1Progress in Global Gas Hydrate Development and Production as a New Energy Resource显示文摘Natural gas hydrates have been hailed as a new and promising unconventional alternative energy,especially as fossil fuels approach depletion,energy consumption soars,and fossil fuel prices rise,owing to their extensive distribution,abundance,and high fuel efficiency.Gas hydrate reservoirs are similar to a storage cupboard in the global carbon cycle,containing most of the world's methane and accounting for a third of Earth's mobile organic carbon.We investigated gas hydrate stability zone burial depths from the viewpoint of conditions associated with stable existence of gas hydrates,such as temperature,pressure,and heat flow,based on related data collected by the global drilling programs.Hydrate-related areas are estimated using various biological,geochemical and geophysical tools.Based on a series of previous investigations,we cover the history and status of gas hydrate exploration in the USA,Japan,South Korea,India,Germany,the polar areas,and China.Then,we review the current techniques for hydrate exploration in a global scale.Additionally,we briefly review existing techniques for recovering methane from gas hydrates,including thermal stimulation,depressurization,chemical injection,and CH4-CO2 exchange,as well as corresponding global field trials in Russia,Japan,United States,Canada and China.In particular,unlike diagenetic gas hydrates in coarse sandy sediments in Japan and gravel sediments in the United States and Canada,most gas hydrates in the northem South China Sea are non-diagenetic and exist in fine-grained sediments with a vein-like morphology.Therefore,especially in terms of the offshore production test in gas hydrate reservoirs in the Shenhu area in the north slope of the South China Sea,Chinese scientists have proposed two unprecedented techniques that have been verified during the field trials:solid fluidization and formation fluid extraction.Herein,we introduce the two production techniques,as well as the so-called'fbur-in-one'environmental monitoring system employed during the Shenhu production test.Methane is not currently commercially produced from gas hydrates anywhere in the world;therefore,the objective of field trials is to prove whether existing techniques could be applied as feasible and economic production methods for gas hydrates in deep-water sediments and permafrost zones.Before achieving commercial methane recovery from gas hydrates,it should be necessary to measure the geologic properties of gas hydrate reservoirs to optimize and improve existing production techniques.Herein,we propose horizontal wells,multilateral wells,and cluster wells improved by the vertical and in dividual wells applied during existing field trials.It is noteworthy that relatively pure gas hydrates occur in seafloor mounds,within near-surface sediments,and in gas migration conduits.Their extensive distribution,high saturation,and easy access mean that these types of gas hydrate may attract considerable attention from academia and industry in the future.Herein,we also review the occurrence and development of concentrated shallow hydrate accumulations and briefly introduce exploration and production techniques.In the closing section,we discuss future research needs,key issues,and major challenges related to gas hydrate exploration and production.We believe this review article provides insight on past,present,and future gas hydrate exploration and production to provide guidelines and stimulate new work into the field of gas hydrates.LIU Liping SUN Zhilei ZHANG Lei WU Nengyou Yichao Qin JIANG Zuzhou GENG Wei CAO Hong ZHANG Xilin ZHAI Bin XU Cuiling SHEN Zhicong JIA Yonggang 2019Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3:13
2Distribution,Frequency and Variation of Stripe Rust Resistance Loci Yr10,Lr34/Yr18 and Yr36 in Chinese Wheat Cultivars显示文摘Wheat stripe rust is a devastating disease in many regions of the world.In wheat,49 resistance genes for stripe rust have been officially documented,but only three genes are cloned,including the race-specific resistance Yr10 candidate gene(Yr10_(CG)) and slow-rusting genes Lr34/Yr18(hereafter designated as Yr18) and Yr36.In this study,we developed gene-specific markers for these genes and used them to screen a collection of 659 wheat accessions,including 485 Chinese cultivars.Thirteen percent and eleven percent of the tested Chinese cultivars were positive for the markers for Yr10_(CG) and Yr18_(RH)(the resistant haplotype of Yr18),respectively,but none were positive for the Yr36 marker.Since there is a limited use of the Yr10 gene in Chinese wheat,the relatively high frequency of wheat varieties with the Yr10_(CG) marker suggests that the identity of the Yr10 gene is unknown.With regards to the Yr18 gene,29%of the tested cultivars that are used in the Middle and Lower Yangtze Valleys' winter wheat zone were positive for Yr18_(RH) markers.A non-functional allele of Yr18_(RH) was identified in 'Mingxian 169',a commonly used susceptible check for studying stripe rust.The data presented here will provide useful information for marker-assisted selection for wheat stripe rust resistance.Cuiling Yuan Hui Jiang Honggang Wang Kun Li Heng Tang Xianbin Li Daolin Fu 2012Journal of Genetics and Genomics2012,39,11:12
