methods of evaluating its hydrocarbon-generating potential are developed. In addition, the typical parameters, XAL, Yox and ZAR, for indicating the hydrocarbon-generating potential of mineral-bituminous and other organic matter in source rocks are put forward to reflect the aliphatic, oxygenous, and aromatic structures. It is confirmed by Rock-Eval that these parameters are significant in evaluating hydrocarbon generation. Moreover, the detection of the nitrogenous and oxygenous fragment ion, CH5NO3+, in the mudstone formed in semi-deep lakes and in the carbargilite formed in the arms of lakes reflectsDAI Shifeng REN Deyi YANG Jianye ZHANG Weibiao JIAO Fangli 2000Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2000,74,1:4
The development of a sensitive fluorescent protein-based transcript reporter for high throughput screening of negative modulators of lncRNAs显示文摘While the human genome is pervasively transcribed,<2%of the human genome is transcribed into protein-coding mRNAs,leaving most of the transcripts as noncoding RNAs,such as microRNAs and long-noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs),which are critical components of epigenetic regulation.lncRNAs are emerging as critical regulators of gene expression and genomic stability. However,it remains largely unknown about how lncRNAs are regulated. Here,we develop a highly sensitive and dynamic reporter that allows us to identify and/or monitor negative modulators of lncRNA transcript levels in a high throughput fashion.Specifically,we engineer a fluorescent fusion protein by fusing three copies of the PEST destruction domain of mouse ornithine decarboxylase(MODC)to the C-terminal end of the codon-optimized bilirubin-inducible fluorescent protein, designated as dBiFP,and show that the dBiFP protein is highly destabilized, compared with the commonly-used eGFP protein. We further demonstrate that the dBiFP signal is effectively down-regulated when the dBiFP and mouse lncRNA H19 chimeric transcript is silenced by mouse H19-specific siRNAs.Therefore, our results strongly suggest that the dBiFP fusion protein may serve as a sensitive and dynamic transcript reporter to monitor the inhibition of lncRNAs by microRNAs,synthetic regulatory RNA molecules,RNA binding proteins,and/or small molecule inhibitors so that novel and efficacious inhibitors targeting the epigenetic circuit can be discovered to treat human diseases such as cancer and other chronic disorders.Zongyue Zeng Bo Huang Shifeng Huang Ruyi Zhang Shujuan Yan Xinyi Yu Yi Shu Chen Zhao Jiayan Lei Wenwen Zhang Chao Yang Ke Wu Ying Wu Liping An Xiaojuan Ji Cheng Gong Chengfu Yuan Linghuan Zhang Wei Liu Yixiao Feng Bo Zhang Zhengyu Dai Yi Shen Xi Wang Wenping Luo Rex C.Haydon Hue H.Luu Lan Zhou Russell R.Reid Tong-Chuan He Xingye Wu 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,1:4