3Numerical simulation of the pulsing air separation field based on CFD显示文摘The flow field of pulsing air separation is normally in an unsteady turbulence state.With the application of the basic principles of multiphase turbulent flows,we established the dynamical computational model,which shows a remarkable variation of the unstable pulsing air flow field.CFD(computational fluid dynamics) was used to conduct the numerical simulation of the actual geometric model of the classifier.The inside velocity of the flowing fields was analyzed later.The simulation results indicate that the designed structure of the active pulsing air classifier provided a favorable environment for the separation of the particles with different physical characters by density.We shot the movement behaviors of the typical tracer grains in the active pulsing flow field using a high speed dynamic camera.The displacement and velocity curves of the particles in the continuous impulse periods were then analyzed.The experimental results indicate that the effective separation by density of the particles with the same settling velocity and different ranges of the density and particle size can be achieved in the active pulsing airflow field.The experimental results provide an agreement with the simulation results.He Jingfeng He Yaqun Zhao Yuemin Duan Chenlong Ye Cuiling 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,2:12
4Intrinsic apoptotic pathway and G2/M cell cycle arrest involved in tubeimoside I-induced EC109 cell death显示文摘Objective: Squamous esophageal carcinoma is highly prevalent in developing countries, especially in China. Tu Bei Mu (TBM), a traditional folk medicine, has been used to treat esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) for a long term. tubeimoside I (TBMS1) is the main component of TBM, exhibiting great anticancer potential. In this study, we investigated the mechanism of TBMS1 cytotoxic effect on EC109 cells. Methods: Comparative nuclear proteomic approach was applied in the current study and we identified several altered protein spots. Further biochemical studies were carried out to detect the mitochondrial membrane potential, cell cycle and corresponding proteins' expression and location. Results: Subcellular proteomic study in the nucleus from EC109 cells revealed that altered proteins were associated with mitochondrial function and cell proliferation. Further biochemical studies showed that TBMS1-induced molecular events were related to mitochondria-induced intrinsic apoptosis and P21-cyclin B1/cdc2 complex-related G2/M cell cycle arrest. 5Current perspectives on in vitro maturation and its effects on oocyte genetic and epigenetic profiles显示文摘In vitro maturation(IVM), the maturation in culture of immature oocytes, has been used in clinic for more than 20 years.Although IVM has the specific advantages of low cost and minor side effects over controlled ovarian stimulation, the prevalence of IVM is less than 1% of routine in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer techniques in many reproductive centers. In this review, we searched the MEDLINE database for all full texts and/or abstract articles published in English with content related to oocyte IVM mainly between 2000 and 2016. Many different aspects of the IVM method may influence oocyte potential,including priming, gonadotrophin, growth factors, and culture times. The culture conditions of IVM result in alterations in the oocyte or cumulus cell transcriptome that are not observed under in vivo culture conditions. Additionally, epigenetic modifications, such as DNA methylation or acetylation, are also different between in vitro and in vivo cultured oocytes. In sum,current IVM technique is still not popular and requires more systematic and intensive research to improve its effects and applications. 7Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity of Nanoparticle-Aggregated Ag–AgX(X=Cl, Br)@TiO_2 Microspheres Under Visible Light显示文摘Ag–AgX(X = Cl, Br)@TiO_2 nanoparticle-aggregated spheres with different mass ratio of R = TiO2/Ag(X) from 35:1 to 5:1 were synthesized by a facile sol–gel technique with post-photoreduction. The photocatalytic activities of both Ag–Ag Cl@TiO_2 and Ag–Ag Br@TiO_2 under visible light are effectively improved by ~3 times relative to TiO_2 NPAS under the simulated sunlight for the decomposition of methyl orange(MO). Ag–AgBr@TiO_2 showed 30% improvement and less stable in photocatalytic activity than that of AgCl@TiO_2. The role of Ag and Ag X nanoparticles on the surface of Ag–Ag X(X = Cl,Br)@TiO_2 was discussed. Ag on these samples not onlycan efficiently harvest visible light especially for Ag Cl, but also efficiently separate excited electrons and holes via the fast electron transfer from Ag X(X = Cl, Br) to metal Ag nanoparticles and then to TiO_2-aggregated spheres on the surface of heterostructure. 8Forensic Automatic Speaker Recognition Based on Likelihood Ratio Using Acoustic-phonetic Features Measured Automatically显示文摘Forensic speaker recognition is experiencing a remarkable paradigm shift in terms of the evaluation framework and presentation of voice evidence.This paper proposes a new method of forensic automatic speaker recognition using the likelihood ratio framework to quantify the strength of voice evidence.The proposed method uses a reference database to calculate the within-and between-speaker variability.Some acoustic-phonetic features are extracted automatically using the software VbiceSauce.The effectiveness of the approach was tested using two Mandarin databases:A mobile telephone database and a landline database.The experimenfs results indicate that these acoustic-phonetic features do have some discriminating potential and are worth trying in discrimination.The automatic acoustic-phonetic features have acceptable discriminative performance and can provide more reliable results in evidence analysis when fused with other kind of voice features.Huapeng Wang Cuiling Zhang 2015Journal of Forensic Science and Medicine2015,1,2:4

14Baicalin inhibits inflammation of lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury via toll like receptor-4/myeloid differentiation primary response 88/nuclear factor-kappa B signaling pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the effect and mechanism of baicalin in the treatment of acute lung injury(ALI)by in vivo and in vitro experiments.METHODS:ALI was induced by instilling 10 mg/m L lipopolysaccharide(LPS)into the airway of rats.Different doses of baicalin(50 and 100 mg·kg^(-1)·d^(-1 ))were administered by gavage one day before modeling.RESULTS:Baicalin significantly reduced the permeability of the alveolocapillary membrane,alleviated tissue injury and inflammatory infiltration,and inhibited the secretion of inflammatory factors and the infiltration of neutrophils.The decline in these inflammations was related to the inhibition of the toll like receptor-4(TLR4)/myeloid differentiation factor 88(My D88)/nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)/nod-like receptor pyrin containing 3(NLRP3)signaling pathway and the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathway.CONCLUSIONS:Baicalin inhibits the secretion of inflammatory factors by inhibiting the TLR4-My D88-NF-κB/NLRP3 pathway and the MAPK signaling pathway.Thus,it reduces lung bronchial epithelial layer,alveolar damage,and pulmonary edema as detected in the in vivo and in vitro experiments.Therefore,baicalin may be a potential preventive and therapeutic drug for ALI.ZHU Changle FENG Cuiling FENG Feng Yao Xiaoqin WANG Guishu SHI Liangtian ZHENG Jiakun 2022Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,2:3
15Granulosa cell proliferation differentiation and its role in follicular development显示文摘Granulosa cells (GCs) are the most important cells in the ovary that undergo serious changes morphologi- cally and physiologically during the processes of follicular proliferation, differentiation, ovulation, lutenization and atresia. Oocyte (OC) directs GC proliferation and differen- tiation, while GCs influence OC maturation. Many ovarian factors are involved in the regulation of these processes via different molecular mechanisms and signal pathways. P38 MAPK can selectively regulate steroidogenesis in GCs con- trolled by FSH; Transcript factors LRH-1 and DAX-1 play an important role in this process; FSH induces GC prolifera- tion and differentiation by stimulating PCNA and StAR ex- pression and steroidogenesis. Activated ERK1/2 signal pathway may be involved in the FSH-regulated GC prolif- eration and differentiation. Therefore,GC is an ideal model for studying cell proliferation, differentiation and interaction as well as signal transduction. 17Analyzing Population Density Disparity in China with GIS-automated Regionalization: The Hu Line Revisited显示文摘The famous ’Hu Line’, proposed by Hu Huanyong in 1935, divided China into two regions(southeast and northwest) of comparable area size but drastically different in population. However, the classic Hu Line was derived manually in absence of reliable census data and computational technologies of modern days. It has been subject to criticism of lack of scientific rigor and accuracy. This research uses a GIS-automated regionalization method, termed REDCAP(Regionalization with Dynamically Constrained Agglomerative Clustering and Partitioning), to reconstruct the demarcation line based on the 2010 county-level census data in China. The results show that the logarithmic transformation of population density is a better measure of attributive homogeneity in derived regions than density itself, and produces two regions of nearly identical area size and greater contrast in population. Specifically, the revised Hu Line by Hu Huanyong in 1990 had the southeast region with 94.4% of total population and 42.9% of total land, and our delineation line yields a southeast region with 97.4% population and 50.8% land. Therefore, the population density ratio of the two regions is 27.1 by our line, much higher than the ratio of 22.4 by the Hu Line, and thus outperforms the Hu Line in deriving regions of maximum density contrast with comparable area size. 18The Character and Formation of Elongated Depressions on the Upper Bulgarian Slope显示文摘Seafloor elongated depressions are indicators of gas seepage or slope instability. Here we report a sequence of slopeparallel elongated depressions that link to headwalls of sediment slides on upper slope. The depressions of about 250 m in width and several kilometers in length are areas of focused gas discharge indicated by bubble-release into the water column and methane enriched pore waters. Sparker seismic profiles running perpendicular and parallel to the coast, show gas migration pathways and trapped gas underneath these depressions with bright spots and seismic blanking. The data indicate that upward gas migration is the initial reason for fracturing sedimentary layers.
